North node represents your destiny, what your here for and your spiritual purpose.

North node in 4th house : You're here to find your soul family too and to clear the debt you guys have together. Most females with this placement became house wife and males look after their family most of the time. It can also mean that your main focus is going to be family. Or creating a home environment is important for you.
North node in 5th house : you are here to express authentic self. You might have had to life under constant pressure of what you should be Or you should do in your past life. You might have been a royal in your past life. So to say you are here to be what you want to be .

North node in 9th house : you are here to find beauty of life and your own philosophy of life. You might like to write poems or songs yourself. You might even question what's real and what's not. This placement can also make you not believe in God.
North node in 10th house : you are here for fame and to make name for yourself! In your past lives you might have been too much involved with your family that you didn't have a name yourself or no identity so to say. You might even be know for your family and not yourself.

crazy hazbin hotel theory but like i was thinking about what is it that gets you into heaven after the last episode. Nobody knows what it is but it was said that Adam was the first person to enter heaven. And what does Adam have that make him unique? Hes a big egoist who only talks about how great he is.
Tumblr media
Even though we know he is a terrible person, his behaviour is similar to many demons we see in hazbin hotel and helluva boss, Adam really believes he deserves to go to heaven. So what if what one needs to do to get in heaven is believe that they’re actually good that they deserve redemption and to be in Heaven. That would also explain why no demon has ever risen to heaven cause from the moment they went to hell they lost all hope of redemption, cause they figured hey I don’t deserve to go to heaven after all.
Also think about blitz for a second. Hes a total shit most of the time but we know the reason he strives for that, he hates himself and only finds it logical that everyone else hates him too. And we can assume thats how most of the demons feel.
Tumblr media
for most demons the thought of pure love is unattainable, cause in their mind they don’t deserve it. Millie and Moxie have the best relationship out there, they both are proud of their relationship and each other something that is always commented on by other people especially blitz cause to him its not possible to be loved like that by someone (this is one of the main reason he doesn’t believe stolas actually cares about him)
Tumblr media
Charlie always talks about how she’s stressed cause she can’t find out why her plan isn’t working. And it would make sense that the key is that the demons themselves can’t believe that they deserve redemption. Anyway thats just a theory

astro thoughts 🏇🌈✨💫🍳
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH ❤️ even though it’s almost July
disclaimer: I didn’t check my orthography
i hate it but what’s trying to tell me the universe. my friend reminds me of my mom 😭 kill me pls. she have sun 11H, she worries a lot about how others understand what she saids, what others may think of her. she wants to be peaceful but at the same time she have moon in scorpio so she’s struggling and she have a certain opinion about others based on the first impression or what made more impact -negative? idk. now I feel judge -I think it’s my anxiety-. Update: i said what was bothering me to her and everything is said, I’m proud of me, I’m in peace, she responded in a understanding manner. I can breath.
the degree of your ascendant says ALOT, not only about the physical appearance. it could point out even your career, how’s focused your life, how you react…now that I think about it, it’s like an ascendant in your ascendant pc (but if it confused you ignore it).
for example, my friend have gemini degree in his ascendant, he’s doing his major in communication, his family is full of artists and specially musicians, so he grew up knowing how to play every music instrument, it’s like breathing to him, music. he’s used to it and he express himself by composing and being curious, wanting to know about this and that. other example: my other friend has a gemini rising but I was thinking “there’s something that’s missing” 👀 the leo degree of course. he be slayyiing💅 he’s sassy. he knows what he wants and people always be wanting him not the other way around 🙄 he’s like purr stunning gurl 💋
the same friend told me the other day that his first impression of me was or exactly what he thought: “you don’t want to mess with her” “I wouldn’t mess with her ever”. he told me I remembered him of maddy of euphoria -I gave him the idea bc I didn’t understand and he agreed-. Ascendant - Saturn aspects make you look like a bad bitch, like they’ll kick your ass if you don’t do what they tell you, THEY ARE. The structure of their face is also bony. They look like they’re mad, like they’re on their way and if you step there you’re dead: karmic. The jawline, omg, is sharp, it could cut you.

Also, bc Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, Capricorn ascendants and saturn-ascendant aspects share characteristics but are not the same? Capricorn risings have this cheekbones that are so sensual and even if they age, the cheekbones are still there, what you notice first is that. What they share is the intimidating aura strangers perceive. In different levels or forms I believe.

TWO QUEENS THAT I CANT FINISH TO DESCRIBE HOW THEIRE SO ETHEREAL BEAUTIFUL STUNNING ICONIC AND INFINITE THINGS MORE
I have Mars in Retrograde. I don’t know what bothers me until I explode or until I go to my psychologist. I minimize what bothers me and save it all in the back, so then my brain will hurt. I don’t figure out or notice when something bothers me bc I don’t think is a big deal or that’s a joke, but even if it’s a joke I can still not like it -a side note-. You’ll find me realizing later what was bothering me and then struggling to tell people how I really felt when they did THAT something.

when the kid’s mercury is sextile Saturn’s dad (synastry: mercury sextile saturn), it means the dad communicates with their child as a way of teaching, caring about them. through their communication, they share childhood stories, experiences of any type and what they have learned about them, what they have observed. trough their talking they share their wisdom. the father have all the attention of their kid when he opens his mouth. the kid somehow knows something important is about to be said or they admires their dad that much.

Leo moons 5H + aries degree can be pretty egoist, they could lost themselves in the idea of something, of having it. Also they don’t think, twice letting themselves be carried by the emotion that idea gives them. They’re in their pretty little world of fun but they are not looking what’s happening to others, they’re hungry for their passion. I HAVE TO TELL: not everyone with these placements are like this and blablabla -the same thing I say for precaution- AND I had something, it’s not even something 🙄 I had nothing with these placement k? but it gives you an explanation for my attitude. STILL, I think I gotta mention some of the synastry so it’ll make sense. In another time bc I don’t want to waste my energy in that -and don’t want to-.
Saturn in opposition with Uranus aspect makes the individual stay in the doubt. They’re stanched while they keep analyzing the pro and cons of the situation they want to start/be part. Even if someone extern try to help, they’ll be doubting more.
Virgo moons are just so wholesome ☹️❤️ They want to help. they’re always doing something. they want the best for you. they care of others as if they take care of themselves but better, sadly. they work too much they need a rest but they know they’ll be anxious of doing nothing. they’re just pure souls. they’re so kind. always helping in a ONG/organization that helps needed ones.
Aquarius mercury always have something to say, they’re always right 🙄 even though they say it’s comprensible and natural that everyone have their own beliefs I don’t believe them. I think they think their mindset is better and everyone should follow it. LIKE GURL WTF I know you think you are wise and shit and you’ve passed through experiences that made you learned and that inspired you to tell them to others BUT let others make mistakes and be wrong, let others don’t be like you, there’s the beauty. I always find them criticizing others for their manners, as if they have lived the same way you did.
I don’t believe/trust? in libras, yeah ok may be that my sun is in libra but not my whole chart. That’s what I’m talking about, with that last sentence I’m gaslighting you 💌 how tf you believe in libras when they don’t tell the truth directly I CANT. With my honesty I gotta mention that my libra sun appear when I don’t want to ruin something that benefits me, when I don’t know the person and I try my best, to my sag/scorpio/aquarius placements to not appear. They always keep something in their minds, they don’t tell you all, they keep to themselves some part, could be to not hurt you, doesn’t benefits them or whatever. a friend with moon in libra degree and another with libra moon: I always want them to say what they want, they can’t. I want to squish the hell out of them bc I can’t too😭🔪
Ceres 3H is a good placement for a psychologist. How they motivate others using their minds, that easily absorbs and process/analyses experiences and knowledge, to finally find a solution depending on the case -of the patient-, so it’ll be suitable. When they help others, their communication keeps improving with time. More experience = better. Still, it’s natural.

How Astarion and good-aligned Tav become equals in the Ascendant's and Spawn's routes
Exhibit A: Astarion believes a good-aligned Tav is judging him
Player: You're a hypocrite, and I don't want to be with you.
A!Astarion: There you are. The real you shows themselves at last.
Astarion used to believe that you think you are better than him (and have been judging/pitying/trying to save him) this whole time. On the one hand, he used to agree with Tav before the Ascension because of his low self-esteem. I think that on the other, deep in his heart, he resented Tav for thinking of him this way. And finally Tav shows their true colors by saying what they really think.
Spawn Astarion:  And I get to share it with you, as a partner. An equal.
To me this also implies that beforehand he didn't see himself as Tav's equal.
Exhibit B: Astarion believes Tav is complicit
A!Astarion: And now you think you can stand there and tell me how to feel? Because - what? Because you care?
A!Astarion: Your hands are bloody as mine, darling. Why would you go along with any of this just to pretend you're innocent now?
As Neil remarked in one in his interviews, Astarion is not amoral - he can tell right from wrong, and he obviously understands that what he did was awful. And it's important to him to know that Tav is also complicit in all of this: it puts them on the same level as him, Tav no longer has any basis for thinking that they are better. Their hands are as bloody as his.
Exhibit C: Astarion believes a good-aligned Tav is a hypocrite
Player: I wasn't about to release seven thousand hungry vampire spawn into the world.
A!Astarion: Of course, whatever you need to tell yourself, darling.
A!Astarion: And one wicked turn deserves another.
He thinks that Tav is as bad as him, and what seemed to him as their ''goodness'' at the beginning ("No one has a heart like you") is actually hypocrisy. Again, he and Tav are on the same level now in his head. Plus, notice how he calls both the Ascension and the turning Tav into a spawn ''a wicked turn''.
Exhibit D: Becoming equals
A!Astarion:  So, tell me what you desire. What can I do for my dearest pet?
Spawn Astarion:  And I get to share it with you, as a partner. An equal.
As we saw in Exhibit A, in Astarion's head, his relationship with Tav wasn't equal: Tav is a remarkable person, "no one has a heart" like them, whereas he's a ratboy: lured innocent people, kidnapped children and cowered before Cazador.
Ascended Astarion stops viewing Tav as superior to him by making them complicit in his crime of killing 7007 people: they are not better than him, they are a power-hungry hypocrite who hides their true nature by shifting the blame and denying the obvious, just like he used to do. But now he has more power, so Tav has actually become inferior to him.
Spawn Astarion becomes equal with Tav by sacrificing his egoistic needs in favour of doing what is morally right.

Ok but the real question is how would Kaveh and Ratio interact, because while Ratio is very similar to Alhaitham, they do have some notible differences.
Like he does seem to be more altruistic than Ahaitham in a sense (like his main goal is to help people learn, while haitham's is to just lead a simple life), also Ratio seems to have more appreciation for arts (at least I think) and I can see Kaveh getting alone with with him in that sense.
On the other hand I can also see Kaveh just not vibing with his personality or his methods. Either way i feel like a conversation between the two would be interesting to watch... even if theres a good chance I wouldn't understand half of what they're saying
(Aslo there's a good chance i got some of Dr. Ratio's characterization wrong, haven't exactly had the same amount of time to dissecte his character as we have with Kaveh & Alhaitham, so I could have missed something or misinterpreted it)
dr ratio shares some similarities to haitham regarding some traits (extremely intelligent, self centered, confident, a buff scholar etc) but is different. he gets angry or aggressive often when faced with ignorance or smth he regards as stupid; the most emotion (not counting azar scene) i heard of haitham being slightly pissy is the one time in aaru village when he told dehya to stop yelling AHHAHA (i just love how he says it, hes so cute ugh)
ratio detests ignorance and stupidity but not bc he thinks of himself as smth better but bc he sees those as illnesses dulling ppls minds and he wants to cure it by sharing his knowledge with the universe.
haitham and ratio both want ppl to use their brains yes, but haitham doesnt rlly care about educating ppl (in fact he doesnt rlly care about anything unless it directly affects him, seeing that he doesnt even bother correcting ppls mistakes or false claims unless it will trouble him. this is just connected to his philosophy tho, prioritizing/taking care of himself first, not meddling and believing that it would cause much less problems in general and lead to simpler lives if everyone else would do the same. its not that he doesnt care bc he hates ppl. hes asocial, not antisocial)
so yes, while haitham doesnt care about ppl and their intellectual level (yall remember how he picked books that are easy and interesting for paimon to read in his last birthday mail? my heart still gets warm aaa) ratio detests "stupidity" (not ppl or "stupid ppl") as he regards it as a disease; so much so that he wears that mask so he doesnt have to look at it. hes a professor wanting to educate ppl like a doctor wanting to cure an illness. he believes that intellect and creativity isnt smth only geniuses have but for everyone and everyone can reach higher intellectual levels if they educate themselves enough and learn how to use their brains, if they lose their ignorance.
this is the impression i got tho with the bits we have!! ofc i can be wrong with what i think.
anw ratios philosophy/goals are grander than haithams; it certainly isnt bc ratios such a good man who wants to educate the universe tho (i just know hes a mean prof u dont wanna disappoint), its just bc he wants to get rid of that which he regards as illness. i think its more egoistical reasons there, bro doesnt want to taint his eyes any more or smth
anw i think esp with the line about him believing that "intellect and creativity isnt confined to geniuses", and the appreciation for good arts, him and kaveh meeting would be very interesting. also they get angered so fast its funny

In-depth Natal Chart Analysis - reconnect with your Soul and uncover the Divine within you
Learn natal astrology
(These are not in any particular order)
Pisces placements often refuse their own spiritual abilities unless they're really in tune with their chart and Soul purpose. I've noticed this so many times - these natives have the most potential for a natural connection to the divine, yet they so often dismiss it. This can be related to a variety of things, but I believe it mostly comes down to them being subconsciously scared to detach from the material plane and trust their innate wisdom (which often goes against what society has taught us). However when a native with strong Piscean energy does connect to the divine, they're unstoppable and enlightening.
Leo placements (yes I'm a big fan of these) have so much light in them. I can't stand all the "they're so egoistical" bullsht. Of course some will be, especially the unevolved ones, but let's be honest: most are scared of healed strong Leo energy because they don't get them (and our society really isn't built for someone like them living according to their highest vibrations). Leos are strong, brave, loving, joyous, and have enormous hearts. They're simply made out of pure love and I will not be arguing about this.
Natives with an abundance of Taurus placement will not ever forget how you did them wrong. It's a matter of time before their disappointment exceeds their feelings for you and they snap (and when they do it's truly awful). I know that we like to think Cancers are the most likely to hold grudges (and to an extent they are, but in a much more different way) but a fixed sign will really think about that for the rest of their lives. If they do happen to also have Cancer placements, forget ever being really forgiven (unless they're particularly conscious).
Scorpio placements are really not as vengeful as people believe them to be. They are ruled by Pluto - what they do is transform and outgrow their pain. Yes their anger is strong and all-consuming, but ultimately they're meant to let it go to be able to better themselves. And let's be honest, Scorpio placements have to go through so much. They're asked to face pain and discomfort throughout most of their lives. A conscious native will transform this into their greatest strength, they won't plan their revenge for years. They know something greater's coming.
Gemini placements are the true intellectuals of the zodiac. Wait, before you come for me (lately it seems that most only call them chatty and annoying), hear me out. I'm not saying they're smarter than anyone, but they are the most invested in learning about the world. This can take many different forms based on their unique chart, and most of the time the form it takes is chaotic. They may not follow the traditional educational path. Where Aquarius placements are invested in learning, yes, Gemini placements are also invested in applying what they've learned. They're unlikely to really dedicate their lives to one subject - but they will dedicate their life to continuously grow and stimulate their intellect. There's so much more to be said here.
Aries placements generally have a hard time accepting themselves. They carry so much enthusiasm and energy with them, more often than not they'll be deemed "too much". This can really hinder their spirit - these natives need a lot of freedom and acceptance from their early childhood to grow into their confidence and powerful drive. If they don't get it, they often tend to retreat within themselves and hold back their energy. This is the root of the stereotypical Aries anger - they've often been suppressing themselves for years.
Aquarius placements often need to give others better credit for the lessons they teach them. Giving gratitude is an important lesson they need to learn in this lifetime. Yes, gratitude. Even for their hurts. Possibly especially for their hurts. They have the ability to easily recognize patterns in human behavior, and they wouldn't be able to exercise this if they isolate. If an Aquarian numbs their emotions and doesn't realize the great (soon to be positive) impact a bad experience had for them they'll be unable to learn from it.
Virgo placements can be just as loving as the stereotypical maternally affectionate Cancerian. Their typical pickiness when it comes to choosing whether to let someone into their life or not is their way of evaluating possible hurts and protecting themselves from it. A healed Virgo native however will not be running away from someone based on the rationalization they made of the situation - a healed Virgo will have a highly developed intuition and be a channel for divine messages - they'll just know what is right for them without the need to judge the situation. And if the situation is indeed right, they'll be some of the most loving and dedicated people in your life.
Libra, Capricorn, Cancer, and Sagittarius placements coming soon.

South Side Story
Shameless Fanfiction Season 1
Desna Hills has come living in the Southside of Chicago four years before. Taken in by Kev and V, Desna is close friends with the Gallaghers. Let's see how this Southside story unfolds.
MASTERLIST
<< Previous - Next >>
Tumblr media
Chapter 11
Canada.
Frank Gallagher was in Canada.
“How’s it possible?” Desna had asked with wide eyes observing V that had just entered the house to inform her.
“Steve apparently,” Veronica had said taking a breath.
“That’s fucked up,” Desna had said.
Her eyes followed Carl and Debbie play in the playgrounds. Since Kevin and Veronica were the only two with passports they went with Steve to cross the border and bring Frank back in America. It was unbelievable that Steve had take the man and left him in Canada, but on the other hand Desna didn’t feel like blame him. The girl looked at the children play, running around as she was sitting on the swing. She was Carl’s age when she was taken away from her family. Her mother was drunk since a young age and she had tried to get sober more than once, the last time she tried social service took Desna into foster care, she must have been Liam’s age at that point. Her first memories started when her mother was sober, cooking, playing, normal stuff… it was in that period that Kev had met Desna and her mother, he was a neighbor and Desna remembered that she liked to play with Kev even if she could not remember it clearly.
But when she was seven year old he came into their life.
She remembered him the first time he meet her, so charming, so nice and friendly. Everyone in the neighborhood liked him. Desna liked him as well, finally seeing her mother happy and serene. And Desna was finally feeling like she could have a normal family, like the one her friends at school had. The day her mother had married that man, he promised that he would have taken care of her, protect them and that they would have been happy. And they believed it. But they were wrong.
It didn’t take long for him to show his true face; a violent drug dealer, violent and egoistic. He got angry at everything at anything, and he would beat her mother almost everyday. Desna was eight and he had terrorized her, telling her that if she would have tell what was happening to anyone he would have killed them both. It didn’t take long for her mother to relapse. She started to drink. And the worst part was that she said that she loved him, and that he was right. She did nothing to protect herself, or her daughter. And once his attention moved to Desna, she did nothing.
What kind of parents let their children suffer? What kind of parents choose themselves over their kids? They could not defend themselves, they were there to show them the way, not to keep drinking so that that could struggle all their life.
Social services saved her life. When Kev knew what had happened, he looked for her and decided to take her in with V.
If Frank Gallagher would have left probably social services would have taken the Gallaghers away. But that could not happen.
She observed Debbie and Carl.
Desna was alone, they weren’t, and no one cared to keep siblings together.
They were stuck, a shit of a father or the perspective to face the future alone, without the people that they relied the most on.
“D,” as she cared Karen’s voice, Desna had to keep herself from rolling her eyes.
“You know my name very well, Karen,” she said without turning, “Cut the shit out.”
Karen giggled sitting on the swing next to her, “Someone is stressed, why don’t you go fuck, Lip?” Then she gasped, “Oh wait, you can’t.”
Desna turned to Karen, “What do you want?”
“Always knew you were the jealous time,” Karen seemed very amused by what was going on, “I bet you can’t even think at how many things me and Lip are doing right now.”
That made Desna scoff.
“It’s not about that,” Desna answered, before turning away, “You wouldn’t understand anyway.”
She could feel Karen’s eyes on her, and she just wished that she would have left soon.
“You think you’re better than me?” Karen challenged.
On Desna’s lips appeared a smile as her eyes moved back to the girl next to her, “Yeah,” Karen seemed taken aback by her words.
“I give a shit about who I care about,” Desna said, “And in return I want to know where I stand. Sex is fun, but I’m not a whore,” then she stood up calling for the kids, “Honestly Karen, you two can fuck how much you want, I’m not jealous of you. I’m jealous that you have a space in his life.”
The days went by, Frank was back, and their usual life came back again. She went to school, studied and went to work. She worked almost everyday, she had nothing else to do so why not earn some more money? She didn’t went to the Gallaghers as much, especially when she knew that Lip was at home. And when they met they didn’t really speak, they avoided look at each other more than they had to. And she missed him, but she was not going to tell him anything. Probably it was better like that.
“Why do I need to even study French?” Ian complained on top of the ladder as he was organizing the goods on a shelf.
“Culture?” Desna asked teasingly, “Helping an handsome Frenchguy in need?” He glared at her when she passed him a bag of chips.
“It’s easy for you,” he complained, “You’ve got all straight A in French,” then it turned with a frown, “Are you taking Spanish classes as well?”
“Claro que sí,” he gave her another glare, and that made her giggle as she passed him another goods, “Come on, let me brag a little bit, these are the only classes where I got good grades,” she then took a break, “Since I’ve stopped seeing Lip even those went down.”
“What other things went down?” Ian asked with a teasing smile.
Desna tilted his head, “My patience to deal with smartasses,” Ian chuckled getting down the ladder.
“I didn’t think you’d resist to much without seeing each other,” Ian said as he got closer to another shelf and Desna followed him taking a breath.
“Yeah, well…” she said, “I’m not planning to see him any time soon,” Ian turned to her leaning his arm on the ladder, with a frown.
“I admit that I don’t understand the whole Karen’s thing, and you like him,” He was saying and her brown moved up in a frown.
“That’s not why I broke it off,” Desna stopped him. And her words took him by surprise.
“Then what happened?”
“I thought he told you,” she answered confused.
“He told me you left him,” he said, his face serious as he observed her looking away with a scoff.
“Did he mention what he told me?” She asked crossing her arms over her chest. And when he shook his head, she spoke again, “Lip is very vocal in calling Karen his best friend,” then she shrugged her shoulders, “That’s fine, I don’t care. But when I’ve asked him what am I to him, his answer was ‘a good fuck’,” Ian eyes widened.
“Exact words?” He asked.
“Yep,” she said bitterly nodding her head,
“Shit…” he muttered.
Then Desna took a breath “I-I knew that he didn’t want a relationship,” she said, “And I knew that he has a thing for Karen, but… I don’t know…”
Ian observed her, “Did you two talked about you’re umm… situationship?”
“Not at first,” she answered honestly, “I mean after the first time we had sex, we’d started to jump at each other at any moment we could,” they really did. After that night on the couch they just couldn’t keep their hands for each other, and what started as steamy sex started out of nowhere, became real encounters.
“I just wanted to know if he cares about me just a little,” she admitted, “And it hurt me that he does not see anything else in me, if not sex.”
Ian’s hand moved to touch her arm and she smiled a little at his touch, “I think he’s just an asshole,” he said making her turn with a frown, “He can say whatever, but he would not be that upset if he didn’t care just a little.”
“Is he upset? Even now?” She asked with wide eyes and Ian nodded his head. If he was upset then maybe he cared, even just a little. Maybe he missed her. And for some reason she could not stop the smile on her face, “Am I a bitch if it feels good to know?”
Ian chuckled, “No,” and that made her laugh.
As they were laughing the door of the shop opened making the two of them turn. Desna looked at Ian when she noticed Mandy Milkovich stepping in the shop.
“She is here for you,” Desna muttered. Ian shoved her a little.
Mandy was Mikey’s sister and she was in the same grade as Ian and Desna. History class together. And lately she had started to give Ian lots of attention, trying to talk to him every time she could. Desna had told that to Ian but he usually dismissed her, saying that she was imagining things.
“I’m telling you, man, she is here to flirt with you,” she said, her eyes on Mandy that was looking around.
“She is here to shop,” Ian said firmly.
“Of course she is, you’re a snack,” at her answer he glared at her, and that made her giggle.
“Ian!” Mandy greeted him as she walked closer.
“I’mma go,” Desna said, she felt Ian hand trying to grab her, but she dodged him. She had noticed how Mandy seemed not to like when Desna talked to Ian, and for how much she loved him, she really didn’t want any more troubles with any Milkovich. She waved at Ian as she exited the shop, feeling a little bad and a little amused by how he was looking at her.
Desna was walking back home, her mind thinking about it’s favorite subject once again. Lip apparently was upset for some reason, and a part of her felt great about it, maybe he really missed her, maybe he really cared, but the other part of her told her that it was sex that he missed, only that, end her joy started to die down a little.
“Hello,” the voice of Iggy Milkovich made her stop. He was standing in front of her, observing her body with that gaze that really made her feel uneasy.
“What do you want?” She asked, unconsciously making a step back when he got closer. On his lips a viscous smirk.
“You know what I want,” he said moving his hand, but as his fingers touched her face, she slapped his hand away.
“I told you not to touch me!” She exclaimed and he raided his hands with a low chuckle.
“No worries,” he said, “I’m not going to do anything that you’ll not agree doing.”
Her eyes studied his movements in case of any possible action from him, “That’ll never happen,” she stated firmly, but that chuckle left his lips again as he leaned forward.
“Don’t worry, you will,” he said.
“Why would I do that?” She asked with a shaky voice, she didn’t like his eyes. Her breath get caught in her throat when he moved to speak into her ear.
“You’ll see,” those words made her feel suddenly cold, unable to move. Iggy looked at her one more time before walking past her.
He was starting to terrorize her. She didn’t like his eyes, there’s was only lust in them. He wanted to have her again and she coursed herself for having put herself in that situation. She did exactly what she should have to avoid. As she felt him far from her she let out a shaky breath. He was not going to hurt her, he couldn’t. She tried to convince herself that Iggy Milkovich would have not touched her, but her hands started shaking again.

so i see a lot of speculation on here about what exactly drives astarion to do some of the evil shit that he does. here are some Thoughts i have without straying too far into headcanon territory (to the best of my ability)
firstly, bg3 is a dnd game. it has the wizards of the coast seal of approval. so i think it’s safe to assume that the alignments of these characters went into consideration when creating them.
it recently came out that astarion is a neutral evil character on the idle champions website. so basically, that gives us some insight to his world views and goals.
What does it mean to be Neutral Evil?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
some notes:
basically, a neutral evil character has an ‘eat-or-be-eaten’ view of society. the weak yield to the strong, and weak leaders should always be usurped by someone stronger.
they also have very little compassion and empathy for anyone else, and believe that committing acts of ‘good’ are pointless if it does not benefit themselves in some way.
they crave to be the one in powerful positions, and will do almost anything to fulfill that power fantasy, but they are not ignorant. they know better than to dive headfirst into situations in which they foresee themselves getting killed or severely injured.
if we consider that this is not just how astarion views his own personal life, but how he believes the world works (e.g, when he tells a ‘good’ tav that they are naive to the ways of the world), it gives us some idea why he is so against helping others, which is something i often see controversy around.
he essentially admits to having the idea that most, if not all people, are self-serving (e.g, he says that he does not believe there are ‘good’ people in the world besides tav). he has the mentality that the weak should stay weak, so that they might not take advantage of a helping hand like he would. in his mind, you are helping a potential foe who would turn on you during your own time of need to advance themselves.
that being said, he does not disapprove of helping people 100% of the time. if there is something in it for him, something that will aid his survival or his quest for power, he will take it.
Ascension
(possible headcanon territory, i don’t have any in-game evidence to support this and i am merely going off of the conclusions listed above)
all of these views lead to his desires for ascension. although, once he finally reaches the top of the food chain, it’s likely he feels that he is constantly under scrutiny by those waiting for any sign of weakness to usurp him (who, based on his neutral evil beliefs, inevitably exist. he even somewhat confirms this himself through the act of taking cazador’s place). i think this ties into the comments by the writers of how ascension confirms his fears, meaning he is forever trapped in his egoist views of the world and in a constant battle to protect his status— in lieu of learning to change or embrace what he perceives as ‘weak’ through the unascended ending.
The Source of this Mentality
there are some ideas that he sees the world this way because of cazador. this may be the case— but it is worth noting that he also expressed neutral evil traits before being bitten as well (e.g, using his position of power as a magistrate in a self-serving way and expecting others to obey laws while not holding himself to the same standard), so it is not unlikely that he already had this mindset and then it was heavily enforced by cazador.
Character Development
of course, as the game goes on, he seems to gradually loosen up on what he approves of vs doesn’t. he has occasional slip-ups with things he should consider ‘weak’— one of the most prevalent cases of this being his attitude towards children, who are, ironically, the purest example of the weak and needy (e.g, he approves of you playing with oliver [as long as you win], saving vanra from auntie ethel/comforting her after, feeding/giving gold to yenna, and helping mol win the chess game).
(possible headcanon territory) considering that he does not see children as a threat, he may not have the same worries in regards to helping them, if we circle back to the fear of aiding those who will eventually turn against him.
In Conclusion
he’s not a perfect neutral evil character (it would be incredibly restrictive if he was), but his writing does seem to refer to many of these guidelines, and i think it’s a helpful tool in better understanding him.
that’s all for now.

i care what everyone thinks about me, this is the only way i can conceptualize my own identity -> i care what people think about me, i consider this normal because i need the acceptance of others and do not believe i will naturally acquire it, thus must seek it out relentlessly & fret if i think it's not secured -> there are some people whose values and preferences are so distant from my own that i do not care what they think of me, however i still worry about what those who align themselves with me in the ways that i believe to matter think about me -> i understand that even those who align themselves with me are massively various, shadowy, flawed creatures, understand that i accept them despite this, have begun to discern the egoistic fallibility of my long-held belief that i am inherently different from them (we are all inherently different from each other); thus, i have begun to discern the egoistic fallibility of my long-held belief that i am inherently in need of their approval -> i understand that there are as many ways to think about me as there are people on the planet and that most of them do not think about me often enough or with enough scrutiny to locate me solidly within their approval or disapproval; rather, they see me as forms and qualities that interact with their own forms and qualities, their own panoply of experience, in quite individual ways; i see also this behavior reflected in my own thoughts and feelings about others; thus, the once-unimpeachable framework of approval and disapproval begins to disintegrate -> i understand my own ability to analyze and embrace myself, change myself, accept myself, build and deconstruct myself, all supported by the same values i unknowingly identified in myself long ago, by which i assessed whose opinions of me i ought or ought not to care about; thus, what others think about me recedes further and further against the horizon -> i am myself and i do not care what others think about me

[Spoilers for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish]
I haven't seen anyone mention this since I've only skimmed the tag and I know at some time I'm gonna be reblogging everything in that tag another day.
However, one scene that stood out to me was when Puss was trapped in the Cave of Lost Souls.
He is met with all his past lives but as scene plays on, they all start talking about how Puss doesn't need Kitty Softpaws and Perrito.
Because as we know, Puss is someone who is constantly reaching that legend that has been created around him. A clever cat who can go through extreme and high-intense situations, a cat who doesn't need anyone else. That's just how good he is, he believes this himself.
At least his past-selves do.
And in this scene we see Death shatter these crystals/mirrors of these versions of Puss. All of which hold this egoistic idea that they can handle it all, they can do it all by themselves, they have all the skill they need to not depend on another person.
And after this scene happen, Puss who still is trying to cling on his ego while having faced these moments of trust and opening up to others throughout the movie. (As well as receiving help, which we see how he already reacts to that in the beginning. He says he doesn't need it, thinks it's unnecessary, until he is met with Death.)
These little details of conversations with Kitty where they talk openly about the church.
Before the scene of the Cave of Lost Souls, when Puss runs off further into the Dark Forest and is found by Perrito. This is a major moment and that is crucial as a start off to what is the lead up to when everyone reaches the star.
Because at the star, Puss is forced to face his internal conflict of ego vs self. Would you rather have multiple lives, forever living for the legends and songs being made about you, constantly fighting and saving people, to always be some unreachable legend as a way to live and to never allow yourself to fully trust and open to another and live a life of peace. Or accept death and understand the worth that exists between close friendships, that you are more than the heroic deeds you have done, to enjoy life and be at peace at being completely vulnerable.
Puss never had to think at in-depth level of death and one day it'll come for him.
Death is the one thing you can't just fight and defeat with swords, foot-work, and with cleverness.
Which was such an incredible decision that Death is an actual character.
Death as a tangible person that expresses thoughts and emotions as any other character is what really helps put the idea of death and its important role in this story.
Before Death and Puss fight, Puss and Kitty have a conversation. After this build-up of understanding Puss' ego from the very beginning of the movie to how slowly there are moments of vulnerability that build up with another character who is also going through the same thing of not trusting others and fending off on her own in this universe. But Perrito is such an important aspect in this dynamic and what he stands for.
He is everything that Kitty Softpaws and Puss in Boots come to learn and internalize as they spend time with him.
The ability to be optimistic and to be content within the present.
And the build up to what is the final piece of the puzzle that connects everything that has been shown is when they were on the star.
Kitty Softpaws was already at a place where she thought she had someone to trust and count on, that she didn't need the star because Puss is right there.
But as we know, Puss got to the star before she and Perrito did. Completely throwing her off of how Puss was acting before. Believing that Puss was only using her.
In the Cave of Lost Souls, when the different versions of Puss are saying how he doesn't need Perrito, Kitty Softpaws, or anyone else at all. You see him thinking about this because he's used to never needing anyone. He's become used to the dynamic he has with Kitty and Perrito. To be faced again with that belief he has held on to for so long. He can survive anything, why would he need anyone? And when Death shows up, he runs again. He runs again from the idea of accepting death.
We have this incredible fight scene at the star which I adored. We also see the Bears helping Goldi.
And we get to the part where Death and Puss in Boots have this final stand-off.
Kill your ego or die. Cling to your legend you've created throughout multiple lives and become one with it by your body itself becoming intangible and non-existent. Legends are just stories told of people from the past, not something that is alive and breathing in the current present.
And the fight scene was so cool. They did an incredible job.
That part where Puss loses his sword and uses the dagger(?) Kitty gave him? The acceptance of help, that single little detail of Kitty WILLING giving him that dagger to end up being what helps him in this fight was my favorite part. I love when movies do that, my god.
But at the end? When Puss is staring right into Death's eyes. An acceptance that he will no longer run from the inevitable, that if death comes for him, he will not run or struggle. To accept life more than being and chasing after this legend Puss has created for himself and to accept death more than as a threat to that legend and to himself.
And the scene where Perrito, Kitty, and Puss are sitting down and looking at the stars, saying their goodbye to Goldi and the Bears who've also had an incredible story throughout the movie. That simple peaceful moment after this constant push and pull of what the ego wants vs what the self wants. Which this is something constantly shown not just in Puss but even the other characters. Perrito serves as a story narrative of this ego vs self difference. In Goldi and the Bears with Goldi who wants a "real" family and the Bears who already accept and love her, they see her as just right, Goldi never needed that wish but she was convinced she needed it because of probably some weird attached belief of what a family "should" be. But what family is goes beyond than simply having a mother and a father. Kitty Softpaws and how she acts towards Puss and Perrito, how even she slowly begins to open up to them. She finds herself slowly trusting Puss and Perrito, believing that maybe she doesn't need the wish at all.
I've only watched the movie once so sorry if some stuff here could possibly be worded incorrectly or honestly just. not enough? In a sense? I'm sure there's stuff I'm missing but at the most basic level of interpretation and analyzation this is what I've gathered. This is very quick-rapid rambling so I could've made some mistakes with some character analysis/descriptions, sorry about that!
This movie is incredible and I adore the story. I know I'm probably gonna watch it about 10 more times.

oopsie here's an unsolicited sae analysis post
Too lazy to add photos so you guys are going to have to survive with just text lmao (warning! long post!!!!)
I feel that sae's biggest issue is his relationship with failure. Like every gifted kid expected to perform, sae has no idea how to react when things don't go his way. Unsurprisingly, he's a control freak (rin says himself that the reason sae chose shidou is because he'd be able to control a "demon" nobody else could) so things always *have* to go his way, and when they don't, he kinda bluescreens almost.
The earliest form of sae failing to accept losses or just being wrong in general is when rin and sae are eating ice cream together. Rin wins and sae loses, but sae instead turns it into rin "losing" and sae "winning" by telling rin that he shouldn't waste his luck on something like that. Yet, it's clear in sae's initial reaction of disgust upon seeing the losing result that he doesn't truly believe that. He just hates losing *that* much and is a stubborn bitch so he then proceeds to never correct this belief over the course of literal years. Sae cannot in any way shape or form accept defeat and grow from it. He is almost like the opposite of isagi. He cannot consolidate and adapt.
Delusion time for a moment: there is kinda no basis for this interpretation, but i feel that the ice cream scene can be applied to sae and rin themselves. What i mean by that is, i believe rin is actually more talented than sae. Some circumstantial evidence for this includes: rin's very first play/moment on the field is him pulling off honestly a crazy move for a toddler who's never played. The smoke effect that represents ego is immediately present as well. Additionally, sae's egoist bible profile includes that he asked santa to show him his yet discovered talent, which then can be interpreted as sae believing he doesn't have talent (vs. rin who does). Or, it could just be sae joking lmao he's a pretty funny dude after all.
Basically, when looking at the itoshi flashback through this lense, a lot of moments are recontextualized. Sae immediately approaches rin after rin first plays and says he'll be the best *after* sae, almost as to reign in rin's talent so he never dreams something beyond what his brother can do. His cruelties could possibly stem from jealousy.
Sae is forced to contend with immense pressure from all around him while rin can mostly play carefree. Sae is japan's greatest treasure and therefore must perform for the sake of his entire country. Rin just obeys his instincts as a child and everything works out. He even mentions after sae leaves for spain that without sae, soccer is restricting essentially because sae paved a path for rin and took on that "restrictiveness" upon himself. So two things rin has that sae doesn't: talent and freedom. This obviously worsens after the spain trip.
(quick aside: cannot believe sae was sent to a foreign country alone that does not 100% love accommodating foreigners for FOUR YEARS. AS AN ADOLESCENT. LIKE THOSE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT YEARS.)
Now we return to the point of sae being unable to accept failure and such. Unlike what we have seen from the blue lock boys, being faced with the world makes sae cower and fail himself before the world does. He deems being the best striker impossible and switches to midfielder without really trying his absolute hardest in order to become the best. Unable to learn and grow from failure and unable to accept a loss, sae basically self sabotages when he changes his dream. Once again though, sae's stubborn as shit, so when he changes his dream he goes all in on it.
Even still, when sae returns he isn't 100% on the idea. He goes to see rin, likely the first person he sought out after returning, basically just for some validation. After 4 years of being valued for nothing other than soccer, i feel that sae probably just wanted comfort from his brother that isn't really connected to soccer. Rin then proceeds to reject sae's new dream and boom every resentment bottled up between the two explodes.
When sae plays rin, his goal *is* to crush rin's dream like his own was. He desperately wants to prove to himself that his choice to change wasn't wrong by showing up rin, his "more talented" brother. He wins, but isn't happy about it at all.
I think we all know that sae doesn't literally mean what he says when he then tells rin to quit. A lot of it is projection and defense mechanisms. But once again, he cannot accept defeat or admit to wrong doing so he doesn't. And then, again, the stubbornness comes back to prevent him from changing later down the line. Sae still loves rin of course and watches over him in his own way (watch sae's reactions to rin during the u20 match for proof of this), but yeah. Older sibling moment!!! He is never wrong :)))))
lmao okay that's it thanks for reading!! remember sae did nothing wrong <333 (delusional)

Being Serbian and not religious is complicated enough, but being queer on top of that is even more complicated and that's concerning.
You see, Serbs have a very unique history and bond with religion. Serbia was under Ottoman rule from the middle of the 15th century up until the begging of the 19th century which is a long long time. Being a part of Ottoman empire meant that they wanted to assimilate you and there were many awful things they did due but i won't go into that rn. What was weird about Ottoman empire compared to other oppressors was that they never banned different religions. Obviously your life would have been easier if you became muslim but it wasn't like they killed you for not doing that as Romans did. So Serbian people became very close to the church and it bound all of the folk customs and holidays to itself and saved them which is a great thing and I'm so thankful for that but nowadays it's impossible to separate them. Every aspect of culture is somehow made christian and Serbian people have accepted orthodox christianity as a part of their national identity. You can't imagine how many people I've met who were confused about how can someone be Serbian if they're not christian. And most of them don't even believe in God or what christianity preaches, it's a national identity for them. They can't imagine what Serbs actually are beyond the religion and it's sad.
Other important thing is that all of the holidays and customs are pagan. They have been pagan and then Serbs got christianised in a quick way which means that they just masked the paganism in chriatianity and called it a day. There's practiced whichcraft in Serbian orthodox christianity and people refuse to call it that because it's a normal christian thing for them. There's prayers, healing watter and oils, plants, various rituals for various days (not just Easter and Christmas but even those are completely different than how other christians celebrate them), there's days where you don't work or do certain things so that you don't get God angry, there's future predictions by looking in a cup or reading in the coal or hot iron and various other customs and beliefs. And no one accepts them as anything but chriatian.
So yeah separation of religion and nationality is crucial for Serbian people to move forward but it's also very hard to do and it's beneficial to the government so no one is doing anything about it. Nationalism is unfortunately on the rise among Serbian people and obviously christianity is also. There's people who are ready to fight for "holy places" and Serbian (read christian) values. There's diaspora that's trying to reconnect with their nationality and they just fall into christianty and nationalistic propaganda and it's awful. Most of these people are cowards so I have hope they won't do anything stupid as starting another war but it's still concerning. When your national identity is so strongly bound to christianty a threat to christian beliefs is a threat to your nationality and you already know who falls into that "threat" category.
Also, pagan slavic spaces got infected by fascists and white slavic supremacist? It's like what happened in nordic pagan spaces. I know I know it makes no sense for south slavs to be fascists when ww2 fascists targeted them but you have to understand that these people aren't smart enough to understand that and are egoistic enough to twist things to better suit their beliefs.
That's why queer Slavs and queer folk art and queer history of slavs is so important and even revolutionary in times and places like these. And of course this post is not against christians. One of my favorite things are loving non bigoted christians, especially if they are queer themselves.

This is more a comparison thought, but with the release of the X Men ‘97 trailer there’s been an increase in the “Wolverine is the real leader, Scott (Summers) is a dolt” sort of comments. Because I saw a text post about Scott (McCall)’s leadership skills I immediately made a, admittedly simplistic, comparison.
Fandom so often attaches themselves to the loud and angry characters, often the most reactionary, and declare them the most proactive and real leaders. I see it as a common thread in fandom, and one I worth a further discussion. How often characters with ideals, who consider the ramifications of actions, who attempt a steady hand are dismissed for the characters that meet our desire for action and violence.
I don’t believe I’ve fully formed thoughts on this, but it was an immediate consideration after seeing posts.
Before I tackle this question, I want to clarify that I only read Marvel Comics from 1984 to 1995 and then again from 2007 to 2013. I did read back issues during both periods, but those are the time periods where my opinion were set, and so there might be things from outside those time frames which do not impact my analysis.
The first time I stopped reading was due to two trends that simply uninterested me. During the 1980s, the X-Men comics had adventures but there was at least some degree of being grounded in everyday life. The 80s X-men worried about fitting in with the people around them and about having a life outside the spandex and fighting off the Brood and the Marauders, etc. When Riptide put Nightcrawler in a coma, it influence how other characters reacted to events. By about the summer of 1995, I didn't find that anymore in X-men.
The early 90s also saw the rise of the antihero in Marvel and a greater emphasis on bombast. The Punisher became a hero. Wolverine stopped worrying about his body count. There was no slow build up in the comics to a pulse-pounding conclusion; instead, there were pulse-pounding conclusions every three months. The comics I read slowly pulled away from "people with powers" and into what I referred to as "powers with a name tag attached." It was most likely me aging out of my interests.
The second time, I picked up the comics out of nostalgia and I found that there was a new level of maturity to be found in the storytelling. Characters like Captain America and Charles Xavier were being pushed out of their roles; a new generation had to learn how to protect themselves and others. And then came "Time Runs Out." It did, but in this case it was the time running out was my interest in the comics. Marvel Comics, like Hollywood, decided to go for retreads of original characters than take a risk on something new.
Both times, nuanced visions of leadership were the first thing to go. The "best" leader became the character who ignored everything but resolving the immediate problem as quickly as possible. With that criteria, Wolverine and characters like him -- lets call them what they are, killers -- were the best choice. But just as importantly, leaders who attempted to address systemic problems in the comic's world, the things that created the immediate problem were portrayed as bootlickers too inured to suffering to even notice it (various leaders of the Avengers), anxious managers whose refusal to act decisively simply perpetuated the problems (Cyclops and Spider-man), or hide-bound egoists too infatuated with their own visions and status to want to actually solve the problem.
Yes, I'm talking about Charles Xavier.
Don't get me wrong, Deadly Genesis is rightfully praised, and the terrible errors that Xavier committed there are legitimate criticisms of the character and how he approached resolving mutant oppression. But Marvel, as it frequently does, saw a golden goose and then beat it to death. Xavier barely remained a hero, instead becoming a stand-in for every corrupted politician in the history of the world. The thoughtful recognition of Xavier's sacrifice, his nobility, and his ultimate belief in the necessity of finding common ground was obliterated for the next episode of "What Did Charlie Do Now?"
The X-men wouldn't have been what they were without Charles's vision. The present writers know that too, they just resent it. I feel that Cyclops, too, has been robbed of his principles in order to become a Wolverine with speeches. When you can't tell the difference between one of Cyclops' bubbles and one of Magneto's speech bubbles, something's gone wrong. (This is not a criticism of Magneto. I thoroughly enjoy his perspective as one among many.) As far as I can tell, there are only two types of leaders in Marvel Comics who aren't villains: manipulative old people who have lost touch with the people they're trying to protect and the Voices of Generational Violence Embodied. I'm sure that there are people who enjoy that, but I'm not one of them.

I know you said you won't rant about Vil anymore BUT YOU ALSO SAID YOU DIDN'T WRITE _EVERYTHING_ THAT YOU WANTED TO
sooooo... can you please still do this? I'm begging you on my knees orz You are literally one of the very few people here who engage with Vil as a character thoroughly whithout dumb him down or seeing him as one dimensional egoist (wich is an extremely weird take)
Dear Anon, I am super super super SUPER late, I’ve received your ask a couple of weeks ago already… I really hope that both Vil and you will forgive me lol Thank you for enabling me to talk about him more though!
Also, I am very happy to hear that you think my perception of Vil is thorough; he is a great character, and the fact that he is so misinterpreted only makes him more interesting to dissect and explore.
I’ll start with a hot take: I think that Vil is the nicest housewarden after Kalim, despite also being one of the super strict ones. I briefly mentioned it in my previous reply, the rules he sets for his students make much more sense than the ones in Heartslabyul, and as a housewarden he isn’t driven by his own gain (like Azul, for example). He also isn’t manipulative or backstabbing, not because he wouldn’t be able to pull that off (like Kalim, for example), but because he just has no interest in it. Vil genuinely wants people around him to better themselves, and not only in a physical appearance sense.
Which, of course, could lead to conflicts, like the one he has with Epel: Vil believes in his own principles, he is certain that he knows better because it’s his lifestyle and his perfect work ethics that gave him everything he has in life. And since all of this is pretty normal to him, he might have it difficult to adjust to other people’s pace, or might not even want to do so.
Vil is amazing, but he isn’t absolutely flawless (shocking), but this is exactly why his character works so well. His better traits lead to his negative traits; they’re tied together, like it always is in any human being. He is super hardworking, but he also expects others to be ready to work as hard as he does. He is very focused on achieving his goals, but by doing so he might ignore the fact that others are overwhelmed with his pace and intensity. He knows his own worth and is very self-confident, but he also has very high standards for himself and is his own worst critic. He is creative and inspiring, but he also can overthink things in search of this perfect artistic expression that he wants to achieve.
I also find it fun that the idea of Vil being misunderstood comes up several times: he really seems to be perceived as some sort of cold-hearted elitist, at least by Epel. Like in the book 6 (..spoiler warning?), when Vil kisses Rook and Epel (and Yuu), there is this vibe of “what, you thought I wouldn’t be happy to see you and want to kiss my boys who came to save me?”, and yeah, why wouldn’t he? To Vil, showing affection isn’t an unnatural thing, he just doesn’t do it when it’s inappropriate: i.e., when he’s acting as a housewarden. In fact, just before he kissed the boys, he scolded Rook for being a horrible vice-housewarden and leaving Pomefiore unattended, but still, showed his gratitude in a gentle and loving way right after that.
Since we watched Harveston's Kelkkarotu event, I also wanted to mention something about it. Long story short, Epel didn’t want to ask Vil (or Rook) to come with him, because he really didn’t want Vil to boss him around and force him to act politely and cutely in front of his grandmother. Now, I am more than happy with the team Epel ended up with, god it was a fun event, but I can’t help but feel a little bit bummed out because we didn’t get to see Vil’s and Marja/Maruya’s interactions. The thing is, I actually disagree with Epel. I think it makes perfect sense for his character to think that Vil would’ve acted this way, but I feel like Vil is the “When in Rome, do as the Romans do" type of person. Why would he force Pomefiore standards on Epel while he is in his hometown? They aren’t in Pomefiore anymore, and Vil wouldn’t be a housewarden at that moment: he would’ve been Epel’s upperclassmen and (hopefully) a friend who is visiting him in his hometown. Vil’s told a bunch of times that one needs to behave according to their position, circumstances and occasion, so there wouldn’t be a point for a strict housewarden Vil to boss Epel around: he has no authority there, Epel and his grandmother do.
This is purely a speculation based on my perception of Vil, of course. But still, I would’ve loved to see Vil (and Rook!) there with Epel lol
Also, I can’t write a post about Vil without mentioning Rook, so I’m sorry, I’m going to talk about the end of the book 5 again.
I really love the fact that despite feeling hurt enough to cry when he found out that Rook had voted for Neige, Vil wasn’t petty or even angry about it. And for someone who’d literally tried to poison Neige like an hour ago, he accepted Rook fanboying over him quite easily, because he knows Rook and trusts him enough to know that he wouldn’t backstab him just because he is a Neige fanboy, and that he (Rook) probably has other reasons. Which is surprisingly mature for someone who just went through an emotional roller-coaster, if you ask me. I don’t think anyone would’ve blamed Vil if he got angry and even more upset with Rook, but the only thing Rook got was “what a cruel man you are” or something among those lines.
I actually think about this line a lot. Imagine being so un-petty that even when your closest person and biggest supporter (seemingly) backstabs you and exposes himself as a fan of a boy who’s pretty much ruined your entire life, instead of saying “yeah fuck you too, asshole” simply out of emotions, you just say this. “I know this isn’t why you voted this way, I am not an idiot”. The trust he has in this man, god their relationship is good lol

(OtomeAyui translation and official translation)
So, yeah. All I’m trying to say is that Vil isn’t stupid or egotistical: he is in fact quite wise and mature, also respectful when he needs to be.
Sigh…
In case you haven’t noticed yet, I love Vil a lot lol

I finished this mini-project! I wanted to redraw and redesign all my Sonic OCs I had 18 years ago, just to see how they would look like with my current skills and it's was absolute blast!
My teen self would never believe they will grow that much, my inner child is happy now!
I don't remember the story for these characters, so I quickly made up new one to tie them all together, which you find under the cut, along with stand alone pictures.
Blade the Hedgehog (?).
An immortal weird-looking hedgehog who been around for 3000 years. They've seen and been through a lot, but despite anything, they keep a positive, yet grounded view of life. Blade has incredible charisma which lets them to get along almost with anyone, but they rarely open up. People often assume they're naive and too trusting, but in reality, Blade has very few things to worry about - their life is not one of them.
Blade is dedicated to record history and preserve their findings in the huge archive, hidden in Rusty Ruins. After all, time erodes everything, and if it can't take one's body - it will take their memory instead.
Abilities are unknown.
Tumblr media
Tulip the Echidrel.
The long-living echidrels are small community of squirrel-echidna hybrids, carrying knowledge and customs of their ascendants since ancient times. They're natural explorers, charting places where many wouldn't dare to go. Tulip is no exception and that's the main reason why she quickly became friends with Blade.
Excellent problem solver, but also very stubborn that sometime leads her into "must find the way to complete a task today or else" trap.
She's a guardian of Rusty Ruins Archives and will introduce her spiky mace to the intruder's face if necessary.
Tumblr media
Glint the Tenrec.
A lone sorceress living on the remote island in her mansion she inherited from her parents. She appears to be shy amd innocent, but make no mistake - she will not hesitate to fight using whatever means necessary.
Collecting varios magical artifacts, she wants to uncover the secret behind planet origins and it's dimensions, especially the places known as "Beyond". The simple curiosity drives Glint forward, sometime even dealing with shady people to obtain knowledge.
Tumblr media
Umbra the ???
A mysterious entity from the "Beyond". Made of darkness, she can hide herself in shadows and between dimensions. Long ago Umra made a mistake and accidentally broke the biggest taboo of her people. As punishment, she was banished from Beyond for all eternity.
Entities like her cannot exist long in different dimensions, unless they bind themselves to someone native to it. Lucky for Umbra, she crossed her paths with Glint and made a pact - survival for helping the sorceress to gain knowledge she wants.
Tumblr media
Fierce the Chimera.
An escaped experiment, who recently broke free and now roaming in Rusty Ruins. Always angry and never seem to be in a good mood, she already had few fights with local immortal hedgehog. Blade has no idea where Fierce came from and what's her deal, but they her and her pet snake Ping stay regardless.
Meanwhile, Fierce just wants to be left alone, haunted by images of her forgotten past and headsplitting migraines.
She's strong, sometimes can go berserk of pushed too much. Ping has a potent venom and will strike lighting fast if it's feels Fierce being in danger.
Tumblr media
Dr. Prion.
A kangaroo how deem himself superior above the rest. The world is unjust place, plagues with lies, overlords, and "heroes" who believe what they do is best for everyone. It's up to him to fix it, diving deep into genetics and brain functions. Fascinated by long lifespan of echidrels, he seek to achieve the same result by making hybrids.
One time Glint supported his aspirations, funding his projects. But as time passed, the more she saw his terrifying egoistical side despite the fruitful reserch. She backed away, and to this day Prion dreams of revenge.
But first, he wants to fix the world, and soon everyone will become like him - rational.
Tumblr media
Flow the Aquabird.
One of successful hybridisation experiments Dr. Prion even made. Strengths of both species turned Flow into a beautiful and dangerous weapon, who combine ballet dancing with hydrokinesis.
Not only she's powerful, but 100% loyal to Prion no matter what. His worldview is current and it's the only way to save the world and turn it into paradise. Of course, she wasn't like this when they first met, Prion wiped her memory entirely, erasing the person she once was.
Now she's eternally grateful to the doctor for saving her from the cruel world, and will anything in her power to archive his dreams. Trusts no one expect Prion and Mecha Raptor - her bodyguard.
If you hear Swan Lake instead of regular drowning theme - you know that Flow is nearby.
Tumblr media
Mecha Raptor.
Dr. Prion, while being sure that his work on Flow won't come undone, still wants to put a failsafe. Someone to protect his perfect weapon from forming different opinion on the world. Through some shady and illegal shenanigans, he got his hands on a stolen schematic crated by an engineer genius Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. It took Prion some time to figure out, but eventually he created Mecha Raptor.
It has no personality and it's only priority is to ensure Flow's happiness and protection.
