The song in the new Stranger Things 5 teaser:
Child In Time
by Deep Purple, 1968
Sweet child in time / You'll see the line / The line that's drawn between Good and bad / See the blind man / Shooting at the world / Bullets flying / Ohh taking toll / If you've been bad / Oh Lord I bet you have / And you've not been hit / Oh by flying lead / You'd better close your eyes / Ooohhhh bow your head / Wait for the ricochet / I wanna hear you sing

I don't entertain people having doomerism not because I'm an overconfident person, but because all of their doubts come from emotional and irrational reactions to minor things. They are seeing omens and signs, they jump to conclusions and forget that a good TV show isn't just a sequence of random things happening one after another. There should always be a clear narrative structure and logic to character's arcs. At this point in time, the Duffers haven't done anything for me to question their writing abilities, but if they decide to dumb down their own show or make questionable decisions, I still wouldn't be the one made to look like a fool in the end.
The thing is, in order to see the logical conclusion, you need to look at the show as a whole - not at one season at a time, not at a scene out of context.
What would make sense, as a whole, for Will's arc? For Mike's? For El's? What impact would El and Mike's "happy end" have on an overall progression of the show? What aftertaste would their emotional rollercoaster of a relationship leave after we've seen how unhappy and incompatible they were in season 3 or 4? Would that be satisfying to see another season of Mike and El's relationship drama, but this time it ends in a tepid happily ever after? Does it make sense for El as a character? Does it make sense for Mike? Does the final season magically solve all of their problems?
Would it be satisfying for Will to be tortured again and again, only for the boy he loves to reject him romantically, on top of all of that? Or to die? Or get some random extra as a boyfriend, just as a consolation prize? It would be the stupidest, most pointless writing decision to make Will fall in love with Mike just for him to get disappointed again. What lesson does this character take from this? That he can't have the things he wants? That he has to settle down for less, outgrow the things he loves and be content that his friends and family support and accept him? Be content with the bare minimum. Be the only character who doesn't get to experience romantic relationship on screen. We're not watching a tragedy.
The only question you need to ask yourself is does this make for a great story?
#I mean bad stories have definitely been made before however I have trust in this being a well written one#Not saying there won't be deaths or tragedy but I expect it to be a satisfying conclusion to the show

Don't you think it's weird? What? How we only seem to hang out when the world's about to end?

#No#Not in the traditional sense#No flying or fire or electricity or mind reading or whatever#But I do firmly believe he has subconsciously influenced the way in which the upside down and creatures and supernatural manifest because#if whatever he's been through#Arguably as have many of the other characters too

why are the upside down portals so fleshy, veiny, and biological?

portals and dimensions are usually depicted in sci-fi as rifts that are intergalactic and energy-driven. but these rifts evoke “blood-brain barrier” much more than they evoke “inter-dimensional portal.” your initial reaction watching someone go through them is likely “ewww, nasty” or even “ouch” and not “woah, alternate dimensions!”
it’s a weird choice that lends even more credence to the popular theory that will (vecna’s ‘builder,’ as he called him) created the upside down dimension from within his own mind and brain the day he disappeared… which is why the UD is a replica of hawkins frozen on that day, and why he can still ‘feel’ vecna and the mindflayer, despite not having been possessed since S2. he can feel them bc they’re both still inside his mind !!
