Writing about what Cosi's story would be like because I like talking about them yay :3 WARNING THIS POST IS ACTUALLY SO FUCKING LONG IM NOT EVEN JOKING. my sibling saw me writing this and made fun of my essays. Sorry. I love Writing.

i thinkk Cosi's storyline is.. long. Considering how shes such A Character but also you can get her with someone else. It's A Lot. There are no prerequisites, but you can get fun extra dialogue if you know Betty, Kopi, Nightmare, or Chance.

There are a few places you can encounter them, those being the kitchen cupboards (melatonin), the bathroom (bubble bath solution), your bedroom (sleep mask, potted lavender (after getting an ending w/ prissy)). They also have encounters like Nightmare does where you have a 5% chance of seeing them whenever you sleep (counting sheep), but they don't further their story because there's no way to have a 100% chance of seeing them. You just get to see them work with your dreams :)

* note !! you can only talk to Cosi using your first charge on the glasses! If you come at any other time, they'll just fully be in work mode.

* note 2 !! if you talk to them at any time after having a nightmare they'll get all excited because they think Nightmare is really cool. and then apologize because Oh God accidentally insensitive

* note 3 !! yeah they probably have a content warning beforehand. Cosi is a bundle of Nerves and Undiagnosed Mental illness . And Isolation. And putting themselves in dangerous situations on purpose. Yeah.

Introduction - their route has a simple-ish start? You have to talk to them using your last charge for this one, and it's basically just Cosi introducing themselves and helping you get to bed yaaay :3 if you wanna see them again, you'll have to see them tomorrow morning!

1st Day (somnium clinic) - for every time you interact with Cosi, you can offer to let her eat your dream! It's something that you can only do if you have enough empathy specs points, but it's usually just some fun extra text where you have a conversation about what you dreamt about and her comparing the taste of the dream to a sweet or a pastry of some sort, but keep offering if you want. You'll get fun dialogue. Also she always reacts to your offer with Guilt Of Some Kind. Don't do nice things for this guy she'll feel bad (DO NICE THINGS FOR HER PLEASE)

NOT THE POINT ANYWAYS. in this interaction you learn about her work before bedtime, and help out at the clinic (2 clients?)!! She'll tell you about the sleep aids she has on hand (Melatonin, tea, or a secret third thing I haven't come up with yet), and then quiz you on which would be best for the client. Points if you get it right. Also Cosi offhandedly mentions nightmares that aren't created by Nightmare (stress dreams. They're talking about stress dreams that aren't scary but disturbing. Not fear based, but shame based) and how they keeps them at bay. Their thangs. Also you learn here that Cosi is prone to spacing out too. She's sillay.

2nd Day (memoriam) - this interaction is kinda here to set up a pattern. Different clients, different sleep aids, Cosi in the background to catch any of your mistakes. Very Fun! You get to see like a ton of dateables outside of their normal routes, it's just a cute little moment. You probably learn some more about Cosi in this interaction too, mostly how they're a baku with human form (they prefer to present like that because they want to know people. most baku are focused on just the dream eating, but Cosi wants to be able to help with the whole process. And they were deeply lonely beforehand. They want to experience the world and any experience possible. They want to know and learn and they're so excited about it. They probably thank you for bringing them here of all places, because of how many lovely people they've met). Mostly just character building yeah. And more elaboration on why they look like a sheep and not a tapir (they wanted to be cute. they can change little bits of their human form, so why shouldn't they be cute?). It's just fun and playing.

3rd Day (light conflict) - I like to think that there have been hints to Cosi being a writer (and a total nerd) before this, but this is when bigger hints start getting dropped. Cosi is fairly quiet today, and when you ask why, they tell you about an argument they had with Lux. It's pretty stock standard for a Cosi and Lux conflict, Lux is being selfish to the point of ruining Cosi's work / work schedule, and Cosi is being reactionary. It's the first time you see Cosi really react to something negatively. If you choose the meaner dialogue option before this, they full on just Won't Get Mad and treat it like a joke that didn't land.

The core of this interaction is similar to the last few, handing out the best sleep aid to the client, but Cosi is just not in the moment. They're not making mistakes, but it just seems like they're on autopilot. I like to imagine that somewhere near the tail end of the interaction, they say something referring to their writing and an arc that they're using as an outlet for their feelings. It's vague and offhanded, and they freak out a little too much if you ask about it (and the game forces you to ask about it. A Lot.). Weird !

4th Day (spiral) - Cosi is... Unwell. Not just because of the argument with Lux, but because she really, really shouldn't have told you about it. There was no reason to break the illusion, as she puts it. It's Just generally a really rough time. It starts relatively normally, but she's a lot more reactive when you ask her if she's feeling ok and she's trying so hard to keep it together but she's like actively having an anxiety attack so they kind of snap at you and push you away. This interaction is way shorter than the others because she gets really incredibly upset and forces you out before she lashes out. If you were being mean to her, this is where you'd get the hate ending, and if you talk to her again you'll get a looping interaction where she tells you to leave her alone and let her work.

Also if you ask her to have your dream before though, she'll lash out a bit and ask Why you keep doing that. What do you want from her / What has she done to merit this. You probably have a few options where you get to try and comfort her if you've done this every single time you've gotten the opportunity. the effect doesn't show until the next interaction but have fun with your fun dialogue

5th Day (subconscious shame) - wow they are Sure Not Here Right Now. Like just Actually Not Here. But do you know who IS? Holly, Betty, and Mateo !!! Cosi has not missed a day of work since in like years and wow that's kinda worrying. You learn some stuff about Cosi from every person

(betty) Cosi can be incredibly volatile when upset, but it happens so very infrequently and randomly that nobody but Betty is really aware of how bad it gets.

(mateo) Nobody but Holly and Betty really knows Cosi. Mateo thinks they're as polite but distant, and is worried that this still manages to be true after they've worked together for so long

(holly) Cosi is a huge excitable dork (implied in interactions 1-3) and their last straw was probably that you kept pressing them about their writing. Holly says that they probably see it as a Personal Failing that they told you in the first place

From these facts, you put together that they try very hard to put on a soft and nurturing front and are the world's most Insecure Person Ever. The illusion is broken, the potential friendship is over. But it's not actually. Betty knows where they are because this has happened at least once before. Talk to Nightmare if you wanna know more, but this is something you kinda have to do yourself.

5th Day (Cont.) - Girl is fighting for their LIFE‼️ but not for the reason you'd expect actually. Cosi has a very positive relationship with Nightmare, who's currently watching them just kinda. Lay there. Like eyes open just kinda laying in The Dark trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with them and how to actually be the thing they've been trying so hard to act like. And then they realize that you're there and get Kinda Really Distressed because good lord you keep seeing them at their lowest. can you like Get Out Of Here and pretend that you never met because you shouldn't be subject to how terrible they are. You don't deserve this.

ALSO if you've been doing the (SPECS points requiring) dream eating moments, they go into depth with their writer's imposter syndrome. It's not so much about how they think they can't write well, but about why they'd write in the first place. They're a consumer, literally eating the things that others create, so what right do they have to not only create their own things but do anything but what they're literally here to do. What makes them so worthy of an existence as a person.

Anyways if you can handle that whole thing it's kinda just you talking to them like a Person to bring them back, and acknowledging that it's ok to not just be yourself, but to feel bad. She deserves this way of life. Yay 🩷 anyways yeah she gets Out Of The Dark and needs time to decompress you know how it is

6th day (day off) - Cosi takes a day off where she's NOT spiralling finally !!! this interaction is just a little interaction where she invites you over to her Nook (probably like. A Drawer irl) and she finally shows you her writing. It's just really cute to me honestly because she's not masking for once and she gets an extra outfit too !!!!! She's got this cute button-up pajama set and it just makes me Emotional A Little. She's Herself. Finally finally finally she's herself, and that masking is a part of it.

ANYWAYS after she presents you with her notebook, you can get either the friend route or the love route! Or the hate route too I guess whatever.

You're also told that their writing reminds you of a certain someoneee <3 this is a hint for further interactions yay <3

COLLECTABLES - Cosi's collectables are the sleep aids (days 1-3), their silly little sheep/baku form (day 2), and their notebook (day 6)!! You can get them all in one run, no need to get specific collectables from specific interactions.

IT'S TIME... FOR KITTYCHANCE TO BECOME REAL!!!!! for context on their relationship!! Chance is almost certainly someone Cosi has to check on every so often because he has Something going on with his sleep schedule if his dark circles are anything to go off of. Cosi is so incredibly familiar with him (she's probably been in his head once or twice #dreamwalker) but Chance only really knows the persona? They're friends and tbh Chance can probably tell that Cosi is a closet nerd but he just hasn't said anything.

To get these interactions you need love or friendship for both Chance and Cosi!!!

1st interaction (Cosi) - this whole thing gets kicked off by a pretty simple interaction with Cosi!!!! Before the interaction from their route of choice starts looping, you get the opportunity to tell them that their writing reminds you a lot of Chance. They're both very fantasy based and such dorks, it's kinda weird how you haven't connected the dots yet. Anyways this whole thing very much Does reveal that Cosi has a huge crush on Chance and it's big and embarrassing and God they like him so bad. It's kinda sad. Failgirl

Anyways you can offer to set them up. You should do that. Please.

2nd interaction (Chance) - I haven't quiteee figured out how I want this to play out, I've been toying with the idea of Chance having writer's block but I'm worried it undermines his character... But for one reason or another, you suggest Cosi as a co-writer !!! She tags along for this of course, presenting him with her horrifically annotated notebook of a world she's building right now. I imagine he's more than a little surprised, what do you mean his friend (slash guy who's really concerned about him staying up so late) is also a writer?? And never told him???

Anyways I think he's really really intrigued by her stuff and just so excited and if a creative block was ever present they manage to work past it :] unlike the first g&g session, you gotta give them like at least 3 days to write everything out. Cosi already has so many characters and historical events set up that choosing the setting is going to take them time, not to mention actually building the session! (also maybe he wants to get to know her, the right way this time. Can you blame him?)

... Something gay happened in that writer's room. by the way.

3rd interaction (Chance) - G&G SESSION BABYYYY!!!! Cosi is playing alongside you, Chance is the Chronicler, you know the drill!!! I actually haven't built everything out for the story of the session myself, but Cosi is playing as a Princess and you're playing as her lady in waiting (and her assassin but that's neither here nor there). There are a few ways this could go honestly? You could play a PC who genuinely likes Cosi's and doesn't want to put their inevitable fate into motion (after a suitable amount of character development, of course), oooor you could play a Forever Dedicated To The Cause PC. It doesn't affect the outcome of the session at all it's just different pathways. Also the BBEG is you 🫵 after being permanently destroyed by some kind of fucked up time loop (i have to explain 30billion of my own oc lore for this to make sense. so I'm not going to.)

ANYWAYS regardless of how you choose to play, Cosi loves every second of it. It gives them such an interesting perspective of these characters and the world that surrounds them and god Chance did such a good job at building past what they built and he's such an incredible amazing chronicler and they couldn't have spent their time better, you know? They'd give anything to get to listen to his narration and the ways he takes these stories forever. And GOD that was the most fun they've had in ages.

Basically Cosi beats Chance at his own game and starts gushing before he can even open his mouth. They probably have to leave suddenly because they've neglected their duties a little. And Chance is absolutely floored destroyed etc etc. Not only do they match his energy but they're also so incredibly enthusiastic about everything going on and treats his stories with so much respect— he's sure he's found the person he wants to tell them with.

4th interaction (Cosi) - I'm going to be so real i only have vague ideas on how this arc wraps up. BUT I'll make sense of it to the best of my ability !! The next time you interact with Cosi, you're in Her Nook, and guess who else is there...... Yeah it's Chance. Honestly you get the feeling that you've interrupted something but that's fine. Yay 🩷 i imagine that this last interaction sets a few things in stone, for example:

the whole dynamic they've got going on outside of being nerds. Chance is very forward and not at all shy when explaining his feelings. Cosi Is. Outside of that, i think their relationship is very reminiscent of the actual relationship between both dreams & ttrpgs and sleep & creativity

Basically, Chance very directly states that Cosi is an inspiration to him, and they collaborate on a lot of pieces. Cosi very frequently finds herself coaxing Chance into a normal sleeping schedule, though he's probably buzzing with ideas at all times, stuff like that.

THE FANTASY NICKNAMES im sorry the fantasy nicknames are integral to kittychance forever. That's her paramour... That's his fairest maiden..... Augh they make me sick

^ outside of the fantasy stuff Cosi is a sweetness user and Chance is fond of using beloved. I can't explain it.

Ok yeah I can't think of anything else to add... They're just really cute and sweet and I like them. Umm there is probably an option for a poly thing if you're into that and have romanced both of them but that's neither here nor there.

realization - OK LAST THING I WANNA TALK ABOUT!!!!! They're pretty much together all the time after getting them together. Yay. I think their realization would be very similar to their normal and separate realizations, honestly. Chance sees people with no access to imaginative coping skills, Cosi sees people with far too much tension on their shoulders... Their jobs are really no-brainers. The Tabletop Therapy Clinic and the Tea Room next door.... They've got their own things going on, but they're always intrinsically connected.

Yes, we do! We sleep in the sweetheart cradle, the nuzzle, Intertwined, & sleep spoon. We both steals the blankets since we both don't like the cold. Sometimes Rumi would do a little kick in her sleep. She does snore, but not loudly. As for me, I don't snore & I move around a lot.

Yes, I’m the ticklish. I’m ticklish at my sides & my feet.

My favorite places to kiss Rumi would be her forehead, lips, cheeks, neck hands, & shoulders, Rumi’s favorite places to kiss me are my lips, forehead, neck, nose, hands, cheeks, & shoulders.

We do the spoon position when cuddling.

I comfort Rumi by holding her in my arms, talking to her in a soft voice or I cook her one of her comfort foods. Rumi comforts me by holding me in her arms, cooks me one of my comfort foods or she'll ask me if I want to go for a walk.

Hiking, cooking/baking, go to the beach, going to the zoo/aquarium, getting ice cream, play card/board games, play video games, exercise, & shopping at the mall.

Our first date was going for a stroll. It was a very lovely, the weather was perfect. We talked a lot while we walked & we ate at a restaurant for lunch.

Rumi and I met when she saved me from the villain. After she beat the villain, she went up to me, asking me if I was okay. I almost couldn’t speak ‘cause of how strong & badass she is. I love her muscular arms, it’s so attractive to me. When she flex her arms, I find it so hot. Ever since she saved me from the villain, I started to have a huge crush on her. When I got home, I lay on my bed, looking at the ceiling & thinking about her nonstop. I was so attracted to her! About a week after she saved me, I saw her again walking in the street. I walked up to her & thank her for saving me. Rumi said it’s no problem, I’m just hopping around & kicking the bad guys’ butts! I smiled at her, admiring her of how strong she is. I blushed when she said that. Rumi noticed I was blushing and asked me what I was blushing about. I told her ever since she saved me, I started to have feelings for her. It caught her off guard when I said that, Rumi said in a calm voice saying how very sweet of me, she called me little bunny and said I was cute when my face is red. I asked her if she want to have a coffee date with me and she said yes. After asking her out, she & I gave each other our phone numbers and started to call & text each other. Rumi & I had meet at a coffee café in person. We were talking, just to get to know each other. We spend about an hour there. After the coffee date, she and I walked somewhere private, it’s just me & her. I confessed to her first since I really had feelings for her & Rumi confessed to me back. After we confessed to each other, Rumi and I looked into each others’ eyes, having arms around each other, we both lean in and had our first kissed. The kissed was sweet & soft!

Xander and I have a very cozy home life. We split chores evenly and help each other. And we love to spend time together -- whether we're actively doing something together, or just hanging out in the same room. I tend to socialize like a cat and Xander enjoys just being near me.

One of our favorite things to do together is listen to the gramophone and cuddle at night to wind down ❤️💤

In the modern AU, I think Xander is def the type who loves calling me. I'm not a phone call person at ALL, but I'll pick up if it's him. If he's not calling, he sends voice messages and asks for them back. It drove me a little nuts at first bc I was like, "Why can't you just text me and I could reply back with text?" but then I realized he just enjoys hearing my voice. 🥹💗
