  the young princess was still getting used to the castle- so vast and unfamiliar, and it made it that much more intimidating for her. nevermind how long it’s been, there’s no doubt it was more than just her home- the castle had changed over the years.   but if she could focus on one thing at the time, she’ll be able to keep her head on her shoulders. at least, for a little while.

  shoe-clad hooves clicked loudly in the empty halls as she wandered them like a ghost, directionless. luna didn’t know what she was doing outside of her room, all she knew is that she was restless. there was nothing much for her to do there aside from read or aid in dreams, and even the latter took too much energy from her to do comfortably. so her legs decided for her.   and that, to no one’s surprise, had wound up getting her lost. her legs were already tired, and luna had a sneaking suspicion that she’s passed that particular painting twice now.

    her ears pinned back flat as she let out a tired groan. nothing made sense here, and she was starting to lose her patience with it. but then, her ears perk back up as she heard a separate set of hoofsteps approach, moving her direction.   pretty teal eyes look up to watch the other as they passed through. this was going to be her only chance, but her throat tightened up, her voice stuck in it. no! she refused, and with brows furrowed, eyes set upon the other with an almost intense gaze as she cleared her throat.

“  W-We require assistance!  ”  she winced at the sudden loudness of her voice in the previously quiet room, but surely the other pony could not ignore the plea of royalty, right? she silently prayed that it was enough.

volume V thoughts bc once again fusebox has got me intrigued

first of all omg wtf

I usually end up reading a few spoilers before I play bc I'm bored at work but don't wanna play the volume until I get back but I had such a busy day at work I didn't do that and wow ok I gotta avoid spoilers more often I was shook

so excess baggage was okay. like yeah makes sense we want the couples to be tense again before voting the couple superlatives thing, but also such a throwaway. (and also I talked about this in my post about last volume, but we have so many challenges in a row!! why)

since my MC did initially flirt with Oakley a lot more than Jin, I do think it's funny Oakley talks about how cool MC's secret is (like it's annoying fs but also something I've seen happen on love island to create small drama but then ultimately it's just talk so it's nice to have that happen here).

Also i was worried Oakley was gonna turn on us or flirt with us and abandon Emel, so I'm very glad he was just asking for advice. (I'm a big Oakley and Emel fan, what can I say?) I'd be okay if that led into a different storyline where you could pursue Oakley later, but with how fusebox has been making the seasons lately, once you pick you've made your choice and I do miss in for example s2 where even if you don't pick Lurik when they first become available you have a chance the next recoupling and it feels like it changes your route.

Jack is still mad at MC??

Couples game was fun. I wish fusebox formatted it so you discuss with your partner and then make a choice before everyone revealed their answers instead of people talking and explaining before the player picks their answer. Like we know the characters already, just let me pick and we can see who agrees.

Oakley's evening wear outfit 😍 best dressed boy fs

I of course could never bear to see Oakley and Emel go, but I surprisingly actually missed Sophie and Jack as soon as they left but like in a me missing Allegra and Miles/Jasper when they left. Like yeah they were irritating but they brought drama and I understand where Allegra/Sophie is coming from (and I support women's wrongs lol)

Jin going through his main character of S6 arc??? No but fr I can't imagine why the public would vote him out so he's either hiding something that's gonna come out when he gets back or he was voted most popular and is gonna come back soon. I hope it's not casa because (1) that already happened in s6 and (2) I want the chance to flirt around with new characters in casa lol. I've seen a few theories around and I have no idea which is true but if I could throw in another idea which is post casa, MC is finally with a bombshell, Claudia/Theo, or a casa boy and things seem good but Jin and Luna show up together as returning islanders and MC has to choose between Jin and her current LI.

It's so interesting for drama, like ik I'm here for it. But a lot of people like loyal routes so I hope yall are doing okay

I was like half hoping we could walk out with him even though of course fusebox isn't giving us that option but like I wish he said something like hey you just got here, enjoy your time at the Villa and I'll wait out there for you no matter what happens. just to explain why MC wouldn't leave. that being said, their goodbye was so sweet.

One thing that's different in the game than the show is the number of islanders present at once, which makes sense its hard to keep track of all of them (though they've done it before in s2), and it just is weird bc now the people in the Villa are MC (single), Claudia and Theo (who don't like each other), and Emel and Oakley (only one couple).

despite my complaint about the challenge thing this is great pacing/timing for a new islander. it's just a shame the screwed over Tyler coming in so soon after MC. I can't remember if I already wrote this in my last post but I almost wish he came in with MC and got a better chance.

Finished Violetta season 3

Idk how to feel now that i have no content left to watch (outside of the reunion special and movie that I consider non-canon), this is my comfort show and to have it gone kinda sucks

I guess some thoughts on season 3 as a whole:

Still my least favorite season, but it wasn't bad like I remembered

Gery and Clement feel like such pointless additions who would've been better off being one-off antagonists for like 10 episodes at most.

The Milton plotline is genuinely so stupid and forgettable. Once he's gone at the halfway point and he's nonexistent, it feels like "why did we waste so much screentime on him?"

Vilu and Leon should've been together the whole season, facing barriers in their relationship but never breaking up. The season was at its best when they were together, and it's genuinely so fucking annoying that they were together for the longest amount of episodes in season 1 over season 2 and 3 when Tomas was still a thing.

Fuck the whole Roxy storyline, it was so aggrivating

The side couples' plots were kinda boring imo. I like Naty and Maxy but their storyline was a bit blah. Diego and Francesca have telenovela drama and then just kinda exist in the show it feels like. Broduey and Camilla's relationship was super boring imo.. I'm not very interested in Federico even if Ludmila was super interesting this season. And I don't even care the slightest about Gery x Clement, Pablo x I forgot her name (though Pablo deserves to be happy after losing Antonio), or Nicolas x Jade. All are actual screen waste imo

Angie and German are hard for me to root for bc he and Maria were together when she was a little girl? Even if she's like 30 in the present, the whole knowing her back then aspect ruins any interest in the relationship for me

I actually thought the Andres love doctor plotline was kinda funny, and it matches how so many queer people in my life are amazing at analyzing others' relationships but struggle with finding relationships themselves

Ludmila's development was definitely the highlight of the season, but I don't think it's enough to carry the season

The whole "new kids in the studio" plotline was cool for giving Maxi his career development story, but the characters were weird. It was weird how one of them was played by an actress in her 20s and was set up as Andres's love interest, only to suddenly leave, Meanwhile, the rest were just children who looked younger than the studio students we saw up until that point (being like 12-15 instead of 17-18)

The last few episodes felt so rushed through with a ton happening, which was annoying considering how much the conflicts dragged on throughout most of the season

The show is still my comfort show bc I love the characters (most of them) so much

I'll definitely watch Soy Luna soon, and I'm excited since it'll be my first time watching it. But it probably won't be until a while into 2024. I work 12 hours a day 4-5 days a week, and I think I'm going to watch stuff that's lower commitment for now. Plus, I have a massive game backlog. My free time is super limited

business proposal - 11/10 (a romcom series, an adaptation of it's manhwa series, characters are very relatable, employee and ceo relationship trope with a pinch of fake dating)

love alarm - season 1 is 99.9/10 while season 2 is 5/ 10 (ngl, i prefer s1 better than s2, and as much as i would like to spoil why, i believe you should watch it on your own to find out. if you like angst so much, then here it is)

sweet home - 100/10 (this is a thriller and suspense series, every episode hits that impact, just a heads up that s2 is also on the way, so you won't have to be annoyed at the ending of s1!)

start-up - 1000/10 (another romcom series, however this is has something to do with starting a business? i forgot the plot, but then again it's actually a good kdrama to watch, let me know if you've already fallen for the second male lead of the series 😉)

school 2015 - ♾/10 (OH TO WATCH THIS SERIES LIKE IT'S YOUR FIRST TIME TO DO SO, i highly recommend this as well, the plot is very 🤌, the second male lead deserves so much, I REPEAT HE DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER LIKE WHY DID THEY DO HIM LIKE THAT 😔)

school 2013 - 8/10 (not too bad but not too good as well, higschool romcom series!)

20th century girl - ♾/10 (THIS MOVIE, ISTG THIS MOVIE COMES SECOND BEFORE TITANIC FOR HURTING ME SO BAD, a he fell first but she fell harder trope, i suggest you prepare a couple of tissues...but overall, a really great movie! it would somehow make you realize that time is short and so can be love, so yeah let the people around you know how much you love them)

it's okay to not be okay - ♾/10 (i highly recommend this as well, there are some scenes where it can be emotional or confusing, but trust me it's really good, i'd say that it's about two people who are broken yet are also trying to love each other 🙁)

It was not surprising that stella was abusive. I knew immediately what kind character she be.

And I am thoroughly disappointed. She is as 1 D as they come in villians. Shes evil. Rich. Snobby and shes married to what's meant to be the love interest. Shes a stereotype.

And kinda a really misogynistic one, she is the evil over feminine dramatic character that we're meant to hate immediately bc shes not against feminine and doesn't do anything 'cool' and acts 'rude' I've seen it with almost all my childhood shows. We all have. I fucking hate it.

She could have been a great character if written correctly. She didn't need to be a abuser, she could have been a woman hurt by her lovers cheating ways, a woman who was confused. Wasn't she enough for him? Did he not love her? Was she too much for her? so much that he slept with an imp?! Let her be upset! Let her pride take over. Is hiring a hitman to kill him too far? No. Not in hell. (Maybe that could make the "but they're in hell!" Arguments somewhat valid-) she could have slowly gotten a arc to accept Imps with employing Striker(giving both. The screentime they deserve) it all could have gotten to its peak season 1 final. Instead of sitting alone. Its stella, crying.

Instead of season 2 ep one being stolas and blitzos backstory (LET.STOLAS.USE.BLITZ.LET.HIM.GET.GROWTH.) we get get Stella's and Stolas backstory, they could actually love each other. Or it could be one sided.

She could have been a interesting non villain character. She had the personality and flaws, if we need a evil abusive female character. Lunas right there she already has good quality's for it. Shes overly rude, makes fun of people for no reason(bodyshames Moxxie.). Extremely cruel to her adoptive father figure and her being twist villian would be so great. Hints are already there, shes on her phone 24/7. Never leaves it. Maybe she could be giving someone inside info of I.M.P? Or of hell itself? Shes lower them imps, she probably would want to stick it to royals as much as someone like Stricker would. She has good potential!

But, if stella were to remain a villiain.

Her her sweet. Understanding of stolas love for blitzo. Always a soft smile and a comforting hand on his shoulder, willing to listen to his rants and drunken vents. A loving mother looking for the best interests of her daughter. Make her out of place she shouldn't be this nice Or kind, especially in hell of all places! Some may notice. Some may not, it's a mystery of why, till she attempts to kill stolas. Not for any selfish reasons. No no no. Shes just trying to purge him of hell! Shes trying to save him! And Blitzo. And Octavia. And all her loved ones!

So I've explained some of the things I disliked about the gossip girl reboot. Now I'm going to give the reasons I still watch. Note there will be less because its harder to think of good things but I will continue to watch.

The first thing that came to mind was actually some of the friendships. The first one I thought of was actually max and luna. They don't have many scenes together but the ones they do have show a really cute friendship. They're willing to help each other with few questions asked, they know each others secrets and worries, and they tell each other their problems not even necessarily for advice just to tell someone and get it out in the open and if that isn't true friendship idk what is.

Another friendship I loved is luna and monets. I dont think I really have to explain this. I hope they take over the school together bc honestly JC kind of annoys me bc she flip flops between being the nice to being queen bee from episode to episode.

Finally I really liked JC and Audrey's friendship. I like that audrey is the one person who isn't trying to get JC to change in some way. She just wants her to do what makes her happy and care less about and image that, it could be argued, makes her miserable. They go to each other for advice or with problems and honestly audrey seems like one of the only people that likes JC for who she is and only really wants her to be happy. They may have their arguments but they quickly sort these arguments out and make up.

Also, while I don't really care for Zoya and JC as friends or enemies, and the drama between them annoys me, i liked the last episode of the first season when Zoya pointed out they didn't necessarily have to be friends to be sisters, they don't have to hang out with the same group. At the end of the day they're 2 very different people who aren't friends. They aren't serena and Blair and I hope we get to see more of Zoyas new friend bc 2 episodes wasn't enough to form an opinion.

OK now characters I like. The only characters I truly dislike are the teachers, who should all face some sort of legal trouble, and obie who I just find boring, bland and kind of annoying. However that does mean I like the other characters. I'm not going to repeat reasons and I may not mention all other characters because I may not dislike them but their storyline may annoy me.

Note: I won't comment on the sexual assault storyline until we see the end result as I feel its still ongoing and could go either way.

OK so first, max, audrey and akeno. Why do I like these characters. A: the friendships they have with others, b: their storylines in general, bit the main reason is the polyamory storyline. I'm not going to talk about representation because I'm straight and don't know much about polyamarous relationships so I don't know how accurate this teen drama show is and I'm sure some aspects may be problematic without me realising. In other words, it would be wrong of me to discuss these things so I won't. What I will say is I'm hlad we got an answer at the end and, considering I wanted this from episode 1 I was very happy with the end result. Now I know that the chances of them breaking up is high, but even if they do break up, I hope they'll ultimately be endgame. Like, they can date other people and explore other ships, I wouldn't hate that but I want the show to end with the three of them dating. Also I like that max, despite liking both of them, still stuck by his boundaries and didn't just accept any type of poly relationship with them, that he wanted to feel like an equal instead of an extra, so overall, interesting storyline, explored multiple actions, satisfying ending that could be changed at any second, it's great. If they screw these 3 up I'll be so sad. Even if they're not dating I at least want them to be friends, honestly this is my favourite thing about thos reboot and if they screw it up and I don't mean a little, I mean making them toxic, like chuck and Blair levels toxic or even just unhealthy, that would truly break my heart. Honestly I just want them to be happy and at least friends by the end. I understand max will be learning about romantic relationships and there will be ups and downs, I'm fine with that as long as its happy. It's rare for me to find ships and romantic storyline I'm actually invested in. Most of the time it's less of a case of shipping it and more of a case of not being against it but not caring either way but I've been emotionally invested in this since day one.

Now let's discuss monet. Honestly I love her. This is probably the closest we get to a character that would be in the original gossip girl and honestly, I hope she does become queen bee and also finds out the teachers are gossip girl and gets them all fired and arrested, especially of she finds out the reason they started it. Honestly I just love how honest she is about who she is. She doesn't hide that she's manipulative and mean. Honestly queen bee monet. On a similar note, I love luna too. I wasn't too sure early on but she grew on me and I loved the last episode, the fact that she has someone to love even if it's long distance and how happy but conflicted she was. Plus we got some scenes with luna and max. Also luna is more loyal than monet bc monet sees JC more as a job whereas for luna she gets to help put her friend. I want these 2 to have a happy ending.

Zoya and JC I have a love hate relationship with and whether or not I like them chnges depending on the episode.

Also this isn't something I like but it is something I thought was entertaining, I loved that Rafa called them out about gossip girl. It was funny because he was sleeping with a student (Yes, yes, max pursued him but he's still the grown adult. However, I will ignore this if Max is 18 and legal age simply bc the show clearly doesn't care so neither will I.) It's not often someone can sleep with a student and lecture someone else on morals but Rafa surely gave it a good go and I found that entertaining. Also he said it to Kate, someone I hate, so it also made me happy. I'm honestly just glad anyone called her out on it.

Also, conflicting opinion, I both ship Kate and zoyas dad and don't ship them. If you're wondering how that works allow me to explain. In any other show I would definitely ship these two characters because they have some cute scenes and moments. Also I like Zoya's dad and want him to be happy. However I also find Kate annoying and she's gossip girl so, while I want him to be happy, I also want Kate to be unhappy. Here's what I propose, let Kate and zoyas dad date for a couple of episodes to satisfy the miniscule part of me that ships them, then have Zoyas dad find out Kate and Jordan are gossip girl and, since he's a lawyer, get them locked up or in as much legal trouble as he can, especially with the whole taking a photo of zoya changing and posting it online thing.

I can't think of anything else right now but I'll probably add to this as time goes on. Overall it has potential. I hope they'll give obie more personality and that the teachers won't be gossip girl much longer. If monet or JC or one of the students take over gossip girl that would be great, but just don't tell us which one straight away. That would be great. In other words I'll probably watch the planned season 2 and then review where we stand. One thing it's great at is being a guilty pleasure show. Because it's kind of terrible but I somehow love it as I'm watching it but end up getting annoyed with it after it's over. I'd never admit to watching this show.

also this is three characters and i am a very ramble-y person, so, “keep reading”:

~ Ludmila ~

First impression of them

“She is a bitch, I am going to love her”, but also, “She is such a stereotype and will annoy the fuck out of me”.

Current impression of them

I don’t think I have or ever will connect to and love a fictional character more than her (and Ámbar from Soy Luna, but they’re very similar character archetypes). There’s just so much I love about her: her sassy attitude (more in s2 & 3, really) and how the writers still kept it as an integral part of her personality post-redemption, her extreme love for astronomy, Mechi and her talent in general, and most especially her redemption arc. Her complexity in season 3 especially is too good for this dumb (half affectionate and derogatory) show. This stupid (very affectionate) girl is so special to me.

Least favourite thing about them

As a character, how little of a character she was in season 1. The writers had nothing going on for her besides the dramatic and bratty mean girl stereotype.

As a person, obviously how terrible she was in s1 and 2. That girl did some fucked up stuff that include (but aren’t limited to): putting strawberries in Vilu’s drink bc she thought Vilu was allergic but ended up sending León to the hospital, treating her best friend like an inferior for several years and literally breaking her leg by sending a skateboard flying her way, and teaming up with Diego for a whole year to manipulate Vilu and break her heart by the end of the it and then blackmailing Diego when he said he had feelings for Violetta and didn’t want to continue with the plan (this might be wrong but my memory’s a little foggy).

I love this girl, but she did some horrible things.

Random headcanon

Post-redemption, she’s always trying to prove to everyone, especially Naty, that she’s a better person even if they tell her they know. Idk, I feel like her past is not something for her that’s easy to let go and she’s constantly worried that she’ll either “turn” mean again or people will dislike her again (that last point highlighting her fear of rejection Priscila put on her). She also has a hard time showing emotions to most people since she basically had to repress a lot of feelings bc of Priscila just being Priscila.

Uhh, that’s quite angsty, so I’ll just say that she and Naty stay with each other for the rest of their lives bc I need that hehe.

Okay, it’s Luty, I’ve been going crazy over them lately. Even though she was inexcusably mean to Naty, I love how she secretly cared for her when she was and how affectionate towards her she was in most of s3. This girl loves her a lot but is an idiot and doesn’t know how to show it. <3

She surely needs therapy after 19 years of enduring Priscila.

I mean, I have a whole playlist. It’s not finished, but yeah. Though, If I had to pick one, Supernova by Jonas Blue, Charlotte OC, and Dark Heart. Come on, it’s in the name. I also think this could be about her state of mind by the time season 3 rolls around (i love angst too much).

Unpopular opinion

I don’t think there’s really an opinion in this fandom about her that is really unpopular, but I’ll just say that I don’t like how they made her a jealous girlfriend in one of the episodes in s3 where Germán and Priscila took her and Vilu to Spain. It really feels like they just wanted cheap drama and that was the first trope they thought of.

I definitely did not expect her to be as complex as she is. First of all, she is a cutie and I love how chaotic (the acting direction is very questionable, to say the least, in s1 especially) and adorable this girl is, but second of all, her storyline with leaving that toxic friendship but not completely because she cares a lot for Ludmila is- Also her telling Ludmi that "I wish I could hate you the way others do, but I can’t because I love you” but still expecting to be treated better is- HOLY CRAP

Show me the competent writers who wrote Naty and Ludmi’s arcs because, again, these two are too good and complex for this stupid show.

Least favourite thing about them

I hate how insecure she is about herself and how she just settles with Ludmi’s mistreatment of her in s1 :(

Luty. This idiot has been in love with her best friend for forever. Just how she cares for Ludmi even if she was mean, realized that she can’t hate her no matter how much she tries, and still likes to be around her while still knowing she doesn’t deserve to be treated inferior. Also in season 3 when she (aside from Germán) was the only one to believe Ludmi immediately when she said she didn’t push Vilu down the stairs and when she encouraged her to go to studio despite Ludmi not wanting to, assured her no one hates her, and is very sensual with her when everyone else was apologizing- 🥺😭 It gets me every time.

She seems like she has some form of anxiety, especially season 1 and before.

We tend to associate Naty with sunshines and rainbows, but this sad bitch will say Birdie by Avril Lavigne. Look me in the eye and tell me it’s not her breaking away from her toxic friendship with Ludmila (also the “how can i avoid the flames from your fire?” line matches with the “shine bright like the fires that burned ya” line of Supernova and idk, that’s cool ig).

I don’t ship her and Maxi, I guess. Though I find some of their romantic scenes cute, I like them better as friends.

First impression of them

The first time I saw her was in Caitlin Mckillop’s Violetta 2 Song Ranking video and I hadn’t watched the show at the time and therefore didn’t know Angie and Vilu were blood-related, so when it got to the clip of Algo se Enciende (when Angie was leaving), I literally thought Vilu was her favorite student and that’s why she hugged her the tightest out of the kids instead of Vilu being her niece. 🙃👐

But the first time I watched the show (ep 1), I thought she was one of the most gorgeous people i ever saw pretty sweet, though also an idiot (affectionate).

Current impression of them

I don’t have much to say about her as Ludmila and Natalia, but just know that I love her and think she deserves much much better. :)

The Loud siblings each have their own tiktok and are on different tiktoks, sometimes they'll show up on eachothers fyp and it's sweet because they get so excited for eachother ❤️

Luan knows the basic chords to the guitar and will sometimes play a lil silly song whenever she feels like it (Luan: anyway here's wonderwall-)

Since he's been Lynn's sparring partner/punching bag since he was able to walk, Lincoln's probably the only one out of all their siblings to keep up with her (when he actually tries that is)

Lana makes mudpies in the shape of hearts when someone is sad

Since our mans has 10 sisters, this is bound to happen. Lincoln low key keeps a little compact for makeup in case of a "Makeup Emergency" (he usually carries it around during pageant season)

Lori calls Lincoln "little gamer" whenever he gets anxiety attacks

Speaking of, our boy probably gets diagnosed with general anxiety disorder by Lisa and his only reaction is: "it be like that ✨"

Lynn and Lincoln got into an argument over who would rock a skirt better so they threw a lil fashion show competition and Lincoln won

Luna smoked one (1) cigarette one time at a concert and she cried of how bad it tasted and how it hurt her lungs

Leni, Lincoln, Lola, and (surprisingly) Lucy go get manicures every two weeks

The "Treat Yo Self" bit from parks and recs is SO Lori and Leni (Lincoln is the one who dresses like batman)

Every Mother's Day since they became friends, Clyde would bring Lincoln's mom a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates since she's probably the closest thing he has to a mother figure

Lori, Leni, Luan and Lincoln talk like gen z bitches in the tiktok comments

Luan accidentally taught Lily how to say "Periodt ✨"

Lynn has OCD, that's why she's so dead set on her superstitions and routines, this is also why she's obsessed with sports and winning and why she doesn't actually believe that she's that good of a player so she relies on her compulsions (good luck rituals) to adhere to her obsession (winning in sports)

The kids make a bathroom schedule based on how long they spend in there. It goes shortest to longest (shortest being Lana, longest being Leni)

Luan regularly gets detention for pulling pranks on either her peers of the faculty (she even got suspended once or twice)

Lincoln is Pan-romantic, Lynn is Bi-romantic, Luna's bi (obviously), Luan is also Pan, Leni too. Lori's straight lmao

Lucy most definitely put a curse or too on her bullies

Lori would probably have to room with a bunch of people at college because she literally cannot handle living without 4 or more people at a time (gets too quiet for her)

Whenever her sibling's bring their s/o to the house, Lola would go and personally invite them to tea and cookies in her room (where she goes and interrogates them to see if they're worthy), with Lincoln as the butler of course (he does it voluntarily bc he wants in on the interrogation)

Sam and Benny are by far her favourite guests as Lola loves the dramatic flair Benny brings to the tea table, and Sam's vibes are just immaculate.

Lincoln's definitely the best dancer out of the whole clan (Lisa comes in a close second)

Speaking of, Lisa probably swears the most because of how often she listens to rap (she said fuck once and Lori flipped the FUCK out), Lynn comes in second for once, then Luan, and then Lincoln (shocking I know but he's earned it)

I like to think Lincoln is albino (fuck what the writers say, boy has white hair) and most people with albinism have sight problems (mostly trouble processing lots of light at once), so he ends up needing glasses when he enters highschool

He also has a special sunscreen so his skin doesn't hurt in direct sunlight. He also can't tan

Lori has contacts but has a spare pair of glasses that she wears when she's too lazy to put in her contacts (like on the weekends or when she's sick)

Benny is Jewish! He takes his religion very seriously, and is most definitely Kosher. When they get older, Luan considers converting to Judaism (so she can make a bunch of jewish jokes but shh) and they raise their kids with both jewish and catholic teachings

The Louds are Catholic btw, but they only go to church on Christmas and Easter. They're one of those families (like mine lmao)

They have slumber parties whenever there's a long weekend, braid train sessions are very common (Lincoln, Luna, and Lisa are the caboose), they have pillow fights (Lynn yeeted her mattress at Lincoln once), and put all the pillows and blankets on the floor and sleep in a big ole blanket nest together (gotta have some family time bruvs)

He awoke to the almost feathery sensation of tail hairs flirting softly across his face.  Again.  The soft, sweet voice of the young mare offered, “Up, Old Warrior!  It is time for us to battle another night away!”

Opening one eye, the Old Warrior beheld two things.  One, the young mare was right.  The sun was setting.  Time for him to get up and fry a few hay twists for breakfast.

The other was a bit more awkward to see.  The young mare herself.  Other than the fact that her mane and tail were darker than the fur that covered the rest of her, there was simply not much to be seen.  Her outlines were slightly hazy and he could see the wall mount with his old battle honors and medals right through her.

Years ago, needing to reduce the size of a peacetime army, Master Sargent Warrin had been mustered out for his age and infirmity.  Some Infirmity.  True, he was missing the tip joint of his right wing.  That had failed to slow him down any.  Only dumb headquarters brass saw it as an infirmity.

When mustered out, Master Sargent Warrin had got from his forward post in the forest to Fort Everfree Edge faster than the overweight but “fit” pegasus Lieutenant that had delivered his Orders.  The scene that followed had got “insolence” added to his mustering out Orders.

All that he had done, after all, was point out to Base Commander Morrgripe that the UNFIT pony that they were mustering out could out run, out fly and carry a heavier battle pack in the air or on foot than ANY officer in the Fort.  That might have been bad enough, but the 950 golden bits that he had won while proving it, including a bet from the BC, had earned him the insolent tag.

Then the Prance border heated up a few years later.  For the fourth time!  They tried to get him to sign a forced reenlistment.

He had taken great pleasure in rubbing the Infirmity Muster Out in their faces!  At that time he was employed flying express post for Princess Luna’s Royal Road Commission.  AND had racked up SIX commendations for his swift deliveries!

He was smiling as he looked up at his second wall mount.  The commendations for swift post and two of Luna’s Crescents for gallantry in dealing with deadly civil emergencies were in it.

The sweet little mare poked her head through the wall near the stove where he was seasoning his frying hay twists with assorted dried flower tops.

With not a care in the world, she walked on into the kitchen, hooves about 10 cm above the floor.  “Smells lovely, Old Warrior.  I wish that I could eat some along with you.  That is something that I miss a lot.

“Until you came, ponies that stayed here at this old chateau were afraid of me.  I just saw you smiling.  Was it remembering your Insolence or was it the Fast Post Service that you were remembering?”

He looked up and offered her a small plate of his seasoned hay twist.  “It was a little of all three things, Sweetie.  The third being you, of course.  Mostly you.

“Here, this plate is yours for now.  If you cannot eat what I cooked for you, at least you can smell it and share breakfast with me that way.”

Her eyes twinkling, the little mare, Sweetie, sat.  On the air.  And sniffed appreciatively.  He poured her a small cup of the strong Rom black tea that he favored.  She smelled that too, a blissfully happy expression on her face.

He watched in fascination as she reached out a hoof and the day’s mail appeared in the same ghostly form as herself.  When she took back her hoof, all of his day’s mail was solidly there on the table.  She seemed to be pleased at his expression.

He sorted his mail and made a sour expression when he opened one with the Army Retirement Board seal on it.  He brightened considerably at the contents of a different envelope  It bore the seal of Chancery Court of Princess Luna’s Royal Road Commission.

“I have to go down to Everfree Town, Sweetie.  I wish that you could come with me.  I enjoy your company.”

She smiled like a conjurer doing a clever slight of hoof trick.  “I can.  I have followed you to your garden that is in the glen.  Because it was daylight, you could not see me but I was there.  I am hard to see in bright lamplight too.  That does not stop me from seeing you, only you from seeing me.”

“I thought that you were haunting this chateau.”

“I was.  Then you came.  You were not afraid of me.  You even started waking at sunset and spending the night awake, just so that you could see me and talk to me.

“It took some time for me to learn how to talk to you so that you could hear me.  Nobody else can hear me at all.  I love being able to talk to you.  The stories that you tell me of your adventures are endlessly fascinating.  I especially like the one about your meeting Princess Luna on the Prance frontier.”

The ex Master Sargent Warrin grinned!  “You learned how to move real things and that led you to writing too!  I must say that I admire your determination.  I would have loved to have you in a platoon of mine!

“Now, let’s go to Equesrian National Bank and try to settle this business!”

Sweetie smiled happily, “I love going out with you!  What is Equestrian National Bank?”

Bemused, the old warrior paused in the doorway and looked over at Sweetie, who was simply strolling through the wall of the chateau.  There was no porch under her but she did not seem to notice that.

He mused, “Forgot how long ago you died, Sweetie.  A bank is a business that takes money from many ponies and then loans it out to businesses, farms and home buyers.  They make money off of the loans and then share some of what they make with the ponies they got the money from.

“Usually, everypony sort of wins.  While they hold my money, they keep track of how much I have and add on my share of what they earn with it.”

Sweetie had no wings but she easily kept pace with him, seeming to trot along like a pegasus on a well made cloud.  Except, of course, there was no cloud!

With a luminous smile she explained, “I have managed to change from haunting the chateau to haunting YOU!  That means that I HAVE to stay close!  That makes it easy to keep up.  The magic of haunting and all of that.”

He flew with happy strokes of powerful wings.  She trotted ahead and flirted her ghostly tail in his face sometimes!  It made him get a goofy smile on his face every time that she did it.  He spiraled down to the Equestrian National Bank and walked in.

He requested a meeting with Mister Horshiz, the branch Vice President of Operations.  Instead of having to wait, Mister Horshiz, a really sour gray maned red pony, demanded, “There you are, Warrin!  Why are you six days late on the rent for the Royalmont Chateau?  You owe us 1500 golden bits plus six days of penalties!”

Warrin looked askance at him.  “Not possible.  I was PURCHASING the chateau from Princess Luna, who owned it.  There is a title deed transfer that my agent told me has been delayed.  My making the purchase was the Princess’ idea.”

“I have the DEED right here!”

Horshiz held out a blue scrolled edge document.  Warrin’s battle trained reflexes snatched it faster that Horshiz could pull it back.  His eyebrows rose at what he saw.

In a saccharine voice he asked, “Where is the original?  This is a Chancery Copy and it has been altered.  The Royal Seal is a copy, not an original, as required by Crowns Law.”

“That is a trivial detail!  Pay the past due rent and penalties or be evicted at once!” Horshiz demanded.

Sweetie’s voice caught Warrin’s attention.  “Keep him talking love of mine.  I see some very interesting things in this file on his desk!”

Warrin grinned like a shark seeing a helpless swimmer.  “When Princess Luna’s personal property deed was so severely delayed in transfer, I wrote to her.”

He held up his envelope with the seal of the Royal Road Chancery Court on it.  He read, “Dear Master Sargent (Ret.) Warrin:  It is with great pleasure that I enclose your latest Royal Road Fast Post Commendation for assistance in the recent Dappleton Grist Mill dam failure.

“In spite of your Retirement from our Postal Service, your heroic over flight in thunderstorm weather and precise damage assessments made all of the difference for some hundreds of our subjects.

“In response to your request for an audit of the title problem concerning the Royalmont Chateau, I have disturbing news.  The Title Deed was sent to the Everfree Town branch of Equestrian National Bank to have the deed transfer to you notarized and the transfer registered.

“Celestia and I jointly agreed, after the Dappleton disaster, to gift the Chateau to you for your many services to our Realm.  Along with the deed, all needful fees and a full refund of all the monies that you have paid were sent to the Bank.

“The deed, fees and refund were directly stolen.  A Royal Audit has shown other irregularities concerning your accounts at the Everfree EQNB.  Among these, your retirement payments from both Our Army and the Royal Road Post System have subverted.  The direct golden transfers on the Royal Treasury are being made to Everfree EQNB.  They are issuing DRAFTS, which they fail to pay until thirty days have passed, giving them unlawful access to the use of your honorable retirement funds.

“The whole scheme has been directly traced to General  Morrgripe of Fort Everfree, who appears to have a grudge against you concerning how your took your Muster Out.  Something about losing a bet.

“I may add that due to My personal friendship, stemming from your heroic shielding of my person with your body during a surprise attack by Prance forces, it was my request that you be kept in our Royal Armored Pegassi.  However, in the end, such decisions do properly belong to the Base Commander.  Then Colonel Morrgripe ordered you Mustered Out.

“I will never forget that you lost your right wing tip when protecting me during the Third Prance Incursion.  

“Both General Morrgripe and Branch Vice President Horshiz have been summoned to Our Royal Court to answer charges Under Our Royal Wing, concerning the theft of My personal property and gift.  They must also face the subversion of our Royal Retirement System.

“Please find enclosed a fully transferred Title Deed formally Sealed by both my sister Celestia and I.  This Deed supersedes any previous documents and is already Registered in all of the appropriate Courts of Law.

“I remain your loyal friend, Princess Luna.”

While Warrin was reading, he noticed with amusement that he could, just barely, see Sweetie.  She was laying her hoof on documents from the file on Horshiz’s desk.  Like when she picked up his mail at home, the documents faded slowly away while Sweetie grinned.

For his ears alone, she said, “We called them Sharing Associations when I was alive.  Losing needed documents is still a favorite ploy, I see.  He is losing some that he will wish that he still had!”

Warrin grinned even more widely.  He held up his copy of the Chateau’s deed.  “You are effectively dead, except that you will be working on the Royal Roads!  This one is ALREADY registered by the direct order of BOTH Princesses.

“I was coming to let you know that both the payment by draft and the Deed issues had been taken care of.  I was going to let you off the hook on all of this and shaft General Morrgripe, whom I do detest.

“Unfortunately, you just had to try to extort a rent from me for a property that I own outright as a Royal gift.”

Sweetie strolled through Horshiz’s desk and laid her hoof just above Warrin’s lap.  A number of documents faded into existence in his lap.

She hugged him, which felt like being surrounded by the softest of feathers.

Whispering in Warrin’s ear, she said, “Come, my love, let us go to our home and leave this pony to his fate.”

Agreeing, Warrin stood, folding the documents into his shoulder pouch.  He turned to the stunned Horshiz, “I would love to see you try to claim either rent or eviction.  The first thing that the court will do is look to see who owns the property.  The Registry will show that it is ME.  That will make you prima facie guilty of fraud.  You know it, too.

“A pleasant evening to you.”

He stopped by the Police Station and delivered the documents that Sweetie had purloined.  He explained, “These are part of the evidence in a case Under the Royal Wing.”

He produced his letter from Princess Luna.  The desk pony checked his Wants, Warrants, and Summonses file to confirm the Royal Summons and took the documents, saying, “I will be see to getting these forwarded to the Royal Road Chancery Court.”  Shaking his head in disbelief he added, “Stealing from Princess Luna?  Not a wise thing to do!”

Warrin’s flight home to the Chateau was in no way hindered by Sweetie getting in front of him and flirting her tail in his face from time to time.

DISCLAIMER: THESE ARE ALL MY OPINIONS. ANYONE ATTACKING ME FOR THESE (and pls note that “attacking” and “respectfully disagreeing in the name of discourse or putting your two cents in” are different and I will definitely entertain the second one) WILL BE BLOCKED AND DELETED

Here's the thing: I'm glad they're taking advantage of the new setting to introduce a creepy-cool sci-fi element that I lowkey missed in this show. It's less teen-drama-y and more post-apocalyptic-moral-dilemma-y, and I like that a lot.

HOWEVER, I would like it a lot more if we had some quality character development to go along with this healthy main course of plot. I don't like storytelling where the plot happens to the characters; I like seeing the characters both react to the circumstances of Life as the plot dictates, but also making decisions that impact the plot. Like real life, these actions and events go both ways.

I feel as though we're watching many of our characters kind of waste away in the background for the sake of what is a really good plot and premise on its face, but needs a strong set of emotional performances to keep it going. I'm disappointed at the lack of character interaction, especially when it comes to dealing with the host of sins that were committed before everyone went into cryo. I understand that the characters may not have even had time to process everything given the intensity of the current conflict, but SHOW ME THAT!

On that vein, they've done a really poor job of internal conflict continuity. Murphy has one (1) crisis about dying and apparently being shown hell, and that's it. That's not something that leaves you easily, especially not for someone like Murphy who already carries around a lot of guilt. However, we're not shown that - we see him manipulating Josephine to get the immortality chips, but his actions don't seem to be motivated by that Fear Of Hell - they just seem to be happening because the script wills it so.

I'm not taking shots at Richard or any of the other actors - I think they're all doing an awesome job with what they're given. I just feel like, unlike previous seasons, we were thrust straight into the action instead of letting it build slowly. I think they could've done incredible things with both character development and plot if they had stretched all this out over one and a half or two seasons. In past seasons, we've always started off on the heels of a rising conflict from the previous season, but this time, we're starting fresh, and I don't think that was handled well.

On a final (negative) note, (and then I have some positive stuff), I'm a little tired of the endless trope of "let's have one episode per season that feeds Clarke's martyr complex and endears Poor Little Her to the audience." This is the thing: I don't particularly care for Clarke. It's not because I'm a Becho shipper (although I am). It's because - IN MY OPINION DONT NO ONE COME FOR ME OK - Clarke has been taken from a moral character Trying Her Best to do the right thing as a child-slash-new adult thrust into a world of harsh extremes with no guidance whatsoever to someone with a savior complex who uses the same excuse over and over to justify acting alone even though, at this point, help is RIGHT THERE. I was happy when she apologized to Raven at the beginning of s6, but I wasn't happy that she and the narrative both then turned around and tried to justify why Poor Baby Isn't Actually Such A Bad Person After All.

Clarke has done bad things. Periodt. No ifs, ands or buts. She, like Octavia, Abby, Indra, Lexa, Bellamy, Kane, Miller, etc. has messed up. Periodt. No ifs, ands or buts. That's part of what this show is about, and it's why I love it - I love moral greyness and that endless battle between our better angels and what we feel we need to do to stay alive. It's why I love this genre.

HOWEVER, while the narrative continuously gives Clarke a pass because she justifies that she was doing it all "for her people," Octavia, Indra, Lexa, Titus, Luna, heck, even Lincoln and Monty, don't get those same passes. They're left to carry their own guilt while also getting half-hearted reassurances from the people around then and the narrative. Meanwhile, we're all expected by the storytellers to feel sorry for Clarke because she gives insincere apologies and keeps coming back to "I did it for my people oh poor me I'm carrying your sins for you." No one asked her to do that.

Okay, rant over. I also want to give a positive nod to Marie and Ivana's acting; those two are playing off one another so well and, while I don't like Marie as a person, she is really embodying the role of a traumatized former leader who believes she's so far gone death is the only way to save her soul. Likewise, Ivana is doing a great job of taking her tough-as-nails, untouchable, snarky character and showing a softer side that doesn't detract from her power in a situation, but rather adds to her dynamic with Octavia. Last season, there's no way I could've seen her as a mother. Now I can.

i think i'd be from alpha station. idk why, just a radom pick.

i'd either get arrested for talking back to someone important (i am NOT great with authority figures) or i'd get caught stealing or trading on the black market.

3. Would you take off your wristband when you landed on the ground?

no, i'd want the ark to come down, so taking it off wouldn't really serve me well.

4. What would the necklace Finn would make for you look like? (Clarke: deer/Raven: a raven duh..)

he definitely wouldn't make me one cause we would probably instantly dislike each other

5. If you could resurrect any MINOR character who would it be?

does anya count as a minor character? i want anya back!

i really, really do not like finn.

without knowing the consequences? if i hadn't seen too many people with the chip and how changed the were i'd totally take the chip. but if i was around enough of them i think i'd realize something strange is going on...

ehh... it's a mix between echo, titus and pike probably

i'd probably wear normal jeans, some high boots and a (hopefully) water resistant jacket. probably in a dark color like blue or black.

i love the aesthetic of tattooed fingers and if i lived in a post apocalyptic warrior clan i'd definitely have some really cool designs on my fingers, my hands and up my arms to my shoulders. i'd also like some tattos on my back and my stomach. my hair would probably be in braids similar to octavias s3 style. my war paint would be around my eyes and down my cheeks and maybe a line on my lips or something?
