If anyone was going to enjoy lifting up a giant rainbow parachute with a bunch of other people to then climb under and sit to just enjoy the moment together, it was going to be Marcus. Leaning back on his hands as they kept his part of the parachute in place, he glanced up at the rainbow dome the group currently found themselves under with a fond look on his features. Thus far, the festival was a really nice way to conclude a summer he hadn't predicted but enjoyed all the same. "Man, I can't remember the last time I was under one of these things." Well, he sort of could, it was definitely some time in elementary school. "If this thing didn't eventually start to come down, I think I could stay here until the next performer went up on stage." A light laugh accompanied his words as he made conversation with the person sat next to him. "Can't imagine the other people waiting to use this would be too happy about that though."

Here and there Thaddeus would visit the local apothecary.  Most of the time, he would just get the basic items for healing, protection and other things.  However, since the mist it felt as if he needed to completely go all out when it came to the safety of his daughter.  Although he felt better than ever he noticed a change in his soon to be five year old and it was concerning.  Before the mist, he had to fight with her to take a nap and now she was napping all the time and feeling lethargic and the doctors still did not know what was taking place with the supernatural creatures.

As he browsed the store, he noticed a blondish woman and headed towards her.  “Excuse me miss, do you work here?”  he questioned in a soft timid voice.  Thaddeus had always been mild tempered and often very bashful around people.  “I don’t mean to be a bother, just trying to figure out if there is anything that might help my daughter.  She has been feeling under the weather since the mist.”

Marina didn't want to talk about the dark cloud that hung over the city waiting to strike at any moment. It was becoming too hard to even get up in the morning nowadays with how many tragedies had struck.

Tèa sat at her table, pretending she was more interested in her food than a certain priest she had spotted just across the way. She hadn’t expected him to be in this unimpressively small town, much less pick the same damn restaurant she had decided to have lunch at. This was either a strange coincidence, or whatever forces that dropped her here were also orchestrating this to taunt her, her specifically.

She sighed, trying to hide the crawling blush on her face as her eyes pried away from her food and back to the notes she had laid next to her. Tèa was still a long way from her target destination, some place in the New World she believed housed documents pertaining to holy magic. It was a long shot, but she had to at least look into it, otherwise the art will remain lost.

She grumbled to herself, picking at her food while she tried to steal a couple of glances towards the priest, hoping that she hadn't been noticed. It didn't take long for her inattention to be her downfall, however, as wind picked up and snatched the loose papers and blew them away.

"Son of a bitch, really??" she muttered herself. There was no way she could get herself lost, she'd get herself killed doing that.

Tèa took a deep breath before moving from the table to pick up the scattered remnants of her notes. Unfortunately, a few pieces had scuttled themselves over to the priest's table. Oh shit.

She felt frozen, her mind not sure how to proceed. She needed those papers, but that meant she had to interact on some level. Just my luck…

In the end she decided to be brave, her shyness be damned.

Usually a bright addition to any ball, the second daughter of Lord and Lady Lawrence had been a decidedly more subdued presence of late; and though there were rumours aplenty about what the reason for this could be, nobody seemed to know the truth. "you were starting to look a little..." robin had to carefully think about the color. sometimes she would overthink things. sometimes she would just blurt something out and ramble. it all just depended on what mood of buckley you got at any given time. "gray...like you know when the clouds first come out on a dreary day...you were like that color, vi." and it seemed violet would get a garden mix of it all. overthinking and rambling. "I thought i'd better get you outside before you passed out and died in there." she now hovered around the other girl just looking her over with concern and making sure she was okay without realizing that this too was probably annoying. you meet ochako outside your shared apartment building, your eyes making out her soft brunette hair. You bound up to her, your messenger bag knocking her canvas one. 

“y/n!!” she greets, her lips breaking into a grin as she offers you a side hug. the two of you head in the direction of the school, the distance only being a 10 minute walk. you both walk side by side, giggling and chattering away as the walk began to feel exponentially shorter.

the two of you arrive at the university library, walking in through the automatic doors. ochako’s telling you about the time all her roommates tried (and failed) to make a dozen cupcakes for izuku’s birthday before you feel a firm shoulder crash into yours. you feel ochako’s hands gripping onto your arms to steady you before she whips her head around to tell off the man, but before she can the violet-haired boy is already opening his mouth, his eyes locked on you.

“i’m so sorry, y/n, are you okay?” shinso asked hurriedly, his hand hesitantly sticking out to steady you if need be. you turn to face him, your lips quirking upward.

“oh yeah, no big deal shinso,” you say, waving a hand to bypass the subject. “what are you doing at the library?” you blurt out, your hand fidgeting with the strap on your bag.

“just trying to get some peace and quiet, and then shoto texted me saying he found sugar’s throw up so i was rushing out the door and knocked into you, which i am still sorry about.” he explains, his hand coming up to rest against the side of his neck. “what about you?” he asks, his eyes peering at you through the curtain of mauve hair partially blocking the upper half of his face.

“me and ochako were just checking out the textbooks we’ll need for the next semester, but don’t let me keep you! you should go and check on sugar,” you say, a worrying undertone highlighting your voice as shinso laughs softly.

“yeah..” he says softly, his eyes having an almost dreamy haze over them before he blinks, “yeah, i should. i’ll see you later?” 

“yeah, for sure.” you say, nodding as he gives an awkward wave and walks out of the building. you turn to look for ochako, your eyebrows furrowing as you notice her absence before seeing her over by the mulitude of textbooks, her eyes locked on you as a grin encompasses her features. you bound up to her, your grin matching hers as she bites her lip.

“soooo,” she draws out, her body leaning into yours as if you’re telling her some big secret. you roll your eyes, turning your head to scan for the textbooks you need.

“let’s just get our books,” you say softly, she giggles before turning to look for her own textbooks. the two of you quickly locate and check out all of the books you needed, but the library won’t leave your mind even as you unlock the door to your own apartment.

Intro

Hello. I’m the Attention Anon. First, a couple of things about how all of this works:

I’m giving people attention. My goal by doing this is to make people feel better. That’s the only reason. And from what I heard, it works, at least for some people.

Who and how often gets attention is based on the attention list. Currently it’s based on how much I think anyone needs attention, but I’m always open to suggestions. The rules on that are:

- Anyone can suggest new persons to the list

- Similarly, Anyone can ask for people to be moved up in the list (meaning getting Attention more often)

- Only you yourself can ask to be removed from or moved down on the list

- When a person is added to the list, at first they aren’t added to a specific bracket. Rather, they are sent attention daily until I can judge wether or not they want it and how much they need it, and then added to the appropriate part of the list

I keep loose tracks on everyone on the attention list, but don’t necessarily know everything about them.

If there is something you want to talk about, I’m always an option.

That being said, if it’s not urgent, I’ll answer asks and reblogs at a random point in time. I could answer immediately, I could answer in a day, regardless of when it was sent. If it’s urgent however, for example someone went missing, or you want to talk about something going on in your life, I will answer as soon as I can.

SONG OF THE SUMMER — THE DEBUT EP

SONG OF THE SUMMER is the debut EP of fictional pop group LIGHTSPEED. It was released physically and digitally on JUNE 20, 2024 by C ENTERTAINMENT. The group promoted title track LEFT RIGHT for four weeks: two weeks on Korean music shows and two weeks on American television. Their American promotions were followed by live shows in a few of the cities the members are from, including Los Angeles, New York City, and Calgary.

The album covers were designed by ASH. The physical release comes in three versions: SUN, MOON, and STAR. 

They also released six member versions of CD-only jewel cases. Shortly after the album’s initial print, they released a limited-edition vinyl, all of which were signed by one or more members.

With lyrics entirely in English, most of the songwriting is done by the group members rather than their Korean producers. CONSTANCE and ASH quickly emerged as the group's most prolific songwriters. Production was done by C Entertainment’s new in-house producer duo RHYTHMAGIC and by elusive producer LABYRYNTH, best known for his work with Lightspeed’s label mate, SEJUN. To fans’ surprise, Sejun also made a few appearances as a lyricist, keeping with his tendencies to write songs for everyone except himself.

The era’s styling was entirely in shades of black and white and gray. The outfits were inspired by TECHWEAR—coincidentally one of the many themed dance practices—as well as the CYBERCORE and Y2K FUTURISM aesthetics.

HIGHLIGHTS

They were clowned to hell and back for the album title. They also made a disgusting number of “Did I just write the song of the summer?” TikToks, which did not help their case. The only one that went viral was the one of Ev deadpanning the script alongside his signature stiff peace sign ending fairy pose.

The music was well-received and that made the title slightly less egregious. Then Tyler and Mia went on the record and said they didn’t like it and everyone went back to clowning it.

The division between the people with more media training (Violet and Mia) and the people with less media training (everyone else) became obvious very early on.

There were three not-quite-but-almost-there PR disasters. The first happened not long after their debut: Tyler finally deactivated his controversial Twitter account. He probably should have stopped tweeting after he passed the first IGNITE! audition but he didn’t. The fan response was split between those who supported this decision, because idols shouldn’t be tweeting shit about their peers, and those who thought maybe it’s time an idol got to talk his shit. Three days after his account was deactivated, it was reactivated again, causing, in the nicest way possible, a shitstorm on Luminosity Twitter. C Entertainment finally did a bit of damage control by releasing a statement saying that multiple people had access to the account, which no one believed.

The second one occurred during a DIY karaoke livestream where Constance was taking song suggestions from the audience and someone asked for a boy group song. She singled out the commenter, and took a leaf out of Violet’s book by responding she “couldn’t care less about boy groups” and anyway, the people in her stream should just “listen to Lightspeed instead of men.” Never mind that there are men in Lightspeed. 

The third and final close call happened in an off-handed comment Ash made. While they were discussing their favorite and least favorite moments from IGNITE!, he remarked about how poor of a representation their profile pictures were. Having recently re-edited and posted his pictures to Instagram, he had to keep going and mention that ever since he graduated from college, he doesn’t have access to legal Adobe products. Everyone else sat in silence after he revealed that until Violet forced the conversation to move along.

They filmed a dorm tour that went viral because their dorm is a house. With six bedrooms and two kitchens and a second floor. In Seoul.

Between the two centers, Mia was clearly the favored one. She was the center of every chorus and the center of every OT6 photo and styled slightly differently from the rest of the group. 

Ev’s songwriting credit on “Left Right” came from a competition the group members minus Ash and Constance held to write the second verse of the song. To almost everyone’s surprise, Ev won. He was the only person unsurprised, revealing that his university major prior to IGNITE! was English Literature.

The “Left Right” line distribution was surprisingly bad. Constance, Mia, and Tyler sang most of the song, and the rest of them were left with crumbs. #LetEvSing trended on Twitter after their album release, especially because he wrote part of the song.

SHIP RANKINGS

ASH X TYLER (ASHLER) — One of the most popular ships from IGNITE! for their past friendship. Every single publicly available pre-IGNITE! interaction—all five of them—are also subject to intense scrutinization. Haters will say they can't possibly be dating because they dap each other up too much.

MIA X TYLER (MYLER) — The two centers! They were paired together for everything. Their shared dance break in a “Left Right” special performance had a ridiculous amount of chemistry, and then they covered Trouble Maker’s “Trouble Maker.” Absolutely no moving on from that.

CONSTANCE X MIA (CONIA) — According to their shippers, Constance doesn’t look at the Mia in the same way she looks at everyone else. The evidence is in clips of the two of them making eye contact slowed down to 0.5x speed. Also, they were roommates for the entire last half of IGNITE! (Oh my god, they were roommates.)

ASH X CONSTANCE (ASHSTANCE) — They wrote almost every song together, but more importantly, in vlogs showing off the time they spent in New York, the two of them sat next to each other in every restaurant they ate at. Their alternate ship name is Cash.

TYLER X VIOLET (TYLET) — Similar to the above pairing, Tyler acts in a noticeably different way with Violet than everyone else. He’s usually easygoing and quick to laugh with everyone else—especially Mia—but he froze up in all of the one solo conversation he had on camera with Violet. Which is clearly enough to make a ship.
