I've had a 1960s spy themed lookbook on my to-do list for quite some time now, so when @surely-sims and @ice-creamforbreakfast released their fabulous Poppy collection last week it was the final push I needed to bring it to life. They've created so many fun patterns and colour combinations, but I thought I'd draw on the classic Spy vs Spy comics by sticking to a black and white palette.

Having Thorne around more often is hard to get used to...I still feel guilty, about everything that happened with Wren, but I know I can't tell him. I just can't. I still love him, even when I get mad, but it's because I love him that I can't tell...besides, we have the kids, I don't want to do anything that might ruin their happiness.

Besides, Thorne has spent so much time off in the city, away from me...he's probably been screwing someone on the side. Right? I know I'm right.

So, Wren came by today. We, like, totally haven't talked since...you know. The whatever. So I wasn't expecting it. And Jesus Christ, he's full of surprises. He said that he feels really bad, and that it was a stupid thing to do, and that's why he's been keeping his distance. And he said - get this - that he likes me as a friend, but not that way, because he's probably gay, so we can keep being friends but that's all.

WTF??? I mean obviously I wasn't going to screw him again, but did I freaking turn him gay? I didn't know I could do that!

Suddenly Thorne is finding the time to be around to help out. Gee, I wonder what's different about this one? I mean, seriously. Yay, lucky him, he has a boy now, whatever. At least it gives ME some time for myself - to take Beauty out for rides, like I used to. She's getting a lot more exercise lately, Mandy has been riding her after school too.

I think Thorne is being stupid and transparent about his freaking misogyny, so I'm mad at him, but nothing could make me mad at little Sterling. He's such a champ. Or maybe I'm just a really good mom now? It's probably both but mostly the second one.

I'm NOT going to say that having another kid is making shit easier. But honestly, I feel like I'm totally getting into the swing of it now. Like, I'm on top of the chores, everyone has their snacks when they need it, their clean diapers when they need it - I'm basically a pro! Plus Mandy is at school now, which is a total lifesaver.

Sterling is such a sweetie. He toots all the freaking time, but it's not like it's his fault.

Thorne couldn't make it home for Mandy's birthday party...of-freaking-course. I mean, sure, he wasn't the one who asked to have kids, but he's still her dad, he's still supposed to be here. I don't think my dad missed a single one of our birthday parties...

Anyhow I did my best, between trying to keep Pear from destroying the house, and looking after Sterling. Hey, this means one less of them will be underfoot! I mean, and she'll get to have lots of fun at school and whatever.

I thought I'd be less scared this time than I was for Pear's birth - nope, I was just as freaking terrified! But it went well. Thorne was there, and the C-section went smoothly, and now we have a little baby boy. His name is Sterling Bailey.

Thorne had to fly out to Del Sol Valley the very next day, which is sort of a good thing, because I've been spending a lot of time looking down on Sterling and trying to decide...if he looks more like Thorne or like Wren. I'm being so stupid! Statistically, obviously, he’s Thorne’s. Like, I shouldn't even worry about it.

"how many more years until they start school?" omg so i love erica, but as a teacher, i feel like she'd be THEE most annoying parent to deal with!! like, never following school policy, making unreasonable demands, not understanding that we have 20 other kids in the classroom to deal with...

oh, yeah. absolutely. she'd give you her three feral untrained children and not take a lick of criticism. she'd try to pawn the littlest ones off on the kindergarten teacher just to get a day alone. she'd send her kids with lunchables and candy every day, then get mad if they got ice cream at a school event. teachers will pass her precious angels on to the next grade just so they don't have to see her at parent teacher conferences anymore.

Pear is starting to manage better on her own these days - but she can also walk now, which means she's making a lot more trouble. How many more years until they start school...?

Pear and Mandy are such a handful...but sometimes I feel like I'm doing it right. Am I doing it right? Are they reaching their milestones on schedule...am I good at this?

I'm so freaking tired!
