Selfshiptember Day 2: Cuddles

“Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean what if the kids call for an emergency or something happens?” Jonathan just gripped my hand more as if I was going to slip away at any minute. Followed by him playfully swinging our hands up and down.

“Yeahhhhhhh. I mean. Will’s there… if anything happened he would’ve called by now..” Jonathan said almost slurring his words, I knew letting him have a smoke for a bit wasn’t a good idea but seeing him act so different from his usual self entertained me a bit.

“To be fair we’re outside so if he called we wouldn’t hear it.” A moment of silence hit him as he raised his eyebrows.

“Huh. I guess you’re right.” We looked up at the night sky before he suddenly let go of my hand and dropped to the floor; beginning to lay down on the fresh grass. “Besidesss… Argyle is chilling inside. If anything happened he’d tell me..”

“What are you doing?” I asked with a small smile growing on my face and put my hands on my sides.

“Rememberwhen.. we’d drive and I’d stop somewhere nice and.. we’d sit on my car and watch the stars..backin Hawkins..” Being emotional and clingy was one of his ‘side effects’ when high I noticed. My smile grew as I laid down next to him feeling the cool grass on my legs and arms. “I missit… I missyouuuu..” Clinginess set in as he wrapped his arms around me and held me close. I giggled and let myself be embraced by him, wanting it to be like this forever and not wanting this spring break to end.

“I missed you too, Jonny…” I told him back and started running my hands through his hair. “Never cut this.”

“Wasn’t planning on it, meems…” The new nickname made me giggle which just made him hold onto me together. The sudden closeness made me feel confident as I started peppering kisses from his cheek to his neck which let out a couple entranced giggles from him. It could’ve been like this forever if Argyle didn’t bust out the front door and rush over to us. Quickly letting go of one another (although Argyle wouldn’t of minded the pda), Jonathan’s chill demeanor shifted to a slightly concerned look.

“Not to stop the love train, brochacho, but something went down at the Rink-O-Mania. I think it had to do with your sister, dude?” Argyle explained as Jonathan got up and proceeded to help me up off the grass.

“Man…is it okay if you give us a ride?” Jonathan asked as Argyle have his usual smile and a thumbs up before starting up the Surfer Bros pizza van. I giggled finding it charming even though he drives Jonathan wants to be in Argyle’s good company. “I’m sorry...”

“What for? It could be an emergency.” I brushed off his apology. “Besides we have all spring break to watch the stars together…and just be together in general..”

A slight frown appeared on his face as I didn’t think about the fact spring break doesn’t last forever and soon enough me and Mike would be on the next plane back to Hawkins. Miles and miles away. “Hey..it’s okay, Jon…we still have time I mean it’s still the first day, we’ll have time to do everything we wanted to do..” My hand gently cradling his cheek. “Now let’s go get these squirts, okay? So we can come back and resume our interrupted star gazing, hm?” His frown turned into a small smile as he opened the back of the van for me to go inside, so we could get to where the kids were. Occasional smiles and glances were given to each other as we begun our drive to the roller skating rink.

A piece of me wishing something prevented me from going home so soon.

If only I knew what this emergency at Rink-O-Mania would eventually lead to…

AAAA DAY TWO FINISHED!!! It’s a short one but that’s okay cuz I wanted it that way :) missing Jonathan my precious camera boy…

1. Queen - "39: If you could tell your F/O any one thing, across the barriers of reality and fiction, what would you tell them? Would it be advice, reassurance, or something else?

Oh my goodness :(( first of all I’d want to give him the biggest hug I can ever give to him. Then just look at him and tell him that his dreams/thoughts/ambitions matter. And that his mom and brother won’t hate him or think less of him/think of him as his father if he wanted to go chase his dreams. He’s carried so much on his shoulders to keep his family safe, he deserves to think for himself just for a little bit.. that’s something I feel like he needs to hear the most. That and how pretty/handsome I think he is since in canon he doesn’t believe he’s handsome even if someone tells him. My poor Johnny..

5. Billy Joel - The Longest Time: What effect do you imagine you would have on your F/O? Do you think that you would influence how they think of things, their interests, or how they react to things? Do you think they would try different things because of you?

Omg that’s so interesting.., I’d like to think I effect him positively?? :( I’d very much hope so. I feel like he’d come out of his shell more and be more extroverted and go out places with me or as a group with the Hawkins gang. That and I feel like his self worth would go up more since I have to constantly reassure him that he shouldn’t be a doormat/put himself first sometimes since it’s so easy for him to be a people pleaser (I get it cuz I’m that way too). Plus just him feeling loved in general and feeling like he can love since I’m sure his parents divorce kind of made him nervous to fall in love..

8. Elton John - I'm Still Standing: What's a song you enjoy (one that you didn't pick up from them, if applicable) that you think your F/O would also like?

Oh my goodness here we go I’m gonna go absolutely crazy there’s so many songs I can pick and choose but . He’d definitely love any New Order Song I throw at him (mainly Bizarre Love Triangle, Temptation, and Ceremony) and also Love My away by Psychedelic Furs… and also Love Plus One by Haircut 100…
