Kara Elizabeth Anderson, better known as Doctor Kara, is the head scientist of the Daystar Research Facility - an underground laboratory that was once renowned for its great discoveries, but had fallen off the deep end in recent years. She thinks herself to be a great genius so is more than deserving of her position, but she is recognized by others as an asshole, a murderer, a self-centered deadbeat, and a sadistic freak. Rumor has it that she was once a very competent (albeit strange) scientist who worked diligently at Daystar, until it mysteriously it fell under her management. Unfortunately, a mixture of trauma, illness, and dangerous, brain-altering chemicals drove her down a path of madness. She is, for lack of a better word, totally insane. Ever since she seized her position as head scientist and Daystar's CEO, the labs have become a site of great suffering and tragedy. All discoveries that are made are pointless, or could’ve been made in much kinder ways. Subjects never leave healthy; they rarely ever leave at all anymore. Staff come and go (and die) as often as subjects do, in order for Kara to persevere her twisted echo chamber that centers around her own “vision.” It is unsure what exactly that vision is, but through unrelenting zeal and great displays of violence, she’ll surely make it there someday! After all, she’s a genius - how could she ever fail?

brief explanation: these are like… the song’s only lyrics, but they fit! kara and i were both scene kids, so this song holds a special place in both of our hearts. especially kara’s, because she was a rave girl herself. she loves listening to this song and i love staring at her longingly while she dances to it.

next, i got ifhy by tyler the creator, which is… whew.

kara and my self insert have a very weird relationship! kara is an asshole and solaris (my s/i) is literally her lab rat, so they’ve got..a lot of weird and complicated feelings there. by every account, they should hate each other, but they actually latched onto each other super hard, and are rarely ever seen apart now. this song speaks true to those complicated feelings and more..codependent side of their relationship.

i’ll admit, these lyrics are little bit dramatic - solaris and kara may not have the most healthy or traditional relationship, but they are happy! ifhy is technically a lil bit too dark for them, however the point still stands. Kinda.

i struggle with buying gifs, so i feel like kara would by the most gifts. i like to buy very few things, but very meaningful things. kara just likes to buy shit. she has a lot of money that comes from seemingly nowhere, so whenever she wants to win me over, she’ll go out and buy me a shit ton of stuff she knows that i’ll like.

also, in our story, i am technically one of her experiments and i do not often leave her lab on my own, so i can’t really go out and buy many gifts. but she can!! and she does.

- kara is a very mad scientist that owns a giant ass laboratory that she uses for terrible things.

- my self insert is one of kara’s experiments. she was killed by kara (i know, i know, it’s bad) and brought back to life as a zombie/frankenstein-like creature, which overjoyed kara, because she is obsessed with the undead. he became kara’s favorite after that.

- solaris (my s/i) will occasionally rip some of his stitches, and everyone kara will repair them with a different color of very vibrant thread.

- kara’s favorite food is cakepops.

- kara’s first experiment was herself. she totally fucked herself up physically with all the chemicals n shit she poured into herself.

- kara and solaris go on cafe dates a lot.

- kara used to be scene kid. she still sort of is, but it’s become buried in her adulthood.

- solaris likes to draw things for kara.

- one of kara’s favorite poisons is foxglove, only because solaris is part fox & foxes are his favorite animal.

- kara will never admit it, but she really likes it when solaris sings to her (which he does a lot.)

- kara and solaris are both autistic.

Mistletoe - When did you and them have your first kiss? What’s their favorite place to kiss? Where do they like to be kissed?

it took kara a while to finally kiss me. she’s not the most affectionate, at least not in the traditional sense, and i was honestly slightly afraid to initiate any sort of affection. she kissed me when she was patching me up after an experiment. it was sudden and surprising, but it made me really happy.

kara’s favorite place to kiss me is either on my mouth or my neck/chest, but she also gives me lots of cheek and forehead kisses. she tends to lean more toward other forms of affection that aren’t kissing, but when she does kiss me, it’s usually in one of those places. she enjoys being kissed on the muzzle and on her stitches, mainly the ones on her stomach.

kara and i are both super into pda! kara is very possessive and enjoys parading around the fact that i am hers, and i just like feeling loved by her (which i always do), so pda is like..our favorite thing. everyone in the lab is used to it by now lol, and no one comments on it because ka is fucking terrifying.
