✨ 🎹 The Great Pianering ✨ — Entry for @rcsetorn. 🎼 If music is desired: The song. (0:03 - 3:43)

For many years, this estate was vacant. Or so, it was said to be. Only more recently was it speculated otherwise.

Reports of it “being haunted” had begun to circulate; during the evening hours, on occasion, one could hear the sound of a piano resonating from somewhere inside its abandoned halls... There was a day in which the manor bore life - aside from this alleged haunting at present, surely - but to any who may pay it visitation, all within it appeared to be blanketed by dust; lifeless, lost to time… save for a grand piano, which comprised the corner of a large living room.

In the light of the setting sun, the gentle beginnings of a melody graced it with another tune. Upon the bench placed before it, there sat its “songful specter” once more.

Hunched over the keyboard, she looked to be swept away in a world of her own. There was no sheet music to be read. Her gaze was sheathed by eyelids drawn to a close, her expression unfeigned.

This song… it was one she knew well.

Something from within unfurled with every measure. Like an effulgent flower coming into bloom; a blossoming ballad. And from its unfolding petals poured torrent after canorous torrent. In time, she was a wildfire taking to the keys. Heartfelt. Passionate.

There was then an abrupt stop, however. Final notes sustained lingered in the air, tinged by an uncertainty as to whether or not another measure waited beyond them…

“I suppose I am trespassing, aren’t I?” Her lips curved, subtly, yet archly as the near-silence was broken. “Again.”

By her nature, the wayfarer eventually came to realize someone had entered the room. She could feel their presence. Though, it was only by movement cast within the muddled reflection of an old, antique wall mirror some ways away that she was able to actually see and recognize who it was that had entered. It was the General. She caught her red-handed another day.

“Again.” The context was a little dubious, but there was no denying that… previous mishap. In contrast to it, however, she made no effort to escape. She remained seated; calm - or as calm as she could be - still reeling from the makings of music and in its midst, to some extent, caught unawares just as well. Perhaps she was more curious than anything about what may transpire this time around…

ngl, anon, i saw this ask this morning and i was like... heartstopper au?! HEARTSTOPPER AU?! but how did they know?! have the anons become mind readers or something?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

.... buuuut then i remembered that i said something about a heartstopper au in my tags at like 2:30AM last night (this morning actually but shhhh it counts as the night.) and i was just like. OHHHHH YEAH everything makes sense now 😅 good lord i am stewpid

charles is charlie (obviously lmao 🤭) but also omg it actually works so perfectly i am losing my mind. because: he's a little younger than pierre, he's got the dark curls and blue/green eyes, god KNOWS he doubts himself and says "sorry" too much. he's even very quick too!!

pierre is nick (again, OBVIOUSLY.) he's got the more classic jock build, but he's absolutely a sweetheart and a genuinely decent person under the swagger. he's even got the blond-ish hair and blue eyes ahhhhhhhhhh

(though if i ever write this fic, pierre would be a football lad and not a rugby lad. because. come on)

anyways - just IMAGINE piarles getting seated together in form. charles initially being all "ughhhh a football lad 🙄🙄" but then pierre is actually so... nice?? and really really cute?? and maybe charles starts to get butterflies, just a little bit 🥺

and then the whole ben thing too!! charles has this boy he's sort of seeing (this would have to be an original character, hello adam) but this boy is an absolute DICK and he's only using charles/calling him over to make out when it suits him. and for the rest of the time, he pretends charles doesn't exist and treats him like utter shit

and then maybe charles finally decides enough is enough and goes to tell ben/adam it's over. but then adam tries to kiss him again despite charles saying no, and then --

pierre followed the beautiful boy who sat next to him in form, his new friend. he heard charles say no. he saw adam kiss him anyway. and pierre is rightfully furious, and rips adam off charles like "he said no!"

ahhhh and then pierre and charles become closer and closer 🥺🥺 charles is a friend like pierre has never had before. spending time with him just makes pierre so HAPPY in a way he doesn't really feel with his other friends. everyone notices.

charles' friends (the twitch quartet maybe?? omg) tell him "charles don't do this don't fall in love with a straight boy oh my GOD" but charles does of course. he can't help it 🥺

except that pierre might not be so straight after all!!! he invites charles to one of the football lads' parties, and we all know what happens there... the "would you kiss someone who wasn't a girl? would you kiss me?" scene for piarles. just imagine it. IMAGINE it. oh my goddddd 😭😭🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

... so yeah, i have so many feelings about a piarles heartstopper au. i just think it would just be so PERFECT 😭💙💙 *sobs quietly and cradles idea closer to chest*

okay if anyone is looking for a new show to watch I highly highly highly recommend Black Sails it’s so phenomenal in the writing, acting, storytelling, plot lines, everything!! just so insanely good I can’t recommend it enough!!!
