kuroo making a mixtape for suga that he slips into suga's bag before karasuno leaves tokyo, thinking "oh he'll be so surprised and it'll be so romantic." [real reason: he kind of chickened out of giving it to him face-to-face] only for suga to text him later like "hey, so i don't have a cassette player? :/" and kuroo is like... Oh. he can't even attempt to be smooth and go "we can listen together" because suga is like five hours away now. yaku laughs at him.

#i don't even have a tape player #i'm gonna get a cassette-to-mp3 converter when I have more frivolity cash #anyway #East Coast It Notes #released an actual to goddamn mixtape #and since he boosted my friend's GFM I decided to repay the gesture #but damn i always hated cassettes even as a kid #i couldn't make the switch to CDs fast enough #i love physical media don't get me wrong but cassettes??#at least when I get a converter I can browse goodwill's collection of tapes which are like fifty cents as opposed to a few dollars for CDs #damn I really am becoming a luddite

#keios #album art #another one by storm #he's done most of the covers for pink floyd #the references to the previous album covers in this one 👌#i actually don't own any pink floyd albums except this compilation on cd.. i should fix that #i remember using happiest days of our lives/another brick on the wall as bass/subwoofer test tracks when i was buying my first 2.1 setup #the velodyne is still going strong - as are my main sonus faber speakers that i also bought back then (about 20 years ago)#but i don't own a dedicated cd player anymore #i just have this portable usb player that i use with my desktop setup #i have an external dac that's connected to my main av receiver and i use foobar with wasapi which has a great sound quality #i used to use the dac mostly with my headphone amp setup but i haven't really been listening with headphones any more #i could sell some of them but. i might get into them again so i won't lol #oh and i meant to say external usb player #i mean it IS portable in theory but i have it attached to a desktop so. not really ideal for lugging around lol

Trying to listen to music with non paid Spotify and YouTube and no CDs of what i want to listen to is more like. Well. I'd LIKE to listen to some fucking music, but I'm in ads and malfunctioning app hell instead

Listening to Fleetwood Mac 'Dreams' on a CD, even though it's not the intended medium (as it should be a vinyl) already feels so unreal, some music literally wasn't meant for streaming

#i don't have many cds but i play the ones i have on the reg #and my player is not high quality BUT the ambience of it adds to the experience #and it doesn't take away ANYTHING from Fleetwood Mac interestingly #the quality loss was designed into those old recordings #i wish producers nowadays thought of that
