ATEEZ - Answer I’ve already stated why this song made me cry when I reviewed it over the summer. To attempt to put it shortly, I feel a sense of almost relief? It makes me feel proud of the boys in general and the songs feels like overcoming an obstacle and coming out stronger and just feeling overwhelmed by joy and happiness? And the part at the end really makes me just burst into tears it feels uplifting and beautiful.

MCND - Beautiful this song give me this nostalgia feeling, it sounds similar to a pop song I first heard in middle school (Down by Jay Sean). I started listening to pop in middle school and middle school is hell for everyone along with high school but there’s certain memories I have of middle school that weren’t too bad. I had a lot of friends, we filled up an entire table in the cafeteria. It was also in middle school that I sort of confessed to both my crushes. Middle school was different and new to me and ya’know middle school but this song reminds me of those times. Also about the song itself it gives me this feeling of longing and want like longing to fall in love and just it’s very strong and that really gets to me. (Upon looking up the lyrics it’s seems more like a song for the fans rather than a love song but that’s just the feeling it gives me and the way I interpret it)

Secret Number - Got That Boom recently this song has been making me feel things. Just the chorus is so upbeat and it feel like I can relax and just dance my heart out and just be happy and I don’t know if these girls will become an Itzy situation but there’s definitely something about the song that gives me kind of a similar feeling. I feel happy

CIX - Cinema ok so I never thought CIX would have this effect on me and up until recent songs didn’t give me these feelings and make me cry unless the song itself was sad. The way it’s been lately the songs I listen to can really sit with me and make me feel emotional even if the song is happy and upbeat. The way Cinema is, I’ve never used this phrasing before with anything, but the way I cried while just listening to the bridge and chorus in Cinema, that song is truly my safe place. Like my friend said “it feels like a hug” it does. That chorus gives me a feeling of nostalgia but in a way that makes it feel okay and it’s not a feeling that’s upsets me it’s literally a hug, it’s like a warm hug it feels like, like when I listen to it the way the members make their voices sound it’s relaxing and calming. It’s like whenever I hear the song, even if I’m watching a performance of it I feel calm, I feel okay. Like every bone in my body is at ease, every worry is melting away and I’m almost just floating on a cloud. I don’t exactly know how to put these feelings and emotions into words but I cannot praise Cinema enough.

OneWe & OneUs - Last Song this song is very upbeat and makes me feel joy and it doesn’t make me feel safe persay but it’s comforting. It’s another song that gives me a sense of longing. It’s like seeing an old friend again and reconnecting, like the ending credits to a really wholesome and wonderful movie about friendship and love amoung these friends that never stops growing. Just seeing all the clips in the mv of Oneus and Onewe together having fun and enjoying each other’s company, it’s almost like an end of summer recap having all these fun adventures and fun memories that you never want to forget and you will always cherish those memories and you want to keep those friends with you forever. And seeing them perform the song together on stage, the choreo has the same vibe it’s just a really feel good and wholesome song. (Also thinking about it now there also seems to be this sadness, like, ok in short sometimes I get really upset when I think about how I’m not little anymore. More on that later but this song feels like you’re just trying to be in the moment and preserve your youth, you don’t want to grow up, you don’t want things to change you want your friends to be with you always and you just want to live in this memory that you’ve captured foever and never grow up. That emotion is really strong here as well.)

Loona - Star a lot of people said this song gave them nostalgic feels and it’s crazy how that happened, it did for me too, as soon as I heard the chorus it hit me like a truck. I really don’t have the words to describe this song really other than that weird nostalgic feeling but it was weird how a lot of us had that feeling. The mv is beautiful and it’s crazy how I had memorized the chorus in the Korean version within a few days of watching them perform it. I really don’t know what to say about this song other than how amazing it is really. It kinda takes you back to a certain time in your life but I don’t know what that time it. Someone had said that they were listening to it while their mum was a asleep and the mum dreamed she was back in her hometown and she could hear that song play in the streets, it almost seems as if that song has time traveling powers or some power truly beyond humans lmao. She’s really something

Dreamcatcher - Odd Eye this song is hella but the bridge and the hard rock in the chorus sent me into fight or flight for the first time. I got another nostalgia feeling but with an image which never happens to me but basically picture it raining hard and you have extreme feelings of sadness and dread and you just want to almost scream?

Ghost9 - Thinking of Dawn another fight or flight song, it’s really weird tho but specifically Prince’s line in the bridge or chorus gave me a panic attack the first time I heard it, there’s something about the way the song and his voice sounds that like upsets me? And makes me want to cry. (Almost like this impending doom feeling. Similar vibes actually to that cursed Artificial Intelligence movie that I fucking loathe so goddamn much)

Twice - Cry for Me gurl this song gives me nostalgia like an early 2000’s but maybe late 90’s pop song and wow, it’s just so damn good I had to put it here

Sunmi - Pporoppipiiram - this song is another one that kinda plays with my emotions, I’ve described it as running away in the night with a secret lover, I’ve talked about wanting to just have these crazy night time shenanigans with a lover or friend and feeling free, it’s a song that I can see a sunrise in my head, the opening sounds and smells like a sunrise during the summer, possibly on the beach seeing the sun’s rays lighting up the ocean, the soft pink and orange glow, what Sunmi perfectly portrays in that mv is exactly what goes on in my mind whenever I listen to that song and she’s a certified bop™️ and that song is just so lovely but she’s got some feeling to it

2Z - Not Without You - motherfuckin 2Z came out with this song after Hyungwoong left and I was still upset about him leaving but I still wanted to support 2Z cause I wasn’t about to give up on them like that and the way this song was carried was gorgeous. I clearly cried, the way the song and the members voices make you feel comforted and kind of at peace with the world. It’s an uplifting song and the member’s sound wonderfully and Zunon’s voice was actually what brought me to tears, his singing is so gentle and truly beautiful and he fits right in with 2Z and when I realized that and I realized that 2Z can do all these things with their voices I just couldn’t help but cry. This song is like a huge sigh of relief but also tears of happiness

2Z - Stand nothing really specific about this song just the mv made me fucking cry at like 5 in the am. There was a big sad feeling tho

Yooa - Bon Voyage I never expected Yooa to get a solo but I was so blown away for her solo. It’s not a song that is a bop or really upbeat but it’s a gorgeous piece and with the way it sounds and the set and her outfits. It’s really the whole fantasy theme. It takes you away to a make believe world where you are free and you can just get away and escape. I don’t really know how to describe it but the scene where she’s on like rocks and she’s just spinning and it’s got that cool sound to the song, that scene describes the feeling perfectly

Pentagon - Daisy this fucking song. First off fuck you Pentagon for making me feel emotions yet making Yuto and Hongseok go tits up. Just seeing them all on the floor looking defeated or at a loss, it’s a painful feeling. It’s a song that makes me feel bad and towards the end I felt this feeling of fight or flight like, I wanted to stop watching it because I felt this inner panic for some reason like I had to get away. And then when they all sing together that really did me in, made me tear up and it’s a beautiful song but not in a beautiful way it’s painfully beautiful and the boys did so well in portraying all the feeling through their voices and just the different scenes in the mv

BlackPink - Lovesick Girls this song I call my self proclaimed anthem, I heard it for the first some time and it wasn’t until I watched them perform it for the first time that I teared up. At the time this happened I was really sad and I kept “slipping” so I felt very touch starved and clingy and I wanted just love and affection from anyone. I was feeling really lonely and the feeling was stronger than it’s ever been it I felt like crying all the time I was just so upset that I was lonely and I really wanted love and affection and this song was like my therapy for that I guess? I didn’t feel so alone. There’s a strong emotional bond I have with this, the desire and the need to fall in love and to just have attention from that one special person. I know the song is kind of about just feeling like you’re not cut out for falling in love and you know every relationship ends but there’s still that need, that desire to fall in love and be in love with another person, and with me I always say I don’t want to be in a relationship, I hate men, love is disgusting, but there’s thing strong desire and need inside me to be loved and to fall in love and sometimes, like when this song came out, you just get so upset that it feels like your heart is like in pain, like you hurt on the inside. That whole “hurts your heart” shit

Itzy - Wannabe I’m actually not going to explain why this song makes me cry I’m not ready to give the whole story yet and I probably won’t be. So in short, I heard this song when I was at quite a low point in my life I suppose, problems at work were just causing me to truly feel like shit and this song really hit me and actually the Wannabe era is what made me stan Itzy those girls are so precious to me and I hold them so close to my heart they are little miracles honestly and that song just really sits with me

I highly recommend all these songs they are so good and they have such beautiful and great mvs to go with them, some even cinematic masterpieces also this finna be my playlist for my funeral honestly. She doubles as the ‘play this at my funeral’ playlist

took a photography class to impress that cute albert boy from down the hall and worked extra hard all semester just to end up accidentally telling his advisor that he wanted to double minor in photography as well

he’s def one of those students that can fall asleep a n y w h e r e on campus

has a sleeve tattoo and is working on a second ;;;)))

he doesn’t party often, but when he does, the entire fire department and 7 cop cars show up by the end of the night to break it up

there was a rumor his sophomore year that he beat up 5 frat dudes at once during rush week for harassing girls and no one has heard of any issues from that frat since

is banned from the local chili’s for dining and dashing

shoplifts chef boyardee, microwavable ramen, and snickers bars from the student center convenience store to Survive

Charles:

environmental studies major

is in 50000000 activist clubs

regularly punches racist white boys w/ maga merch in the dorm common rooms and when the RA saw one time he didn’t do jack shit bc…. he right

“We have a problem.” Diego whispered to Ashton which made him jump because Diego appeared out of nowhere.

“We do?” Ashton raised his brow.

“Yes. C’mon!” Diego ushered and tried to drag Ashton with him but since Ashton was sitting on Sean’s lap there was no way.

“I’ll be right back.” Ashton murmured to his boyfriend and got up to follow his best friend wherever he wanted to go. They stopped near Diego’s locker and after Diego stopped looking around he finally explained what’s going on.

“Remember this new kid from History classes?�� He started.

“Varyyn? Of course, I do! It’s kinda hard to forget someone with blue skin.” Ashton answered.

“There are literally superhumans in Northbridge who can fly or slow time and stuff like that and you’re surprised by a guy with blue skin? Really? Also, I’ve heard he was one of the people from that island.” Diego scowled at his best friend. “Okay, whatever. So he and I have French together and I don’t know if this means anything or if that was just a coincidence but we sneezed at the same time and now I kinda think he might be my soulmate?” He scratched the back of his neck.

“Oh.”

“Don’t ‘oh’ me! I don’t want your pity! The guy is super hot!” Diego pointed out.

“Right, so why do you want from me exactly?”

“Remember how you thought Jake was your soulmate?” Diego teased and in exchange Ashton glared at him. “I take that as a ‘yes’. And remember how you tried to make yourself sneeze to see if you’re right? We’re gonna do the same thing right now. So go and give Sean a goodbye kiss because we're going to the library right now.” Diego looked at Ashton expectantly.

Ashton rolled his eyes but decided not to say anything and just do as Diego said to avoid more arguments. He said a quick goodbye to Sean and after he made sure he’s still up for the date today he came back to Diego who without saying anything more started heading out to the library.

“Quick question. Why the library?” Ashton asked when they were almost there.

“Because Varyyn is there, obviously.”

“Yeah, obviously...” Ashton chuckled silently.

After they entered the library Diego led them straight to the table next to the one Varryn was sitting at. For a moment they were just sitting there in silence. Ashton was tapping his fingers against the wood and looking around the place while Diego just stared at Varryn biting his lips until Varyyn looked up at him. At first, he was a little confused but then he recognized Diego and smile at him before coming back to the book he was reading.

“So? What’s the plan, boss?” Ashton asked finally bored with sitting around and doing nothing.

“Go on Google and search how can I make myself sneeze,” Diego ordered.

“’Kay... Let me see...” Ashton mumbled. “The first one is to wiggle a tissue in your nose but that would be super unattractive so we’re skipping this one.” He said. “Wait aren’t you like allergic to almost everything? Can’t you like rub something on your face?”

“Oh believe me if I just rub something on my face it’d end up being more unattractive than wiggling a tissue in my nose.” Diego asserted. “Gimme something else.”

“It says here that some people sneeze uncontrollably when suddenly exposed to bright light. So maybe look at the sun?” Ashton proposed.

Diego got up and went to the window. He even took his glasses off hoping it’d help. But unfortunately it didn’t work and he only spent a good minute standing there and staring at the sun.

“Nope.” He sighed and plopped down back in his chair. “Next one.”

“Since you can’t sniff a spice since we don’t have any... You want me to tweeze your brows or pluck a nose hair?” Ashton asked and then looked at Diego putting his phone down to take the tweezers from his backpack.

“Do I even wanna know why you have that? Y’know nevermind, let’s go with the first one.” Diego shrugged and positioned himself. “And how’s that supposed to make me sneeze?” He furrowed his brows.

“Supposedly this irritates the nerve endings in the face and stimulates the nasal nerve. Also, you may sneeze immediately, or it could take a few tries.” Ashton said and before Diego could react started tweezing his brows. And as they’ve found out later it didn’t work either.

“Is there anything else?”

“Yeah but I don’t think any of this will work.” Ashton hinted. “Gum?” He offered Diego who only nodded and then went back to googling ways to make someone sneeze. “I think this one-” Ashton started again but was cut off but Diego actually sneezing.

His eyes immediately went wide and he looked at Varyyn to see if he sneezed as well which he did.

“Dude!” Ashton grinned. “You’re totally soulmates.”

“Really?” Diego looked at him and he looked almost scared. “You sure?”

“Positive. He sneezed as soon as you did!” Ashton assured him and patter his shoulder. “And just so you know he’s heading towards us.” He quickly added and quickly went right back to his book pretending he had no idea what was happening.

“Hi,” Varryn said standing by their table. “Can we talk?” He asked Diego smiling sheepishly.

Diego looked at Ashton but he still was pretending he’s not interested in the situation so Diego took a deep breath and agreed. He got up and followed Varyyn to the sofa in the back of the room.

“What’s up?” Diego asked casually like he didn’t just make himself sneeze to see if they were soulmates.

“I think you’re my soulmate? I mean I’m sure you are since we sneezed at the same time twice today.” Varyyn chuckled. “And I think you were suspecting it too... unless you tried to make yourself sneeze just for fun.” He added after second.

“Wait, you saw that?!” Diego turned red immediately and covered his face with his hands. “Ohmygod this is so embarrassing.”

“I think that’s cute.” Varyyn shrugged. “So considering we’re on the same page... Wanna show me the town later?” He smiled encouragingly.

“Yes, I’d love to.” Diego smiled as well and after they exchanged numbers Diego came back to Ashton. “Ashton... I’m in love.” He bit his lip and sighed happily.

12 Days | Chapter 5.2

Two guys that lowkey hate each other are forced to walk in each other’s shoes in order to learn a lesson.

After a few slices of pizza, Tom was brought back to LA. The sun was already going down, an indication at how long he was gone, and probably how much trouble he'd get into once he was around friends again. He had been bracing himself as he walked up to Bella’s front door, for she had told him to meet her there. He had to come up with a damn good apology in about ten seconds.

Tom quickly stopped himself from knocking; Just before dropping him off, Ethan had showed him which keys were which. Obviously, the only pink key in the set was the one to Bella’s house. This couple seemed to really be into symbolism and the like. Tom shook his head at the thought as he unlocked the door and stepped inside.

To his surprise, he heard music blaring inside the premises. It was a song he recognized (Kiwi by Harry Styles), but it still threw him off guard. Tom took a slow step inside and closed the door behind him, confused. As he stepped further inside, he saw his lovely girlfriend jumping around the living room, her curled pink hair bouncing everywhere. She was with two other people, who were also jumping and head banging rhythmically. One was a guy with dark green hair and a manly beard and the other was a shorter girl with short, dark brown hair. The three of them turned when Tom walked into the living room, and they all cheered.

“C’mon, let's dance!” Bella said, holding her hands out as she continued doing just that.

“What?” he asked, laughing in disbelief.

“Dancing it out!” replied the guy with green hair. Sean, was it? Or, Jack, as he recalled Ethan telling him.

Tom shrugged and started moving to the beat of the upbeat pop song. He wasn't sure why this was happening, or if it happened regularly. Needless to say, this was not what he was expecting when he walked into this apartment.

After the song ended, proper greetings were in order. Sean came over and gave Tom a hug like he hadn't seen him in a long time. Then, Signe (“see-nuh” - he finally got the right pronunciation!) did the same. He had no idea how long these guys had been friends with Ethan. This whole switch thing was going to be a ‘figure it out as you go’ type of thing, wasn't it?

“I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner,” he began as he sat on the couch. “I had a meeting and a shoot I completely forgot about, and it took ages.”

“Hey, it's fine. Happens to all of us,” Sean told him. “We're spending the night here, anyway, so you can't avoid us forever!”

“You're stuck with us!” Signe jokingly added.

“Lit,” Tom replied with minor hesitation. Was that a thing Ethan would say? It felt like it.

“Anyway,” Bella spoke up, “me and Signe are gonna film a video right now, so…”

“I'll look after little E-tan,” Sean finished for her with a small laugh.

Tom did catch the small moment of tension. Bella was still upset about the previous day, and probably over the fact that her boyfriend basically ignored her all day. Of course she wouldn't want to be in the same room as him.

The two ladies stood and went into a room, probably Bella’s. They were making a video, were they? For YouTube, right? Did they all make videos in their own homes? Did they not have an office space like Mark? Tom had a lot to learn, and he didn't know how long he had.

“And then there were two,” he commented once he was alone with the Irish guy.

He chuckled. “Really, though, how are you? Heard you had a hard time the other day.”

Here we go again. This didn't feel any different to the interviews where Tom was asked the same damn questions over and over. He couldn't help the reluctance in his tone.

“I've had some anxiety lately, I'm fine, I took some time off work. It's nothing.”

“But you're taking time off work,” Sean repeated. “That doesn't seem like you.”

You’ve not the slightest clue, mate.

Tom shrugged, his stomach turning. This guy seemed to be seeing right through him. How long would it be until figured it out? “Yeah, I know. It's just… I think I'm overworking myself. I mean, I did crash and go mental for a bit. Definite sign I should slow down.”

Sean only nodded, watching him. “Yeah, it's always good to do that. You gotta take care of yourself, too. And just know, if you need someone to talk to, I'm here.”

It was something a lot of people said, but hearing it from this particular guy felt reassuring. It felt genuine, and Tom could only tell because he hadn't heard or felt something like that in a very long time. For the first time since the switch, he actually felt somewhat comfortable, and that's what made him say his next sentence.

“Ever since D23...” he began, and then he paused. How was he going to go about this without sounding insane? “I haven't really felt like myself.”

“How so?” Sean asked.

I literally switched bodies with your friend, but you would think I was mental if I said that.

“I… I don’t know. It’s probably nothing,” he said, waving it off.

“Maybe you’re burning yourself out?” Sean suggested. “I know that after a while of doing this, you get pretty exhausted.”

Was he talking about YouTube? Surely, it couldn’t be that hard. Tom was going to try his hand at it tomorrow, and he wasn’t all that worried. How hard could it possibly be?

“Yeah, it's probably that,” Tom said, now wanting to get away from this subject.

Thankfully, Sean did change topics, but it was still an awkward, uncomfortable one.

“Are things okay with you and Baller?”

Tom wanted to laugh at that nickname, but the mood still felt a little serious. He looked at Sean, who was watching him carefully. Almost like he was waiting for Tom to lash out or snap in some way. Again, he couldn’t help but wonder if it was always like this, or if it was just because of the switch.

“Uh…” he trailed off. “What did she say to you?”

“Nothing, she was just a little off when you showed up,” Sean said. “Maybe I’m reading too far into it. I think I’m quick to worry when it comes to Bella.”

Sounds like an ex-boyfriend. Or someone who had way too many feelings for someone else’s girlfriend. Upon his Wikipedia search, Tom learned that Bella and Sean (she prefers to call him Jack) were very close and there was plenty of speculation regarding their relationship. Maybe that was something he should have asked Ethan about before being dropped off.

“I don’t mean to overstep,” Sean continued, seeing the look on Tom’s face. “You know, you’re my friend and she’s my friend… I just wanna know if you guys are okay.”

Are they close enough to the point where Ethan can talk about something like the knife incident? Best to keep that to himself.

“We’re fine,” Tom finally answered. “Thank you, but everything’s fine with me and my girlfriend.”

Sean took the hint.

“You're dirty, disgusting But I can't get enough of your loving Boy I hate you, really hate you My momma said I shouldn't date you…”

The high, distinct voice was coming from the bathroom in Bella’s room, where the girl was currently showering. It was well after midnight, Sean and Signe had already gone to bed in the spare room, so the remaining couple followed suit. Tom was nervous about this, to say the least. He would have gone back Ethan’s apartment, but he didn't have a ride there, much less directions to get there.

He had been in the middle of typing out a message to Ethan asking for those directions, until he got distracted by Bella’s singing voice. He had never heard anything like it before, it was so captivating and pretty. He looked at the bathroom door, which was open just a crack, and he couldn't help but smile at the singing.

It moved him, he felt a million things at once. Just when he thought this woman couldn't get any better. She was beautiful, she was motivated and passionate. She was kinky as hell, a little weird, absolutely hilarious. She was also a fucking amazing singer. Very different from the quiet, anxious girl that interviewed Tom only a few days ago.

“You sweet talk me again, yo I don't wanna be friends, no Why am I such a fool When it comes to you A, B, C, D, E-E-E, F, U”

Once that song ended, Tom lost focus on what he had been doing before. He looked down at the phone in his hand, skimmed the text, and then deleted it. Maybe instead of just straight out asking for things, Tom would give Ethan something like a daily report. He was supposed to learn things on his own, right?

“Dude your girlfriend is really fucking talented,” he typed out. “And I'm gonna try to apologize to her about yesterday, I'll let you know how that goes.” Sent. “Oh and I don't know how to get back to your apartment.” Sent again. “Sean and Signe are really cool btw. Ok goodnight.”

Tom put the phone down just as he heard the shower turn off. All he could do was hope that Bella wouldn't try anything like she did the day before. He didn't want to have to reject her twice in a row. Besides, she had barely spoken to him since he arrived, and he really needed to fix that.

He looked around her room, taking in whatever he could in the short amount of time he had. Sure, he had to learn just about everything there is to know about Bella Santiago, but he wasn’t observing just because he had to. He took in the keyboard, obviously connecting it to the singing he heard in the bathroom. He saw the alarming amount of makeup brushes on top of the bureau and the piles of clothes on the floor. He actually had to Google what the large pink, purple, and blue flag hanging above her bed meant.

What was most interesting to him though, were the professional lights and the camera stored in the corner of the room. Was that all Bella needed to make her videos? Tom was overwhelmed at the amount of gadgets Ethan had in his own home. Honestly, it made him a bit more nervous to make videos of his own.

Eventually, the girl opened the door and turned off the bathroom light. Tom was pleasantly surprised to see her wearing a navy blue Midtown High t-shirt and black booty shorts. Her black and pink hair was damp, and she was running a towel through the long locks. But Tom was focused on the shirt. Bella really was a fan, not just an interviewer who pretended to know everything about the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Cool shirt,” he told her as he watched her approach the bed.

“I didn't know you were still here,” she replied, disregarding his words. “Thought you left.”

Here we go. Boyfriend time.

“Babe,” he started, sitting up on the mattress and looking directly at her. “Hey, I'm so sorry about yesterday. I'm so, so sorry. I don't know what happened…”

She didn't say anything at first. She busied herself by throwing the towel back into the bathroom and approaching the bed again. Then she returned the eye contact.

“Was it something I did? Brutal honesty.”

“No, of course not!”

“Ethan, come on!”

“I mean it!” He sat up on his knees, trying to get his point across. “You know I've been having a hard time lately. And I took it out on you at the literal worst time, and I'm so sorry.”

Bella looked down, picking at her fingernails. “What kind of a hard time?”

Tom tilted his head to the side. “I… you know. The panic attack.”

“Those last up to forty five minutes.”

“I'm not working right now, either,” he continued, knowing that work was a big thing for this guy. “I just haven't felt like… I don't feel like myself anymore.”

The pink haired girl now sat on the bed. “Do you wanna talk more about it?”

What else could he say? How could he not sound absolutely crazy?

“Maybe another time,” he said. “I just wanted to properly apologize for yesterday. I was out of line.”

“Okay,” Bella said, her tone changing to something more gentle and affectionate. She placed her hand on Tom’s. “Whenever you wanna talk, you know I'm here. If there's anyone who's going to understand the noise in your brain, it'll be me.”

Tom nodded, though he wasn't sure what she meant by noise. Did it have to do with the anxiety thing Ethan had mentioned?

He didn't really think about it that much because Bella leaned in to kiss him. Of course, he returned the gesture but quickly stopped at as he remembered the next point to bring up.

“By the way, is it okay if we… um…” he trailed off.

“What?” she asked as she sat up against the headboard.

Tom saw her shorts ride up, and for some reason he wasn't expecting to see pinkish scars going across her thighs. His heart nearly dropped at the sight, his mind threatening to go to the darkest place. However, he shook it off and continued his sentence.

“Can we… can we be… abstinent?” His voice went softer with every word, bracing himself for any backlash.

“How come?” Bella asked.

“Uh…”

“Oh!” she said in realization. “You're not feeling like yourself, not in the right mind. I get it. It's okay. We'll take as long as you need.”

Tom sighed in relief. That was so much easier than he expected. He smiled when Bella kissed him on the cheek.

“You're a really good girlfriend, you know that?” he told her as he took her hand.

“I just want you to be happy.”

Tom looked down at their intertwined fingers, mildly content. He couldn't help but think that Ethan was pretty lucky to have someone so understanding and empathetic. However, his mind went to the dark place when he saw the more pink scars on Bella’s wrist, eerily similar to the ones on her thighs. Clearly, he had missed a huge detail about this girl. He just wasn't sure if he was supposed to know about it, though.

Don Diablo Puts Out Horribly Tone Deaf Video Of 2020’s Worst Tragedies

UPDATE | Don Diablo has tweeted about the video apologizing to those who felt it was insensitive. As we previously mentioned, the intent of the video was positive, only poorly.

Everyone wants to do something good to ease others’ suffering and anxieties during this tumultuous time, but consideration should be given to how one goes about doing that. It’s hard to think that an entire team saw this video from Don Diablo, from storyboarding to concept to approval, and still decided to put it out.

In theory, the video has a good message. “WE are facing difficult times but WE are in this TOGETHER,” Don Diablo writes in the caption. “Let’s stay strong, support each other and create an even better FUTURE on OUR beautiful planet.” Not so bad, right?

Unfortunately, the content of the video undermines the message it promotes, depicting CGI recreations of some of the year’s worst disasters so far, including COVID-19 (depicting it in particular with a caption reading Wuhan, China, rather than the name of the virus, something most have labeled as being dangerous to inciting racial prejudice), the Iran airplane missile incident, and, most egregiously, the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant in February.

Don Diablo already deleted the tweet with the offending content, though it remains up on Instagram, where the replies are comparatively far more positive. Still, the replies on Twitter don’t disappear when you delete a tweet out of shame.

Plenty have already shared screen recordings of the video, as well, to make sure others are aware of what he tried to sweep under the rug. An apology would be a good first step, but it’s unclear if one is coming as keeping the Instagram video up, a social share with more positive reactions, implies he doesn’t think the content is wrong, just that he wants to hide the negativity it has unleashed in his replies.

We will update this article if and when an apology is issued. Until that time, see replies to the original tweet below.

My experience at the HVFF

This is going to be a very long post about my experience at the HVFF (sorry for my terrible English).

So, when we arrived, on our left, we saw Milo Ventimiglia and we almost fainted in front of him because we didn't expect to see him so close to the entrance lol Infact we were shocked when we saw John Barrowman few seconds later on our right too haha

Then my friends and I went immediately to Robin's stand and when we saw him we all freaked out -damn, he's so good looking and he seems like 28, not 39 :O- So we stood right next to him (not in the queue) and when he saw us he waved and smiled at us (his smile is so bright and cute, I almost melted).

Then I met Em, Julia (@robinllordtaylor) and Jen (@christopherpaulcolfers) and they're absolutely adorable ;-; I'm so happy that I've finally met them -I love you so much girls!

Then we all went to Robin's photo-op and when I saw him I asked him if we could hug and he said 'Of course, sweetie!' and he smiled again. So I picked up my bags and I showed my hand to my friend -because I was literally shaking- and Dickie (Robin's husband) saw me and he laughed -lol I was sooo embarrassed!

Then we went at the Gotham panel but I don't remember everything they said... But when the interviewer talked about the couples and mentioned Nygmobblepot everyone screamed out lout (video here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BUt6B2BDV_P/?taken-by=giulsholfer ) and Robin laughed and changed the subject and talked about Alfred's terrible love life lol

-Oh, Italy! Well, my Italian is terrible too. The only word I know is 'prego'. (he was so adorable when he said that with his accent hufodsiafshoi) Is it correct, right?

-Yes, it's correct! So... (I gave him my drawing, this one:)

-Do you want me to sign this pic?

-Ehm, no. This is a drawing for you!

-A draw-- what?! OH.MY.GOD!!! I thought it was a picture!! (he called his manager and told her that it was a drawing) Look at the details! Oh my God, it's so impressive! You're so talented.

And his manager: Oh my, it's better than the original!

And Robin: Yeah! Wait... (he looked at her pretending to be offended) thank you!? (and they laughed.)

Robin hold my hand and complimented my drawing again, and I gave him the t-shirt.

-I hope it fits.

Drew was right next to him so we decided to go all together and do a group pic. Me and Em had two cutouts of Cory

and when Drew saw them he yelled:

He took his mobile phone and asked us to pose with the cutouts and thEN HE TEXTED CORY IN FRONT OF US!!! HE LITERALLY SENT OUR PIC TO HIM -I'm still screaming-

So he said:

-Okay, I get it that Cory is your favorite BUT who's your second favorite?

And we -laughing-: YOUUUU!

He laughed too and said “You'll have my gratitude forever!”

When we told him that we are all friends and we're from Italy, Great Britain, Germany and Argentina he said: “You should start a girl band called 'The Cory Smith!'

Then we took like 20 pics (he's so sweet and funny istg and he gives the best hugs) and he even put Cory’s face on his lmao

And at some point a guy run towards us and photobombed us and we were like 'Hey you didn't pay for the pic!' but then we noticed that it was fREAKING BRANDON ROUTH! And my friend screamed: OH MY GOD! SUPERMAN PHOTOBOMBED US!

Then I went to Milo's stand and while we were queueing I was taking a looot of picture till he caught me. I smiled guilty and he laughed and said: Don't worry, take as many pics as you want!

When I arrived in front of him the conversation was this:

"Hi! Nice to meet you! Omg this is an ooooold picture!"

"Well, you're always beautiful."

"Aw, thank you! What's your name?"

"Giulia."

"Italia!"

"Yes! I'm from Venice."

"Bella! How do you spell Giulia?"

-I had a panic attack and I wasn't even able to spell my name lmfao-

Then he hugged me tight ;-;

The second day we went to Robin's stand in the morning. I talked about my social anxiety and that I was there just to meet him and he said that he has the same phobia and that he was so happy that I was able to face my fears to meet him.

But the thing that made my heart jumping was the first thing he said to me:

-Oh, hi! I was looking forward to seeing you again!

Then we went to his stand 3 more times and he hugged us every single one and I was like 'I'm so so so sorry, I don't want to bother you!'

And he was like: 'Awww noo! Don't worry! It's a pleasure, come here!”

And we took a pic with Cory’s cutout too lmao

We also saw Dickie again because he was bringing him bottles of water bc it was so hot, and a friend of mine tapped on his shoulder and when he turned around we paralized and waved at him. He smiled and looked genuinely happy and he said: “Hi! How are you?! Are you having fun?!” and omg he's so cute! He has a beautiful smile!

Then we went to the photo-op again and when Robin saw me he said:

-Hi Giulia! Nice to see you again! and he hugged me one more time.

Then we went to Sean (he had his black glasses... we HAD to take a pic with him lmao he's hot, I've to say that :P)

and while we were taking our pics with him, Drew yelled:

-Seannyyyyyyy??? I'm on someone's wallpaper! Are you on someone's wallpaper?

And Sean pretended to be sad: -No :((

And Drew with an high-pitched voice: Well, I'm on someone's wallpaper!

It was soooo funny! I love them so much!

Before leaving I asked Drew if I could hug him again and he almost lift me off the ground and he said to me and my friends: “Good luck with the girl band!!” (the one that he called 'The Cory Smith' the day before lol)

Then we waved at David and Jessica more than once and they're so cute too! David is so small and Jessica is breathtaking!

It was such a lovely experience and everyone was so nice to me. The cast of Gotham is a treasure and I had the best time with them and my amazing friends!

It was just this past year, 2018, that the Richmond, Virginia based THUNDERCHIEF landed on my musical radar thanks to my pal of many years, and all around great musician, Erik Larson (Backwoods Payback, Alabama Thunderpussy, Hail Hornet).

At the time, he had collaborated on a track with the wizard behind the THUNDERCHIEF curtain, Rik Surly, but we’ll delve into that a bit more later. An online friendship between Rik and I quickly developed, as often does in this modern age of cyber-realm communications and exchanges of information, culminating in our meeting in person at last year’s edition of The Maryland Doom Fest. Speaking of which, there is also more to come on that too shortly, concerning the upcoming 2019 event.

Anyway, Rik is indeed THE man behind the one-man, stand alone sonic crushing that is THUNDERCHIEF, and if you have not experienced that amalgamated bastardization of crusty sludge and industrial doom metal, you will before this article ends, rest assured. Yet, in the time I’ve gotten to know Rik, I have learned of his incredible musical past, including ties to some bands, and people, that utterly intrigues me. Plus, Rik is the living, breathing, type of aural underdog that I love, and love to champion… a true, dyed in the wool DIY’er.

So, without a lot more further elaborate expounding from me, let’s get down to the nitty gritty of why we are here: I was recently able to pick Rik’s brain about THUNDERCHIEF, his past, his present, his future, and much, much more and thus…

Riff Relevant Interviews: THUNDERCHIEF’s Rik Surly

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: Rik, a lot of folks are aware of your recent moves with Thunderchief of course but for the uninitiated, share with us a little of your musical background (bands, etc.)… what instruments do you play? Aren’t you originally a drummer?

RIK: Yes, I am a drummer that dabbles in strings. For this project, I am playing drums, bass, and guitar, plus creating my own noise/tape tracks.

I’ve been in bands since 1989, starting with a tech/death/thrash/trash band called Lycanthropy. After hilariously embarrassing myself, showing my young age by blowing an “audition” with a long-haired Neil Fallon, I then made a glorious move to Charlotte, where I joined The Furys with Bradzig from The Dixie Damned. I was doing road work too, and then I started The Irritations out of the remains of The Screamin’ Street Trash, who were being scouted by MCA Records. Of course this was when anything that looked or sounded “punk” was being signed. So we blew that real good.

Then I hitchhiked to Dallas with my dog and drums. I wrote articles for a few Texas ‘zines while looking for a band. I was at Jim Heath’s one day, saw 2 greasers smoking weed and beers across the street from Church Of Sub-Genius. We formed a gritty 3 piece rockabilly trio called Mean Mean Man & The Brass Knuckle Band. Tour, tour, tour – then I had the fortunate experience of having El Duce call me to book/play/drive/babysit his solo tour. When he went to jail, I joined The Spo-Its (notorious sexploitation noise outfit, like Crash Worship, but meaner; known to Jerry Springer as “Shock Rock”), then when he got out of jail, I did The Mentors’ 20th Anniversary Tour.

When that imploded, I hit Atlanta. The hot band in ’96-’98 was Dick Delicious & The Tasty Testicles, so I played with them, he (Dick D.) played with The Spo-Its, and we eventually got Kirk from Buzzoven and Robert Williams of Capt. Beefheart to join in.

Ok….now we go to Richmond, VA circa 2001 where I formed The Deviltones, we did that for about 5 years. This included Demonboy from Texas Terri & The Stiff Ones and Pustulus of GWAR (known as B.)

Being surrounded by Richmond musicians during this time was very inspiring, so many of us were on the edge of breaking thru to the masses.

The Deviltones had a few successes, but we fought constantly, but were still in somewhat of a demand. This is where I had the vision of THUNDERCHIEF – one man, a guitar, with a bunch of amps, drowning out the chaos that surrounded me. When the “big” expensive Deviltones record came out on 3 labels worldwide, we collapsed. We didn’t tour, the band member’s wives were the shittiest they could have been, and my only out was Thunderchief.

Then I diddled a bit live with Thunderchief and an I-pod, which, to me, was the anti-christ. Bobby from The Undead was really my inspiration for a 1-man band – he used to tour as The Undead with a mixtape of his backing tracks, and he would sing, just him and a tape. Very bad, but inspiring. I then spent 7 years as a hired gun/tour manager/tour accountant for several national acts. Then I did it…. I stopped all other ventures in 2013 to focus on Thunderchief, and here we are.

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: What was the catalyst that initially got you interested in music – as far as a particular band, album, or concert?

RIK: I have a pic of me when I was 3 years old, jamming to Elton John’s ”Saturday Night’s Alright” with big-ass headphones and my Mickey mouse guitar. Later, that guitar turned into a KISS guitar, and I was hooked. My sister took me to see KISS in ‘78, we saw the “real” Beach Boys, Stones, Rod Stewart. My sisters were at Cal Jam ’74, so I was always interested in what they were doing with music. I played their records so much, my dad got me a K-Mart record player. Then the next day, he came home with KISS “Rock ‘N Roll Over”. Everyday I would air guitar, or sing along with a brush in my hand, or both at the same time… music was, and has been, my life since I can remember. Hell, I still have those KISS records he bought me.

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: And yet another musician names KISS as their gateway band! Being the lone, sole member of Thunderchief, I assume this has its Pros & Cons. Care to elaborate on what any of either might be?

RIK:

Pros –

No band mates.

Can do anything I want. Literally.

No schedule conflicts/family issues

Rehearse everyday

Cons –

No band mates.

Booking/recording/touring is much harder

Promotion is difficult for 1 person

Songwriting becomes more lengthy

*People do not take solo acts seriously*

I don’t think anything can take the place of a “band”, but, if the people you work with are not on the same page, it wastes all of your damn years of creating music. I decided to take a chance with a solo project, and honestly, I’ve done as well solo, as I did with the baggage. I don’t want to sound like a dick, but really, I have true recollections man, and even recent tours have proven that sometimes when you get a band with 4-5 dudes with issues, you get eggroll.

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: What prompted you to pursue a project as its singular member like this?

RIK: Thunderchief started as a cartoon of amps and a little dude screaming. I realized that could be me, if only I knew how to play a guitar. I have skater hands, from breaking and dislocating shit when I was younger, so I could never really articulate my fingers to fret properly. I can beat the hell out of drums, Bonham-style, but can’t play power chords. So when the 3, 4, 5-man band thing was clearly not working for me, I had to keep on keeping on… many of those guys I played with just gave up music, but I couldn’t do that, I had to forge my way somehow. I can tour when I want, take my dog, fuck off in Nebraska for a while, whatever I want, instead of waiting for my bandmate’s wife to tell us we can’t go to Europe, ha ha!

The idea is of purity and as little effects as possible. Knowing that very band does not “master” every song, I decided I didn’t care about being the absolute best – don’t get me wrong, I like it to be more than good, but no band is perfect. Some keep overdubbing and adding on tracks to make a record, like “Dopesmoker”, or some have 1 good song and 9 that you don’t want to listen to… Thunderchief is different in that aspect, if it’s not perfect, it’s perfect.

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: Admittedly, I’m not a very tech adept kind of guy… it’s all kind of Greek to me, ha! That said, break things down for us as to how Thunderchief works, in the aspect of you being it’s sole member/player?

What type of equipment or set up do you use, either in studio or live?

RIK: I use the same equipment and settings in the studio, on stage, or at rehearsal. Currently, I have a guitar stack and bass stack with a drive pedal by Sean Ryan Customs, and a huge PA to match. Drums thru the PA, guitar split to 2 amps, and some yelling, you got Thunderchief. I haven’t introduced any effects into the mix, the original idea was to be as straight forward as possible regarding tone. The drums have to be pushed thru the PA from an iPod, but they’re not programmed, they are human.

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: Speaking of human, how does a drummer like Erik Larson play with you on the road without actually playing with you live on the road? (Readers, ICYMI – Rik and current Backwoods Payback drummer Erik Larson collaborated on a crushing track earlier this year titled “Stone House”… it’s streaming below)

RIK: I box him up in the back so my dog can sit up front, nobody knows he’s actually there – we wrap his hair in a man-bun!

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: LMAO!! Being based in Richmond, VA., a hotbed for great music over the years, what do you attribute to RVA’s having such a richly fertile, long running underground music scene? Care to name-drop any current bands from that scene that you like or think readers should check out?

RIK: I am not sure what it is about Richmond, maybe it’s the ancient Powhatan curse of perseverance. There has been so many great bands to surface from here, and it continues with bands like Book Of Wyrms, Desert Altar, Lair, and many more. The one thing I have noticed from living in Richmond twice within 20 years, is that the music is still here. There is a good support structure here, and everybody is quite genuine in their craft, it’s nice.

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: What is currently going on with Thunderchief… and what plans loom on the horizon? And of course, we must touch upon Thunderchief being part of The Maryland Doom Fest 2019’s roster of confirmed bands!

RIK: Man, I have some plans! Of course, being only 1 person hinders a lot of planning, and I rely on fans and friends to help make booking and touring work. Now, I’m writing new material for an album, like I’ve said many times before, haha… but I still have a few unreleased tracks. Booking for 2019 has been a very pleasant experience, I’ll be hitting the region a bit heavier than in the past, tours in the works, and some killer festival dates to be psyched about. And yes, plans do now include playing MDDF V.

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: And what are your expectations / hopes with this appearance at the famed Maryland Doom Fest? For the uninitiated, what can observers expect from a Thunderchief live show, be it on the road or at MDDF specifically?

RIK: It’s an honor to be a part of the bad-ass MD Doom Fest. I will be on tour at that time, my goal is to play with some, if not most, of the MDDF bands in others cities. I hope to see every band I can by not talking so damn much, I expect it to sell out! I love Frederick, I guess I’ll have to pull out the big guns for that show. Fans will definitely be encouraged to wear earplugs, get stoned and forget the boundaries of the music… Thunderchief isn’t out to reinvent the wheel, or do noodly solos and add rad effects. The idea is to play with a very organic tone, with a little push, and no gimmicks, but I might throw in a surprise for the Fest. [You can find these upcoming Thunderchief live dates below! – Pat]

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: Knowing some of your background, I know you have been at this for several decades now… what keeps you so personally invested and still “at it” after all this time”? Care to share some sage advice, insight or warnings for anyone that may just be starting out?

RIK: Man this is all I know – I don’t have kids and all that normal stuff, I’m basically the same 13 year old practicing to [John] Bonham and Motley Crue, just doing it differently. My love for music and everything that comes with it hasn’t diminished yet, I doubt it will. All of my past colleagues have been done for a long time, except 1 ex-bandmate, who plays with a national act now. I don’t want to do anything else man, I just wanna rock out ’til dawn with a spliff and a cool one. Not much bothers me, but when I’m not playing shows, I always remember The Subhumans lyric – “How’s it going there? It’s Not going at all, We’ve got no more gigs”. Probably the most depressing part of it all for me. That, and post-tour blues.

I think I’m the one who should be asking for advice, insights and warnings! I’m not sure of what to say here, but I can help you with all of your problems, just send me $1 per problem, and consider it done!

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: Ha! You and I have talked privately about the hardships that (independent) musicians / bands / artists face in today’s current music scene… what are some of the biggest that you have encountered?

RIK: Well, the current “industry” changes don’t really allow for past methods to work for bands – for example, we give away our music for free even more so than we used to. We work hard, we have extremely high overhead, we do all of these things for art, to be given away on YouTube or whatever, which is fine, but in contrast, years ago, we were cool with people dubbing tapes of our music, but we were gaining so much more from that form of free distribution. That’s one major change I’ve seen that hasn’t really helped out artists.

One particular conversation you and I had was… what does a band do if they want to release a single with a B-side?

Why do we have to continue to write and release full length albums in order to be seen, reviewed or taken seriously? I think if there were an avenue for this, we would see bands releasing much more material. Not every band has the desire to release album after album, without EP’s and singles, right? Maybe I’m just old, but that’s how I still buy music I want. Sometimes 3-4 songs are plenty when I’m in my car, and every record/tape/CD in my collection is not a full length, you know?

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: Hypothetically, if there was one thing you could change or improve, what would it be and how might you go about it?

RIK: I guess I would like to see more booking agents. They do such a huge service for independent touring bands. If bands could spend more time writing and touring, rather than Facebooking and emailing all night, there would be more productivity in regards to the artist’s future.

You know, if a saucy agent would act as a “package promoter”, like, promote package tours for small indie bands (not just his/her friends’ bands), the venues would only need to find those one or two stellar local bands to play with the package they booked. Everyone’s headache goes away, the venue makes bar and food $$, and bands are playing to more people. But the flip-side is, some locals hold out for only “touring acts” – WTF? We are all touring acts!

I can honestly say, I don’t know how to suggest any changes, but what I’ve seen at a small handful of venues does not make sense for the establishment, or the artists. It’s reminiscent of the old days, like at the Electric Banana in Pittsburgh. If anyone reading this emails me with an Electric Banana story, I’ll send them free junk!

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: Uh-oh, a challenge! About your aforementioned background, I have a question that’s solely for my own curiosity: I recently read that at one point, you were a roadie for a band I love and want to know more about your experiences with – Nuclear Assault!

What period of time was that and if you don’t mind, care to share one of your more memorable recollections from then?

RIK: Oh man, the times! That was the ’92 Agnostic Front / Nuclear Assault tour. I was at a show one night, working for Polygram Records (age card shown) when Danny [Lilker] asked me to hold his bass. Next thing I knew, I was 20 dates deep, their new guitarist and I started the same day. As much fun as Nuclear Assault was, and everything they were up to, I was in awe of Agnostic Front. It was my first AF experience, and I was hooked. NA was great, definitely a “slam a beer and go” philosophy. Lots of beer, pot, and thrashing about. It felt like a summer camp hanging with those guys.

That was a great tour seeing both sides of hardcore and thrash. I did a lot of tech work for those years. I landed in Dallas in ‘95 and got the ultimate gig…catering for Motorhead/Belladonna club tour. I think there are more “experiences” on that tour than most others, besides Buzzoven, Cramps, Napalm Death, Rev. Horton Heat, Mentors, etc. were all after that. I was so young and in my own world, I don’t know if I appreciated what I was involved in, I took it for granted because that’s all I knew at the time.

So many stories… I remember one venue cancelled the show because Roger was walking around with his shirt off after soundcheck, saw his chest tattoo, and cancelled the show in the name of Catholicism!

Another quickie… I remember Belladonna had a young female tour manager, she was very business, very tough, but a doll behind the curtains. She would make sure to go to as many people as possible and say “Belladonna prohibits any photos”. After hearing that for so long I asked if anyone had tried to take a picture to make her say that, she said “no” (inner laughter).

At that age, talking to Danny and Freddie (Madball) convinced me to back off of helping others be successful and focus on my own music. So I did, maybe not the best choice but I did!

RIFF RELEVANT [Pat]: Outside of music, what type of things (hobbies, extracurricular things, etc.) do you enjoy doing in your personal life?

RIK: I still travel to skate, I ride BMX less than a mile from my house, I’m a horticulturin’ fool, I grow hot chile varieties and pickling cucumbers, of course hanging with my best girl Sasha and trusty Roadhound Kraut. Music has always been sort of a hobby, but like a permanent hobby that you do everyday for too many hours. Rites of Passage

Well the timing was just unlucky which sucks but that's just part of the game, i'm glad i got to finally try out a tumblr game i just wish it lasted longer!

ANNA: we rarely talked at all, sorry that you had to go so early! ELMO: I unfortunately never got to meet you but Laurel is a queen so I’m sad we didn’t start on the same tribes! <ss type="sad">:(</ss> MADISON: Hi Sean! I’m sure you’re an absolutely lovely person, but we never got to know each other in this game so I don’t have much to say to you. I hope you’re doing well! STEPHEN: Buddy you got really unlucky round one and although we didn't talk a ton I could tell you were a nice guy

It was fun, I was in an alliance and I didn’t really have enemies. Just wish I could’ve been there to submit my Idol!

ANNA: you are a very sweet young lady but again like sean, we really didn’t talk so I didn’t see us working well in the future. I hope you play more games! ELMO: Another person I sadly didn’t get to meet this game. What I will say is that your intro was really funny and made me really want to talk to you and get to know you! MADISON: Again, I’m sure you’re LOVELY, but we never got to know each other in this game so I don’t have a lot to say. STEPHEN: Oh Ashlyn, you really got the short end of the stick this game, you trusted me almost immediately but that just rang alarm bells for me, I was worried you would be unpredictable or a liability. I really hope we play in a game together again and get to know each other properly.

My time in this game was truly amazing! Out of the games I’m in, I definitely think this was my favorite. I connected with new people and met up with some very close friends. Sad that the Magic ended a little too early but I’m glad the journey continues for the rest!:)

ANNA: so you’re someone I feel realllly bad about voting out, you were just super genuine and nice to me and I wish we could have continued our relationship and got to know eachother better. BUT it was you or Stephen and I had to go with you instead of him. I’m sorry!! ELMO: THIS IS LITERALLY INDONESIA 2.0, UGH! We were so well positioned on the OG tribes, only to get screwed by swap AGAIN! I was so happy when I saw you on the cast because I knew that you were someone who would have my back 100% and would be someone I could talk to about pretty much anything. You’re extremely sociable person and I’m really thankful I got to experience another game with you even though the experience was cut way too short <ss type="sad">:(</ss>. Omg guysssss so in first survivor game I was 10th and the second I was 9th, so I’m bitter y’all didn’t let me get 8th. However- being a prejury flop was something I foresaw for myself one day or another, and I’m happy it happened now and I got to see this cast evolve and play :) It was fun while it lasted and congrats to everyone that achieved whatever it may be they desired! :)

ANNA: oh Lukas…. I was soooo hopeful that we could work together and then it just didn’t work. We weren’t really communicating very well and we were just honestly very messy together lmao You are a really fun person and I hope we can play again together soon!! ELMO: I WAS SO DAMN EXCITED TO MEET YOU <ss type="sad">:(</ss> but then we were never on a tribe together and that sucked ass! You were so great to watch when you played Alola, I definitely feel like we would have worked together if we had the chance <ss type="sad">:(</ss> MADISON: I.Love.You.So.Fucking.Much!You’re another person I was really sad to vote out but I feel like if I hadn’t I wouldn’t be here. You’re SUCH a good player and I wanted to work with you but I felt like our relationship was too unpredictable by the time I had a chance to vote you out. Regardless you’re one of my favorite people in this community even though we don’t talk much. I hope to be as iconic as you one day. If you think I’m ugly vote me out! STEPHEN: We started out this game in a slightly flimsy alliance and I was actually really excited to work with you. Although this is the third game we played together I never felt we really connected or got to know each other properly. Or maybe we did and you just don’t like me. Either way I look forward to being on a new reunion chat with you.

ANNA: Girl we realllllly never talked, on OG Zonko we got to know each other a little bit and you were just busy with school which i totally get! It’s hard to juggle an org and schoolwork so I feel for you! I hope all your classes went well and I look forward to playing with you in the future because you were great in challenges, I just think we didn’t get to talk all the time because of school! ELMO: Having conversations with you felt super natural and in my opinion talking to you was really refreshing especially since other people were often “very game mode” and 99% of our talks were just about life! You are kind and someone who was curious of getting to know other people which is a trait I really appreciate in these ORG games. I hope that you aced your exams! <ss type="smile">:)</ss> MADISON: We didn’t talk at all because we were both inactive af when we had a chance to! Regardless I’m sure you’re a QUEEN and I wish I had more to say to you right now. Woo! STEPHEN: UTR queen unfortunately it just didn’t work with this group. I would've loved to save you but in this game there were a lot of strong players, and instead of all taking each other out we actually combined for a moment to get out some utr/inacts and as a player I jumped on that opportunity because the alternative was extremely dangerous.

I really enjoyed me time. The scav hunt was the best part. It was a kinda simple challenge but you had to search irl which made it funner. Overall I had a great game and can't wait to see what's next

ANNA: Eeeeep. We legit didn’t talk to each other once. You didn’t message me, I didn’t message you. We came together when you were sick according to people so that stinks. I don’t know what happened with us we just did not communicate or talk to each other at all which is such a shame. ELMO: It’s super rare that I connect with someone as fast as I connected with you. I actually adore you. You’re also the smartest and nicest 13 year old I think I’ve ever met! You’re were so easy to talk and I always had a blast when we did talk no matter if it was game talk or talk about our personal lives. I was very sad to hear when you had to leave the game because at the time you were probably the only person who I trusted 100%. It was such a pleasure getting to know you Kevin and I hope that everything is going amazing IRL. Ily king & i hope we can stay friends! <ss type="heart">(heart)</ss> MADISON: A charitable king. This game was a ton of fun and I had a blast being hosted by two great people. Anything HP related is bound to be fun. It just sucked that I got taken out by sneaky snakes ;)

ANNA: Here we go… I really did love working with you on swap Rosemerta, you are a smart Slytherin who just had to go when you did. The whole thing where you tried to pin Olivia and I against each other happened and I realized just how much I really needed to vote you out. We worked together really well, got Sammy out and voted together on our tribe. I really loved talking to you and even though we turned on each other at the end I hope there are no hard feelings because you were someone I trusted the most in this game. ELMO: First of all, I’m so sorry how I handled your boot. I should have been straight up and tell what I was doing and I probably hurt you greatly which was never my intention. I was glad there were no grudges held from Indonesia because I was legitimately worried about that. Believe it or not, you weren’t the vote I preferred to do that round but it would have been extremely hard to gather votes to save you due to people who I trusted the most wanting you out. Overall, you’re a swell, super witty and so passionate dude and I’m glad we got to play together again! <ss type="smile">:)</ss> MADISON: Hehe hi. I actually have no idea how you feel about me right now so I have no idea what to address in my ROP for you. First of all I want to say thank you for saving my ass early in the game while I was in New York and couldn’t be active. Voting you out later was one of the hardest votes this game for me, but I also think it was one of my best votes. If you had stayed, the game would’ve gone...SO differently and I truly believe you could’ve won the game. You play SO hard and I’m so impressed by your game every time I play with you. I’m sorry I’ve voted you out twice now. I promise I love you. STEPHEN: I said before I rarely felt powerless in this game but in your round I came very close. When I first heard you were a target my first instinct was to save you, but as I look further ahead I realised voting you out was always going to be a necessary evil and doing it then would open up alliances that wouldn't have been possible if I had saved you. I don’t regret voting you out, but I regret that you were so betrayed by it.

This game was one where I had a surprisingly small amount of anxiety about it and I’ll always remember it with a fondness. I couldn’t even be super depressed about being voted out because this cast is honestly so great and lovable. I started this game with a lot of people that are close friends of mine: Lukas, Joanna, Sammy, Madison, Ashlyn, Stephen. And playing with them was amazing (albeit not Lukas or Ashlyn rip). But my favorite part was meeting and befriending Elmo, the alexes, ruthie, and Anna and everyone else. Thanks to the hosts for being kickass and cute and good luck to everyone. Long live all the kamikaze hoes.

ANNA: You honestly scared the pooooo out of me! You had great relationships with people and I didn’t feel like I was high up on your list of people you would save. So with that thought in my head I had to go with the move when it was presented to me. Girl, I feel like if we were on OG tribes together and had more time to get to know each other, we would have been UNSTOPPABLE together. Sadly, we just didn’t have the time to do that because we only met at merge which obviously meant we had different ties to different people and it just didn’t work out! ELMO: (DANCING) QUEEEEEEEN (abba reference i promised you woo, i’m sorry this was a flop reference!!) The thing I most appreciate about you is that you want to make other people feel great and you’re very caring friend and individual. You’re also one of the best players I’ve ever played with and I was so honored to be your close ally in this game. It was SO irritating when you were voted out but I understand why because if you were kept in the game we would have obliterated the rest of the game TBH! ok I’m rambling, I‘m sorry! You’re all around amazing person, player and human being and I’m really happy to call you a good friend. I can’t wait to talk more after this game is over because I know that we’ll be great friends! :’) ily! Best of luck in Orre, Give ‘em hell! MADISON: When are we not going to vote each other out of a game? I think we’re tied now? 2-2? Can it end please? Olivia your game is so impressive every time you play. Like you just have to show up and you’re immediately running the game. Unfortunately that means if I want to get farther in the game I have to vote you out! I’m so done! I also don’t know what you want to hear from me here so I’m just gonna say I love you and I hope you’re not mad at me. STEPHEN: Olivia you and me going at it is basically an international holiday now and I think it comes down not to a dislike of each other but a respect of each others gameplay. But I would like to say that this round was the turning point for my game and a lot of others, but instead of being a round of betrayal like other turning points this is when my new alliances and old ones proved our loyalty to each other and made a big move together. You should always be proud of the game you played because you are awesome at this game, and it took voting out a big player like you to get this game started in earnest.

I’ve made some mistakes in this game, I’ll be the first to admit that. But I had fun making those mistakes and playing with everyone. Hell, I even had fun being screwed over. The fourth time, maybe not so much, but the point is I really enjoyed playing this game. I am not the type of person to wallow in the past, so I do my best to not be salty, and for the most part I’m not. If I had to opportunity to go back and change some things, I don’t think I would have. I think that it is important to learn from your mistakes, and to learn from them is to make them. So catch me in flops, not making a total fool out of myself. But thank you all for this wild ride, and as much as I wish I wasn’t on the jury, I’m glad that I made it this far.

ANNA: GIIIIRRRLL we had a bumpy road my friend. I’m sorry for lying to you so much but I just had to do that in order for the votes to go through. I hope you understand that nothing I did was personal and all just for game purposes. You are one of the people in this game that I am so happy I got to meet and play with even though we ended on opposite sides. I think after Olivia went you saw that as me lying to you and our relationship wasn’t fixable in the game anymore. I was really close to Stephen all game and you seemed to just want to go for him so that's one of the reasons we couldn’t work together very well. I think you are a tough competitor and very scary when you’re angry haha but I enjoyed getting to know you through this game! ELMO: You were really friendly and positive throughout the season which I really appreciated. Out of everyone, I feel like you were the most robbed and definitely should have made it farther than you did. I’m fairly sure that if Ruthie didn’t have the steal a vote -advantage, you would have survived. I was so GUTTED when you left because I wanted to reach finals with you so bad, ugh. Anyway, we bonded pretty fast on some common interests such as criminal minds and criminal cases. I feel like we are both really similar people which probably helped us connect early on. Also, you were probably the most honest person from the entire cast so it was super easy talking to you and it felt really natural working with you! I hope you destroyed that APUSH exam! GL on Bedarra Island! <ss type="heart">(heart)</ss> MADISON: GOD A QUEEN. Your vote was the only one I was shook by all game. I knew the vote wasn’t going as I was told after everything, but I didn’t know it would be you. You honestly deserved better like you’re one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and you were robbed! I don’t think you’re mad at me? I hope you’re not? I really hope we can be friends after this season because you’re an amazing person. STEPHEN: Joanna I truly feel that you werent against me the entire game, that after Sammys vote out you were willing to work with us. But I had better options and I did feel bad that I never gave you some kinda hope but in the end loyalty to my alliance won out.

I had a wonderful time this season, I enjoyed meeting new friends, reconnecting with old ones and re enjoying my love for Harry Potter. I have no idea what’s going to happen but it will be fun to watch it play out.

ANNA: RUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHIIIIEEEEEEEEEE, I love you. Ugh, I love you. So when we were on OG Zonko, that first challenge was the video scavenger hunt one and we had a conversation where I opened up to you about my insecurities and how nice it is to just be able to post silly video where I DON’T look pretty and be okay with it. That conversation we had stuck with me to this day and I can’t thank you enough for talking to me and understanding. After that I knew we would be allies and work well together. You are one of the sweetest, honest, genuine human beings I have honestly ever met in my life. It was an HONOR allying you and working together in this game. We really didn’t have to talk 24/7 I just think we always knew in the back of our heads that we had each others backs. I honestly never wanted to go for you, obviously, and I didn’t get the vibe that you wanted me out either. I am so happy I met you Ruthie and I’m so sorry that you left the way you did! Hufflepuffs forever ♡♡♡ ELMO: You were someone who I was really scared of as a player because immediately when we began talking I was like “how is she so friendly and nice!” But tbh that also instantly made me want to talk to you and work with you, and I’m glad we worked for a little bit, even if it was short lived. You were one of the most convincing players this entire season and both times when you voted differently than you said (F8 and F6) I was a bit shook at how convinced I was that you were going to vote the way you said you would. You were a force to be reckoned with in this game and I hope that you’re proud of the game you played. I’m sorry that I didn’t go to rocks for you. I hope that you understand that the risks outweighed the rewards in my position. Regardless of our shaky game relationship, getting to know you was awesome and I’m thankful of all of our talks! <ss type="heart">(heart)</ss> MADISON: ANOTHER QUEEN! I was literally ready to go to rocks to keep you in this game I hope you know. I knew you were the biggest threat to win, but I also knew if I had a remote chance of making it to the end I wanted it to be against someone who deserved it. I’m SO sad you voted Elmo because I don’t know that he would’ve flipped against you in the revote if you hadn’t. I really just wanted to use this to make sure you know I didn’t just vote for Anna in some desperate attempt to get your jury vote if I make it to the end. And to tell you I love you. That’s all. STEPHEN: Another turning point in the game and god was it intense. First off I want to say sorry for not being at that tribal I hope you dont feel any disrespect or anything because in my eyes you were the biggest ftc threat (lot of debate about this). You played an awesome game and I was so happy to be a part of it, a part of me does wonder if that vote could have waited till f5 but then I think Alex would have still made a move just without me.

Can't complain about getting voted out for being a massive threat, right? This was a hell of a group to play against, and I'm proud that for the first time I fought right to the bitter end rather than throw in the towel when it got tough. Mischief managed!

ANNA: Hi friend!! We worked very closely this whole game and I really am glad I got to know you!! I think after the Ruthie thing I kind of closed off to you because I was hearing so much, I mean I talked to you about it and I think if roles were reversed you would have done the same thing. I feel like that immunity was you or me, I win you go home, you win I go home. Maybe I’m wrong but that was just my feeling. I couldn’t not vote you out that round because you always beat me in comps and I feel like I need to win the rest of them to get to FTC. That’s me being 100000% honest. Regardless, we worked VERY well together before the Ruthie vote and you were someone I wanted to go all the way to the end with. We connected on Day 1 and continued a friendship and a working relationship in this game together up until Ruthie. I hope you do understand why I voted you out and I hope we can play together again because gosh dang it you are an INCREDIBLE player. You are great socially, strategically and physically. Thanks for dealing with all my paranoia and being a great ally this game! ELMO: As a person you’re kinda blunt which is something I really like about you You’re also very intelligent which is apparent from the way you played the game. At around f7 I made a confessional about how when people think of a survivor winner they think of a person like you: You’re charismatic, you never fail to make a person smile and you’re sound strategically! All of these qualities make you an awesome person but also a huge threat in the game. You were also a beast in these challenges. I hope that you get player of the season because out of everyone, I think that you deserve it the most. You sir, played a hell of a game! I think I took a risk when I voted you out and you brought up a good point that if you stay, I’ll likely reach the FTC. Ty for our convos and for being a good sport the whole season! MADISON: Where do I even START. You really tried your best last round to stick around and honestly it almost worked on me! But you can’t honestly tell me you were trying to fight THAT hard to stay only to throw final immunity and get voted out. And if you can then...why? I do not understand. You and Olivia were the biggest power players this whole game and if you weren’t in the jury right now you’d probably be winning the game. That being said I absolutely LOVED playing with you. I think our relationship was like perfectly symbiotic? We weren’t really close or particularly loyal to each other but we knew we had to use each other to get farther. I let you take the hit for most of the moves and paint the target on your back while (with the exception of Ruthie’s vote out) I was getting what I wanted. So hella thanks for that. I learned so much in this game from watching you play and I really hope we can be friends after this game because you’re fucking hilarious. STEPHEN: Oh Alex, from day one I felt we really connected and both were strategic thinkers, and from day one I knew I wanted to go far with you….only to vote you out pre-ftc. You told me last round our games were very similar, but thats not a good thing especially when you add on your charisma and challenge ability. I really hope that last round wasn’t too bitter for you because I think without that vote you would have won.
