Here is a Reaper Bones Treasure Golem with my crap-tastic paint job. Not my best work it kept giving me problems not looking how I wanted. So I finally decided to just finish it and if there were places the brush put paint where I didn't want then oh-well.
It was also my first try on tiny lines.
Next up some random treasure piles and "WyrmGear" which are about half done. Might finish some half done villagers too.
>a bit bigger than usual (4 cm at the neck fin)! was very fun to paint
BUT some parts are waaay too thin (i broke one gill and the teeth are insane) and some didn't get printed correctly like fingers
This took forever and had me pulling out my hair! Definitely got lazy toward the end..
The grooves from this print were so thirsty omg my paints were just sucked in and it took forever to get a satisfactory saturation and still parts look just goopy 🫠
I don't hate it though and I learned so much so I'm calling it a win ✌️
Did some experimenting with new alcohol based inks on some clear minis.
They dry so fast it's awesome and kind of annoying too. Great blending though between layers. Found them at a Michaels craft store when my local comic book store stopped carrying army painter inks readily.
We're playing Call of the Netherdeep right now and I am using him for the NPC Varin Thelyss. I don't care he only has 1 cannon fight he deserves a gorgeous mini don't try me
They had a version without the helmet too but I can't find it now 😭
Super fun mini to paint and one of my first from the Etsy store McGavinMinatures! They got tons of variety and it seems to cycle or change fairly regularly.
