The two humans always come around the left wing at the same time, no matter what they would. A special agreement granted to them in order to keep peace surrounding their research center.

Olia and Teosh know who they will meet, the one Teosh had found and raised within their walls. Olia, of course, knows it's not only for pure research on the new species he may be, but also for family reasons.

Also, for him to get the far more tastey sea bass hey have in their hands.

OPEN EVENT

Welcome to my month-long TWST Mermay event! I invite all artists to participate, you do not have to follow me or reblog this post (though it would be appreciated).

Duration: The event will run from May 1 to May 31. Please ask if you need an extension!

How to Participate:

🌊~Create an original merfolk illustration for a TWST OC or canon character (please read the rules regarding Jade, Floyd, and Azul). You may also draw my Yuu's merform if you'd like!

🌊~Use the hashtag #twistedtech_mermay23

🌊~Tag me (@twisted-tech) in your post so I don’t miss your amazing designs!

🌊~Include the background and/or the event logo in your drawing.

Prizes: Two winners will be randomly selected and receive art of their design from me! Both will get one fullbody-flat drawing. The winners will be announced on June 1st.

Rules:

1. Your drawing must be your own original work.

2. Your drawing must include a merperson.

3. Your drawing must be appropriate for all ages.

4. You can submit as many entries as you like, but each entry must be different. A single post counts as one entry regardless of the number of characters it includes, so create separate posts if you want to do multiple entries.

5. Because Octavinelle already have canon merfolk designs, if you draw them you must create your own, original designs to be eligible for this event. The official designs are great, but I want to promote creativity and originality with this challenge. If only one or two things are different, they still won't be eligible, so don't be afraid to think outside the box, maybe even reimagine them as different species!

6. Your drawing must be related to Twisted Wonderland.

== Love Notes ==

Wow! Today was a busy day in the fandom! I feel like Mondays always are, but today feels particularly busy! There's so much going on, and everyone seems to be having such a great time with the new press release photos that were found yesterday!

It's so lovely to see this kind of energy and love being injected back into the fandom. I was mentioning this to a friend recently... that it feels almost like OFMD itself is a giant puzzle that we all have access to, and every time we think we're nearing completion of it, some cool new footage, bts, stills, information, interviews, anything-- shows up and suddenly we have all these new pieces to fit into place.

The puzzle is never really finished, but it gets bigger and more intricate with every discovery, and I absolutely love spinning the pieces around and seeing where they fit with all of you.

Whether you are brand new to the fandom, somewhat seasoned, or an ofmd fandom elder, I hope you know that you bring so much joy to this place! I know sometimes we have our spats between fans, but what family doesn't have those? We have so many talented, brilliant members on this crew, and I love coming back online every day and getting to fit another piece into the puzzle with you.

I hope you all are having fun crew, because that's what fandoms are all about. Remember to take a break if you need to, and scream loudly all your love if you feel up for it. We love hearing it <3 Happy Murray Monday lovelies!

Agatha recognized the effort in gendering, but chose to focus on the mask issue first. This one was obviously worried.

“What does your mask look like, and which rocks did you drop it at? I can take a look for you.”

Agatha gave a small smile. While she didn’t vocalize this, she wondered what Pokémon Ivy was- perhaps she’d run into other individuals at some point, but she didn’t know every species that existed.

After the exchange of information, the cecaelia disappeared into the black waters for some time.

Despite the lack of light, Agatha had little trouble navigating the darkness itself. Once she reached the sandy floors by the rocks, she found the mask, thankfully only carried a little ways from its original location.

After her ascent to the surface, her head popped back up from the waters. She lifted the mask in a tentacle, which dripped with salt water.

ABYSSAL_ZONE is returning for MerMay 2024, with more fun prompts lined up offering a darker and slightly more hungry take on your usual mermaid fluff. Throughout May, we'll be running two events:

Weekly Prompt Releases Four(-ish) weeks of mermay, four weeks of new prompts. These will be in the same format as last year, consisting of eight new one-word prompts every eight days, plus a line of poetry for those who prefer a more wordy prompt. Use all of them, use none of them, write a different fic each week or work them all into one grand magnum opus - so long as you're having fun, it all goes. Add the fics to the ABYSSAL_ZONE Ao3 Collection or @ this blog to see them added to the ranks. Also, it doesn't have to be fic, you can make art, write poetry, even crochet something ocean-themed and send us a pic and we'll happily count that on our wall of honor.

MerMay Readers Bingo In the style of @feedthefandomfest's comment bingos, we've set up a fic reading bingo. Read mermaid (or siren, or selkie, or sea monster or... well okay you get the idea) fics and cross tropes off the the bingo (and maybe, if you're feeling kind leave a comment on the fic as well to show the author some love). Connect five crosses in any direction, and win.

The bingo card and first set of prompts will be posted on May 1st. As always, there are no time limits. Do as little or as much as you want, just have fun with it. Hope to see you there! 🦑🦑

that's right, everyone! your very own floyd leech will be hosting an event from june 1st to june 8th!!

the event will make use of a debtors marine life knowledge (totally not because they decided to sign a contract for a date with azul nuhuh) and assign you or your ocs a new personalized marine life nickname (that isn't shrimpy!!)

all you have to do is move those little shrimpy legs over to @azulashengrottospiano's ask box and provide a short description of your personality, hobbies, or anything else you'd like to include (for ocs, a reference sheet and a short description will do!!)

Was "freak shit march" a thing you created??? cus this is my first time hearing of this😳

i hate to say it's a thing i ""created"" bc that makes it sound,,, much more official than it is, but kinda yeah T-T i wanted to do a monthly event kinda thing and was already looking for an excuse to write stuff not necessarily darker, but a little weirder than what we usually get into around here. sometimes you just need to explain very politely, in ten words or less, that you have to write some nanami footstuff while also promising your followers that it'll only happen, at most, annually. just to get it out of your system.

Alice aka Experiment #630 is a psychic and a shapeshifter. Over time she learns to control and manipulate her original form to a mermaid form. Alice has thasslophobia, like Stitch/Experiment 626. Fear of deep water/fear of drowning. She isn't fully cured, but as long she stays as a mermaid and can breathe underwater, she is okay.
