The most aggravating thing about all the stuff I’m seeing about Taylor Swifts new album (of course, I haven’t listened to it, i have some modicum of self respect) is that she’s like one of the most popular musicians alive and when she portrays mental illness as superficially as she does, no wonder no one takes mental health issues seriously! This shit isn’t just harmless background noise, it’s actively harmful and portrays a false, neutered image of serious struggles that many people actually have to deal with everyday of their lives!
