Bwahaha, yes, totally! Honestly it first made me think of non-omegas making pack members tea too? Like, yeah, some people don't like tea, but even if they do, modern packs don't find it an omega-oriented role?

This is definitely makes me think of different packs’ lifestyles. Like maybe the pack are all coffee people who have strenuous jobs, so having a cup of coffee together is their morning bonding time (and their conservative parents are Livid lol). Or a really young pack (or newly presented kids navigating those feelings) having a sleepover, and they all snuck in energy drinks for each other. Or retired mates and one of them is an omega who loves tea, so the other partner serves them some every night instead of the other way around, and it's been their little inside joke for decades. Or a traditionally-raised omega parent trying to serve their kids tea when they’re sick, but the are kids refusing, and the omega is so hurt and confused because they don't like tea either but this is how their omega parent did it and they turned out just fine, right? Or an omega with dementia who keeps trying to make tea when they honestly shouldn't even be moving, because they keep thinking their "mate" (see: the poor new hire) is mad at them, and the new hire is too young to understand why, tortured knowing the only remnants of this omega's psyche are the traumas they endured...

being alone with kazuha is peaceful. there are times when you two would converse for hours, and there are times when you would just sit comfortably in silence. although to others, you two just randomly sitting together in silence is a bit weird, to the both of you, it’s something that you dearly cherish.

xiao — !

being alone with xiao is kind of awkward—only on rare occasions, though! it’s just that xiao doesn’t know what to do when he’s alone with you sometimes. is he supposed to spark up a conversation? what should he even talk about? what if he does spark up a conversation, but you find his choice of topic boring? xiao mentally debates with himself, but all of his thoughts go blank when he feels your hand on top of his.

something about sewing actually requiring long hours of sitting still. his hands are moving, though, and there is progress constantly! he's learning to calm himself and to stay put in a way, while feeling productive and useful. it's a bit of a struggle at first, but he settles into it, finding that it helps him feel calm and grounded <3

and he likes figuring things out! whether it's tailor cuts or patterns or, you know, the redstone for the stage. it puts him at ease to have a problem to solve (a harmless one!!)

Absolutely! I know it's been a HOT MINUTE 😩 but I'm chipping away at it as we speak 💗

After I finally get Part 2 up and out of my damn hands at last, I'm going to be changing how I update because I'm learning that this method of doing larger updates of 8-10 pages is not working for me lol.

I'll likely start uploading small batches of 2-4 pages as I finish them so that updates come quicker – and for my own sanity as well 😵‍💫

I'm definitely one of those artists that work better when I can sit down and crank out a finished drawing in one sitting or at most a couple of days because the longer I have to spend on it, the more it feels like it just drags on 😮‍💨 I probably should have just done this from the start but I might have overestimated my ability to adapt to doing long-form comics for the first time 🥲

🧐 IN CONCLUSION 🧐 I think the shorter 2-4 page updates will be nice to be able to post for Reprieve more often while also satisfying my brain's need to feel like I'm completing finished pieces/pages faster 🫠

I finally finished a draft of chapter 005 that’s final and im happy with 😭 im sorry there’s no MAtz yet in this chapter I had to move things around BUT you’ll be surprised (hopefully) for who the chapter is kinda centered around.

I also think I’ll be extending this series because I plan to do more world building and show you guys more of the development of the relationships between the mc and characters 💕
