There are some couples in the Marvel Universe who demand attention - big, dramatic, headline-worthy pairings that crash onto the page with the force of a summer blockbuster. Their love stories dominate splash panels and front covers, all fire and fireworks. Think Gambit and Rogue. Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) and Mary Jane Watson. Daredevil and Elektra.

And then… there’s Wolverine and Storm.

Logan and Ororo never needed the spotlight. Their connection has always lived in the quiet moments - the stolen glances, the brushed fingertips, the steady presence of two warriors who understood each other in a way no one else could. For those of us who’ve shipped them for years, we weren’t just imagining it. We were reading between the lines. Seeing the unsaid. Feeling the slow, smoldering tension that always crackled beneath the surface.

Their love story was never loud. It was something more enduring. Like a candle flickering in a lighthouse during a hurricane - quiet, resilient, and often overlooked. My headcanon is that Ororo didn’t take Logan’s last name in this universe so Kendall’s last is Munroe-Howlett

Props to the person who sent this to me on Twitter, because I relish the opportunity to debunk RoLo myths. How ironic that, in shitting all over T'Challa and Ororo's relationship - despite never reading any of the source material regarding said relationship - @clawsandthunder has actually made an argument for the T'Choro fandom? Disregarding the fact that, as Charles Xavier told Storm, she was a mutant and not a goddess, any real fan of Storm would know that Storm is a LITERAL goddess in Wakanda - the Hadari Yao. And T'Challa is the reason for that.

(Black Panther #172, 2018. The entire arc is BP #13-19, then 166-172, although Storm doesn't show up until 170 in the second half.)

Additionally, Hadari Yao are the words Storm's father spoke to her in Storm #4. Those are the very words that pushed Storm to choose life and resurrection over death. You see that in all of the panels before, Storm is a crying child who wants to go to the afterlife with her father. But when her father reminds her of who she is - "our Hadari Yao" - she is a woman again, a warrior ready to fight and live. (We also see how eager little Storm is to tell her mother about being Wakanda's queen, but that's not for this post.)

And who convinced Storm to claim her godhead? You guessed it...T'Challa, the man who KNEW Storm was a god before Storm even knew it herself. T'Challa elevates Ororo in a way none of her lovers ever have (or can) because he's the only one who sees what she really can be. He sees in her what she cannot even see in herself. When Ororo becomes Eternal Storm (in Storm #5), T'Challa will be the only man on the planet who won't be remotely surprised. He's already seen this before.

CaT is right - a goddess does trump a queen. T'Challa is the man who persuaded Storm to elevate to an actual goddess, rather than a perceived one. So let's put this "Storm was powered down to make T'Challa look good" myth to bed, shall we? The only thing diminished is the credibility of anyone who continues to unleash this lie.

Annnnnnyway, stan T'Choro for true love and cheap gas. 🥰

A Goddess trumps a Queen any day of the Week!

Ororo doesn't need the Black Panther to be amazing. She was a goddess! Hyping her as a former queen isn't impressive. I really hope Marvel doesn't repeat the mistakes of the past and put Ororo back with T'Challa. Instead, Ororo should be with Logan. With Logan, Ororo isn't diminished just to make him look powerful. Her past isn't rewritten with Logan like it is with T'Challa.
