( Good news! To help me handle all my muses without wearing myself down, I’ve moved them all to a single, multimuse blog. This should hopefully help me keep from burning myself out with all the hastle of running multiple side blogs. This new one is a main account so that should also make it so you don’t have to guess when I send you asks and things. You can now find all of my muses at @the-mind-of-xelyn and this blog will be closing, or I suppose, more migrating there. I’m still working on getting all the threads transferred over on my thread tracker and I imagine if you have threads with me you will have to do the same with yours. I apologize for this. The synthetic trails off, leaving that statement vague before redirecting himself. "Someone that can be sensual, not just sexual. I would find that attractive. It... it is difficult to explain." Alma looks up again with a hesitancy in his eyes. "I apologize, I'm not even sure I understand it myself."

When Alma falls in love, he will most certainly be in denial about it. He's one of those types where love always creeps up on him and he doesn't realize it's happening until it suddenly hits as an epiphany, leaving him shocked and confused.

Once he becomes comfortable with the concept of romance, he is very much 'ride or die' though. The moment love is established, he is committed. Because of this, if a relationship does have to come to an end for some reason, that is it. He doesn't give second chances. He gave you his all, and if you weren't willing to put in the effort to make it work with him, he sees no reason to put in the time and effort to try again with you. You are either in it till the end with him or you aren't, and he has no interest in someone that isn't going to go the full distance with him. He doesn't half-ass anything, but especially not romantic relationships.

Love headcanon

Alma currently has a very scientific understanding of love, seeing it as a release of chemicals that draws people together and causes them to feel joy when around each other or thinking of one another. Despite this clinical view of love, he already craves it and finds himself feeling envious of others who get to experience being loved and loving someone else in return. There is something more to love than what he understands and he wants to know what it is like. He is unsure if he is capable of love though, and a deeper, hidden part of him is afraid that he might not ever find out.

Ridiculous headcanon

Alma is afraid of cats. His first time ever being around one led to him getting scratched and bitten by the incredibly unhappy feline, and it was his very first experience with physical pain that actually drew blood, or the equivalent of blood that he has. Despite the fact that it was an extremely minor wound and not a big deal at all, it was what woke him up to his own mortality and now he is always incredibly uneasy around them. The feeling seems to be mutual too, as every cat he has ever been around hisses and growls at him and if he is forced to stay in the same room with a cat - any cat - they will both stare each other down and keep their distance from each other. It would seem cats are natural enemies to synthetics for some unknown reason. No other animal Alma has been around has such an adverse reaction, but without fail, all cats hate him and he doesn't know why. Nor does he care to get close enough to find out.
