I’m just going to post this here since we’re kinda desperate for advice rn and don’t know where else to ask. (I posted the following in a discord server earlier so it might be worded a bit strangely)

Hi, so we want to try to make our communication between system members better (specifically between fronting and not fronting headmates) but we don’t really know how. Obviously we practise talking to each other by, well, talking to eachother. But that doesn’t seem to help to get better.

So does anyone know how to do this? Or are there specific ways of talking to each other that could help? Just any advice is appreciated.

Here’s how our communication is atm:

We can communicate but we only hear the person we’re talking to really quietly, and it’s often hard to understand them. When talking to several people at a time (which is hard), we can barely differentiate between voices (if at all). Headmates who are not fronting also have a hard time forming long sentences and it feels like there’s a barrier between the fronter and the headmate the fronter is talking to that gets stronger when we’re not talking right at the moment. So it’s easiest for the not-fronting headmate to reply right after the fronter said something, but if the not fronting headmate waits they can’t reply because the barrier is too strong. At least that’s what it feels like. It also takes a lot of energy, especially when talking to several different headmates in a relatively short time.

If that’s relevant, we’re cephaconscious, and we have headspace amnesia (meaning for us, that we can’t remember headspace at all when we’re fronting)

So yeah, any advice on how to get clearer communication is appreciated

Dream who is completely unable to handle praise or compliments of any kind and also has a huge praise kink. So Hob takes advantage of this by setting up a system where if he catches Dream saying something bad about himself or being mean to himself, as both a punishment and as a way to encourage Dream to think better about himself and to hopefully boost his confidence, Hob has Dream kneel in front of him with Hob's cock in his mouth while Hob plays with his hair and tells him how much he's loved. Hob will spend hours telling Dream how amazing he is, how kind, smart, and beautiful he is, and how much Hob loves him. And that he deserves all the love in the world.

Dream being punished by being praised is just so 😭😭😭 holy shit. Poor baby. You're so right about him having to safeword out of it, I definitely feel like he simply wouldn't be able to cope. I have imagine him just sobbing and shaking while Hob holds him, petting him gently and rocking him until he recovers enough to be picked up and taken to bed.

But progress is made. Dream doesn't flinch when Hob calls him "Good boy". He can cope with a few simple compliments - he's taking a more neutral stance so it doesn't feel like a punishment anymore. He feels like maybe he deserves to hear nice soothing words. He can even start to feel properly horny about it! Even though he's still a little shy that he gets hard when Hob calls him pretty and sweet... and his shyness just makes Hob compliment him even more...

🪐 - headspace for us is this… extremely vast and complex thing with many different layers and such! We’re actually multiple systems sharing one body too, so each layer is different depending on which system lives there.

Our current, “main fronting” group’s layer of the headspace is pretty much an old mining town and a forest! Which I imagine is probably caused by our current hyperfixation/spinterest lmao

It’s so complicated to explain to outsiders but hopefully that was clear enough!

Our inner world is more like an inner universe! While it originally started out as a singular location, I (the host) have discovered additional, separate innerworlds existing quietly alongside it. I'm only just beginning to venture out and explore them, which is slow progress because very few people are capable of traversing The Void™, but there are definitely more of these self contained world 'bubbles' I've yet to find.

Some fun facts!;

🪐 These worlds wildly vary in size, from an entire populated planet (Mobius) to a singular building a particular headmate resides in ("Circus Baby's Realm").

🚫 The Void is often referred to as "out-of-bounds" by those living in the central innerworld, which is governed by rules of reality more similar to a video game than real life.

💫 Aside from myself and literal god, Caine is the only individual known to freely travel The Void (the one who lives in the digital circus sideworld: there is another residing in the central world who cannot). I have no idea how he does that.

🧳 Migration to other worlds is possible when specialized equipment, such as ships capable of navigating the harsh vacuum of space, is used, when a particular world 'drifts' close enough to another, or when directly facilitated by me. This kind of crossover really only happens when fictives move into the central world from their own (which is more often than you'd think).

🚪 It turns out the labyrinth of seemingly infinite spaces Liminal-chan lives in isn't its own separate location, but a parallel reality not far removed from the central innerworld.
