Places in Philippines I want to backpack my way into.

I dunno lately I’ve caught the wanderlust bug and I may have grown up in Philippines. I may speak the language and look like one. But I moved overseas at a young age and I never really got to experience Philippines in a good way except for christmas and new years day with family at one place. So now that I still have time, strength and some money I want to explore most of Philippines and actually be proud of my heritage. 

So now I want to visit these places down below within the realistic and achievable timeframe of at least 3 years. I’m giving myself a deadline before I start my practicum years of my Psych degree or even before I graduate with my Psych degree. 

1. San Juan, La Union and La Union in General

Now I’ve visited San Juan, La Union before to visit my brother before and i fell in love with the place and i never got to fully explore all of La Union. now most of my pictures are of surfing coz well my bro is a surfer instructor there.. and I stayed with him most of the time. So here are the things that I wanna do when i do go back again.

Things to do in La Union:

Go Surfing again

Visit Macho Temple at San Fernando, La Union

Go to Pindangan Ruins at Ministreto, San Fernando, La Union

Visit Poro Point Lighthouse at San Fernando La Union

Visit Agoo Apparition Site

Dive the Fagg Reef

Do ziplining and rapelling at Pugod Poo Adventure at Pugo La union

see the Sillag Festival of LIghts at March 

Sagada

to be honest I was introduced to this place because of the filipino movie called “that thing called Tadhana (fate/destiny)”. although im not looking for my fate or destiny bahala syang maghabol sakin

 i just love the view of this place. mostly Mt. Kiltepan!. so I put it in my bucket list of places i wanna visit in philippines. so here are the things I wanna do in  Sagada

climb Mt. Kiltepan and see the sunrise or sunset at isigaw lahat ng problema + Hugot + bitterness na nasa puso kong manhid

go spelunking and caving at Lumiang and Sumaguing caves

swim at the cold Bomod-ok Falls

Run with the wild horses 

visit Kapay-aw rice terraces

Vigan

I’ve always been so curious about the old school towns like Vigan. the streets look so old school and everything with the Kalesa.. COME ON!! haha

Batan and Batanes Island

DUDE! Batan and Batanes Islands.. this is the most northern part of the Philippines and its really close to taiwan and other asian countires already. Ive always like the idea of an isolated island barely touched by western culture. this looks so relaxing. 

Things I’d like to do in Batan Islands

Visit the coastal village Diura during fishing season when they do that Kapayvanuvanua Ritual

Hike Mt Iraya in Basco, Batan Islands

go to Sabtang Island see Ivatan Culture

Go the the Honesty Coffee Shop

See Tukon CHurch, Fundacion Pacita and Valugan Boulder Beach

See the Dipnaysupuan Japanese Tunnel and Vayang Rolling Hills

Visit the Naida Hills, Basco Light House and Bunkers Cafe

Hinatuan Enchanted River at Surigao Del Sur

so this is a place in Surigao Del Sur. although i dont know much about that place.. All i Wanna do is chill at this place and take pictures. I mean look at it! so apparently its called enchanted river coz no one has ever fully mapped the place.

Hunger is the most important thing we know, it’s the first lesson we learn. But hunger can be easily quieted down, easily satiated. There is another force, a different type of hunger, an unquenchable thirst that can not be extinguished. it’s very existence is what defines us, what makes us human. That force is love

It makes our nights darker and our days gloomier.

Random “Paasa” or “false hope” by the Guy in the music store

So my friend and I were in the music store and I like this one music store coz the staff are really funny and nice!. Well a few days ago we were there again to get my friends violin peg fixed. Peg lang daw. While this was happening a couple a filipino woman and a white guy came in and this girl was clearly trying to hard with her accent. I’m like bitch just stop!! the whole store went quiet.. just for this lady. and everyone’s reaction was like this: 

So after this couple left. one of the “kuya” or gy behind the counter just leaned over towards me and with all the raspy & husky voice he can muster said “ate.... [10 years later & the flynn ryder smolder later]....pagupit” Translation: “hey... can you cut this?” and pointed at the thread on his shirt that was hanging lose..

as far i can say to the directors of this show 

you were doing so well in Season 4!! but did you really have to go down this road?!

the only reason im still sticking to the tv show is because I’m hoping for something to change but i doubt its gonna happen
