Hey there! Firstly, big big fan of your art and headcanons, ty for your cool and awesome big brain ❤️ Now that you’ve seen the movie, I’m wondering what your thoughts are on Shimo??? I’ve just seen impressions of her so scattered. (I saw your post on how she will NOT be treated as a pet, and I so appreciate that.)

I will say, for me the ‘old gal’ vibes are so strong and I’m here for it. Like when Goji blasts his atomic breath into the sky at the end and she’s looking at it with such awe and her cute super gummy smile, it reminds me of when a grandma gets shown some common piece of technology that the rest of us are used to, but she just can’t heckin believe it because she lives in a damn cave??? I loved that.

shimo my beloved💙 i appreciate most interpretations of her, besides people who are just straight up caling her a dog. and like, not in the way i’d compare goji to a cat? for me it's more mannerisms based, so for goji my main expression/mannerism inspirations are cats, wolves, and komodo dragons (obviously), and for mosu it's owls and cats, with a crumb of horses because of their 'ear' communication so i use that with her antennae.

sorry for tangent but anyways. i dont need someone barking at me that i call goji a cat/draw him acting like a cat so calling shimo ‘kong’s pet dog’ is fine. i think its the difference between goji having the personality i characterize him with + mannerisms inspired by other animals, vs. him having no personality besides Being A Cat. like, he’s a dumbfuck but he’s clearly an intelligent creature capable of communication and understanding. i make a lot of shitposts but truly in my personal hc i’d never reduce him to ‘pet level intelligence’

i think i’m extra touchy about people calling her ‘kong’s pet’ because like. dawg. did you watch the movie? she was JUST freed from being skar’s slave/beast of burden/abused pet whatever you wanna call it. why would you want her to become another creature’s pet again?(obviously minus the abuse) idk mannn it just feels…. reductive somehow. she clearly shows intelligence and understanding when she realizes what’s happening during the fight and helps to kill skar. i just refuse to reduce her entire character to kong’s pet status bcuz that makes me uncomfortable asf.

as a disclaimer, you’re welcome to have whatever hc you enjoy. me expressing my personal thoughts on the matter isn’t an attack on anyone who characterizes her that way, i’m just not interested in engaging with it in the slightest.

i’m seeing mixed info about her age so idk where she actually sits there?? i remember seeing something like she’s the First Titan but i also think the novelization of the movie said she’s only 3 million years old?? when im p sure they’ve said goji is 250+ million years old so…. i have no clue there lol. personally she feels less jaded and grumpy than goji does to me so my brain automatically sees her as similar or younger bcuz of my Grumpy Old Man bias.

i’m still workin out my ideas for her but based on how the movie ends i like to think she helps kong with relocating the apes to a better home, and they mostly live in HE. her n kong venture up for surface dates bcuz she gets what she fucking deserves 💙

goji nearly has an aneurysm the first time they come up, since mosu literally takes them for a lil tour of monster island. bro standing there clenching his fist like the arthur meme, he begrudgingly knows she’s right and eventually he gets used to it

Why does everybody headcanon Godzilla as the bottom(FYI I do too) but like I adore we all have come to this conclusion like an hive-mind. I feel proud of this community(the ghidzilla community)

I say yes to the babygirlification of Godzilla. He's an old sad man and need cuddles and gay sex.

I really don't know xD I guess we collectively came to that conclusion. Goji is a grumpy old man who's been through a lot, he deserves a rest on some strong, golden and sheltering wings.

I also like the idea that someone so strong and protective can sometimes feel defenseless and need the care of his partner :)

Anthro Godzilla AU Idea

Been thinking about this for a while, maybe it’s fun

Everything is upscaled, Titans are human like and live a lot like humans. With houses, clothes, electronics etc.

Godzilla is the “King” of a district he lives in. He pretty much runs the whole place. He’s the overseer, the bouncer and security. Godzilla protects the place, as it’s his home and he keeps the balance. Everyone has to follow the rules to keep the peace, or you get and ass whopping from a big, grumpy lizard man. When he’s not “working” he spends his time at home napping, at his best buddy’s Anguirus’s kiosk (to get his snacks and talk), at Barb’s bar in the evening, the weekend at Kong’s gym to work out and the rest at the temple to spend time with his sweet angel Mothra.

The district has:

- Barb’s bar. She’s the owner and barkeeper. Popular place to hang and get drunk. She likes flirting with the male patreons. Also live music in the evening. - Rodan’s mexican style restaurant. If you’re hungry, this is the place to go. Famous for everything spicey. Don’t insult his cooking though, or the fiery Chef will chase you with the biggest knife he has and curse you in Spanish.

- Mothra’s temple. She’s the priestress and helps everyone in need. You need a place for a night and a meal? She’ll help you out. Need a blessing for your family? She’ll bless you. You need someone to talk to in dark times? She’ll listen and give advice and help you back on your feet. She’s also the place’s healer.

- King Kong’s gym. He’ll help you get fit and swoll! He also teaches Yoga and to meditate, if you have anger issues. He’s a pretty nice dude! Just don’t piss him off.

- Scylla’s pet shop. Scylla is also known as the “frog lady” as she keeps many pet frogs in a pond at her house. They keep pests away. She has everything you need for your beloved pets. Even human farms to keep for your kids. (Humans exsist, but they’re more like how we see ants)

- Methusela’s flower shop. Everything green. Often donates flowers to decorate the whole place during festivals. He also sell’s fruits and vegetables on the street market.

- Behemoth’s Café. He makes the best coffee and breakfast menus. Pretty place to hang out in the morning. Open until the evening. 

- Angurius’s kiosk. You need snacks? Something to read? He got the stuff. Information? He’s got your back. Angurius knows everything that’s happening around the place.

- King Ghidorah. Foreign business man, wants to tear down the place to grow his little empire. He’s got the money for it. Ghidorah owns a lot of big businesses. San is pretty good with the stock market. He knows when to buy and when to drop. Also he works with bitcoins. Ichi manages everything and also has the last word in everything. He makes most of the decisions. Ni keeps an eye especially on their underlings. Wouldn’t be the first time someone would try to trick them or be lazy with their job. Ni makes sure you do your job and you better do it RIGHT! Ghidorah also isn’t scared of getting his claws dirty and doesn’t shy away from a physical fight. Got in quite a few tossles with Godzilla already.

Now, how does my OC Jira fit in this?

Instead of believing his sister to be dead, Jira is in a coma. There was an accident at their old house when Goji and Jira were kids, shortly after their father died. She’s been at the hospital ever since. Most of Godzilla’s money goes into her medical bills, the rest is for living expenses. She’s been in a coma for 15 years by now, but he refuses to let her go. She’s the only relative he has and keeps hoping she’ll wake up again. He visits her every 2 days and just talks, keeping her up to date with things.

Once she wakes up they live together. She starts working as a waitress in Behemoth’s Café in the morning and plays guitar and sings in Barb’s bar some nights. Ghidorah met her at the Café and actuallly enjoyed the cute, flirty waitress with the big mouth, random puns and threats and compliments she throws at him, throwing through a loop.

That’s all I have so far ^^

Did you pick up the new Godzilla monsterverse comic yet? If not, I recommend that you do. It has some stuff in it that I'm sure you would enjoy!

I did!! I’ve read Godzilla Dominion but haven’t had a chance to read Kingdom Kong yet, though I did pick it up as well. 

I really enjoyed the way it was written, the descriptions of how Goji sort of feels the Earth and can like, sense things through it?? was cool. The whole comic mostly focusing on him being a tired old man looking for a quiet radiation vent to eat from makes it a vast improvement over Aftershock imo. To be honest, I do not like Amhuluk’s design, it feels kinda... off. I still have no clue what his actual forms are?? It reminds me of MUTO Prime in the worst way, like overdesigned to the point of feeling sorta nonsensical. But! I really like Tiamat and Na Kika. Tiamat is grumpy but I forgive her because she’s pretty. Na Kika is a sweet baby angel and I’ll protect her with my life. A bit of a side note but poor Behemoth man!! I hope he can grow back his tusk. UnU

I also heard about the Mothra mentions before picking it up but it still made me kinda emotional :’) Goji remembering her and reflecting on her sacrifice/that he’s alive because of her is just... my heart. I’m glad Legendary has accepted it as canon and is willing to give my Moth Mom the honour she deserves <3
