Me: *never write poems and hardly ever reads them*
Also me: OMG IT WOULD BE SO COOL IF I COULD GIVE MY CHAPTERS TITLES THAT NOT ONLY MAKE SENSE BUT TOGETHER IN THE INDEX FORM A POEM! A FRIKKEN INDEX POEM! THAT MATCHES THE REST OF THE BOOK! WHY HAVE I NEVER SEEN THIS OMG!
... joking aside, this is kind of me in a nutshell. Though I am genuinely surprised I haven't seen it because it is a cool concept. If I can't find any examples, I'm gonna have to make it a thing. Even if poetry isn't my thing.
I want to see it

And for people like me, who worry people wouldn't like it and so on... You're probably fine. I mean, I enjoy seeing snippets of plot, and process and concept doodles etc and I doubt I'm the only one who likes it. Y'all be fine :3
Reblog this if you're a writeblr and you wouldnt mind:
Random asks about your wips
Being tagged in tag games by people you don't know yet
Strangers complimenting your work
Fellow writeblrs striking up conversations
Interaction with new writeblrs in general
I see so many folks afraid to jump in to the community, so hopefully this post will lay out like a welcome mat for new folks to come say hi :)

I want to create a language for this story. I want to give the land and the towns names that makes sense. I want to create idioms, swears and puns that isn't based solely on human religions/places/cultures. I want my lonely little human to have to learn a new language.
The downside is that I'm gonna have to start by deciding what kind of phonetical and grammatical rules it will have and I'm not very good and making up my mind

One thing I do NOT look forward to when it comes to worldbuilding is figuring out how the government should work. I want there to be some version of a parliament, because a flock of owls are called a parliament and the prince is an owl-demon, but I have no idea how those actually work and I don't want to do the research needed. And I'm 85% sure the plot is going to demand that at least I know the basics of how their government works

Unnamed character from my WIP. Not sure if I'm gonna let her be the mother or grandma of my MC and her brother. At the moment I'm just enjoying her design and the ideas I have for her. One day I might even colour her, lol.

Hello!
Welcome to my new blog, created for my WIP: Hearts of Stone Music and Murder! It’s a murder mystery in a modern fantasy setting, but instead of mostly following the investigator I’m testing (at least in the first draft) to follow other characters:
Dr. Ischel, Prince Stolas’ head doctor and occasionally the local morgue’s expertise coroner-assistant
Estra, Maestra of the Royal Orchestra and a powerful Music Mage
Kaj, the poor human who found the first body, also the only human in the first book
Prince Stolas himself, the owl-demon who rules the land
In this blog I will mainly post concept art of characters and how I developed them and/or thoughts about them, as well as concept art of the world, environment, architecture, fashion etc. Perhaps most of it won’t make it the final cut, but it still helps me develop the world.
If you have any questions for me whatsoever about this project of mine, feel free to drop an ask!
