Sushi, that's Brad had been craving for a while. The thought of a nice roll along with some sake would be the perfect end to a stressful day at the office. Deciding on walking, Brad found himself at the sushi bar, sipping on some water while waiting for his order. Looking around he spotted a familiar face alone at a small table over to the side. Sliding off his seat, he walked on over to her, a cup of sake in each hand. "The sexy doctor over at the sushi bar thought you looked lonely," he stated before placing the glasses down in the table and sitting down opposite Celine. "Though if you're totally not alone that that very same guy will forget this ever happened.

"What's a girl have to do around here to get in an emergency meeting with the mayor, hmm?" Zehra had to admit, making a visit out here on her lunch break from the call center hadn't exactly been on her to do list for today, but, after her second call that morning from a medical emergency at the outdoor shopping center this morning alone proved there was a much bigger problem than she'd originally thought. "I don't know what I need to do - sign some paperwork, bring in proof, whatever that policy is - but, something has to be done about either affordable water at the outdoor shopping center - three dollars a bottle is absolutely absurd, after all! - or a shaded area for people to sit at." she rambled, realizing she was presenting the problem to someone that had no say so in the matter she was sure. Beyza had spent the afternoon baking for Devrim's class while he was out with his dad and after finding that she had made too much, she packed up what extras she had and headed to Emre's apartment. It may have been an excuse to go up to see him, but she'd take any excuse to see him. She was finding herself wanting to spend all the time with him she could and it made her nervous, but also excited. She made her way up their and knocked on the door, but the person on the other side wasn't who she was expecting. If she didn't recognize her as Emre's sister, Celine, she would've thought maybe she was at the wrong apartment. "Oh, hi. Is Emre here?"

Earlier that day, Tony ran into Celine at the store and the two had a friendly casual conversation.  One thing stuck in his mind though, she needed some handiwork help around the house.  The young man felt terrible, she was such a nice lady and had a hard time with her ex-husband being in prison.  Plus his heart went out to her and her two kids.  Unable to get her off his mind, he decided to take it upon himself to lend a helping hand, which led to him ‘borrowing’ his brother’s toolbox without permission.  Outside her front door shirtless (because every video he’s seen with a man going to a MILF’s house started the same exact way), Tony rang the doorbell and leaned and he flashed a smile when the door opened enough to see her on the other side.  “You needed someone to look at those pipes?”

Everyone worked hard on making this auction a night to remember and he was grateful to his staff; especially his assistant. “Gabi,” Celine hissed, trying not to raise her voice, lest she draw more attention to the two of them. Her sister only rolled her eyes in response but she did drop the insanely overpriced purse she had in her hand.

“You wanted to come in here, you know this isn’t the kind of place you can just pick things up. If you damage it, they’ll make you pay for it,” she scolded, earning herself another eye roll. Which she probably deserved. She knew that if she was twelve years old again she would be having a ball in here. The high domed roof, the golden balconies, the gleaming tiled floor; it was like a fairytale castle come to life filled with designer clothes and handbags. Except now she was an adult, and she knew most things there cost more than she made in a month. And they were supposed to be buying Gabrielle new school shoes, not shopping the new Christian Dior collection.

Still she was being led across the shop floor by her sister, literally. She dragged her right into an oncoming shopper, Silently fuming, Celine prepared to multitask by both apologising to the stranger and giving her little sister the sternest stare she could muster. Except those plans flew out the window when she realised that the person she had bumped into wasn’t a stranger at all.

“Uh, Gabi you can...,” she glanced over her sister’s shoulder, “The shoes are over there.”

She could sense a conversation coming as she looked back at the person she had shoulder barged. She didn’t think it would be a particularly long one, it wouldn’t have been if she was on the other side. But she didn’t really want her little sister eavesdropping.

“Hey,” she said, trying to sound less like she was about to vomit, “It’s been a while.”

“i admire your bravery,” he comments, eyeing the suspicious-looking bowl of soup in the other’s hands. the chances of the town-wide soup collaboration going well was slim to none, river thinks. there was always somebody who spiked the stew with some random ingredient that ruined the entire thing every year. “i don’t think i’ll ever have the courage to join the potluck.”

That must be such a good job, fillin’ your heart with joy and the wee little ones makin’ you smile and all that.... I thought... That’s a good job...” Taking a deep breath, he turned toward her more fully, blue eyes staring at her and his face a more serious look. “But when you told them it was my birthday and they asked me how old I was, that was fine, no problem. Thirty-Six, I said, you remember, and the looks on their faces.” His eyes going wide, the shock of it, “They were bein’ so silent at first but the looks of their little eyes,” he huffed softly. “And then... The little boy just went, wow. You’re ancient!”  He tilted his head, letting out a laugh. “I’m....” He shook his head, half in amusement, half in disbelief. “Celine. Your children murdered me in cold blood. My ego is shaken. I’m...” He shook his head once more. “There’s no bullet proof vest for that sorta thing, just.... Wow. Just wow, really. I’m old. It’s official. You have an old boyfriend. How do we feel ‘bout that?”
