ok mercury retrograde is a fic based on a really goofy premise called "what if i shit on all the canon pairings at once?" via the medium of gaalee fanfic. it's essentially a story told from all of the other konoha 12 POVs where everyone on earth is having relationship (or pining) problems except, apparently, gaara and lee, who (in the POV of non-overlapping people, so no one makes the connection) seem to have secret paramours that are perfect for them hooHA. some start pairs include sasusaku, naruhina, and inosai, and end pairs being sns, inosaku, kibahina, etc. shikatema and chokarui stick the landing but. i like them well enough xo

Hello! If you're still reading this, that means you're interested in all the basics I posted above. I'm a 21+F and I don't care what you are. I'm looking to hammer out some bodyguard-esque themed RPs--preferably with a fantasy, supernatural, monstrous or otherwise magical twist. Knights would be so freaking good right now. 😭❤️ But yes--I'd like to play it out where the pair absolutely cannot fall in love, for example, the Regis x Clarus ship from FF15. I'm not looking to play out that ship, but if you know, you know.

I'd really love some Prince x Knight, or something along those lines, be it modern day (with Knights still being a thing because lore and world building reasons!) or set in a fantasy world with names that we can actually pronounce, I'm so down for this. If you're looking for hardcore high fantasy with Ageulisk Maximu'sklur as your main character, I'm not sure we'll be a fit. I can do high fantasy, but please don't expect me to invent complicated locations/names for things.

I usually RP every day, but frequency of posts depends on how much I have on my plate and how bad my health is. I'm on a year-long medical leave, so I have tons of time on my hands. Anyways, I'm not opposed to monster shenanigans, with monsters doing the plowing, nor am I opposed to the bodyguard being forced into his position as a slave. The dom character can be either one, I don't care. I prefer my subs to be dynamic characters, not just pretty things to look at who throw themselves at my muses. I can also mumu, if we see fit for the story. Lots of growth here. Potential 🍪 if they're growing up together or with an age gap.

I love me some healthy dose of smut, but if you love storybuilding and plot that comes WITH a healthy dose of smut, then this is the right one for you.

But, with a blog like this, I have also dealt with more than enough shitty treatment from folks that could fill up several thick books.

One of the worst things to me is people treating me differently based on whether I ship with them/don't ship with them/don't ship enough with them.

They would be really nice to me (To the point of acting like we are besties) when we ship, only to ignore me or act like they don't know me-- when I want to interact with them on another muse. To a point that they also won't even try to discuss anything with me anymore on Discord, despite how hard I try.

When I first made this Itsuki blog for an already small fandom, others in the fandom didn't even TRY to interact with her.

Everyone was very, VERY focused on shipping (Alas, the issue of a series where mainly the hot guys are focused on, with the anime series also doing this yaoi tease thing with them that was hardly in the games themselves), that there was no consideration at all for platonic interactions in any manner. I can't tell you the number of asks I sent in and starters I wrote for them that just went unanswered... and so yeah, this was why I started venturing out, and am now so heavily doing crossovers.

I have also had one real nasty piece of work (Who tried to ship and smut with EVERYONE in the fandom) treat me and Itsuki like utter garbage on this blog for no real reason other than the fact that I was the only one really RPing a kid (Who ofc cannot be shipped) out of everyone (And on my other samurai blog at the time where I RPed a female muse)... UNTIL I added male side muses who were very popular to ship with (AKA, Masamune).

And despite me making it clear that I had no intention to do so with them (Especially my Masamune), that person's tune had changed pretty damn quickly. As she tried to be nicer to Itsuki IC (It was INCREDIBLY ABRUPT and honestly made my snow child scared ROFL!), while also doing nothing but pestering my boy day in and day out... while I ofc was not falling for any of that bullcrockery, it was still gross af. Especially when she still continued to pester me for him, even after I posted about being in the hospital during that one time...

Hell, someone came back recently... and despite me remembering her, she didn't remember me at all, but immediately remembered my friend who she clearly just wanted to ship with then and now.

I could go on but I think I have rambled enough... platonic ships are so ridiculously underrated to me... and I truly just love each and every single platonic relationship Itsuki has to this day. Be it friends or familial.

muse a and muse b hooked up this past summer and were hot 'n heavy. muse a thought things were great and they were getting serious, only to be blindsided when muse b broke things off to get back together with their ex. muse a pretended they weren't upset and they pair never talked about things again. except, muse b is single again and muse a? well, they just can't resist going back to their bad habit.

muse a and muse b are famous singers. they were always in each other's social circle, and always laughed it off when fans would ship them together. everything changed one night when they shared a drunken kiss. ever since then, muse a has been completely smitten with muse b. and while muse b knows they have muse a wrapped around their finger, they try their best not to take advantage of them - too much. their relationship is currently under wraps, but how will they be able to handle it when they finally go public?

muse a and muse b are polar opposites - muse a has always been a goody two shoes while muse b has been a troublemaker for as long as anyone can remember. proving opposites attract to be true, the pair can't stay away from each other and soon get together. muse a's friends are constantly warning them that muse b is just going to break their heart, but muse a doesn't want to hear it. meanwhile, muse b is constantly torn between treating and caring for muse a the way they know they deserve and proving muse a's friends right. can muse b truly change their ways?

muse a and muse b met when they were in college. a drunken hook up turned into a pregnancy, and due to pressure from both their families to "do the right thing" end up getting married. they aren't in love with each other, but they do grow to love each other and their little family a lot. over the years, muse a realizes that they have actually fallen in love with muse b, and decide they're finally going to tell them. the only issue? the same night they decide to break the news, muse b tells muse a they feel they've been "missing out" and want a divorce.

PORTRAYAL NOTES ( NOT SPOILER FREE) (IT'S BEEN FIVE YEARS)

it has been 3 years since flayn was last here, so i understand that it may be confusing to have her suddenly drop in with all of the progress she's made. i will have a more detailed explanation for her "disappearance" soon but, for now, we can handwave it and assume that she's been here this whole time, just preoccupied with other things which is why no one's seen her.

my interpretation is based mainly on her in academy phase, once you've recruited her. so you can assume she has already been kidnapped and all that jazz.

three hopes revealed to us that flayn is prone to overexertion due to her actions in the war. this was something missing from my old interpretation that i'll be integrating into things i see fit.

people who know seteth may also be familiar with flayn; students of the blue lion house should also be familiar with her (and she will be similarly familiar with them) so you're free to skip the pleasantries and go straight to action.

flayn is a nabatean, and while fellow dragonkin (or even particularly nosy humanfolk) may sense or suspect something up with her identity, it's a fact that won't be explicitly known by people who aren't seteth or rhea. so even if you and i know who she really is, your muse won't. having her reveal this to other people is not out of the question, but will take a long time and lots of trust.

similarly, her identity as seteth's daughter should be secret to everyone except for her, seteth, rhea, and other nabateans. so your muse wouldn't know the true nature of her familial relationship with seteth unless she says so (but this is something i feel she has less reason to reveal, as it implicates seteth too)

yaaaay, she's finally in! hi everyone, it's sera or sarah (whichever you prefer because i like both) and i'm here with my girl, bae doha - a tier c agent who mostly works in espionage, a girl can show many sides to her personality simultaneously which is probably considered crazy to most people but i swear it's not her fault. if any of your muses want to engage in some wild shenanigans, please do like to plot and i'll come over to u to plot and possibly share discords if you want that! i'll put a hopefully (?!) shortened little summary of her under the cut! if you want something more in depth, you can look at her profile here as well!

when i decided to write her, automatically i thought of spy x family as a tiny part of her backstory was inspired by it if you couldn't tell already!!

doha in a way, is trying to figure out the cause of her parents' deaths, as in who turned their house into a fire cockpit so she has been trying to get her hands on documents or sensitive information on any villain she can encounter on missions (if she feels as if they could be the cause of it).

by the way, she was about to die too in that house but her mom basically protected her til the very end and she did survive long enough to be saved.

from the orphanage she stayed at, that was when her abilities started to go out of control and she would manifest like multiple copies of herself so they'd have an extra two dohas running around. doha was just that one kid who stands in the corner, a lonely kid but with the ability to make clones of herself, people see her differently.

she got adopted at the age of 11 from super spy parents and you'd think that normal parents look for a child because they just want a normal little happy family, right? well it was like shopping to them when they decided to take doha home. her powers intrigued them and everything and they thought simply having a baby was too much work.

went into school fairly early, like a month after she got taken home from the orphanage. private school in korea pretty much, which had her parents pull some strings in order to get her into it but it worked, due to her mom's profession. went there until she was able to pass exams in order to enter the academy, which she ultimately joined once she was sixteen. finished in the top five basically, barely made it up there actually!

has been a tier c agent for not even a full six months? she's still pretty new. she has gotten better at espionage though due to her father's teachings in combat and her mom tries to help her temper her own emotions; got her charm from her.

you can be charming and be a loser at the same time, that's doha basically. the number of times she embarrasses herself during a mission was plenty but thankfully no one notices.

but anyone can definitely find other sides to her if they encounter any of her clones around doha's vicinity. just a warning that one may be meaner than the other or one much more confident and less embarrassing than the original. in the end, they are all still her. real doha is more empathetic at least.

all still her in terms of personality, ones that are buried i guess!

I'd really love some Prince x Knight, or something along those lines, be it modern day (with Knights still being a thing because lore and world building reasons!) or set in a fantasy world with names that we can actually pronounce, I'm so down for this. If you're looking for hardcore high fantasy with Ageulisk Maximu'sklur as your main character, I'm not sure we'll be a fit. I can do high fantasy, but please don't expect me to invent complicated locations/names for things.

I usually RP every day, but frequency of posts depends on how much I have on my plate and how bad my health is. I'm on a year-long medical leave, so I have tons of time on my hands. Anyways, I'm not opposed to monster shenanigans, with monsters doing the plowing, nor am I opposed to the bodyguard being forced into his position as a slave. The dom character can be either one, I don't care. I prefer my subs to be dynamic characters, not just pretty things to look at who throw themselves at my muses. I can also mumu, if we see fit for the story. Lots of growth here. Potential 🍪 if they're growing up together or with an age gap.

I love me some healthy dose of smut, but if you love storybuilding and plot that comes WITH a healthy dose of smut, then this is the right one for you.

My muse and your muse have been friends since middle school. They did everything together and I mean EVERYTHING. Played the same sports, shared the same friends and even went as far as making sure they had matching classes just to be with each other. They were really close and it has always remained that way. That was until my muse found a pretty lady he liked and she got in the way of our muses relationship with each other. After all these years, your muse has developed a massive crush on my muse and didn't want anyone else to take him away from him and my muse girlfriend had done just that. So, your muse takes it upon himself to kidnap my muse and keep him locked in your muse's home, away from everyone else. Of course, your muse would successfully kidnap my muse and keep him for himself, just not that easily. My muse isn't a small delicate man, but he isn't as tall and strong as your muse would be. My muse would eventually be put into submission my yours though! Once your muse gets mine where he wants him to be, my muse begins to see just how screwed up and love drunk your muse is for him and how he��d do anything to feel that love back, even if it's forced.

Now, plot two is very, very contrasting to plot one. This one may be a long shot as well. 🤷🏽

Our muses are in a nice healthy relationship though your muse has some past trauma (or maybe just bad mental health?) and is looking for a good way to try and cope with all the mental health issues they have. One day, while at a therapy session, your muse's therapist recommends trying age regression as a way to cope. Desperate to find any healthy way to escape the invasive thoughts in their head for a while, they go home to their partner (my muse) and brings up the idea. Willing to try and help your muse fight the battle with their trauma/mental health, my muse agrees to give it a try with yours and the two find that it's quite hard to grasp at first— as they both are still trying to figure everything out— but it's also something with positive results towards your muse. The two are pretty much living day to day life trying to get used to this new coping skills your muse wanted to try!

I am a semi lit writer, 1-3 paragraphs per reply and use discord or telegram to communicate. I am in the EST timezone and literally have nothing to do everything for the next few weeks so I'll be chronically active for a while! hello!!! my name is moth (she/her) and i'd love to get some more writing going while i do my replies! i write here on tumblr and also on discord!

i am a huge fan of anything horror related, dead dove, angsty, anything dark really. i enjoy writing smut but do not necessarily need it if you are uncomfortable.

some very basic plot ideas:

(yellowjackets based) Our muses get stranded in a remote area after a horrific plane crash. they must navigate young adulthood with the rest of the passengers starving, terrified, and hopeless. supernatural forces throughout the forest begin to make themselves known, and our survivors see themselves going down darker and darker paths until they cannot recognize themselves anymore, convinced society has moved on from rescuing them anymore

(serial killers/kill for hires lover) Muse A is a killer, and also a wonderful partner. muse B is their long term partner, blissfully unaware of their lovers real profession until muse B catches muse A in a very compromising position. lots of angst, hurt/comfort, dark themes

(haunted) our muses are urban explorers, they find themselves inside an old abandoned theme park from decades ago, decaying from the inside out. while walking around, they discover that they haven't seen the way out, or any way out, even once. things are moving that shouldn't be, and they are hearing more and more off putting noises. what happens when the spirits finally show themselves? how will our muses appease them, or fight to escape?

(​​​​​​​apocalypse) muse A and muse B are life long enemies, constantly trying to one up the other and always hating being around each other. when they are forced to work together on a work project and the apocalypse hits, they are forced to either let their pettiness win and be alone through all of this horror, or stay together and try to survive as a team. various traumatic events bond them closer and closer until they discover hidden feelings beneath layers of vines. enemies to lovers

THE BASICS !! ⭒ born in vancouver, canada, on one of the hottest summer days ever - which is ironic, truly, considering how bad he hates the weather. ⭒ mostly known as jake, though he always secretly preferred to be called hansol. ⭒ though he knew of the gene, he still happened to be a late bloomer: got it in the middle of math class, spurted silky web threads all over the hair of his crush and became a social reject after that! ⭒ his ability is arachnid physiology, by the way. ⭒ which, as you can imagine, didn't do well with people considering that spiders are apparently enemy number one of the state! ⭒ regardless, he somehow got through high school: the lack of party invites forced him to focus more on his studies, which ultimately made him graduate with honours. ⭒ and there was the scholarship too - thank god for it, considering how broke his parents were. ⭒ ( real nice folks, by the way. ) ⭒ so went to college in software engineering and his parents moved back to south korea. it was fine, totally. got amazing grades until he started to slip ( which coincidentally happened when he began to play superhero with his friends at night. ⭒ and instead of studying, naturally, he thought it would be a good idea to hack into his grade portals to turn his d's into a's. ⭒ like, honestly, it worked for a month or two. until someone noticed, until he got expelled. ⭒ though truthfully, he honestly didn't care much for school anyways. his only ever felt real drive when perched over his desk at night, working on engineering his own suit: he would get scraps he'd find in mechanical engineering labs, he would spend nights dissecting little gadgets and incorporating them in his suits. he would spend a lot of time with spiders, too - though he hated them at first, he grew to love them. they were like him in more ways than one. so he would study them until he could fully and truly become them.

⭒ he spent the next year or so in vancouver doing just that: engineering his suit, swinging around buildings, and fighting petty ( and not so petty ! ) crimes behind his mask. ⭒ he also conveniently forgot to tell his parents about the whole college thing. ( they always sounded so proud and happy on the phone: did he HAVE to disappoint them ?! )

THE PRESENT . . . ISH !!

⭒ he rushes to south korea upon hearing that his mother is sick : they tell him that it isn't bad over the phone, but when he first visits her, he can see how much she has wilted in the cold hospital bed. ⭒ he doesn't hate seoul because it sucks - he hates it because he can feel it reject him. it doesn't feel like vancouver : he doesn't know each and every corner of the city, he doesn't understand the intricacies of it. ⭒ his parents are still under the impression that he attends school in software engineering, that he has a stable job, that he isn't late on rent every . single . month . ⭒ it takes him a hot minute to adjust, but soon enough he finds himself swinging between the tall buildings of the city. people begin to recognize him here and there, and while most of them talk about him like he is a nuisance (considering the damage he often causes when fighting crime), he still does some good. ⭒ maybe it isn't so bad, after all. maybe with time, it will get better. he has always preferred to be called hansol, anyways.

★  BEST EXPERIENCE: Meeting my girlfriend through RP has to be at the top of the list, and meeting some really great friends too. Just talking about the IC stuff, idk, I'm pretty happy with how things have been going recently?

★  PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION: IMs are okay but discord is best! I am very chatty on discord sometimes, and the search function is really helpful for me when it comes to going back and finding old things. I'm also just on discord basically all day in some capacity, so I rarely miss things for long.

★  MOST ACTIVE MUSE: I can basically write any of my DR OCs at the drop of a hat, although Shinobu is the one who I am currently writing most, and have the easiest time writing because of that. I think for me, though, it's more "do I have energy/creativity to write right now at all" rather than if I have muse for a specific character or not - it's not usually the case that I struggle with a specific character at a time when I'm otherwise writing easily.

★  EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS: I started off on a forum in maybe 2006 or 2007, did some stuff on livejournal, had a cup of coffee at Gaia Online, and settled on Tumblr in maybe... 2012? 2013? I've done some things on discord (don't love it for RP) and google docs (it's okay) since then, and a handful of other places, but I think I'm just Here Now, like furniture.

★  RP PET PEEVES:  

I have talked about these all so many times so I'll try to keep it brief hahaha.

People who repeatedly drop threads without reaching out to say anything (this is my #1 pet peeve), and people who generally cycle "taking on too many asks/drafts, then dropping all of them, repeat."

People who habitually archive/delete and remake their blogs, especially if they don't make any changes to how they run things, who they interact with, etc. I see it as, like "bringing your bed to your new apartment and being confused as to why you still have bedbugs."

People who post tons of OOCs, as well as things like memes, starter calls, ship calls, etc. while having a massive backlog of drafts and inbox things already.

People who treat OCs/female characters/female OCs dismissively, or as stepping stone interactions.

★   PLOTS OR MEMES: Plots. I honestly don't like memes very much since I feel like they seldom lead to the kind of long-term interactions I like the most, but they're so entrenched on tumblr that I just kinda have to accept them. I would much rather talk to people and plot out loose thread ideas than send in a dialogue prompt from a movie I haven't seen and hope it gets answered and hope that that answer feels like something I can respond to and hope that my reply gets replied to and it's actually a thread. I like doing stuff that develops across multiple threads too, and plotting is much better for that.

★  ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: Not really, I don't think. There are pieces of me in all of my characters, of course, and there are superficial similarities sometimes in terms of like, hobbies or interests, but I think the characters who feel like they got more of me mixed into them are like, D&D characters, or characters from my other blogs.
