I’m over thinking it. I absolutely am. But what if.

Grian, Scott, and Pearl. The three people with the most amount of time. The same amount of hours.

The three who’ve won before. Who’ve died alone in a once chaotic world. A world that had descended into silence, at least if the the blood rushing in their ears wasn’t a factor in that.

Maybe it’s symbolic. Maybe it’s not. How the sun, stars and moon are perfectly aligned with each other for a even a brief moment in time.

Time that is flowing past them like the winds that carry the desert sand. Time that is flowing past them like a tranquil breeze. Time that is flowing past them like a shivering touch of snow.

They won’t win. I don’t think they want to win again. They’d sacrifice the ‘glory’ of another win for a teammate, an ally. But to whom?

Both Bad Boys’ timer ran out. Martyn only has an hour less than his ally. BigB is a session away from running out.

The ticking time is against their allies’ favor. Time is against everyone else’s favor but theirs.

A conflict of the setting sun. A conflict of the moving stars. A conflict of the rising moon.

Would they sacrifice their remaining time for an ally to gain half of what they lose? Would they kill themselves so that they have the same amount as their ally?

How will the final grain of sand wheat fall? How will the final flower wilt coral turn gray? How will the dog let out its final bark frog let out its final croak?

Maybe the omnipresent observers of the world are eagerly awaiting the chaos of the next session that may be the last.

In the beginning, what made you want to do a Nightmare Before Christmas AU?

Well, it was two factors, I think.

(1) A silly little art idea that I started overthinking the lore for. [See: the very first post I made about this AU in particular.]

(2) The fact that I already associated Nightmare Before Christmas’ Sally’s Song with the normal Scraptrap for a while. And that was also the result of a jokey bit, then looking deeper into the character lines, and suddenly realizing “oh snap Scraptrap in particular sounds a bit more like Sally than Jack, mood wise”. And likewise for Scrap Baby as Jack.

I did entertain the idea of something akin to an AU mixing these two before, but I think those AU doodles finally made everything click. And I’m very happy with the outcome.

in this au, they all met due to working within the castle grounds.

in this au, celestia is queen, luna is still banished, and twilight is discouraged from making friends as it distracts her from her studies. she is celestia's heir and grew up in the castle.

In my recent game I came across some dialogue from Gale I've not seen before, despite this being my 500000000th romance with this man. So we meet Lorroakan for the first time and convince him that Aylin is dead. Speaking to Gale, I think, ok, he's going to be like "hey what a shit wizard" or "what an arrogant little twat" because we've already seen his rubbish projections and it's Lorroakan, come on. Then Gale says this:

Yes, he falls short of - wait. What? Gale is roasting Lorroakan not for his magical skills. He is incensed by his inability to use multiple sources to verify information.

This absolute nerd is more pissed about having too few citations than the fact that Lorroakan is an amoral little jerk that wants to torturously leech off of an aasimar's soul for his own immortality.

FINALLY FINISHED THIS!! my own interpretation and additions to Sebastian's room in sdv ! Tried to keep anything in the image from the year 2010 or predated. i think theres a few give and takes but i really like the "older brother" early 2000s grunge aesthetic on another level and i thought who better fits it than him. I put a lot of references to stuff i personally like as well ^_^
