[ 🫀 ] does your muse make decisions with their head or their heart? perhaps a bit of both?

JACE : Both. The combination of this is inevitable when it comes to Jace. Although he places big efforts in the attempt to act purely with reason, his morals, and sometimes even emotions, often sneak their way in. But that highly depends on the situation and people being involved in it.

CLARE : Mostly head. Clare avoids mixing her feelings in this process as much as possible, trying to ignore that part of her completely. However, what she is 'trying' and what comes out, are completely two different things. What she will do often does not line up with what she intended, mostly when it comes to people that are close to her. When it comes to them, her mode switches to 'only heart', and reason flies out of the window. (Of course, the hell will freeze over before she admits that, and will do everything to explain it in a way that make her doing to seem logical)

[ 🏛 ] does your muse have any strange interests? do they keep these interests to themselves, or are they comfortable sharing them with others?

JACE: Jace has a hobby that he keeps hidden from everyone. Although it is nothing shocking, the reasons behind why is he doing it would be embarrassing for him to explain. Jace occasionally does crosswords puzzles. The motive behind it is that he is trying to 'exercise' his mind, learn in a way that makes the process 'bearable' and expand his vocabulary.

Even if Jace is far from stupid, he is aware that his eloquence suffers since the interactions he has are not exactly very 'sophisticated', so he does crossword puzzles to maybe learn something new. Same goes for "random fact" part. It is quite interesting what a person can learn from such a simple mind teaser, and the knowledge from it falls in various sections, from random life things, science, universe... He usually keeps them in the attic in old dusty boxes, so if ever someone was to find it, he would just say it was left there by the previous owners of the house.

CLARE: Although she is not a bit embarrassed by her preferences, this ‘interest’ was reserved for those with whom she spends her ‘intimate’ time with. Clare has a thing for BDSM, and while it is nothing hardcore, one aspect of it is very tempting to her,and that is the lingerie and some bondage. Clare absolutely loves to dress up in those kind of things, plus being tied down by it is one of most prominent fetishes. (I find it necessary to add that she is a ‘sub’ in those kind of things, and nothing too extreme is involved.)

JACE: Absolutely. Jace, even with his choices about dating life because of the gang are colliding with that wish, always wanted kids. He has a soft spot for that innocent and playful creatures, and he always wanted a few of his own. Jace would be that kind of a dad that would get equally excited by going to the candy store, toy store, watching cartoons and the rest, as the kids would be. Finding him watching Sponge Bob with full focus with his kids would be a regular thing, dressing as something goofy that his kids chose for Halloween, would be his absolute pleasure, and nothing would stop him from keeping his kiddos as happy and safe as humanly possible. Catto would be a dedicated father in every aspect, and never would put nothing above his family. So, with him, waking up in the middle of the night for a few times every day when they are crying, later when they get bigger taking them to school and to the park, even playing in the sandbox with them, or later doing homework with them, nothing would be hard for Jace. In fact, he would cherish every moment of their life.

I mean. come on, just take a look at this and tell me he is not MADE for being a dad:  

CLARE: With the redhead it gets ‘tricky’. Since she placed a few things, such as partnership, marriage and family / kids, in a iron box of her mentality, wrapped it with chains and threw it in to the deep ocean of denial, it is hard for her to distinguishes ‘want’ from ‘forbidden fantasies’. In other words, Clare denied herself the privilege of even thinking about such things, let alone considering it possible or, god forbid, wanting them. However, there is a few things that are important to be mentioned here. Clare, if life brings her a surprise of the actually being able to have those things, would change herself completely. Redhead would be such a loving, caring and protective mother, even Mommy Voorhees would seem as a joke compared to Clare’s dedication. She would go to inhuman limits to provide her child with a life where they will know how appreciated, adored and loved they are. She would change her ways to meet their needs, give up her wild side for their good, and ensuring they grow up in good people, having all chances of life always open to them, as she supports them completely whatever they choose. Clare, without a doubt, would be reborn in the moment the kid is born. I truly believe that would be the final thing to free her from her demons, in a way as ‘forever forgetting them’. Her kid would be a blessing and proof of just how beautiful life can be, and nothing but affection and support would await for them.

Also, Clare almost became a mom once, but not in a traditional sense. As a substitute teacher, there was a kid in her class named Franco. A eight year old boy was a quiet, polite kid that never attracted attention to himself. He was not bullied by other kids, nothing about him was standing out, and that is what made Clare concerned. Being an abused child herself, she knew what was the best way of staying away from your abuser’s sight, and that is completely ‘blending in’ with the space. She did it often, even went to great lengths to sneak to her file in the principle’s office to change Elise’s contact number, after once she was contacted that Clare won a prize in science fair and they wanted the parent to come and take a photo with her for the school news paper. That night Clare ended up with a beating and her only science book she bough for herself thrown in trash,  because Elise was disturbed by the call while she was at her manicure appointment. Needless to say, she never came to school, and Clare always made sure that grade reports, invitations and anything that could land at their doorstep involving her, was collected by her hands before Elise sees it.

That is why it didn’t took her long before deciding to look into Franco’s file, and paying special attention to him. Turns out, he was a bright kid, specially amazed with her subject, and Clare once even followed him home. She knew something was up when she saw the kid wondering around aimlessly, before finally stopping at one house. The house was big, expensive, but Franco hesitated to go inside.

Shortly after, Clare opened an extra class for anyone who wants to join, doing experiments while drinking soda and eating snacks she provided, and on her great delight, Franco joined. She did it because she wanted to make sure he has a place to be, eat and be safe, before she delicately approached the matter. Talking to him step by step, at his own terms, she noticed  even when it was summer, he always wore long sleeves...until one day she noticed a bruise when he rolled his sleeve up a bit to go and wash his hands. Clare was on the edge. She knew bringing this to the police and school would do Franco no good, since the system failed often, plus, Franco’s father was a well respected man. A monster in disguise, just like Elise. At that point, Franco grew attached to the redhead to the point he even asked her is it possible for her to attend their school play to watch him. Clare broke.

She was ready to go and make a deal with his family, asking them to give Franco to her for adoption. And so she did, being greeted by the father himself. After a brief and fierce conversation, the man literally laughed at her face, telling her that isn’t there enough of worthless brats for her to pick from at the orphanage, He shamelessly added - does she realize how would that look for the public if he gets rid of that kid in such a way? His way of speaking ensured Clare what he is, and after kicking her out, just what he would do to Franco for this.

Luckily, she was faster. With a good numbers in the bank account and a few right contacts, she payed a few hooligans to ambush Franco’s dad that night, and give him a taste of his own medicine, before she joined, giving him ‘another chance’ to reconsider his answer. The man pleaded for mercy, promised he will lay his hands off of Franco and arrange the papers in the morning.

Next day Franco did not come to school. And when Clare came to his doorstep, she was greeted by the police. Although Franco’s father did not dare to accuse her, he did report the attack to use as an excuse to ship Franco away in some boarding school, as a revenge for Clare. His influences and connections were more powerful that Clare’s , so tracking Franco down was impossible. To this day, Clare never stopped her search nor did she forgot Franco, paying each month the same men that beat up his father to walk near his house or office for him to see them, as a reminder what will happen if he ever decides to do more than sending Franco away.

JACE : Without admitting it, Jace felt trapped with his criminal life often. A few times he considered to just come clean or try to have his gang work in a honest way, but that idea he knew would not be very accepted by his crew.

CLARE : By her behavior. Clare is tired of constantly barking and biting everyone around  her, it is draining in every way, but that is only she knows, so being trapped in an endless circle of hatred, violence and doubt is something she is suffering on daily bases.

 🚌   ] what haunts your muse? is there any event in your muse’s past that they can’t move past?

JACE : Families of those he killed. Jace has no mercy when it comes to his enemies, knowing well what kind of men they are, however, that does not make their kids and wives guilty. Jace, on two occasions, after murdering two men that had wives and kids that he knew will not be taken care of by the gang of the men, made sure a bigger amount of founds was anonymously transferred to their bank accounts. This he has done with his own money and in secret, telling no one about it.

CLARE (in her main verse where Alice and Jake are alive) : Franco. Being unable to help him, and saving him from the same form of misery will always be a heavy ball and chain around her ankle. Clare will never forgive herself for not succeeding in adopting him and providing him with a loving home he deserves.
