reasons why you should watch vincenzo (and write muses for it):
MAFIA !!!! secret agents !!! assassins!!! corrupt politicians!!!! hACKERS!
FOUND . FAMILY . foundfamilyfoundfamilyfoundfamilyfoundfamily!!!!!!! the geumga plaza is a cute lil building full of various businesses, and those tenants come together to fight the Big Bad
there’s a treasure hunt <3
u get to see sexy lawyers battling it out over like . Law idk i find that stuff sexy so u might find it hot too
it has a little bit of everything in terms of genre, which varies by episode and theme of the ongoing arc.
in the same vein of exploring different genres, it seamlessly incorporates humor and drama - so well that it doesn’t feel cringe or out of place for either to happen. it’s a Serious Show with some light - hearted clown moments that feel like a comedy
the pLOT TWISTS !!!!! they’re like jump scares and they keep you on your toes
the characters are far from one dimensional or rigid copies of whatever archetype you can think of. you think this person is just a (blank)? well they’re aLSO (blank), and so much more. the characters are so well written, they have the ability to incite such strong emotions and reactions from the viewer that it doesn’t matter whether you hate or love them, you feel something. even for the minor characters or the cameos or the so - called “throwaway” extras.
the show explores many different cases of morality, and in this case: moral ambiguity / grayness. it also explores many important issues that are presented through subtle metaphors and allegories, or just through blatantly spitting straight Facts to get their message across.
a different take on what it means to be a “villain” - how it’s not inherently a bad thing, how sometimes that’s the path people need to take to develop and come out stronger. redefines what it means to be a villain, redefines what we know as a redemption arc and how it can be shown in many different ways.
really fucking good Big Bad People. u think you’ve seen your share of evil people? this show has some of the most despicable characters i’ve ever been introduced to, and it not necessarily in the ways you’d expect.
complex family dynamics!!!!! across multiple charas!!!! interesting dynamics overall!!!!
love <3 this show demonstrates love in so many different ways. it doesn’t rely on “i love you” or romantic physical affection to show it.
there are so many organizations and groups within the show that are great for creating verses
it’s fun. and good. u literally cannot be bored watching this show
amazing soundtrack
really good effects and fight scenes
plus literally so much more this list already long lmao

thinking about how vincenzo and cha young start out as explicitly different people that slowly progress to intersect with similarities that lurked beneath,   as well as shifting enough to take on aspects of each other.    thinking about how they’re both lonely and experience loneliness in such different ways that bonds them together.    thinking about how they make each other feel more alive,  how vincenzo inadvertently encourages and motivates cha young towards her passions and embracing parts of herself that had been stifled by her world.    and thinking about how yeo-bin literally said that cha young’s color started to change into something more akin to vincenzo’s,   his color had been spilling into hers in which they become the same tone,   in which they meet in this instance,   where it is them against the world.

thinking a lot about how it took jipuragi firm literally keeping him from leaving the office until he agreed to pretend to be a love interest for a nasty horse boy and even throughout it, he could not stop nearly gagging and making faces and so true <3

i feel like something that gets overlooked is that vincenzo worked and trained his ass off to get to where he currently is, in terms of combat. i love that small moment where he mentions his trainer and the absolute hell he went through growing up in a predominantly white region full of racists who picked on the asian kid, and how he used that as fuel to grow stronger and more skilled with fighting. i love that it wasn’t just, oh yeah he suddenly just became this invincible fighter who could get out of any sticky situation bc #MainCharacterRights but because his world and himself gave him no choice but to be as invincible as possible.

one thing i deeply appreciated about vincenzo is that he didnt fall into the trope of being this impenetrable, calloused person who was always stand - offish.    he reacts humanly,   he’s funny,   he’s a meme,   he’s a crackhead sometimes.    it’s refreshing tbh
