Não exatamente me incomoda, só me surpreende na maior parte da vezes. Acho que estou acostumada com minha mãe, minha avó, meus primos sempre dando voltas e voltas para falar qualquer coisa. It’s kinda… refreshing to know someone who doesn’t sugar-coat everyting for me.

It’s… complicated. Todo mundo de fora geralmente pensa que somos uma grande família feliz, mas somos como qualquer outra família que você possa conhecer, temos nossos desentendimentos também. E aparentemente esse é um deles.

Bom, minha família só tem desentendimentos, nada de felicidade. É uma merda, mas faz parte. Espero que as coisas entre vocês se resolvam eventualmente, a não ser que você seja como eu, e acabe sempre sendo a ovelha desgarrada e a má influência.

Tell me about it. Você pode não estar familiarizado com famílias como a minha, mas fingir perfeição é um pré-requisito de todas elas. Nas fotos dos jornais são completamente perfeitas, mas quando você olha mais de perto… são podres.

Duvido que nenhuma das duas não goste nenhum pouco de você. Irmãs mais novas geralmente se apegam ao irmão mais velho. Talvez a caçula? Neslihan, você disse? Talvez ela goste de você e você só não perceba. Proteger os interesses do seu pai… Se você me falar que faz isso usando casamentos então eu vou ter que te informar que a minha família faz a mesma coisa há séculos. Heathcliff e Ashlinn são noivos, o casamento tá pra sair há tempos e até hoje nada. Mas foi a maneira que encontraram de manter tudo… em família. Seu setor não vai sentir sua falta e esses mapas podem esperar, então… devemos continuar falando sobre família? Aparentemente é algo que vai render bastante.

E nós estamos no meio dessa podridão. É assim que a gente acaba justificando nossos erros e falhas de caráter. É tudo culpa da família no fim das contas. 

Danyal é o irmão mais velho a quem elas se apegaram, não eu. Eu passei a maior parte da infância delas longe de casa, já que fui o único da família que frequentou Durmstrang. Estou ansioso pelo dia em que elas vão perceber que gostam de mim e que tudo o que eu tenho feito é para o bem delas. Oh, eu estou tentando casar Reyman com algum jovem de outra família que esteja a altura dos Rowle, mas ela tem sido extremamente resistente a essa ideia. Ela acredita em amor e coisas desse tipo. Olha só, eu não imaginava isso. Achei que os dois estivessem vivendo uma eterna lua de mel, pelo menos é o que parece. Podemos falar do que você quiser, só não posso garantir que vou ser sempre sincero. Mas cabe a você descobrir se estou mentindo ou não. Pode ser nosso jogo particular.

A nossa casa é grande, mas realmente, não é fácil. Brigamos a maior parte do tempo e I’m not sure if I fit in there. Aparentemente temos mais em comum do que pensava, então. Passei a maior parte da minha vida me sentindo de fora. There’s Heath and Ash, Levi and Sage and then there’s me. 

Bem, pelo que eu entendi sobre a sua proposta de encontro a gente não teria muito tempo para conversar sobre nossas famílias… so why don’t just talk now? O meu antigo chefe escondeu uma garrafa de bebida há algum tempo, dizem que quanto mais velha melhor.

Isso é algo que consigo entender bem demais. É óbvio que famílias não são perfeitas e acredito que parecem ser, estão apenas fingindo. É o que todas fazem, a minha inclusa. 

No meu caso, Reyman e Neslihan são inseparáveis e Danyal é o cavaleiro brilhante que protege as duas de assumirem suas responsabilidades. Eu acabo sendo o vilão da história por defender os interesses do meu pai e por zelar pela nossa família. É um fardo que eu já aprendi a carregar, de qualquer forma. Bring the boose then. Tenho certeza que meu setor não vai sentir minha falta tão cedo.

Complicado poderia ser mais um dos nossos sobrenomes. Mas sim, é meu primo ou algo assim. A família é bem grande, fomos criados juntos e as idades são próximas. Heathcliff e Levi são irmãos e filhos de um primo da minha mãe, e aí tem Sage e a Ash que não são realmente minhas primas, mas é como se fossem. Às vezes nem todo o tamanho da propriedade da família era suficiente para nós. A sua família é grande também?

Imagino que deva ser difícil manter todo mundo junto debaixo do mesmo teto, principalmente sendo uma família como a de vocês. Pode se dizer que sim... Eu tenho um irmão mais velho, Danyal, e duas irmãs mais novas, Reyman e Neslihan. Não sou exatamente próximo de nenhum deles, na verdade, acho que preferem que eu não seja. É uma longa história que talvez você não queira ouvir antes de sequer termos um primeiro encontro de verdade.

Agora sou eu quem digo que você não é muito bom em esconder suas intenções. Você é sempre tão direto assim? I’ll be there. E não precisa se preocupar com a minha família, não vamos ter o mesmo problema da última vez. Levi não vai ter a chance de atrapalhar nada dessa vez.

Nem sempre. Algumas pessoas exigem um nível maior de lábia e persuasão, mas eu assumi que não precisava me preocupar muito com isso, levando em conta como fomos interrompidos da última vez. Acho que nós dois queremos continuar de onde paramos. 

Levi, certo. Tinha me esquecido dele. Seu primo? Aliás, sua família parece ser algo complicado por si só. Entendo um bocado sobre isso.
