You know, for years I've been thinking "the whole half-vampire situation and 'kill the head vampire and free any half-vampires' thing in The Lost Boys is so unique, I've never seen that particular approach to vampire turning in any other vampire story, and it really fits the story well, I wonder how they came up with it" and.

It's Dracula. It's literally just what happens in Dracula. Michael Emerson and Mina Harker 'having to kill the master vampire whose blood (which you ingested) is slowly turning you into a creature of the night in order to become human again' handshake meme.

I have some pivotal news.

Some of you may remember around this time last year, I needed emergency surgery to remove an intestinal blockage. This, and the resulting 2 months in the hospital nearly killed me and ended this story.

In the year that has passed, I have developed a complicated hernia, which means another surgery is up ahead. I will be getting my CT scan at the end of April and I imagine things will move very quickly from there. My goal leading up to this is to play and gather as much of the game as I can so that while I am in the hospital, I have something to be creative with, data to play around with and ultimately keep my mental health going through the recovery process.

And, should the worst happen, and this blog become lost to time from my passing, ending with Vulcan is very beautiful. I'm happy he got the rest of his days in ambiguity.

More updates will come as I am able.

Some things I wanted to leave this generation on.

Brandy Bailey would have inherited Thorne Bailey's mansion had she not decided to go to space before discovering it. When Thorne adopted her, he was living in a senior living home in Strangerville, so she signed the mansion over to Vesper and Grace.

Vesper and Grace moved into the mansion in Del Sol Valley, bringing their boyfriend and not boyfriend with them. Zorro is probably very excited to meet Devante.

Side Story: Never Been Bitten. Coming Soon Fortune Nebula has found sanctuary for her crimes against Strangerville in Forgotten Hollow. She lives within the hallowed walls of the Vampire Nexus with her father Caleb Vatore and the other members of the vampire council. Her name has been changed to Nemo Vatore to reflect the transition and she has forsaken her claim to the inheritance. She has dreams of being a journalist but can only live in Forgotten Hollow until either she finds true love, or Vulcan passes away. She is allowed to leave and visit other places, but while she is in worlds that aren't protected by the moon, she will not be protected by Salem and must return to the Hollow by midnight.

She has begun studying vampires, and werewolves and incorporating alchemy into her love of mixology. She's convinced there's a mystery around all the vampires dying, her mother having been one of them and she wants to find the truth of who, or what is the culprit. What she finds might just be the power she needs. This side story comes with the warning of blood and death subject matter, vampires, and possibly vampire hunting.

Lucy Nebula. She has moved to San Myshuno and joined a punk band. As the representative of my personal interpretation of Venus, Lucy is likely to find herself in situations of excess, specifically drinking / party drugs. I don't plan on using specific names (or using it in a picture very often) but common associated symptoms may get described in the story arcs that follow. Knowing that I will not take it personally if you choose to unfollow me for your own sake. I do my best to keep suggestive things hidden under cuts with warnings, but I'm not perfect, which is why I'm posting it now. There will also be some exploring of punk / anarchist themes and using lots of music.

I appreciate all the notes. I know it's silly and this is only the beginning of generation three, but this is the furthest I've ever gotten in a legacy. I've done new simblrs over and over again for years changing around how I edit and playing with how I write, and I'm very honored to see this blog growing the way that it has. People interested in reading the story that me and my silly little video game are writing together. I'm happy you're all along on this ride with me, and if this should be the last stop, know that you were a part of the best years of my life. Which is saying a lot. Thank you.
