Jefferson thought those two idiot kids should have guessed he'd be waiting for them, and yet when Miles and Miguel swung on to the roof of their apartment, they seemed surprised to see him. As if he wasn't a cop with access to the police scanner. As if he didn't have a TV and could watch the BREAKING NEWS, SHOTS FIRED AT SCENE OF ATTEMPTED ASSAULT IN CENTRAL PARK, SPIDER-MEN SEEN IN VICINITY. As if he couldn't connect two dots between the radio chatter of somebody saying they "shot the big guy but he just kept going".
"So," Jefferson, crossing him arms over his chest, "You had an interesting night."
"Did ... we?" said Miles.
Miguel just shrugged.
Jefferson's done that move before, back when he and Aaron had been up to some bullshit and were trying desperately to avoid consequences.
"So - nobody shot either you?"
"Okay, what were we - " Miles started. Miguel cut him off.
"Everything is fine, Mr. Morales. Miles isn't hurt, the woman in the park is safe, the two headed rat-man is back in his mother's custody."
"And nobody shot you four times?"
The dark lenses on Miguel's mask narrowed a little.
"My suit can't be penetrated by bullets of this time period."
Jefferson glared. It didn't seem to do much to Miguel - dammit, he should have brought a chair to stand on so he could do the dad-glare, it didn't work on somebody so tall.
"Miles, go downstairs and get changed before your mother catches you," Jefferson said. Miles nodded without saying anything and scrambled over the edge of the building to his bedroom, eager to get away from this confrontation.
"... I have a police scanner. I know you got shot."
Miguel's stiff postured relaxed with Miles gone - Jefferson got that, there was a certain pressure of trying to remain an Adult-Mode-Adult around a kid, "And Miles didn't."
"And you did!"
"I'm not hurt."
"You could have been!"
"Look - even if I'm ... Miles will be fine on his own too. He's good at this."
Jefferson grabbed his head with his hands and groaned, "That isn't what I'm talking about! I don't want you to get shot because I don't want you to get shot, kid! I'm worried about both of you!"
"...Why?" said Miguel.
"Because you - you - you're 27! BARELY 27, I know, because that orange lady mentioned you were born in September and it's November - and you have nothing in your kitchen but old yogurt and coffee! Jefferson started a little when he realized Miguel had taken a step back, his posture oddly guarded and defensive, the dark lenses on the mask wide. ... He should calm down - he'd seen people react like this enough to know the yelling was probably triggering something in the kid's brain that was processing badly.
"Kid - Miguel," Jefferson conceded, "Do you ... uh, do you want me to get you a coffee or something? A granola bar? Rio made some Arroz con Pollo, I could put some in a tupperware -"
"That's ... not necessary, Mr. Morales," said Miguel, the fight-or-flight leaving his posture.
"I feel like you probably don't have any food -"
"I'm fine, Mr. Morales, I can -"
"I would really feel better if you'd please take some goddamn chicken."
"... Okay. Thank you," Miguel said, his voice suggesting he was at like a peak stress level. Jefferson could relate.
"Okay, just - wait here - uh, Layla? Orange lady? Don't let him open a portal while I'm, uh."
"Okay, Jefferson," LYLA said from Miguel's watch. Miguel glared down at it and Jefferson hustled downstairs. He gave silent thanks that Rio was working an overnight shift so he wouldn't need to explain why he was packing food up at 11pm.
"You can bring the container back, uh, next time you're here," Jefferson said, handing the container over.
"Sure. Thank you, Mr. Morales."
Miguel turned stiffly and opened a portal back to his home dimension.
"You can call me Je -" Jefferson called as the portal snapped shut.

It all started with how he was born..Or rather created. A test tube baby, born inside one of the Mishima Zaibatsu's medical facilities, Yuki was just one of many children created for its failed, artificial devil gene empowered, super soldier program. Experimentation was all Yuki knew. With only two of the scientists ever showing him kindness. Doctor Emma Kliesen and Doctor Ameila Carey. Who gave him, at the time, an assigned female at birth child. a name, Eliza.
When Yuki was 8 years old, Ameila sacrificed her life to save Yuki. From there he was placed in an orphanage. But shady dealings behind the laye doctor's back resulted in him being adopted unusually quickly to an Irish couple. Who wanted to mould him into an obedient assassin. He lived with them until the age of fourteen. Were upon him coming out as transgender. He was thrown out onto the streets. At 15 a failed pickpocket attempt ended up with Yuki being fostered by Chaolan Lee. The violet labs owner seeing himself in Yuki. From that point on. Yuki was raised alongside Ai Jian, Lee's adoptive daughter. Once old enough, Yuki began studying at a University in Russia, both as a desire to learn and to hide him from both the Zaibatsu and the creature known as Ogre. It's here that he met Sergei Dragunov, before he was known as the white angel of death. The two have an on and off again relationship. 
When 19 Yuki learnt of his biological father, Hayato Kiyori. Their reunion cut short when Hayato seemingly died to save Yuki and his half sister, Ayame from the Tekken Force after Ayame had refused to take part in a despicable order. With Ayame hiding in Italy. Yuki connected with her mother and Hayato's love. Safiya. More so when she saved his life after a betrayal and aided him through the drug and drink abuse that followed.
When the war hit. Yuki acted as first one of his father Chaolan's many spies, then a supply runner and sniper for Yggdrasil. 
Now that the war has ended. Yuki lives with Sergei and the rest of his family. Enjoying the peace and taking the time to recover from traumas that he could finally talk about openly.

After watching Shipper'sGuidetotheGalaxy SuperBat videos, I was curious to see what movies I could find and watch online. The following fanfic is inspired by Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, where through the lens of a shipper is like watching Clark and Bruce act as a married couple trying to keep their adopted daughter, Kara, safe.

Now, onto the story!
Water splashed up against the rocks as the waves came rolling in, one after the other. The smell of fresh, exotic flowers lingered in the air as a breeze brushed past Clark. His sigh lifted up from slightly chapped lips as he leaned further down, against the white marble railing that circled around the cliff's edge.
He knew that Bruce and Dianna were right. Of course they were right. Kara couldn’t be around, no-.. She couldn’t be trusted to be around other people until she had control over her own powers.
The scene that had unfolded two nights ago, the destruction that Kara had caused, Dianna was right to point out that no one would be safe until Clark's cousin understood, and mastered, her powers.
They were all lucky that night that the only damage that Kara had caused was directed to that of a couple of trees, a park bench, and a statue of Superman. Him. He remembered how the statue’s head fell to the ground with a thud, cracked the pavement and rolled an inch or two towards the grass. What if that had been Batman or Wonderwoman? Lyla? An innocent…
He closed his eyes, shoulders hunching, as he breathed out. How could he let it come so close to that? How could he risk other people’s lives so carelessly? Feeling his breath start to grow cold, he opened his eyes and watched as the railing in front of him started to freeze over. He had spent years learning how to control himself, but Kara…
Kara was not ready, not yet.
Was he truly ready like he had once thought that he was, when he was ready to blindly trust family over what he knew to be right and rational? Bruce had been sceptical from the beginning and while Clark had teased him about, saying that Bruce was always ready to be so cynical, was he right to do so? Clark’s blind optimism had already led to one evening where someone could’ve gotten hurt.
It just didn’t make any sense. In any other situation, had it been someone else, someone that he didn’t.. know… Clark would’ve  been there right beside Bruce and Dianna, making the necessary steps to make sure that a new ally could be safe to be around others. That they had control over their own powers in the way that Kara certainly did not. Was this something that Clark didn’t realise about himself, that he’d be willing to risk others for family?
‘Trust me,’ Bruce had urged him that night at the park, standing just outside of the shadows and just a few feet away from Superman’s own decapitated statue. Trust him.
In the moment when Clark couldn’t trust his own judgement, he could trust in Bruce’s. The closest connection that he had, outside of his own family, and until Kara had come falling from the sky was Bruce. Clark had always counted on Bruce, on and off the field, but could the same be said for him?
Would Bruce still trust him, if he was so quick to be rash and illogical?
“I know that you don’t agree with us bringing her here,” started Bruce as he stepped up onto the landing, close to where Clark was.
“It’s not…” Clark lifted his head up, “that I don’t understand why she’s here, it’s just…”
“You’d rather that she was somewhere closer to home base. We don’t have the resources there. Dianna’s people have offered to help, that is… if you stop interrupting their training.” He made a pointed look to Clark.
“I told  you, I don’t want Kara hurt.” Clark frowned. “And Lyla’s vision has me on edge. We don’t know who could be planning an attack or when. We don’t know if it’s someone from within or-..
“Do you really think one of Dianna’s people would betray her like that?”
A silence stretched out between them, only filled by the gentle sound of waves crashing, as their eyes met. Clark imagined that to a lot of people, Bruce hiding his face behind his cowl would make having conversations like this hard, not being able to read the other person’s facial features, not being able to see what was being said in the other person’s eyes. But as the silence dragged on, and they continued to look at each other, Clark could tell that Bruce knew that there was something more that he wasn’t saying. And Bruce was simply waiting for Clark.
“I made the wrong call,” admitted Clark. “I thought she was like me. She wouldn’t hurt anyone, not intentionally,” he quickly noted, noticing how the cowl was slightly pinched above one eye - Bruce raising an eyebrow at him. “But I forgot… Kara has only been here for less than a month. She hasn’t had the time, like I have, to learn how to use her powers, how to control them… I fought you and Dianna because I believed that she would be like me, but I-
“Got it wrong,” finished Bruce.
Clark lowered his head and looked back down at the ocean, letting out a sigh. Getting it wrong meant putting others at risk, something that he swore he would never do again.
“Your blind optimism,” started Bruce, stepping closer over to Clark until their shoulders brushed, “while at times, frustrate me to no ends, is still an admirable quality. Certainly not something you’ll see me emulating anytime soon.” He smirked as he heard Clark let out a soft chuckle.
“Kara is your cousin, Clark, and we will keep her safe. We’ll train her to be able to use her abilities as well as you do, and in time, she’ll prove to be a useful member of our team just like you thought she’d be.”
“That is,” started Clark, “if she wants to be. It has to be her choice.”
“Of course,” agreed Bruce, “Now, what do you say we head back down there? $50 says that Kara will keep her next opponent on their toes.”
Clark smiled. “Reporter salary, remember? And there’s no way that I’m betting against my cousin.”

BACKGROUND:
ayanna grew up in a typical suburban family with an older brother and two loving parents to dote on her. coming from a stable family gave ayanna the opportunity to hone their creative talents and push herself to become the best version. starting in ballet at 7, moving to gymnastics at 10, then flute and piano at 12, until they took their first art class at 14 where they realized this is where they could truly express themself. change is not an issue for ayanna if it means going after what she wants.
her next four years of high school were something she only imagined happened in movies. crossing the canadian border to visit art museums in ontario with their friends, going to local farmers markets on the weekends, submitting their art to competitions hosted by the school. finding the next adventure was always first on the list for her and her friends, academics usually falling second. they didn't do bad in school, but definitely had no interest in going to university since they'd only want to pursue art, anyway.
after graduating high school, ayanna found herself moving from her cozy suburban town and leaving all of her friends to go "find herself" on a cross country road trip. their parents bought and converted a van for her, and she set off on her drive to washington. along the way they stayed in various cities for different amounts of time, working odd jobs here and there. each city they went to, she found an art studio where she was able to continue creating and often left the pieces behind for the studio to share with others.
about a year into the road trip, still meandering through the country while they slowly made it to their destination, she found herself stopped in arizona where she parked her van for 2 years. it was here that they met their long time ex-partner, who they would finish their roadtrip with. they met at a ceramics studio, where she realized she was actually really good at it. after the first date they were practically inseparable, alternating between staying in her van or her partner's apartment. eventually, they downsized lyla's apartment and started the roadtrip to washington where they lived in a tiny house until they broke up a year ago.
after the breakup, ayanna spent the first few months renovating her van that hadn't been used in quite a while; only for camping trips or little roadtrips they planned. after she'd started picking her pieces back up and using renovation as therapy, they decided it was time to pick up and start a new adventure. this is how they ended up in colorado, spending 6 months in colorado springs before driving the van to denver 2 months ago. currently, she parks her van outside of their apartment at the woods where they plan to convert it into her own ceramics studio.

Notes - I like the concept that Brian has an American name compared to Hana who has a more Korean name. The idea that Brian is an Idol and has been groomed for the industry is cool (and daunting when you think about the real world implications) and I like how many different paths this could go. Hana being new to the set is interesting because Brian has a dedicated fanbase, meanwhile, Hana doesn’t. Hana’s parents sacrificing everything to move back to Korean for her was a good plot point to include because it talks about the difficulties of a culture changing when you’re not there to see it happening. I really like the theme park scenes, and the way Brian and Hana interact with each other in a platonic sense. They’re genuinely so cute, and I can see how their relationship grew from where they started. The social media aspect of this book is the most interesting part to me, because writing an accurate portrayal of the way fans act will forever be changing, and it depends on what era it’s taking place in. Modern day social media is CRAZY AGGRESSIVE and this books captures that PERFECTLY. The mentions of sexism and misogyny is perfect and I’m so glad that it was talked about. The reveal that Minjee auditioned for the show around the same time that the fake dating plot plays out (And she gets the role) is a shock i wasn’t expecting. The rivalry that forms between them is interesting, and i love the drama of it all. The talk about paparazzi chasing Hana is really cool and i like the ways that the media is used in this book. The foreshadowing of Hana falling in love with Minjee is kind of obvious but only if you’re aware of what happens before you read. The talks of the homophobes in Korea was a well needed topic, and i love how they reveal Brian’s sexuality. It was smooth and done in a way to protect both of them, and i find it very sweet. Minjee dropping Hana is confusing because it’s not smoothed out that well (she just randomly drops her and stops being friends, though i can see how this is realistic for certain people. just not me!) and it’s revealed that she does this because she has feelings for her. The connection between the two is so cute, and their kissing scenes are amazing. I love the direction this book is going, and how dangerous it is for then to be together, professionally. I love the fake break up and i think the way Brian looks out for Hana is so adorable. They’re such good friends and i’m glad nobody was upset in the end. The reveal that both the girls were killed off in the show was a twist that got me because why would you write an ending THAT bad... one girl? sure. but both options? wild! they said no girlfriends for you, sir! The executives deciding to cancel the show because of Hana and Minjee’s relationship is so insane, and i can’t believe that things like this happen everyday in other countries, and even worse. The coming out scene was heartwarming and i loved Hana’s parents reactions. They expected it, but didn’t want to push her out of her boundary zone. Minjee’s parents not taking the news well is sad, and its also sad that she has to compartmentalize that, “at least she wasn’t kicked out” is just tragic. I wish it wasn’t like this for her. I love that the director gets fired, and Mr. Choy and Director Cha change the ending of the show. Brian taking the lead and using his privilege to his advantage to help the girls was honestly VERY sweet, and the way it played out in general was just really good. Everyone getting together to watch the end of the show was a nice way to recap everything that we missed in the last episode, while also drawing to close the story. Brian bringing his (future) boyfriend who is french was such a nice twist because he always goes after the non-koreans!! not that Hana is not korean, instead my point is that she doesnt FEEL korean. Such a silly boy.The ending reveal that queer fans are using the beach as a queer location is so fucking cute and i just ADORE THIS BOOK!!! its 100% in my top 10 list and i can’t get enough of it. It’s such a deliciously good book with great representation.

Finally reunited with your sister, you tried to keep the reality of what you went through a secret. Of course, it was only a matter of time before you had to tell her.

One minute you're fighting alongside your fellow Widows, intent on taking out ex-Widow Romanoff, and the next you are being blown backwards off your feet by a small explosive. Small red orbs dance in front of your face, disappearing into your mouth and nostrils as it clears away a haze that had been pulled over your mind long ago.
You sit up alongside your sisters, glancing around in confusion and fear as agents Romanoff and Belova explain that you're free- that General Dreykov had controlled all of you, but that he no longer had that power over you. They tell you the base is going to explode and to evacuate immediately. Then after everything has settled, agents Belova and Vostokoff take you and the other Widows in, giving you a place to stay and time to collect yourselves before going off on your own or whatever it was you decided to do. You stayed for nearly a year, trying to piece together everything you knew about your past life and whether or not it was worth going back to.
It was.
At least going back for your sister it was when you did a little digging. She married a member of some motorcycle club whose members were a bunch of criminals, taking care of his two kids and slowly drowning in debt. So after trying to remember anything you could about Lyla and your parents, you packed up what little belongings you had and returned to the states for the first time since you were eight.
Lyla Winston no longer worked in the porn industry and instead chose to bartend at a bar that only served bikers and their friends. Teller-Morrow Automotive was a front for the Sons of Anarchy and whatever they chose to do that kept the money coming in, and connected to the automotive garage was the clubhouse where all members hung out and partied.
Hesitantly walking into the parking lot, you're aware of the gazes following you. You don't want to step on any toes by just entering their building, so instead you head over to a grouping of picnic tables where a couple individuals are having a smoke break- one with a mohawk shaved close to his head and tattoos on either side of the strip of hair, and the other wearing a beanie despite the warm weather as he strokes his full beard. Opie Winston. Your apparent brother-in-law.
"Hi." You're anything but a shy, sheepish woman, but you have to put up a front. At least for now until you can explain your past. "Um, do you guys know if Lyla Winston is here? I was told I could find her here."
The man in the beanie, Opie, tenses and you gulp, shoving your hands into the pockets of your shorts as you try to make yourself as small as possible under his stare. "She is. Who are you?"
"YN. I'm, uh, I'm her little sister."
"Bullshit."
You wince at his tone and your eyes widen as he stands up from the table. The man was tall. Lyla definitely had good taste. "I-I am! Promise. C-Can you just go get her? She might not believe you if you tell her who's asking for her, so tell her I was the one who broke mom's glass cabinet but that she took the blame so I wouldn't get the belt."
Opie continues to stare you down, but eventually he sees something in you that makes him believe you might be telling the truth. He looks down at his friend and gestures to the garage. "Go tell her. See what her reaction is." His companion nods and hurriedly gets up, jogging towards the building. You exhale, shoulders sagging just a bit. "I'm gonna ask you again, who are you? And don't lie to me."
"I-I'm not. I'm YN. Lyla's younger sister by only a year."
He crosses thick arms over his chest as his eyes narrow. "Why hasn't she mentioned you before?"
You shrug. "I don't know. Maybe because-"
The sound of glass shattering makes you pause and you immediately glance at the clubhouse opening. Many of the garage workers have stopped working, everyone now staring at the blonde woman who's now running out of the clubhouse. Opie moves to intercept her, but she slaps away his hands and stops just a couple feet in front of you, eyes wide with disbelief.
It's Lyla. Definitely Lyla all grown up.
Your eyes water and your throat tightens, and she reaches for you cautiously as if you're going to disappear on her, but holds herself back from making contact. "We used to have a dog when we were little," she says. "What was its name?"
Your brow furrows as you try to recall memories from your childhood. "We didn't have a dog. We had a cat and you.. you named it Fergus."
Lyla sobs before closing the distance between the two of you, her arms around your neck as yours wrap around her waist. "We thought you were dead!" She cries. "How are you here right now? Mom and dad never called and.." She trails off, sobs wracking her body.
Your eyes sting with more tears before they spill over, and you smooth your hands up and down her back. You're more than ready to answer her, but another masculine voice stops you. "Ope? What's going on, brother?"
You glance at Opie, watching as he glances between you and the several members of his club standing nearby. "Your guess is as good as mine. Says she's Lyla's sister."
"Didn't know she had one." Now the blue-eyed, blonde man is staring suspiciously at you.
"Neither did I."
Lyla, having been keeping an ear out on her surroundings, releases you and whirls around while standing protectively in front of you. "She was kidnapped when I was nine. We didn't- I thought she was-"
"Shit." Opie curses as Lyla breaks down again.
As Opie pulls his wife into a hug, you stand just behind her and let your gaze dart over those closing in on you to quickly catalog who's who. Jax Teller, Clay Morrow, Gemma Teller-Morrow, Happy Lowman, Chibs Telford, Juice Ortiz, Tig Trager.. each and every one of these individuals are someone you've done research on before you ever stepped foot inside Charming, California.
Opie glances down at you, expression still neutral. "Come inside. Let's talk."
You gulp and nod, crossing your arms over your chest and keeping your head down, intent on following after him and your sister. But Lyla pulls herself free from him and she wraps an arm around your shoulders to tuck you under her arm, leading you into the clubhouse herself. As she leads you towards a couple of sofas, someone shouts for everyone to clear the hell out and for a few guys to keep an eye on the garage.
Lyla sits you down on a sofa and sits as close as possible to you, Opie sitting on her other side and Jax sitting on yours. Across from you, Clay and Gemma take a seat as the others scramble for a seat themselves. Two other individuals join you- Opie's father Piney and another individual known as Bobby as they quietly inquire what the hell is going on after seeing Lyla's tear-stained face.
"Where have you been all this time?" Lyla finally asks.
Her question quiets everyone down and they all stare at you in anticipation. You exhale softly. "Believe it or not, I've been in Russia." Her eyes widen and you immediately slip into the language that now spills effortlessly off your tongue. "It was hell, but I'm home now."
Someone mumbles, "Holy shit," and you crack a small grin in Juice's direction.
"How'd you get away?"
"You know that Avenger that goes by the name Black Widow?" She nods. "She set us free last year."
"Us?" Jax murmurs.
You glance at him and solemnly nod. "Human trafficking." That was as close to the truth as you'd tell them for now. Someone inhales sharply and Lyla starts to sniffle all over again. "When I- when I was taken, I was just coming back from the restroom at the mall. One second I'm walking down a hallway, and the next everything has gone dark and I'm waking up in the back of a truck with numerous other crying and scared little girls."
"Oh my god." Lyla reaches for your hand and you flash her a tearful smile.
"They drove for hours and when we were finally let out, we were in some lot surrounded by cargo shipping containers. There was a man and he.. he walked up and down, picking and choosing the girls he wanted. The ones that didn't get chosen were shot and killed right away." There's gruntled mumbling of disbelief and anger, but you press on. Squeezing Lyla's hand, you keep your gaze on the coffee table in front of you as you blink away tears. "That's.. that's the only clear thing I can remember from before. My time in Russia.. it's all fuzzy. Jumbled," you say. "Like I know I was constantly busy, always doing something, but when I try to think exactly what it was I was doing.. it's just- it's static."
"Maybe that's for the best." Your eyes dart up at the words to see Gemma's dark eyes pinning you to your seat. Everything about her screams tough bitch, but the sympathy in her eyes lets you know she believes everything you're saying.
"If that Avenger lass set you free last year, why are you only coming now? Why weren't yer family notified?" Chibs wonders.
You shrug. "Whatever agent Romanoff was doing in Russia; I don't think it was sanctioned by the government. I don't think finding us was her objective, but she couldn't leave us there, so she and a couple of friends set us up somewhere so we could heal before deciding what we wanted to do. Over the months, some stuff started coming back to me and I just- I felt dirty. Ashamed. And after a while, all I wanted was my sister. Not mom, not dad, but Ly."
Lyla immediately hugs you. "I got you. You're home now. It's going to be okay."
"I'm sure you've been through hell, girl, but I'm gonna need a DNA test to prove you are who you say you are."
"Clay." Jax tenses in his seat, but the gruff man shakes his head.
"We've been through too much- the club's been through too much- to just let someone waltz in and play on Lyla's past like this. If the DNA's a match, I'll apologize. If not.."
"I'll do it." You gulp as every stare falls on you once more. "I don't know what you guys have been through, but if this will ease your minds about whatever suspicions you have about me, then I'll do it."
Everyone goes quiet and Clay stares at you a moment longer before nodding. "Okay." Then looking at Jax, he says, "Make the appointment with your old lady. The sooner, the better."
Jax gets up and heads over to the bar, pulling out his phone to make the call. Lyla tugs on your hand, garnering your attention and she flashes you a weak smile. "You don't have to," she murmurs. "I believe you."
You lean forward, touching your forehead to hers. "This is your family now, Ly. It's okay. I'm fine with whatever tests they want to run."
Jax makes his way back over, breaking up the family moment. "Tara said her friend's free right now. They can draw the blood and put a rush on it to see if there are any similarities."
Clay nods and gestures to the clubhouse doors. "Go. Let us know the results."
"Come on." Lyla stands, tugging on your hand so you're standing as well.
Opie passes Lyla a set of keys. "Take the truck. Jax and I will follow."
"Okay." He kisses your sister's cheek before staring at you and offering a terse nod.
Lyla leads you out of the clubhouse and into the parking lot, pointing out the truck she's going to drive. You climb into the passenger seat without a word, briefly glancing at Jax and Opie as they climb onto their motorcycles.
The drive to the hospital is quiet, your head leaning against the headrest while your arm sticks out the window as the wind rushes over it. Then all too soon, Lyla is pulling into the parking lot of a hospital and parking, Jax and Opie parking nearby. You and Lyla hop out of the truck, and when you meet her in front of the hood she's quick to grab your hand and tangle your fingers together.
Jax and Opie lead the way into the hospital as Jax looks for Tara- who Lyla quickly explains is Jax's wife- and then a brunette is politely introducing herself while leading you and Lyla to one of the back rooms. You hardly bat an eye as she and her friend explain the blood taking process, and readily lay your arm out so they can tap a vein.
A handful of minutes later and you're sitting in the hospital cafeteria next to your sister with Jax and Opie sitting opposite you. You're relaxed in your chair, staring straight ahead but not really seeing. You've zoned out.
"So since you've convinced Lyla and you're not freakin' out about having your blood taken,'' Opie starts, "I'm gonna just assume you've been tellin' the truth and really are Lyla's little sister." Your lips twitch at his gruff tone and you offer him a nod. "Then let me be the first to say welcome home." He holds his hand out for you to shake and you do. "I'm Opie. Your brother-in-law."
"Hi, Opie."
"And I'm Jax. Opie's best friend." The blue-eyed blonde shakes your hand as well.
"I'm, uh, I'm YN," you say. "I wish I could tell you more about me, but I don't have much to go off of."
"Don't even worry about it. I'm sure you'll be makin' new memories pretty soon."
The next hour passes agonizingly slow, but it's never silent. Lyla shares what little stories from your childhood she remembers, about how she met Opie, and asks if you have any place to stay or where you'll be staying. You inform her you have a motel room that suits you just fine and you kind of really want to stick with her for as long as you can. Jax and Opie are worried about whatever funds you have running out, but you assure them that Yelena and Melina set you up with funds that's sure to last you for quite a while (they were really your funds you saved up over the years for targets you'd taken out for the Red Room, but they didn't need to know that. At least not yet).
When Tara arrives at the table with an envelope in hand, everyone tenses. And she smiles- beams, really- while telling you what you already knew. You and Lyla were siblings, and the blood tests proved it. Lyla broke down into sobs again and you pulled her into a hug, chuckling but crying along with her. Opie and Jax stand, make their way around the table, and pull you into hugs of their own while welcoming you to the family. Even Tara hugs you, tears in her eyes before telling you all she has to go back to work.
The drive back to Teller-Morrow Automotive is a bit more lighthearted, but Lyla quickly schools her expression when she parks and gets out. She keeps her hands to herself as everyone starts to slowly come out from the clubhouse and your arms cross over your chest to hug yourself.
"Well?" Gemma drawls. "Are we kicking some ass or throwing a party?"
For a moment you and Lyla say nothing, and then she's practically jumping up and down in celebration. "My sister's back, bitches!"
Clay smiles and Gemma smirks, and the other men around you whoop and congratulate her. They introduce themselves to you this time- Juice, Bobby, Happy, Piney, and Chibs. Tig tries to flirt, but you laugh him off, and then Gemma's pulling you into a side hug. Clay apologizes and you forgive him, and then you're being ushered inside and asked what you like to eat because there's going to be a huge party for you the following day.
Lyla ends up staying with you at the motel that night, but only after she agrees to Opie's demands that a Prospect stand guard outside your room. She filled you in about her life after you'd gone missing and how she landed a job as a porn star. She had been hesitant to reveal that fact about her life, but you surprised her by being accepting of her chosen lifestyle.
You'd fallen asleep in the same bed in the early morning hours, only to be woken up by someone repeatedly kicking the mattress. You and Lyla immediately sat up, glaring at the intruders. Moments later, as your vision cleared, you watched as Opie and Jax snorted with laughter.
"Holy shit. If that DNA test hadn't been taken yesterday, that twin death glare would've convinced me," Jax had said.
You and Lyla groaned at the men, falling back onto the mattress and wanting nothing more than to grab a few more hours of sleep. Opie told you to do just that, but the two of you better be up and dressed for the night's activities since Gemma had the sweetbutts cleaning the clubhouse from top to bottom since six that morning.
Later, after a late lunch, Lyla tells you to grab a change of clothes so you could get ready at her house. Opie introduces you to his kids and then Lyla drags you to the bedroom. You shower first and then her, and she tries to talk you into a different outfit when she sees what you chose- dark skinny jeans, a fitted short sleeve shirt under a loose cardigan and a pair of Doc Martens. You were comfortable in your own skin, but around so many new people you just wanted to dress comfortably with no intention of impressing anyone.
There are actual streamers and balloons and a welcome home banner when you get to the clubhouse, and you hardly bat an eye at all the scantily clad women that your sister refers to as sweetbutts who have high hopes of sleeping with anyone and everyone in a kutte. You're hugged and kissed on the cheek by a few people, and then Jax is jumping on the bar and informing everyone exactly what the party is for while introducing you. There are several whoops of cheer and even more whistles of appreciation, and you sheepishly wave while trying to put Lyla in front of you.
Lyla leads you around the clubhouse so you can mingle and get to know more people, and then you're grabbing a plate of pizza and a beer and taking a seat on the sofa. Eventually though she gets roped into being behind the bar, leaving you all alone. Opie checks on you every once and a while, he and Jax scaring away any member of SAMCRO who'd taken to sitting a little too close to you.
As the night wears on, Happy takes a seat on the opposite corner of the sofa you're on to glare away anyone who bothers you. Every time someone gets close and then quickly backpedals after an introduction, you glance at Happy and offer him a brief smile before people watching once more.
Juice plops on the empty space between you and Happy, and he waggles his eyebrows at you. "You've been nursing that beer the entire night. Live a little."
When he pulls forth a bottle of vodka that he'd been hiding by his side, you arch an eyebrow at him. "I'm not really a fan of the hard stuff."
He scoffs. "What? All that time with the Russians and they didn't teach you how to hold your liquor?"
Happy punches Juice's thigh and you flash both men a grin. "Juice, I can drink your pretty ass under the table. I just choose not to."
Juice beams and Happy rolls his eyes. "You've done it now."
"Line them up, sweetheart. You just issued a challenge and I'm jumping on that."
"Whatever. I'll be back." You get up and head over to the bar, asking Lyla for a tray of empty shot glasses. She raises an eyebrow at you, and you explain Juice has just challenged you to a drinking challenge. She laughs, gets you the shot glasses, and wishes you luck.
When you get back to Juice and Happy, you sit on your knees next to the coffee table and start lining up the shot glasses in two lines. Juice laughs and uncaps the vodka, filling each shot glass. Then once they're all filled, he grabs the first one in his line as you do the same.
"Cheers."
You and Juice clink shot glasses, and you down the first shot. One by one, you and Juice down them, gathering a small crowd who start laughing when Juice cringes at one particular shot and you're still throwing them back without a grimace.
On the last shot, Juice hesitates, already looking a little green around the gills. He shoots back the shot, but more than half dribbles out of his mouth and you shoot yours back without any issue. The men and women surrounding you whoop and cheer, and you reclaim your seat on the sofa when Jax assures the sweetbutts will handle the shot glasses so you don't have to clean up. Juice burps and gags, but keeps down his liquor. He sways in his seat and before anyone can do anything, he drops sideways so that his head is in your lap.
Laughing, you wave off Chibs as he goes to move his brother. "He's fine. Let him sleep it off for a bit. I don't think I can leave before the party's over anyway."
Chibs looks a little surprised, leaving Juice on your lap, but not taking his leave before snapping a quick picture of his passed out brother while you're still sitting pretty as a flower.

It's been a little over two months that you've been back in the states, and you've recently come back to Charming after visiting your parents. You fed them the same story you did your sister, and they accepted your words without question. They didn't like that you were living under the radar, so after a quick call to Yelena who in turn called her sister Natasha, you were mailed your identification cards and every other important document you needed to get by without being questioned by any authorities.
You are the complete opposite of your sister Lyla, but the Sons of Anarchy and their Old Ladies have become quite fond of you. In fact, they've also become a bit protective as well. But it isn't until the little town of Charming throws a fundraiser for every organization within the town that the club starts to realize there may be more to you than meets the eye.
Every organization had a booth lining the street of downtown Charming, selling food and giving away goodie bags to those who bought food from them or donated to their cause. And apparently there was a perk for whichever organization raised the most cash, so Gemma was determined to finally beat the fire department. She didn't look too happy by the time you and Lyla dropped by, and she admitted the damn fire department had more visitors than the club's booth. And on a whim, you asked her how much money they usually made at these things.
Once Gemma absentmindedly tells you that each booth usually makes anywhere from $200 to $800, Lyla and Jax are the only ones to raise an eyebrow as you smile and take off the small backpack you had donned for the day. Reaching in, you pull out a checkbook and write a check for $5000. You hand it over and take a cup of chili in return, and wink at Gemma when she finally reads how much you'd just donated.
Gemma blinks in shock and awe. "What? Baby.."
"I'm good for it. Trust me."
Jax takes the check from his mom, his own eyes widening a second later. "What the fuck?"
You laugh and eat some chili, shrugging. "Just think of it as a thank you for all that you guys have done for me."
Lyla can only smile as Jax whoops and cheers, rushing around the table to pull you into a hug and swing you around. After all, she and Opie were no stranger to taking some of your money so you could help them with some of their debt. It was a struggle for them to accept it, but when they realized you had more than enough cash stashed away, they thanked you profusely.

Little by little, your guard falls around the club. Not enough to let them know what you'd truly been through, but enough to stop blushing and even flirt back a little to give the men a taste of their own medicine. The first time you'd done it, Tig choked on his beer and Piney laughed so hard that Opie had to up his oxygen.
Lyla managed to convince Gemma to hire you on as a bartender at the clubhouse, but they made it clear that you were to step outside if they ever mentioned club business. You had absolutely no issue with it and immediately dropped whatever you were doing when Clay or Jax gave you a single look. So of course, after you've settled down and finally started to live like a civilian, it all comes crashing down.
The core members of SAMCRO are hanging around the clubhouse with Gemma, Tara, Lyla and yourself with them. Everyone's just killing time after a long day in the garage and the atmosphere is the most comfortable you've ever felt since you've been here.
You're on the way back from grabbing a few beers for the guys when a suit walks into the clubhouse, two duffel bags hanging off his shoulders. You see him first and slow to a stop, and then tense when you realize who he is. You know him. You've worked for him. And now here he was looking smug as can be.
"Hey, man," Jax calls out. "We're closed for the night."
Suit smiles at Jax and shakes his head. "I'm not here for you. I'm here for her." He points at you and everyone tenses. "Hello, YN."
Your expression goes cold as you slowly set the bottles in your hand on the nearest table, keeping the suit in your eye sight the entire time. "You're not welcome here. Leave."
"Aw. Is that any way to speak to an old friend?" Immediately, everyone's standing and coming to crowd on either side of you. Suit scoffs at their reaction. "Cute." Then he meets your gaze head on. "I got a job for you."
Immediately you shake your head. "No. Yelena and Melina got me out of that life. I've gone straight."
"YN?" The hurt in your sister's voice is enough to make your expression crack and you glance at her, expression showing just how fucking sorry you currently are. "What's going on?"
"Later, Ly. Please."
Her eyes widen when she hears your voice crack, but then the sound of a bag being tossed on the ground makes you look forward once more. You glance at the duffel bag on the floor and then back at the suit. He smirks. "Is two hundred and fifty thousand enough to make you stray?"
The men and women surrounding you go eerily quiet, so quiet that you hear a mumbled, "Fuck," somewhere to your right. Your jaw clenches as tears sting your eyes and when you glance to your left, you find every Son staring at you in surprise.
"Check it." Clay's deep voice is enough to make you cringe and you helplessly watch as Tig scurries forward, unzipping the bag.
"Holy shit," Tig murmurs. He looks up at you and then at Clay, eyebrows raising. "Looks legit."
Your head hangs as you sigh, but then you quickly pull yourself together. Standing tall, head held high, you ask, "Who's the target?"
"One of your favorites which is why I sought you out for it," Suit says. "Specializes in human trafficking. Specifically children."
"Oh hell no," Gemma mutters.
"I don't have a uniform. I got rid of everything." The second duffel bag is tossed at your feet and you mentally roll your eyes. Of course. "You were so sure, weren't you?" You ask as you scoop up the duffel bag and place the strap on your shoulder.
"What can I say? I know the targets that'll bring you back into the fold no matter what. Once a Widow, always a Widow."
You flinch and then step towards Tig, zipping the bag up and taking it with you. Looking at Clay, you say, "I'll explain everything when I get back. I promise." The man in charge looks you up and down, and you're just grateful he's not raging at you for keeping secrets. He nods and then you glance at Opie. "Can I use your dorm to change?"
"Yeah. Come on."
Without meeting anyone else's gaze, you follow after Opie and grab Lyla's hand on the way. Opie leads you to the dorms, using his key to open up his own personal dorm. Once inside, you toss the duffel bag full of cash onto his bed and walk into the bathroom without a word with the other bag still hanging from your shoulder.
Setting the bag on the sink, you unzip it and sigh. It's your suit- shoes, holsters, and weapons included. Then with another sigh, you strip and get redressed in the appropriate clothing. The black skintight, reinforced body suit still fits like a glove. You slip into your shoes before grabbing your belt and clipping it on. The thigh holsters clip onto your belt to make sure they don't slip off and then you holster your glocks into each one. There's another holster that you slip your arms into, clipping it together along your collarbones, while a triangular pack sits between your shoulder blades. You slip two electric batons into the pack so their handles sit just above your shoulders, and then you wrap two bracelets with widow bites around your wrists.
You quickly tie your hair up into a ponytail and once you're finished, you toss the empty bag under the sink. Steeling yourself, you clear your mind and then step back out into Opie's room.
Lyla and Opie's eyes widen when they see you.
"What the hell have you gotten yourself into, kid?"
You gulp. "When I told you everything that happened to me? That was the watered down version," you quietly tell them. "The full version is.. it's worse. Way worse. But I can't explain right now. I have a job to carry out."
Lyla steps forward, eyes filling with tears. "You don't have to do this."
"I do." You allow your expression to fall for a brief moment before schooling it once more. "Keep the money hidden until I get back, yeah? And if you guys are willing to hear me out, I'll explain everything then."
Opie stares you down. "What you said about the human trafficking, that was real, right? It wasn't just something to get us to trust you?"
"All real," you say. "I just didn't mention what the human trafficking was for. Or that I remembered every goddamn detail of it."
He looks at you and then tersely nods. "Okay. I can't speak for the rest of the guys, but I'll hear you out."
"Thank you."
Opie then cracks a grin. "The guys are gonna flip when they see you in this get-up. Especially Juice. I think our little Puerto Rican has a crush on you."
"Yeah? Well I doubt it'll go anywhere now when he realizes just how much blood I have on my hands. Now let's go. The sooner I leave, the sooner I can get back."
Opie turns to open the door, but Lyla steps up to you, grabbing your hands and squeezing them in comfort. "For what it's worth, I'll love you no matter what. You're my little sister, YN, and no matter what you have to tell us I'll still be there for you."
"Thanks, Ly." She smiles as she rests her forehead against yours, and then looks up to kiss your forehead.
Opie and Lyla walk out ahead of you, and you take a moment to slip back into the person you were raised to be. With confidence oozing out of your every pore, you walk back out into the front of the clubhouse.
Juice is the first to spot you and as predicted, he's stunned. His jaw drops open, his eyes widen, and one by one the Sons look to see what's got him speechless.
"Holy shit," Jax's own eyes widen. "YN?"
"I think I got myself a new fetish," Tig says.
Letting a smirk slide across your lips, you saunter forward until you're standing next to the suit. Feet shoulder width apart and hands clasped behind your back, you nod at those you've slowly come to see as family. "Thank you for taking me in. When I get back, we'll have a much needed discussion."
"Damn right we will," Clay says.
You nod at him and then glance at Gemma, Clay's very own wife, and are relieved to see the amusement in eyes. Her gaze darts between you, Juice and Happy, and you're surprised to see the heat both men are staring at you with. You've caught Juice stare at you that way a few times, but not so obvious like he is now and Happy.. well that's new.
"I'll see you all soon."
Suit touches your elbow and you loosen your stance before turning on your heel, marching after your temporary boss.

It's been two weeks since you've been back to the clubhouse, but to be fair you were buying a house and getting your shit in order. It wasn't too close to Teller-Morrow Automotive in case the club took issue with your past and didn't want you around, but you weren't going to let their distrust of you drive a wedge between you and Lyla. You had just reconnected with your sister and you'll be damned if you're forced to leave her yet again.
So you found a house, purchased it, decorated it, and briefly settled in before deciding to head back over to the clubhouse.
Dressed comfortably, you grab a duffel bag you had thrown into your closet and slide into your brand-new black Chevrolet Camaro to drive towards Teller-Morrow. The sun has gone down by the time you get there, but it seems like they've got a party going on. And not wanting to do this in front of everybody, you head back over to your own house and text your sister. You tell her you're ready to explain your story and those who wish to hear are more than welcome to come over. You text her the address to your home before making yourself a cup of tea and sitting outside on your porch to wait.
Twenty minutes later and the roaring of motorcycle engines pierce the still night air. The house and property you had chosen was well away from any dwelling, but it was the kind of isolation you approved of. Numerous headlights dot the dirt road leading up to your house, followed by the headlights of a large SUV.
Clay and Jax lead the way, followed by Opie, Tig, Bobby, Chibs, Juice and Happy. When the SUV parks, you smile as Lyla readily hops out and eagerly jogs up to meet you on the porch. Gemma's not that far behind either.
Lyla immediately pulls you into a hug, exhaling in relief, but it's Gemma who says, "Hey, baby, job go well?"
You grin at her over Lyla's shoulder. "So well I took another. Head on in." You gesture to the front door. "Let's take a seat in the living room."
Gemma heads in without having to be told twice and you pull out of Lyla's embrace to tug her along. Opie flashes you a grin, ruffling your hair, and you swat at him then at Jax as he tries to do the same. You push Lyla inside and then Clay, Chibs, and Bobby give you a nod as they walk in behind your sister.
"Aw. No suit?" Tig frowns.
"Stop sexualizing my suit. It's weird."
"It's hot."
"I murder people in that suit."
"Even hotter."
You snort, chuckling as Happy shoves Tig into your house. "Thanks, Happy."
He shrugs. "He's not wrong."
"Jesus Christ." Happy flashes a faint grin before heading inside and then Juice stops right in front of you. You grin at him. "If you tell me my suit does it for you too, I'm gonna kick your ass."
"Fine. I won't say a thing."
"Good."
"But-"
"Nope. Inside." You shove at Juice, smiling at his laugh as you continue to push him inside your house. Everyone's grabbed a seat in your living room and you walk up, setting your empty cup on a side table. Exhaling, you tuck your hands into the back pockets of your jeans. "Alright, so first thing first, the whole ordeal I told you about human trafficking, that was real. I just didn't give the details of what the human trafficking ring was for."
"What exactly was it for?" Jax wonders.
"The KGB had a program to train little girls in combat and espionage. It's not hard to mentally break a child, put her on a strict diet and start her on lessons." You shrug, desensitized to what you've been through. "As soon as I got there, we were put on strict diets and had a workout routine. Then we had etiquette lessons and ballet lessons, and then they moved on to combat. It was basically a fight ring for little girls and those who didn't make it, they died."
Lyla gasps, hand flying to her mouth.
"Once we were trained nice and good in combat, weapons training started. We had to kill our first victim by thirteen. If we didn't, we would be mentally broken all over again before being told to try again."
"Jesus Christ." Bobby shakes his head in disbelief.
You sigh. "At sixteen, the seduction lessons start. And then at graduation, you're sterilized. After all, the KGB couldn't have their little assassins getting knocked up and becoming distracted."
Everyone's stunned quiet.
"How do we know you're not lying?" Clay asks.
Your right hand wraps around a USB drive in your back pocket before you pull it out and toss it at Juice who catches it with ease. "That's every file they had on me from the early days when they took me up until after graduation. There's a laptop under the TV already plugged in. Watch it if you have any doubts."
Juice looks at Clay and the elder man gives him the go ahead. Juice scrambles out of his seat, heading towards your TV and the laptop residing on the shelf underneath it. You walk over behind the seat your sister is sitting on, standing behind her and crossing your arms over your chest as you mentally prepare yourself for what everyone's about to see.
Juice sits beneath your TV with the laptop in his lap, everything on the laptop being showcased on TV for all to see. He's mumbling to himself as he clicks through the files, searching for the videos that'll backup your story. He finds them and immediately plays the first one.
The first video is shaky and a bit grainy, and it shows exactly what you first told them. The person handling the camera walks up to the back of what appears to be an 18-wheeler and the moment the door is pushed up, the terrified screams and cries of little girls pierce through the speakers. Your eye twitches, but you continue to watch as they pull every single of you out- faces tear stained and little bodies trembling. One by one, girls are either chosen or waved off, and then the video cuts out as soon as gunshots ring out.
The next video shows a small group of girls huddled together wearing nothing by white tank tops and underwear. Lyla gasps when the camera passes over you and you reach forward to grab onto her shoulder to remind her you're home. On the screen, the girls are being measured and weighed, and then told what each girl can or cannot eat.
You're fine watching the process of everything you've been through, but the moment they get to when the combat training starts, your facade cracks. The first fight you'd been in leaves you bloodied and crying, and thrown into an isolation room where you scream and cry some more for your mom, dad, and sister. At ten years old, they threaten that if you don't start giving it your all then they're going to kill you and go after your sister. That makes Lyla and Opie tense, and you end up having to quietly assure them all those people are dead. There is no more threat.
With the threat of them taking your sister hanging over your head, you become better. You lose a couple more fights, but the fights that truly count are the ones you win and graduate to the next level with. Weapons training was a breeze since you actually paid attention to that, assembling and disassembling coming very easy to you. But the moment you have a gun in hand, aiming it at a person tied to a chair with a sack over his head, you hesitate. The trainers see it and you're tossed into another isolation room. When the video cuts to silent footage of you sitting in the corner with your hands pressed to your ears and screaming your lungs out, you wince.
"What did they make you listen to?" Gemma asks.
"They'd replicated my parent's and Lyla's voices," you admit. "I had to listen to them telling me to do what I was told and then Lyla screaming as if she was being murdered."
"How did you know it wasn't real?" Opie asks, voice rough.
"Because when they finally pulled me out, they told me that the next time it wouldn't be a fake recording."
The next video footage is of you in the shooting range again, expression blank and aim true. You pull the trigger three times before effortlessly switching hands, shooting another three times. This time when there's a bound man sitting in front of you, you don't bat an eye before pulling the trigger.
There's more combat training, more brutal than before, and ballet lessons that completely confuse everyone. They watch as you go from a terrified eight year old girl to a disciplined, lethal eighteen year old. There's an entire graduation ceremony where those who survived the lessons are in black catsuits while scientists, doctors, and generals applaud all around you. And then it ends with you in a hospital gown, laying on a surgical gurney while being pushed into a surgical room.
When the videos end, no one utters a word.
"I.. have so much blood on my hands," you say. "I didn't want you to know who I was and then prevent me from being with my sister."
"We all have blood on our hands, kid," Clay says.
"Not like me."
"No, not like you," he agrees. You hold Clay's stare as he figures out what his next step is. Eventually, he sighs after glancing between you and Lyla. "Do you plan to continue this line of business?"
"I hadn't," you admit. "But money is money and after purchasing this land and this house, I'm gonna need some form of income."
"Is there any way this will blow back on your sister or the club?"
"Nah. When I take a mission, I wear someone else's face. Mine is never on display unless it's pure recon."
"Wear someone else's face?" Juice wonders.
"Photostatic veil. I got all kinds of cool gadgets." Juice's eyes light up and you grin. You have a feeling he's going to love the basement of your house where all the weapons and gadgets and computers reside. "I'll show you sometime."
"No matter what I say, you ain't leavin', are 'ya?" Clay asks.
You shrug. "If you really don't want me around, I'll steer clear of the club, but I'm not leaving Lyla."
"I figured." You smile as he huffs. "As long as you don't endanger my club, I don't give a shit what you do."
"Aw. You're sweet." Clay rolls his eyes as everyone chuckles. The tension in the room ebbs away and you walk over to the hall closet. "And as thanks for looking out for my sister and being so cool when I first got here," from the closet, you pull out a duffel bag and rejoin everyone before tossing the bag onto the coffee table, "that's for you. Well for the club, but yeah."
"Is that- is that what I think it is?" Tig asks, eyes sparkling as he stares at the bag.
"Why don't you open it and find out."
Tig scrambles out of his seat and quickly unzips the duffel bag. He barks out a laugh, pulling out stack after stack of cash.
"YN?" Lyla turns in her seat, staring up at you in awe and you shrug at her.
"I took a second job while I was away. Wasn't a big fish, but he still had a decent penny attached to his name."
"Holy shit." Juice is next to Tig, pulling out stacks of money too. "How much is in here?"
"A hundred and fifty grand." Chibs swears as he's tossed a stack and you chuckle. "Divide it up, pay off debt, or do whatever. Every other job will be a generous donation to my new favorite MC so long as my identity stays between us. It won't do any good if everyone knows I'm a Black Widow."
"I feel like a sugar baby. Is this what being a sugar baby feels like?" Juice asks.
Jax snorts as he stands up, heading for you. He pulls you into a hug, kissing your temple. "Thanks, darling. You have no idea how much this money is going to help us out."
"Yeah, well.."
"I got a question," Gemma says. She waits until she has your attention, until Jax slings an arm around your shoulders and faces his mom too, and then continues on. "Have you ever met that Captain America fella?"
Everyone seems to exhale in relief and you laugh. "Actually, yeah. I had to get Natasha to set me up with my legal documents and he flew out with her to deliver them."
"And?" She raises an eyebrow at you.
"And.." You shrug. "And nothing."
"Oh bullshit. He as good looking as he looks on TV?"
Your nose wrinkles as you shrug again. "He's okay. Not really my type."
Lyla scoffs. "Please. Captain America is everyone's type."
"Hey." Everyone chuckles at Opie's pout.
"Nah. He's too.. clean cut. If I had to choose someone, I'd choose his best friend Sergeant Barnes."
"The Winter fuckin' Soldier!" Juice exclaims. "Seriously?!"
"Oh hell yeah." You grin. "That broody, long haired, metal armed man.." You trail off, humming in delight as Lyla and Gemma bark out a laugh at the glint you get in your eye. "That man looks like he can fuck."
"That man looks like he'll murder you!"
"If I got out during sex with that metal hand wrapped around my throat, I'd die a happy woman."
"Jesus Christ," Tig swears. The poor man looks a little too turned on as he stares at you, but surprisingly he doesn't hit on you. "Are you sure you're Lyla's baby sister?"
"We got the DNA test to prove it."
Mostly everyone is still chuckling as Jax tights his arm around you. "Well I know one thing for sure, life just got a whole lot more interesting in Charming with its very own Black Widow now residing here."

well, well, well, if it isn’t savannah cassidy. people say the seventeen year old junior who is originally from white lake high reminds them of a bouncy ponytail, her silver locket & blowing kisses with glossy lips which makes sense since they’re often described as sassy, fickle, & charming. i just can’t wait to see the sort of trouble they end up in.
hi lovelies! i’m ali and this is my precious, all time favorite baby savannah. think lyla garrity but with a bit more edge. if you know who lyla garrity is, you get bonus points. find out a little more about her right down there! im open to any and all connections and have some listed here.
Savannah was put into foster care the day after she was born when her birth mother abandoned her at the hospital. Her being adopted is basically common knowledge but it isn’t something that she talks about too often.
She was adopted around the age of four by her current parents Greg and Aiden Cassidy. Both men were born and raised in White Lake. Greg is a broadcaster for the local sports radio station and Aiden is a pediatrician.
Savvy has been cheering since the day she was old enough. As soon as her parents signed her up, there was no looking back from there. She had a natural talent that has only progressed as she got older. People continue to be blown away by the skill the girl possessed. Just because a lot of it may have come somewhat naturally doesn’t mean that she doesn’t work hard at it every day. She takes her roll of cheer captain seriously. It’s not unusual to find her tumbling around just about anywhere. She’s a bit of a workout fiend as well because she wants to be in the best shape possible.
Don’t think that just because she’s got the flawless bouncy ponytail topped with a perfect bow and a smile that she’s fragile. She’s also been boxing for years and has no problem kicking ass if it comes down to it.
Savannah is a perfectionist. It’s not unusual to find her in the gym until the late hours of the night. This pertains to her grades as well. Thankfully she retains material easily due to her photographic memory. Her parents expect a lot out of her, and she aims to please. Sometimes too much. To call her a people pleaser would be extremely accurate, putting other people first is the norm for her.  She just honestly wants the best for everyone. It also means that yes, she wants everyone to like her. Her outgoing personality and natural charm usually makes that pretty easy but let’s be honest, you can’t please everyone all the time, right?
Because she is extremely disciplined, when she lets go, she really lets go. She likes taking the time to escape and just be a normal teenager without putting so much pressure on herself. The expression good girls are bad girls that haven’t been caught can almost define her.
One of her favorite things to do lay out on the roof of one of the old buildings in town looking up at the stars. She also likes to escape to the local park. There’s just something calming about the swings.

Life is Strange: Spirit Animals
Max Caulfield - Doe
As I replayed Life is Strange 1 it was easy to notice that Max's spirit was definitely a Doe. Doe symbolizes the gentle, enticing lure of new adventures.
Max is heavily associated with the Doe. This is symbolic of kindness and compassion, as well as being intuitive, quick-thinking and resourceful; all aspects of Max's personality.
A Doe has many sides—a doe is powerful and feisty, cautious, adventurous, and protective.  Max has a great individuality, calling for people to trust her instincts and trust herself.
Chloe Price - Blue Butterfly
The butterfly is the symbol of transformation, a person identified with this spirit animal can bring joy and bliss, they are lively, bright and go through various personal transformations, it may be a symbol to indicate you to lighten up and add color to your life.
This resembles a lot of Chloe's character who has gone through many personal changes. Even with a gun on her face she noted the butterfly at the beginning of the game. It's also a symbol of soul and immortality, which fits Max constantly saving her. 
Warren Graham - Otter
The otter is symbolic, from the environment in which it lives in, to its actions and social conduct. The otter is a symbol of both Water and Earth. This is a curious combination, since Earth is known for its stability and strength, and Water is known for being adjustable and changeable.
The otter symbolizes friendship, peace and family, as well as being kind, social and mischievous. It is also a symbol of grace, empathy as well as happiness and never-ending curiosity.
Kate Marsh - Rabbit
It's most likely that Kate's spirit animal is the rabbit, which is the animal connected to her the most as she has a pet rabbit. The rabbit is a symbol of vulnerability, comfort, abundance - it's associated with the sentiment, desire, and procreation.
People with this totem are usually unpredictable, spontaneous, gentle, nurturing, observational, alert, successful and good advisers. This totem is furthermore a symbol of fertility, warmth, sexuality, and luck.
Nathan Prescott - Whale
It's discussed whether the whale could be Nathan's spirit animal. This is due to the fact that Nathan listens to whale songs, and also, the deaths of the whales in Arcadia Bay could have been foreshadowing to the death of the Prescott heir. 
I believe this to be true as a whale is associated with compassion (when Nathan shows a moment of redemption and compassion when he warns Max about Jefferson's true intentions) and solitude (how Nathan have people he calls friends, but feels as though he is alone), and knowledge of both life and death. They are also associated with unbridled creativity.
Victoria Chase - Cat
The animal connected to Victoria the most is the cat. The cat is the symbol of patience, independence, curiosity, and courage. The cat is a very spiritual animal; it is known for its ability to wait and act only when the time is right.
Cats are symbolic of rebirth and resurrection, per their nine lives. This parallels Victoria's redemption within the story after the attempted or successful suicide of Kate. Cat's are known to be fierce and feisty which perfectly reflects Victoria's personality.
Rachel Amber - Raven
There has been some debate over the true spirit animal of Rachel. I believe her spirit animal to be a Raven. Because of its black plumage, croaking call and diet of carrion, the raven is often associated with loss and ill omen. This connecting to Rachel's unfortunate fate.
The raven is said to represent transformation and is also feared as a "trickster spirit." A common saying the Native American in the area Arcadia Bay was built on said about the raven: "The raven is to be respected but never trusted." (This parallels Elliot's distrust of Rachel because of her 'bad influence' on Chloe)
Mark Jefferson - Owl
The owl is a symbol of vigilance, acute wit and has been associated with spirits. It has been regarded as a guide in the underworld. Owls are great hunters and Celts associated them with wisdom, keen sight, and patience.
In Jefferson's case he resembles more of the negative side of an owl. Owls are considered to be harbingers of coming desolation, decay, and coming of bad omens.
Sean Diaz - Wolf
Sean is heavily associated with the wolf, which is depicted on his favorite, most-worn hoodie. Though none physically appear, wolves are referenced several times throughout Life is Strange 2. In addition, the brothers refer to themselves as wolves and enjoy howling together like the animal.
As a spirit animal, the wolf symbolizes raw emotion, a deep connection with one's instincts, and an appetite for freedom, as well as feelings of vulnerability and danger. 
Daniel Diaz - Young Wolf
Like his brother, Daniel is heavily associated with the wolf. The wolf symbolizes raw emotion, a deep connection with one's instincts, and an appetite for freedom, as well as feelings of vulnerability and danger. 
However, a young wolf, in particular, symbolizes independence, recklessness, innocence, and yearning to prove one's self. Daniel is often referred to as a pup in the story and is always trying to prove himself.
Lyla Park - Mouse
Lyla closely resembles a mouse. Mice are very adaptable easily blending in into any environment and make the best of it. Changes aren’t something they enjoy, but once they become necessary they will have no problem with them.
People born under this totem are also innocent. This means they are kind and genuine people who will be there for you through thick and thin. To some people, this might look like they are fake or pretending to be good, but this is definitely not the case.
Chris Eriksen - Raccoon
As a spirit animal, the raccoon symbolizes curiosity, cleverness, charisma, and a thirst for adventure and exploration, all of which Chris demonstrates as a character. The raccoon is also known for its resourcefulness and uncanny ability to scavenge effectively. These traits are displayed in Chris' recreation of his envisioned superhero costume with various household items.
The raccoon's most prominent feature is its "mask", which is said to represent both its ability to transform into something else and its skill at adapting to new situations. Through his Captain Spirit persona, Chris adjusts to the new reality of having lost his mother and old home by creating an imaginary world in which he possesses the power to create change.
Finn McNamara - Coyote
Finn is closely connected to coyote spirit animal which is a natural jokester who loves to have fun and show its playful side when things get too tense or serious. It reminds not to take life too seriously and to laugh at oneself when things don't happen the way they anticipate.
A coyote symbolizes adaptability, enthusiasm, ingenuity, resourcefulness, communication, fearlessness, teamwork, instinct, stealth, protection and inner healing. However, they also symbolize selfishness, deceit, and greed. (As seen when Finn goes along with the heist even after being told not to)
Cassidy Jones - Lynx
The spirit animal mostly connected to Cassidy is the Lynx. Lynx as a spirit animal symbolizes awareness, change, ability, confidence, comfort, foresight, loyalty, independence, passion, patience, tranquility, secrets, revealing secrets, trust, understanding, the unseen and much more.
One thing closely relates Cassidy to these animals is her independence. She known for stating that she is capable of taking care of herself and not needing the help of the others.

part two: August Rush and spirituality versus religion

Our protagonist, Evan, is strongly, almost mystically convicted of the truth and beauty of his origin.  He believes he has a family to whom he belongs, that their love communicates with him through the music that he hears, and that it will be through the music that they’ll find each other again.  But they’re taking a little longer than he wants, and there’s a whole world of wind chimes out there, so he sets out to look for them – following the music, because the moon told him to.  Providence guides and protects him.
He hitches a ride to New York City, and, mesmerized by what seems to be the first musical instrument he’s ever seen, follows a young guitarist named Arthur home.  Home is an abandoned, condemned theater, with young, homeless musicians scattered all over it, and lording over it all is a man named Wizard, who steals instruments for the kids, determines who gets which busking spots all over the city, and takes half of their tips.  He is initially dismissive of Evan – “you’ve never played a note before in your life” – but Evan experiments with Arthur’s guitar overnight and then blows them all away. The music does speak to him, and he can understand it.  Wizard takes him in, gives him Arthur’s guitar, Arthur’s spot in the park, and a new name, “August Rush”, which has a better ring for performing.  Evan is enraptured – he’s making music for the first time, a part of the mystery he’s been listening to his whole life, but also, someone has given him a name, someone who means something to him. Wizard is the first and only father figure he has ever known.
But can Wizard truly be a father to him?  Wizard believes that music is a harmonic connection between all living beings, echoing back and forth between the spheres, heard only by those who are listening.  It’s reminiscent of a vague pantheism, a spirituality with “music” as the divine unity of the universe that you have to make yourself open to and one with. The trouble is, “harmonic connection” is a very tenuous connection, and at the same time, a very jealous connection.  Evan tells Wizard that he hopes his parents are listening to the music of the universe, that what he most wants to be in the world is “found” – but Wizard repeatedly says in negotiation, “of course he doesn’t have parents, I’m his representation, I’m his guardian”.  Real, interpersonal, permanent connections, like connections of family, have no place in his world of harmonic connection.  And especially, Evan’s gift for music cannot be something that his parents gave to him, cannot be something that ties him to them and them alone. That kind of relationship is too concrete; it has a strength of its own that puts it in tension with the universal connectedness of everything else.  
And more to the point, that kind of relationship cannot be manipulated.  Music connects Wizard and all his strays, but in a business, not a real family.  If music speaks something, communicates something, Wizard isn’t listening to the kids to see what they have to say.  He listens enough to know whether he can profit off of them – Evan, especially, he sees as a payoff.  He doesn’t want Evan to have parents, he doesn’t want Evan to be found, because then he can’t use him – he doesn’t want Evan’s insight that his music comes from his parents to be true, because then maybe it might be true that it will really lead him to them.
To be fair to Wizard, it’s hinted that he has his own, personal reasons for turning away from the societal structures that are meant to care for orphaned children. He gives an impassioned speech to Evan’s social worker when he turns up looking for him, saying that kids get lost in the system and they shut themselves off to the world, so that they don’t hear anything.  Human relationships cause hurt, and hurt causes people to choose instead to make themselves totally deaf and invulnerable – like Lyla and Louis.  But in rejecting imperfect relationships, Wizard has also rejected all real relationships – there’s only use, which holds its object at a distance.  
Evan can see that Wizard isn’t perfect – but what brings him to tears is watching all the other children in the park with their mothers.  Wizard is the only father he has ever known, and so he assumes fathers are meant to be distant and pragmatic, but he wishes he had a mother who would listen to him, would fill the need in his heart, still so unfulfilled, for closeness and unconditional love.  He still wants to play music, still wants to be heard so that maybe his parents will listen – but Wizard is starting to warp his understanding of what it all means. It reaches its height when there’s a raid of the theater, and Wizard warns Evan that if he gets caught not to tell anyone his real name, because they’ll send him back where he came from. His deepest desire – to be found – has been turned into a fear instead.
But when Evan runs from the raid, he follows the music and he ends up at a church, where he meets a little girl named Hope, who lets him sleep under her bed at the church’s shelter where she’s staying with her grandmother.  The next morning, before she goes off to school, she teaches Evan his scales and basic music notation.  “You’re like an angel,” he tells her, sincerely.  “Oh-kay,” she says, “I gotta go.”  But it’s true – not only does she sing beautifully, but she’s given him new words to speak.  She’s taken the thing that he felt and intuited and given him a way to make it concrete – and when the Reverend meets him, they bring him to Juilliard.  The rules he learns don’t inhibit his natural gift, he’s still listening – but he says when he writes it all down, it’s like speaking back.  Basically, he gets religion – someone to explain to him that all his deepest hopes and impulses are true, they can be explained, and a response is possible. He enters a community of people who are listening together, and speaking back together.  He learns, he helps his much-older classmates with their homework, and he plays with music in a way that he’s never had the freedom to do before. The Dean of Juilliard asks Evan where the music he hears comes from – he says the ones who gave it to him, and she doesn’t dismiss him.  His new worldview, his new community, includes the possibility of belonging to a family, of being tied together by giving and receiving love.
While Evan, or rather August, is at Juilliard, his parents have been orbiting ever and ever closer to him.  Louis runs into an old bandmate, reconnects with his brother, and realizes that his life is suffocating him.  He finds Lyla on the internet, discovers where she lives, and flies out to Chicago to wait around outside her apartment building.  Finally he manages to speak to a neighbor, who tells him, “oh, the musician? she’s out of town, on her honeymoon.”  Louis is hurt, but then, on an impulse, he flies to New York instead of back home, gets his old band back together, and starts writing music again.  He couldn’t move on from Lyla, couldn’t get her off his mind, until he made peace with the fact that she was never his to begin with.  Their love was a single, contingent moment, it wasn’t everything – but it wasn’t nothing either.  He doesn’t need to turn his back on music and love altogether.  It is love that requires that he let her go.
Lyla isn’t on her honeymoon – that’s her musician roommate – she’s in New York.  Her father had a health scare and confessed to her the truth of what he’d done, and Lyla set off to look for her son.  This is the confirmation of everything that she felt – everyone told her her son was dead, but she knew that wasn’t true, she has felt him in her heart and she never stopped wanting him.  She says it feels like she just woke up; the darkness and loss was a terrible dream, this is reality.  She gets in touch with Evan’s social worker, who figures out which child is hers – but she already knows.  She saw his face on a bulletin board and recognized him immediately.  He’s missing and at risk, all she can do to find him is print flyers, but she picks up her cello again, and agrees to play with the Philharmonic.  Maybe he’ll hear her.

A Bunch of Good Things from 2019
*I don’t do things consistently, so there’s chunks of time I just forgot to write. So the blank spaces are days where I could not recall the exact good things that happened.*
January 1: Started the year off right by hanging out with @nah-young, eating some delicious leftovers from New Year’s Eve and working on a puzzle. Also caught a shiny Delibird in Pokemon Go as the first catch of the year.  2: Had a headache at work, but went home to take care of myself. Dad and I talked for a long time about money and taxes without arguing. I have also discovered a future hobby I want to get into: 3D printing. 3: I cranked out four solid hours of studying. I’m going to ace the Auditing section of the CPA exam. I feel it in my bones (especially when I finally stood up and stretched). 4: My ‘other mom’ (one of my best friend’s mom) took me out for a belated Birthday lunch to our favorite Thai food place, and I enjoyed more mango sticky rice. It’s one of my new favorite desserts. 5: Did some epic New Year cleaning. Caught up on laundry, filed away my 2018 paperwork, and did some 2019 taxes. Finally on top of things! 6: A puzzle day! I connected a big piece of the sky to the side on the Lion King puzzle. I’ve still got a lot to go, but progress is being made. 7: As usual, I both surprised and pleased the teller at the bank when I moved some money from savings into my IRA. They wanted to know if it was for tax year 2018, but I could tell them last year was maxed out and it was for 2019. 8: Got to practice my training and supervising skills with @arrowhearts.  9: Spent the night at Lucy’s (she’s a cat). She’s the sweetest cat though, and was cuddling in my lap for so long! She even held my finger with her paw for like ten minutes. I love her. 10: It’s been forever, but I finally sat down and played some video games. I’m replaying Arkham Asylum again and really just exploring every nook and cranny I can find. 11: Might have started a new Francis story line ... Whoops :) 12: Helped Jane clear an apartment and acquired many new tools and art supplies to use. 13: Snow! It was snowing before bed, but I still woke up at 5 am to about 4 - 5 inches. Activated my dad gene and started shoveling at 5:30 am (sorry neighbors to the house I was dog sitting at). It’s so pretty out! 14: A quiet day, but I did some work for Jane and gamed some more. Can’t wait to start Arkham City when I get 100% on Arkham Asylum! 15: I took my coworker a basket of fun snacks from Lotte for her Birthday. She’s so excited to try them all! 16: Donated blood today and when I went to get dinner on the way home, I got a free salad! The entree was already free and I ordered a side salad. I pulled out my wallet to pay, but the coupon covered it, too!  17: Treated myself to breakfast on the way into preschool (my new volunteer place since the teacher I followed to several elementary schools is now at). Also ate some amazing home cooked food for lunch with @nah-young before going out for ice cream. 18: Did some very early spring cleaning to prep for my next yard sale and straighten up a bit. 19: Beat the storyline and finished gathering all of Riddler’s trophies in Arkham Asylum. I do still need to finish up the additional content for 100% completion. 20: Working with Jane to help clean out an apartment again and got stencils to use for my art (the ones with shapes of different sizes). I had wanted to get me a set, so I really lucked out. 21: Started reading a book for fun. Lol, I forgot that I can still read non-accounting things for fun. 22: Sent out 1099s at work. It’s always a dreaded part of the year, but it’s taken care of! 23: I started uploading my old Franmouche stories to AO3. I forgot that I’d written 185 pages of them. At least if someone else likes my rarepair, they have lots to read. No guarantees on the quality, but there is quantity. 24: Made fun penguin cutouts for the preschool class I volunteer at. Then studied for nine hours on campus. A busy, yet productive day. 25:  Finished watching all my lectures for the next portion of the CPA exam! So much auditing knowledge!!! 26: Panic alleviated. My check engine light had been on for a few days. Usually it’s just a gas cap issue so I was worried, but after readjusting the cap again (which usually fixes it) and an oil change, the light went out! 27: Played some Pokemon Go for four hours with @arrowhearts and Lyla. No Kyogre, but at least we each got a Groudon. Plus, the weather was beautiful for this time of year. 28: I found a dollar today while sweeping the parking lots with my dad! I’m gonna be riding this wave for a week. (Fun fact: my dad and I used to go bike riding on Sunday afternoons/evenings in the local parking garages and look for pennies. We’d always get bragging rights when we found a quarter or more. We still get excited and tell each other of the day’s finds when we find a few coins while we’re sweeping). 29: Had a bit of a headache, but managed to get through it so I could finish the workday. Then I get some well deserved rest. 30: Met up with @nah-young for some fries and ice cream! 31: My annual physical went well! Took care of a couple test we’ve been putting off, too, and they weren’t quite as bad as I thought they’d be.
February
1: I had such a productive day in the office, even for a Friday. Special thanks to @arrowhearts for helping me move all (24  years worth) of our files. 2: Started off the day a little rough and feeling low, but I decided to go up to campus, and I’m so glad I did. I was able to help a bunch of people get to their destination. Also hung out with @nah-young and @arrowhearts in a sketchy room. 3: Technically today (starting at 1 am). Had a great talk with @nah-young about a lot of things including our friendship. Successfully avoided the Super Bowl (which I heard sucked, so that was a good use of my time). 4: Had a really good conversation with my dad for almost an hour. We had some fights earlier in the year, but it was nice to be able to connect some. 5: It’ll be silly to look back on, but I thought I lost a reference letter for a scholarship applicant, but realized I could find it on our shared drive. Such a relief! 6: I tried Duck Donuts for the first time today. One of our board members brought me and a coworker a half dozen each. 7: Caught a Miltank in Pokemon Go! I thought I missed my chance, but there was a special running, so I got it. 8: Just heard we got a new boss at work, so it’ll be nice to be full staffed again. 9: Started working on a painting for @arrowhearts. It might be my first completed artwork of the year. 10: A lazy day, but I flipped through a book on home decorating. You know, to plan for my future house. 11: Officially started working for Jane’s business. We’ll see how it goes, but at least it’s an extra couple of hours per week. 12: Finished a dog sitting job, and I’m super thankful to be sleeping in my own bed again. 13: I gave Lucy, the sweetest cat ever, a piggyback ride and it was the cutest thing ever. I was on my knees and forearms trying to get Lucy to boop my nose when she just climbed on my back and sat down. I rose up on my knees and hands and she did the “i’m not so sure but I’m going to stay here” stand and let me crawl across the floor a while before finally jumping off. I love this cat. 14: Took the auditing section of the CPA exam. I feel much better about this one than I have about the other two. We’ll see on the 26th. 15: Such a busy day at the office! It was productive, but just a lot of work. 16: Even though I just too the other exam, I managed to get a lot of studying done. 17: Mamaw and I got to chat and work on the puzzle for a while. It was nice to hang out with her since I haven’t done son in quite a while. 18: We had some really good food at our investment club meeting today. Sheppard’s pie (like meat and mashed potatoes), salad, this great cracker dip (I have no other details other than feels like sharp cheddar finally shredded with a hint of spice in some sort of sauce). 19: Our new executive director started today. I think I made a pretty good first impression! 20: Started playing Arkham City again. We had a snow day and even my office closed, so I made the most of my day. 21: Lol and today I finished the main storyline of Arkham City. Accidentally, because I was doing side quests, but Batman got mad when I tried to go finish some before the last mission. 24: I am obsessed with Excel, but I figured out a formula so that it would total certain categories even if they weren’t in order. Plus I learned how to make a drop down menu (on two versions of Excel). Guess who’s budget looks beautiful! 25: I caught a Latias in Pokemon Go. Not having much luck with the water legendaries. I wonder if they don’t like me because we picked the grass starter. 26: I passed the Auditing section! (and instead of keeping it quiet, I made a point to tell some people). Then @nah-young and I went to dinner to celebrate our successes of the day and just have a nice chat. 27: Good news: I starved off a migraine that was starting on Feb 26. Maybe this new method will help them from getting bad. Just took an Aleve with some hot tea. 28: Went on a Pokemon run, and I found $20 blowing across the yard when I got home! A nice find for the year.
March 1: I’ve been really getting into “Ghost Story” by Peter Straub and had so much time to just sit and read while it rained. 2: I watched “Spiderman: Enter the Spiderverse” today. An epic movie and I highly recommend it! I also have several new costume ideas... 3: Officially started working on my Library Comic Con cosplay. There’s not much to show, but it was nice to start costuming again. 4: Hiked up to the nearby bubble tea. It was good! I got a mango green tea creama. Next time I know I have to mix it up before I start drinking it. 5: 6:   7: 8: 9: 10: Started replaying Castlevania IV. It’s been a while since I beat it, so hopefully I can still finish it! 11: I have proven myself an Excel deity. Well, at least Jane thinks though. She needed a spreadsheet for something and had some ideas so I whipped it out in five minutes flat with a bunch of formulas she didn’t even know were possible. I’m quite proud of it. 12: Lol, speaking of excel, I was geeking out over my budget with one of our board members. She was showing me how she built her itinerary in excel for her next trip and I got to show off my budget. 13: 14: 15: It was fake St. Patrick’s day at work, so I got to show off my green Riddler suit. Apart from being mistaken as dressing like a leprechaun a few times, I received a bunch of compliments on it. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of that suit jacket. 16: Tagged along with @nah-young to her grandfather’s birthday party and watched Bohemian Rhapsody. Apart from the timeline inaccuracies, I really enjoyed it! Look at that: two new movies in one month. 17: First big leaf job of the season. I guess the first major landscaping job. Dad helped out, so it made life easier. 18: Investment club meeting went well, and I ended up staying late to chat and help clean up, but it was enjoyable. Also had some great tiramisu from Trader Joe’s. 19: 20: 21: It was a downpour today, but I also made a 20 minute Costco run. Parking was great, the lines were short, and I managed to balance everything without a cart. Success! 22: Finally got around to doing invoices. It’s such a weight off my chest to take care of them. 23: I had the house to myself, so got ample studying done, played some pokemon, and treated myself to some bubble tea. Got myself a bunch of good pokes from Community day. 24: Another lovely day to sit and hang out with @nah-young. I always enjoy our hour long conversations just sitting in my car in her driveway. I also finished the lectures for the BEC portion of the CPA exam. 25: I found a gift card loaded with $30 today. It had been thrown into the dumpster, so a little gross, but it washed off nicely. 26: Ran up to the local library to turn in my books (look @arrowhearts, I did it the day before they were due and didn’t have to make a midnight run). I wasn’t going to check out more books since I already had some checked out from another library visit (I go to many branches due to my job and often check out a book or two, resulting in cycles of books due at different times), but I did anyway. I started reading Area X, too, and so far, I’m really enjoying it. 27: Our family’s accountants think I’m a bit weird because I was so excited to get my tax papers back even though I owed money. I was just like “cool!” to all the facts and things on my sheets, which is apparently not what they’re used to, but one of the new tax laws works in my favor as small business income is taxed at a lower rate or something. 28:  29: 30: I love Annihilation in the Area X series! I haven’t plowed through a book that fast in years. 31: I was catching up on my business spreadsheets and it turns out I had the most profitable March since I started my business :)
April 1: No April Fools jokes, which is always a huge plus. 2: 3: 4: Took the BEC section of the exam and then clocked in a bunch of hours for the Foundation. Jubilee is almost here!!! 5: 6: The Jubilee is over!!! What a relief! A lot of things went well, and I heard it was a lot of people’s favorite. Not sure what actually happened because I was stationed at check in/out all night, but hopefully the silent auction results are good. Huge shout out to @arrowhearts and @nah-young for getting me through the night! 7:A quiet morning of returning the Jubilee to the Foundation. Plus some other landscaping. 8: I know everyone at work is saying I should take time off, and I didn’t, but I’m actually feeling blessed that I have the physical and mental stamina to keep working on things. Plus, I need to catch up with post Jubilee stuff. 9: 10: 11: 12: 13: 14: 15: 16: 17: 18: 19:  Got to talking with my art dealer for a long while and we exchanged headcannons and ideas. 20: Had a nice Pokemon run with @arrowhearts‘ dog. Plus, enough work to keep me out of trouble X) 21: A very busy Easter. I moved a huge mound of mulch. It was half the size of my car. Hopefully the home owner will like it. 22: 23: 24: 25: 26: 27: 28: 29: 30: 31: I’ve been feeling behind, but I finally knocked out a really important thing at work today. Got our annual applications in!
May 1: 2: 3: My gauntlets for my comic con costume look so cool! They’re a little stabby (there’s staples on the inside, although I should be able to tape it down for safety), but overall look cool for a first draft. 4: A long day, but I feel like I was really able to help my friend and her family, which is nice considering how much they do for me. 5: The event that happened wasn’t good, but I’ve been humbled as to how well our house was kept and motivated to try and become more organized. 6:  Dad and I were chatting today, and we could even touch on topics in a civil manner. It was quite nice!  7: Just found out I passed the BEC section of the CPA exam! I’m 75% CPA!!! And no cavities were found after my dentist appointment :) 8: Frantically working on my costume, but my head piece looks really good! 9: Mom even chipped in to help. We rigged up a steampunk mask I have (which doesn’t fit on my head right) so that I can actually wear it. 10: I’ve been fasting for Ramadan and I think my body and I are finally on the same page. It was a rough start this year, but I’m looking forward to focusing on being thankful for what I have and working on self discipline. 11: Library Comic Con! My costume is a bit rough, so no final pictures, but I have plans to make it better! 12: It was a busy Sunday. Lots of lawns, but thankfully the weather was cool. 13: 14: 15: 16: 17: Had a nice meeting with my boss. I keep feeling like I’m not on top of things or she’s disappointed, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Plus, she said I did great at the finance committee meeting, so that was nice. 18: Although I scared everyone I worked with all day, I was able to donate blood even though I had been fasting.  19: I saw the tiniest inch worm while I was pulling weeds today. It was more like a quarter inch worm and it was just trying so hard to climb up my arm when I found it. I also saw the first lightening bugs of the year. As a bug type Pokemon trainer, I’m quite pleased with all of this (less so with the mosquitoes though, as I got my first bite of the season). 20: I have found a nice way to keep cool at the property Dad and I work at. I’m allowed to douse my head, neck, and hat with the hose, and man does it feel good! 21: I received many compliments at the executive committee meeting for all my hard work on the budget, the Jubilee, and finance committee. 22: Caught up on reconciliations at work (finally). It’s been just a nightmare, but I’m happy they’re done. 23: Another me day. I’ve been taking Thursdays off and got to game for a bit but also accomplish a lot of laundry and studying. 24: Had a good meeting at work to discuss the future of the nonprofit I work at. Plus I finally made a phone call I didn’t want to make. 25: Went to a foam helmet making class with a coworker. I’m super excited to start trying out this style, and I think the sample we made in class can easily be used to make a helmet for Vile. Might have purchased a few things to go with it :) 26: Found a new drink that I love from Kung Fu Tea! Also got to rewatch Coco, which is always good. 27: Part of my afternoon spent working with Jane was changing her screen saver. It was set up for one photo of pictures, but some were so fuzzy, so we set up new pictures and I got to add my fuzzball to the reel. 28: I visited one of Jane’s friends to discuss dog sitting and we had such a nice conversation afterwards. 29: I found a four leave clover today while mowing lawns. It’s been years since I’ve found one, so that was exciting. 30: I plowed through about 6 hours of studying for the FAR portion of the CPA exam. Only two more lectures and then onto multiple choice! 31: Filled out a form at work (finally). Now I just have to hope my boss will sign it and have it notarized.
June 1: 2: 3: 4: 5: 6: Took the (hopefully) last CPA exam. It was nice as I spoke to an elevator engineer before the exam and it helped to calm my nerves a bit.   7: 8: 9: 10: 11: 12: 13: 14: Wasn’t sure what day to put this on, but @nah-young and I hung out for hours just sitting and chatting on the cats’ back porch. 15: Successfully navigated into DC with the help of @arrowhearts (and had an interesting laugh about her being my son...? Oh well, at least we got to give the people sitting outside a show as we left the building with two rollie office chairs each). 16: Started working on my Halloween costume. I’ve abandoned the idea I originally had and will be switching to a different Mega Man X character (fun fact: it was a costume I originally intended to make before being introduced to Scaramouche back in 2017) 17: It was a scorcher, but had a slurpee for the first time in almost a year. I’m so thankful for the 7-11 within walking distance of where my dad and I work on Mondays. 18: I’ve officially passed the CPA exam! Now onto the next steps... 19: I have been struggling with telling people good news, but I did make an effort to inform some people about me passing the exam. 20: Told some more people about the CPA exam and just trying not to stress. I got celebratory milkshakes for my family after dinner. 21: My coworkers are so sweet. They brought me in a cake and we had a mini celebration. 22: 23: 24: 25: 26:Found a praying mantis while mowing. She kept standing where I wanted to mow, so I got to pick her up and put her somewhere safe (with lots of snacks for her!) 27: 28: 29: So glad I went to see Detective Pikachu with @nah-young and @arrowhearts! I really enjoyed it! 30: 31:
July 1: A new fiscal year! I did manage to get a good bit done on my latch hook. 2: A sudden thunderstorm took me off the weed pulling job early (i.e. a perfect opportunity to read). 3: It was quiet in the office. Too quiet ... yet super productive! I processed so many gifts and letters. 4: I don’t really celebrate, and spent a lot of it working, but played some pokemon in the rain. It was a warm day, so the cool rain felt so refreshing! 5: A jammed packed day with trashrooms, a bank run, and more pokemon quests! I completed another 15 and hatched a new pokemon. Plus I finished another book: Dr. Death. 6: A busy day, but I was able to finish everything so I can take the next day off completely (for once). Again, apologies to @arrowhearts  for dragging you out and getting caught in a downpour so I could get some bubble tea! 7: 8: 9: 10: Unboxed my unicycle! Not sure when I’ll ride, but it’s ready when I am. 11: 12: 13: 14: The vanity is back in my bathroom! Dad’s renovating it, and it’s been a slow process, but I finally have a sink! 15: 16: 17: 18: 19: 20: Spent a few hours working on cleaning the basement, and I’m finally seeing some of the fruits of my labor. 21: 22: 23: 24: Officially finished the Vile helmet! 25: Just started a new dog sitting job, and the house is right on top of a pokestop. Guess I’m going to have a full item bag again! 26: Finally got myself a memory stick for my PSP. I’m replaying the Maverick Hunter X game ... because I can! 27: Got three team rocket grunts in one day at the one stop. 28: Plowed through the Vile portion of Maverick Hunter X. Lol, I probably make it harder on myself since I only use my favorites, regardless of if they’re good against the boss. 29: Had a huge crab and shrimp dinner at Jane’s house. 30: Hung out and ate delicious homemade butter chicken with my best friend’s mom (she’s basically like my other mother). We laughed and chatted, showed off our latest projects, probably kept the neighbors up, and just had a good time until like 2 in the morning.  31: Welp, it wasn’t a raid day for armored Mewtwo, but @arrowhearts and I did defeat more Team Rocket Go grunts in the rain.
August 1: Chatted with @nah-young for a few hours and I’ve got a new place to eat on my radar! 2: I kept feeling like I was letting my boss down because I couldn’t answer her questions/didn’t understand, but she insisted I was handling myself well, and found the information she needed later. Plus, she’s very complimentary of my work and appreciates my transparency and work ethic, both of which I work hard on and value. 3: 4: 5: 6:   7: 8: 9: 10: 11: 12: 13: 14: 15: 16: 17: 18: 19: 20: 21: 22: 23: 24: 25: 26: 27: 28: 29: 30: 31:
September 1: 2: 3: It’s official! We’re having a Halloween party at work. If my new schedule turns out, I’ll be at work on that day and will show off a costume. Not sure if it will be the one I’m working on, but I can always recycle an old one. 4: 5: 6:   7: 8: 9: 10: 11: 12: 13: 14: 15: I had such a good ripstik run. @nah-young and I practiced for a good while yesterday (and she did her first trick, too!). I guess it’s nice to see the fruits of our practice since we’ve been working off and on for about a month. 16: Had the investment club meeting at my house. I didn’t get to cook everything, but I picked the recipe and it turned out well! 17: I finished “Every Tool’s a Hammer” by Adam Savage (from Mythbusters) and I really recommend it. It’s such a great book for anyone who makes or creates. It’s a fun read and chocked full of helpful hints. 18: I decided to start reading the Naruto series. I’m enjoying it so far! Now I just have to wait for the next to volumes to be available from the library. 19: I started replaying Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase. It’s amusing, although I’m a little rough. 20: 21: 22: 23: I’d been on the fence about taking a vacation early next year because I want to save up for a down payment, but after talking to my dad, I decided I’d do a little something. I still need to work out the plans (and make sure the people I want to visit are free), but I’m looking forward to it! 24: 25: 26: There’s a chance I might be going full time at my office job, so dad encouraged me to take the day off from trash rooms. I still got up early, but knocked out a bunch of chores, finished Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase, finished a drawing, and cleaned in the basement a bit. 27: Lol, I just realized I have three cycles of books checked out again. I started reading The Wicked Years series. I’m trying to set aside time each night so I can read a chapter or two before bed. 28: I made the pattern for my gauntlets! I’m actually trying to do it the right way and making measurements, creating an accurate template, and just generally taking my time. 29: Part 2 of the gauntlets: They’re made! My template worked and I spent a couple of hours slowly forming and shaping them. I still need some practice on the gluing component, but at least they feel sturdy. 30: Started replaying DK 64 again. I really love this game. Besides Gauntlet Legends, it’s probably my favorite N64 game we own. 31: Got rained out at work, but managed to take it easy in the afternoon and just generally keep ahead with laundry.
October 1: Today officially marks the first day of working full time at my office job. They added ten hours a week, so now I’m working 4 days at 10 hours each. It’ll take a little adjusting. I’m happy for the extra hours! 2: I sent out invoices on time for once! 3: It was my fuzzball’s 16th Birthday today! Someone also brought in some really yummy snacks to work that were leftover from a meeting. I also managed to create templates for the leg gauntlets and cut them out of  foam. I’m just rolling with the motivation now, and would like to have Vile finished by Halloween (keep reading to find out if it was finished). 4: Really just having a good time playing DK 64. Knocked out Gloomy Galleon, so all that’s left are my favorite levels! 5: 6:   7: I have leg gauntlets formed. Lol, I guess I should look up the name... All that’s left is the chest plate and cape! 8: I lucked out! My coworker can’t go to a book signing even this weekend and asked me to get her book signed since I’m going. It was the perfect opportunity to get my hands on a copy of “Where the Crawdads Sing” which I wanted to read before this weekend. 9: Making some headway on the costume again! Arm and leg gauntlets have the plating and base coat of plastidip. 10: I finished “Where the Crawdads Sing” within 48 hours of having it my possession. That’s such a huge accomplishment to read something so quickly and eagerly! 11: I was plowing through my to do list at work. I knocked out 11 items. Woo! 12: 13: 14: 15: 16: 17: 18: 19: 20: 21: 22: 23: 24: 25: 26: 27: 28: 29: 30: My Halloween costume is finished *gasp* before Halloween! Barely, but it counts. 31: I won the most creative costume at work! Well, tied for first, but that’s cool.

She bring such a positive and fun attitude to the workplace. 13: 14: I’m officially 25! I worked a few hours in the rain, but got a lot done (and saw Lucy, my favorite cat I cat sit). Instead of going to a steakhouse for dinner, which I’m not a fan of, we ended up going to somewhere I did enjoy. Overall, it was a nice and quiet celebration. 15: 16: 17: I finished the Naruto series today! It was a good series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Going to take a manga break to work on a few novels I have checked out and then  decide which series to start. 18:  19: A busy day again. Knocked out two leaf clients for the year and went to see three bands perform at a local music club. I stayed out way too late, but had a great time hanging with a friend, one of the performers, and the performer’s friend. 20: 21: 22: 23: 24: Hung out with my brother and grandmother. I crushed them in several games! 25: Went to my coworkers in the afternoon and dueled for the first time in quiet a while. They wiped the floor with me, but I had fun with my deck destruction deck. 26: 27: Ended up hanging out with Jane for a while and just chatting about everything. We’re seeing eye to eye on a lot of things, so it was nice.  28: Finished my leaf jobs for the year! Time to relax. 29: 30: 31: Welp, ended up being sick and missing out on the intended New Year plans. I guess I did start the year with a migraine, so here I am ending it with one. After I rested up, I did start playing my favorite video game. Plus, I frantically read “Hey, Kiddo!” before the end of the year

Could you maybe write a speculation fic for ep 7x13. Maybe with Stanley breaking into Olicity’s home and kidnapping Felicity & Will to torment Oliver? I’m totally in love w/ your account.
I didn’t have time for a speculation fic last week :/ But for the first time in a while, Arrow actually succeeded my expectations! I literally do not have a single note on what I’d change. If I were to write a speculation fic, it would’ve been incredibly similar to what we saw happen with the Queen family in 7x13 (although the paralyzing drug and Stanley’s backstory were incredibly creative details. It’s actually much cooler than what I would’ve come up with). 
I do have this story that I wrote after the episode Stanley escaped from prison, though. If you wanna check it out, anon :)

After Oliver came home, Felicity never thought she’d step foot in Slabside again.
Yet, with the way their life together tended to snowball, twisting and tumbling unexpectedly, she probably should have prepared herself better for this. She should have been ready.
Being ready, or rather not being ready, is the exact thing that compelled her to come back to this awful place, though. An annoyingly persistent need to seek the truth.
As the guard closes the door behind her, Felicity sees the man who can answer her questions. Although he looks so much smaller than she remembered him. Maybe being drugged and paralyzed, sitting between the two most important men in her life made Stanley Dover seem more intimidating than he did now.
Now, he is an inmate again. Pale, exhausted, and scared. Just as Oliver must have seen him all those months ago. He seems frail. Like a man who couldn’t hurt a fly, if only because he doesn’t look capable of it.
But Felicity made sure to do her homework on this man. Any man, woman, or metahuman who carried a grudge against her husband warranted digging from now on.
“Felicity?” He sees her through the glass, waving as if she’s a friend rather than a failed attempt at murder.
She couldn’t begin to understand someone like Stanley, nor did she really want to. But she didn’t come here to fight with him. So, Felicity plasters on a smile, coming over to sit and slowly picking up the phone. She waits until he does the same. “Hi, Stanley.”
To his credit, Stanley looks ashamed. He averts his gaze. “I never thought I’d see you again.” His eyes flicker up to her, sparking with something that makes her shiver before he asks, “did Oliver send you?”
“No,” she shakes her head. “Oliver won’t be visiting you. Stanley, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. You won’t be going anywhere near my husband.”
His lips twitch, and then a curt laugh escapes him. “You’re protective. Fierce.” He nods, “I could always see why Oliver fell in love with you, Felicity. I told you, I know him better than anyone. I’m glad that he found someone who deserves him. Adores and appreciates him like the hero that he is. You’re the only person left in his life who is worthy.”
Pausing for a moment, Felicity catches her breath. She’d just been thinking a moment ago how weak and pathetic Stanley had looked. She’d almost felt bad for him. But as he speaks, she’s reminded of how dangerous Stanley Dover is. And how she needs to make sure he never sees the outside of Slabside again.
“That’s actually what I came to talk to you about,” Felicity answers. “You said something the other night...and I need to ask you about it.”
Leaning closer, Stanley grips the phone, “okay, Felicity...ask.”
“You said you needed to warn Oliver.”
Stanley leans back, his eyes on her face. For what he lacks in sanity, he makes up for in awareness. Felicity realized last week that there isn’t a point lying to this man. He would know. She’s hoping that transparency will earn her honesty. “This is about those friends of his, isn’t it?”
Felicity sighs, “you told him that he can’t believe everything they say. That you’ve done things to protect him. And I can’t seem to get your words out of my head, Stanley.”
“Oliver didn’t want to listen...”
Lifting her jaw, Felicity looks into the man’s eyes. “That’s what I came here to do.”
After a long pause, one where Felicity knows that Stanley is trying to read her and she keeps her eyes uncomfortably focused on him, he finally speaks. “That Ramirez man who Oliver puts his neck out for again and again...and in return, Wild Dog gets him sent right in here.” Stanley seethes, and Felicity can already see him escalating. “And the metahuman who thinks she’s helping him, as if a badge is what he needs. As if a police officer is a worthy title for Oliver Queen.” The vein in his head forms as his face grows red, his voice getting louder, “I had to hurt her,” he grits through his teeth. “I had to take her scream.”
With her stomach rolling, Felicity stares at Stanley, feeling abnormally fascinated by him...now that there’s a thick glass between them that keeps his violent, terrifying actions away from her. The last thing she needs is to be a target for someone like that.
“Oh my god,” Stanley’s voice breaks her from her thoughts, her eyes snapping back up to him. But he’s not looking at her face. His gaze is on her stomach, where her hand had instinctively moved. Seeing the look of realization on his face makes Felicity’s hand fly away from her belly.
Stanley’s eyes travel back up to hers, and she knows that he knows.
Standing up, Felicity steps back without a word. “Wait!” He calls after her, his hand slapping against the glass. She shouldn’t have come. It didn’t do any good. “There’s more you need to hear, Felicity! Listen! You have to listen!”
“You’re not telling me anything I don’t already know, Stanley,” she shakes her head, clutching her purse tightly on her shoulder.
“It’s about John Diggle!” 
Felicity stops, turning back to look at the wild expression in the man’s eyes. The desperation. 
“He’s not the man that you and Oliver think he is.”
One thing that makes Oliver more nervous than the people behind any of his scars, is a silent Felicity Smoak.
His wife always has something to say. When she’s not offering him profound advice and support, she’s probably babbling like the adorable genius he’s used to. He knows that she’s going through just as much as him, but it’s always unsettling if Felicity doesn’t have an opinion to give. 
Oliver expected her to have a hard time with this. He just hadn’t expected her not to let him hear it.
He wants to hear it.
“Felicity,” Oliver glances at her as he drives, noticing the way she’s picking at her nail polish. He frowns, reaching over to cover her hands with one of his. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” she answers, her eyes widening a bit.
“You’ve been saying ‘nothing’ for days now. Talk to me...”
Felicity fidgets, playing with his index finger, her eyes focused on her lap. “Let’s just get to John’s, okay?”
He sighs, trying to figure it out as he watches her. “Is it William?” Oliver asks lowly, squeezing her fingers. “I know we told him we’d visit in a couple months, but I can call Samantha’s parents...maybe we can take a weekend trip to Central City.”
“It—” she purses her lips, “that would be great, Oliver. We should.”
“Felicity,” he whispers, “please. You’ve been acting strange since William left. What’s going on with you?”
Hearing the hurt in his voice, Felicity looks back at him. And she smiles, but it doesn’t quite reach her eyes. “Everything’s going to be fine, Oliver.”
He blinks, feeling his shoulders tense. “Going to be?”
“We can talk about it later,” she soothes, “we’re almost at John and Lyla’s.”
Oliver hesitates, turning onto their street. “You’re scaring me, Felicity.”
“Honey,” Felicity forces a laugh, rubbing her hand against his arm. “I need you to trust me.” He nods, and she returns it. “Hopefully John can clear some things up,” his wife mumbles as he parks.
She gets out of the car, hurrying towards the house, moving like she can’t wait to get away from him. And Oliver takes a moment to let out a deep breath before he follows.
Putting his arms behind his back, Oliver steps behind his wife, leaning down to her ear as she knocks on the Diggles’ door. 
“Hmm,” he whispers, letting his lips touch her skin, feeling that shiver run through her as he presses his chest against her back. “You know that I have very effective ways of getting you to tell me things, right? I’m prepared to put the salmon ladder back up if I need to, baby.”
“Oh, no-ho-ho, mister,” she shoots him a glare over her shoulder. “Your sweaty and naked self is what got us into trouble in the first place.”
His eyebrows push together, confusion on the tip of his tongue, but the door swings open. “Hey, guys,” Lyla greets them with a smile. “John’s just putting JJ down for a nap. Come on in.”
They follow Lyla inside, and Oliver can’t help but notice that Felicity only grows even more tense as they walk down the hall. And when she sees John, Felicity crosses her arms. “We need to talk.”
Closing the door to his son’s bedroom, John raises his eyebrows at her confrontational tone. It surprises Oliver, too. “Okay,” Dig says slowly, “about what?”
“The ghost initiative,” she cocks her head to the side. Oliver freezes, watching as John and Lyla share a look. Felicity laughs in the silence. “Well, that’s not quite denial I’m hearing.”
“We needed to bring the initiative back,” John explains, glancing at Oliver. “I was going to tell you,”
Felicity steps in front of him, forcing him to look at her. He does, and for the first time, Oliver clocks the guilt in John’s eyes. Remorse that he directs right at Felicity. 
“Is Diaz on the squad?”
Diggle sighs, running his hand over his face, “Felicity...Diaz has a connection to a criminal named Dante. ARGUS needs to find him, and Diaz is our only shot at it.”
“So...” Felicity shakes her head incredulously. “You’re working with him. You’re working with the man that tried to kill my entire family.”
“We need him.”
Oliver closes his eyes, dropping his head. “For what?” He sighs, understanding what had Felicity so tense.
“Intel. Dante runs an organization called the Ninth Circle. It’s like a high-class black market. Items are sold through underground auctions...things that people have no business getting their hands on. Based on what Diaz has told us, Dante has access to nuclear codes, bombs, and plenty of other weapons that could kill a whole lot of people.”
High stakes. It irritates him that this is the first he’s heard about it. Oliver shakes his head, glancing between the three of them. “When is the next auction?”
“Tomorrow night,” Lyla chimes in. “The team is going on their first mission. We were going to wait...but Diaz says that Dante has his hands on something incredibly dangerous.”
Felicity scoffs, “and you believe him?”
The aggression in her voice surprises Oliver, and raises more than a few questions. “How did you know about that Lyla and John resurrected the squad?”
Her eyes snap to him, and she lets out a sharp breath. “Stanley told me.”
“Stan—” Oliver stalls, his jaw clenching. “When?”
“This morning,” she holds her chin high, pushing her shoulders back. “I may have paid a visit to Slabside.”
Oliver’s eyebrows shoot up, ready to talk about that. But Lyla cuts him off. “It’s not a matter of believing Diaz,” she draws back the conversation. “It’s just that we can’t take the risk. Diaz said that the last time he was in contact with Dante, Dante was after a powerful virus. One that could wipe out an entire city if it’s exposed in the air.”
Oliver freezes, knowing exactly the weapon that could do that. One he’d seen in Hong Kong. One that had almost leveled Star City. “The Alpha-Omega virus? How the hell did this Dante guy get his hands on something like that?”
“Most likely...it was stolen from ARGUS and given to him,” John mumbles. “Like I said, this isn’t someone to mess around with. We have to take him seriously.”
“Fine,” Oliver nods, pausing for a moment. “You better just make damn sure that he stays far away from my family.”
“Are you ready to tell me what’s bothering you,” Oliver finally asks, keeping his eyes on the door of the venue. But he feels his wife turn her head to look at him from the passenger seat.
“You want to discuss this here? In the middle of an ARGUS mission?”
“We’re not technically in the mission,” he purses his lips.
Felicity snorts, “no, we’re just stalking it.”
“We’re—” he huffs, throwing a glance at her. “We’re observing.”
“Sure,” she shrugs, her sass coming out in full swing. “That’s probably what Stanley the Stalker calls it, too.”
Letting out a deep breath, Oliver shakes his head. “Speaking of Stanley...let’s talk about your trip to Slabside yesterday.”
“Let’s...not,” she groans.
“I’m getting worried about you, Felicity. It’s not like you to keep things from me...”
“Ah,” she nods, raising her eyebrows at him. “I forgot. That’s your thing, isn’t it?”
Oliver cocks his head to the side, “you’re really upset about something.” He frowns, “deflecting isn’t really your thing.”
“What are you,” his wife rolls her eyes. “The expert on all things Felicity Smoak?”
In response, he shrugs, “only if there’s some kind of award for my expertise...” Oliver relaxes a bit when Felicity chuckles, a smile spreading across her lips, just as he’d been hoping.
“Look, Oliver...” she sighs. “There is something that I need to tell you. Something we need to talk about. But I need you to trust me when I say that we will. And that everything is okay.”
He analyzes her for a long moment, “you’re okay?”
“More than,” Felicity smiles back, lifting her hand to graze his cheek, her fingers gliding down his neck to the collar of his shirt.
“When do you think you’ll let me in on this something, then?”
“Maybe when we’re not stalking our friends,” she scrunches her nose, making a face.
“Observ—”
“Uh huh,” Felicity laughs, her fingers squeezing his shoulder. “Observing.”
“Okay,” he breathes, checking the door one more time before he turns his body towards Felicity. “Come here,”
She grins, meeting him halfway. Oliver hums, combing his fingers through Felicity’s hair, brushing his nose against hers.
Her lips barely touch his before gunshots and yelling interrupt them.
“Wait here,” he grumbles, moving quickly out of the car and towards the building. By the time he crosses the street, people are screaming, running from the door as the gunshots grow louder.
Oliver makes his way inside, taking a moment to assess his surroundings. 
Lyla and John are back to back, fighting off armed men in suits. Turning his head, Oliver clocks Diaz near the bar, dragging a man’s face across a countertop of broken glass. He also notices Carrie Cutter, China White, and Joe Wilson, all fighting off Dante’s men.
Identifying the ones he needs to worry about, Oliver joins the fight. He steers clear of Diaz, but watches John and Lyla’s backs, as well as Cutter, Joe, and China.
Dig’s team might be lacking in numbers in the fight, but they have the skill. And it doesn’t take long for Dante’s men to begin retreating. “Is he here?” Oliver asks John, looking around the crowd.
“I saw a group of them run out the back door as soon as the shooting started. He’s probably long gone by now.”
Without a word, Oliver rushes back to the door he’d come through, knowing immediately that if Dante had planned his escape route behind the building, then Felicity probably noticed something. Which would be fine...if his wife didn’t have a history of stumbling into trouble. “I left Felicity in the car back here,” he mumbles, pushing through the crowd.
Oliver bursts through the door, his eyes landing on the car. And Felicity is still inside it. Thank god. 
As soon as his wife sees him and the others, she unbuckles her seat belt and opens the door.
He reaches the car before she can get out, kneeling in front of the open door. “Dante came out this way,” he explains. “Did you see anything?”
Felicity nods, her eyes wide. “A car pulled up right next to me,” she huffs, “I think it was him that they picked up. Oliver, I think I know what Dante looks like.”
“And you managed to stay in the car,” he raises an eyebrow at her; impressed and pleased, but also surprised. 
Felicity just nods, her shoulders slumping. 
“Hey,” Oliver puts his hands on her knees, his eyebrows furrowing. She’s pale, looking a little too shell-shocked for his liking. “Are you okay?”
“Yes,” Felicity breathes, shaking her head. “That was just...” Her hand slips from his, moving up to her stomach. Just as quickly, it drops, and her eyes fly back to him. “You’re not hurt? You’re okay?”
Oliver stares up at her, nodding slowly. “Let’s get home.”
Blinking, Felicity purses her lips, “Yeah, I just,” her face drops, and she holds up a finger before she’s suddenly pushing his hands away, climbing over him to get out of the car.
“Felicity?” He jolts up, chasing after her while she runs towards the nearest bush she can find. And his heart hammers in his chest, concern rising in his throat while she vomits. Oliver quickly reaches for her, adjusting her hair out of her face just in time to avoid a mess.
When it’s over, she stands upright, pressing her hand against her mouth and closing her eyes. 
He knows, as surely and as confidently as he knows the woman he married, that something is wrong. It sets a knot in his chest, making him want to take Felicity’s lead and empty his own stomach’s contents in the bushes. Something is wrong.
As much as he wants to comfort Felicity, bring her home and take care of her, he also knows that she’s not telling him something important. Keeping something from him. “You need to tell me, Felicity.” He pleads, his voice barely above a whisper.
She releases a deep breath, knowing just what he means. “I’m pregnant, Oliver.”
His mind goes completely blank. And he stares. She stares back.
Before he can even think of a response, of anything, John and Lyla catch up to them. 
They dive right into planning; discussing Dante’s whereabouts and next moves, explaining the transfer processes of the squad. 
Felicity eventually looks away from him, listening and nodding as John and Lyla fill them in as if they were an intended piece of the mission tonight, rather than party crashers.
And Oliver tries to focus. Felicity seems to, so he does his best to listen.
But all he can think about is what she said. 
Felicity is pregnant. With a baby. A baby that is also his baby. They’re having a baby together.
Once the initial shock wears off, approximately five minutes after his wife had dropped the bomb on him, he’s feeling antsy. But he realizes quickly that it’s not a nervous kind of antsy.
It’s an excited one.
Clearing his throat, Oliver places a hand on Felicity’s back, interrupting Dig. “We need to get home,” he blurts.
John glances between them, “yeah...okay. Thanks for your help tonight, Oliver.”
“We’ll call you when we know more,” Lyla offers.
“And Felicity...” John looks down at her, pausing for a moment. Then he gently pulls her into his arms. “I’m sorry. I would never do anything to hurt you or your family. I love you, you know that, right?”
As she pulls back, Felicity blinks away moisture in her eyes. Tears that appear to surprise her as much as they surprise Dig.
Guiding her back towards the car, Oliver waves to John and Lyla, who each stare at Felicity with varying levels of confusion and concern. “Sorry,” she babbles, “hormones are all over the place—I don’t know why! I mean. What?”
“Honey,” Oliver mumbles, “home, now, please.”
“Right, bye!” She waves as he pulls her to the car. 
Felicity glances up at him as they walk away. “Oliver, you’re pale...maybe I should drive.”
He shakes his head, helping her into the passenger seat. “I’m fine.”
Once he’s behind the wheel, he catches his breath, his hands on the wheel and his eyes on his wife. His pregnant wife. “Home,” he whispers, glancing away and starting the car.
“Please say something,” Felicity finally speaks after long minutes of silence, her voice small.
Oliver glances down at her, surprised to see how anxious she looks. “When did you find out?”
“Dr. Schwartz told me last week. After she tested our blood,” she explains. “I just didn’t want to mention it so soon after William...”
“And you’re sure? I mean, there’s just—there’s no way that this could be wrong?” Oliver whispers. 
He’s so ready and willing to let go of his last bit of doubt. The last dark spot in his mind wanting to hold him back from accepting the happiness that wants to overtake him. Felicity bites her lip, and nods.
Taking in a deep breath, Oliver releases it slowly. 
As he drives towards the apartment, he can feel Felicity’s eyes on the side of his face. Gently, she rests her hand on his leg, getting his attention again. “Tell me this is good news, Oliver,” she whispers. “I’m scared...but I really want it to be good news.”
“I’m scared, too,” he answers lowly, honestly, offering her a smile. “But we’re in it together. Baby, this is better than good. I didn’t think it was possible for you to make me happier than you already have, for me to love you more than I already do...I’m excited, Felicity.” An unexpected laugh bubbles in his throat. “There’s so much to process, but I’m excited.”
He shifts his eyes from the road, taking a moment to appreciate the gorgeous, perfect smile that crosses her face. “I’m excited, too.”
And there’s nothing else they need to say in that moment. Nothing that they both don’t already understand. Nothing that can’t wait until they’re home. When he can look into her eyes, touch her, hold her.
Celebrate with her.

My 12 speculations for upcoming episodes of LiS2
         It's been about two months after releasing of the first episode. besides likes and reblogs, i tried to make my own posts about theories, speculations or fan arts of Life is Strange 2 but i needed more time to analyze and find inspiration until i decided to make this post and wait to see which speculations would be true or just ideas.
This list consists of my speculations and others' i found on websites. I don't know if here are somebody who still don't play or watch the prequel and the first episode. so you should skip this post if you don't want to see any spoilers.
#1. Mrs. Reynolds is actually the grandmother of Sean and Daniel.

In Arcadia Bay Scene of LiS2, Brody asks Sean about his family and he says he only have grandparents who live in USA. in The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, if Chris can convince Mrs. Reynolds to leave, she'll talk about her grandchildren that she's never seen for a long time and they're at her house. these hints make me feel so sure that Dontnod try to tell us Granny Claire and the brothers are absolutely relatives. 
#2. We may see Lyla Park and Brody Holloway again.

Although I have no idea how she can find the brothers and why he should meet them again. maybe they will bump into each other with new issues after Sean and Daniel leave Claire's house. we may see the development of the relationship between Sean and Lyla or get a surprise from Brody, however they don't deserve to have small roles in this season.

         During escaping with the car, Sean ask Brody about his occupation and he says he come from a wealthy family but no soul and he took off to travel after graduating high school and never go back to his home. now he does many jobs such as writes stories for magazines and websites, doing podcasts, and protest etc. 
         Since everything in LiS series are in the same universe, it would be awesome if we saw more connections between characters from both seasons. some say he's from Utah because his car displays Utah license plates but he never directly tell he's from Utah and he may be got the car when he visited there, however we still don't know his background well enough to tell who he is.
#4. Daniel does creepy breathing sound when Chris calls Mrs. Reynolds lately.

         In The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, when you do the awesome things or whatever until Charles falls asleep and call Mrs. Reynolds. you'll hear someone do creepy breathing sound during a call and in the post-credits scene of episode 1, you can see the forest covered with snow and hear Sean try to teach Daniel to control his power then he can float a stone in the air. this means the brothers may be somewhere in Beaver Creek in December and Daniel would have practiced for a month.
         I guess Daniel would control his power better and imagine himself as Darth Vader. he may monkey around in the house when Claire's not home until Chris call on the phone.
#5. If Dontnod need to show us the depth of friendship between two kids, they should let us play as Daniel.

         This speculation sounds like a wish and seems impossible but after the first episode, Daniel knows he has the powers and he can deal with it, i think it would be great if we had a chance to control his telekinesis via playing as him. besides, i don't know how big is Chris' part but if the friendship between Daniel and Chris is important to the main story, it should be told through the perspective of these kids instead of the third person because it's easier to see the depth in their relationship.
A teenager like Sean might not fit to do kids activities or follow them all day.
#6. The secret map may guide Chris and the brothers to the next awesome adventures.

         In Chris' room, you can find a hand-drawn map on the wall between the desk and the bed, it's called "secret map" and we use it with secret decoder to solve the puzzle and find the way in junk pile to get his treasure. (in fact, there's a short one way hole. ^ ^") besides, the details on the map based on Eriksen household's neighborhood but the locations were changed to his imaginary things and i'm curious what inspire them.
         So if an upcoming episode had the adventures of Chris and the brothers, i think every imaginary places and monsters in the secret map would be the destinations and let us know more about Chris' imaginary world and his background.
#7. Was Emily Eriksen killed by an influential person?

         Emily was killed in hit and run on December 16, 2014 in Beaver Creek. Charles had asked the officers about finding the culprit for two years but they said they couldn't find more evidence because the street surveillance data isn't available for the scene.
         It's possible the Emily case may be difficult for investigation like they said or the officers try not to investigate this case because they don't want to deal with influential people who would be revealed in upcoming episodes.
#8. Sean may plan to leave Daniel at Mrs. Reynolds's house and escape to Puerto Lobos alone.

         Besides mentioning her grandchildren, Claire also tells one of them is Chris' age and she bet him and Chris would get along like brothers. I think her words sounds really suspicious. why she compares Chris to Daniel's new brother instead of a best friend and Daniel still has Sean as his older brother. 
         I think Sean knows Daniel would never has a chance to be a suspect like him (if he never revealed his powers to everybody) and it seems to be hard to take a long trip with kid and a dog. so Sean may consult Claire without Daniel before she comes to see Chris but his plan wouldn't succeed for some reason.
#9. Derek, a proud member of a Church may has an important role.

         When Chris does something in the house for a while, Derek will call and say he is a proud member of the Universal Uprising Church and his church wants Chris and his loved ones to share the holy spirit. I guess Derek and his church may have interesting background and important roles in upcoming episodes. they may know something about super powers and have an ability to help Daniel or have mysterious backstory and be involved in murders.
#10. Chris may escape from the Eriksen Household to his grandparents's home.

         Near Charles' Laptop, you can find the letter to Charles from Peter Wyatt, the father of Emily reads Peter and his wife Kristen care so much about Charles and Chris. he heard Charles was in bar fight and he ask for permission to take care of Chris and want Charles to consider joining a support group.
         Although Chris doesn't want to leave Charles but in an upcoming episode, the domestic violence of Eriksen household may escalate and Chris would escape to Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt's home or Daniel may accidentally hurt Charles for protecting Chris. so the brothers and the only child would have to run away together.
#11. Sean and Daniel may not reach Mexico.

         Besides the journey of a thousand miles, they may have to face other racists, bump into officers or be chased by the antagonists who haven't revealed yet, however the brothers may find out the reason how and why Daniel got the powers and resolve all the conflicts before arrival to Puerto Lobos.
#12. It's possible that Sean or Daniel would pass away at the end of season.

          I know it sounds terrible but if the second season still had a life/death ending like the first season and brotherly bonding is the main theme, their death could surely make us depressed for a month. this idea is inspired by Daniel lines that he talks with Sean about two raccoons they saw. he guesses the dead one may be the brother of the other one and Sean stops him from thinking of it, however this may be a hint from Dontnod or just random lines. 
         In my opinion, if Sean was the person who passed away by try to protect Daniel or whatever and left his sketchbook with all good memories of their journey to him, it would be a sad and beautiful ending. (I'm so sorry Lyla. T T)
         I'm a little bit disappointed that the second episode will release on January, 2019. i thought they would release in December but there's no any teaser trailer released in November and i was afraid that episode 2 will be released in Jan like somebody said and now it's true.
 but it's better than waiting without knowing for how long, right?

hi lovelies! i’m ali and this is my precious, all time favorite baby savannah. think lyla garrity but with a bit more edge. find out a little more about her right down there! im open to any and all connections and have some listed here.
Savannah was put into foster care the day after she was born when her birth mother abandoned her at the hospital. Her being adopted is basically common knowledge but it isn’t something that she talks about too often.
She was adopted around the age of four by her current parents Greg and Aiden Cassidy. Both men were born and raised in Dillon. Greg is a broadcaster for the local sports radio station and Aiden is a pediatrician.
Savvy has been cheering since the day she was old enough. As soon as her parents signed her up, there was no looking back from there. She had a natural talent that has only progressed as she got older. People continue to be blown away by the skill the girl possessed. Just because a lot of it may have come somewhat naturally doesn’t mean that she doesn’t work hard at it every day. She takes her roll of cheer captain seriously. It’s not unusual to find her tumbling around just about anywhere. She’s a bit of a workout fiend as well because she wants to be in the best shape possible.
Don’t think that just because she’s got the flawless bouncy ponytail topped with a perfect bow and a smile that she’s fragile. She’s also been boxing for years and has no problem kicking ass if it comes down to it.
Savannah is a perfectionist. It’s not unusual to find her in the gym until the late hours of the night. This pertains to her grades as well. Thankfully she retains material easily due to her photographic memory. Her parents expect a lot out of her, and she aims to please. Sometimes too much. To call her a people pleaser would be extremely accurate, putting other people first is the norm for her.  She just honestly wants the best for everyone. It also means that yes, she wants everyone to like her. Her outgoing personality and natural charm usually makes that pretty easy but let’s be honest, you can’t please everyone all the time, right?
Because she is extremely disciplined, when she lets go, she really lets go. She likes taking the time to escape and just be a normal teenager without putting so much pressure on herself. The expression good girls are bad girls that haven’t been caught can almost define her.
One of her favorite things to do lay out on the roof of one of the old buildings in town looking up at the stars. She also likes to escape to the local park. There’s just something calming about the swings.

okay so!!! my baby lyla is kind of a sad story but man is she a fighteR
she was born elizabeth hopkins in a small town in georgia. lil lizzie always tried her best to be a happy go lucky kid but she the hand she was dealt wasn’t all that great. she grew up on the shitty side of a trailer park with a mother that didn’t want her and quite frankly it was a miracle she was even born, let alone as perfectly healthy as she was
tw: alcoholism & drug addiction & miscarriage & abortion !! her mother was a drug addict & an alcoholic. her daughter definitely wasn’t her first (or her last) pregnancy, but she was the only one that didn’t end in fetal death or termination.
her father was her mother’s drug dealer and was entirely absent, more of a sperm donor than anything else. she likely has a ton of other siblings running around that she doesn’t know about tbh.
anyway. she learned pretty quickly as a kid how to take care of herself and how harsh the world was. she got herself up and got to school on her own, cooked her own meals, washed her own clothes, did everything on her own while her mother went on week long benders and disappeared for days at a time.
tw: abuse & sexual assault & violence !! her mom was also quite abusive and this only got worse as she grew older. it wasn’t rare for any of her mother’s various and seemingly random boyfriends to look her way and obviously she hated it. she didn’t like them flirting with her and saying suggestive things to her. she just wanted to be left alone and kept out of her mother’s life. but skeevy boyfriends and jealous mother’s don’t mix and lizzie’s mom would accuse her of flirting back or trying to steal her man or whatever it was that particular day and she’d go to bed that night with a black eye or a busted lip. she was sixteen when her mother’s current boyfriend took something that didn’t belong to him. it was the first and the last time she let a man lay their hands on her without her consent. the next time he tried, she stabbed him through the hand, went on the run, and never looked back.
she left everything behind except the clothes on her back and what little money she had saved up, went to her best friend’s place, and the two took off in his pickup truck without a word to anyone. she never told him (or anyone else) for that matter what happened, but the two had been planning their escape for years, waiting for the right moment to take the leap.
they both changed their names, leaving their old identities and their pasts behind them. elizabeth hopkins didn’t exist anymore. she was lyla bennett and her companion, elliott o’connell. they traveled until they ran out of gas, taking whatever shitty jobs they could find in whatever city they ended up, staying in motels or sleeping in the truck when they needed cash. they both did things they weren’t proud of and relied on the kindness of strangers to get them by. their nomadic lifestyle was not glamorous. they would go for days without eating, a week without a shower, doing anything they could just to scrape by. 
tw: cocaine use & heroin use & overdose & death !! it wasn’t long before they found themselves in bad company. wolves dressed as sheep bet a club heard their story offered them a place to stay as long as they liked. the offer was eventually accepted and after months on the move they finally had a real bed to sleep in and real food to eat. but soon enough sleeping turned into parties that lasted all night and breakfast turned into a couple of snorted lines or a shot of heroin. a few months later lyla awoke after a party to find her best friend and life companion cold and lifeless next to her, a little too much of a deadly cocktail doing him in
before she even had time to let it sink it, she was out the door with all of the money she could gather, never to be seen or heard from again.
she eventually found herself greystone, a little over a year after she kissed the trailer park goodbye. she stayed in a motel until she could get herself on her feet, picking up odd jobs here and there until she got a job working as a dancer at masquerade at the age of 17 (although every piece of i.d. she owned said otherwise) with the stage name honey.
tw: sex work !! now at 19 years old, she finally has a real place to herself. and her roommate, but at least it’s a place she can finally call home. she’s a sex worker on the side as well, just to bring in extra cash to help her make rent and have food on the table.

she is v soft-spoken and honestly a lil mysterious ?? like....she’s a quiet girl n rarely speaks unless spoken to basically. and even then she doesn’t talk much
her label is the amaranth which basically means she is someone who isn’t very easily forgotten. she’s got this v magnetic way about her and she can be quite charming when she wants to be
she is soft, don’t get me wrong. she’s sensitive and sometimes she just needs to cry but don’t mistake her kindness and her generosity for weakness. she’s been used and taken advantage of too many times. she’s been thru too much to left people walk all over her now. she’s capable of pretty terrible things if that’s what she has to do to survive. don’t think she won’t snap just because she’s soft. 
she’s quite dreamy. always in her head & never really seems to be paying attention. she’s always somewhere else in her mind where things r quiet and everything is peaceful and perfect.
clumsy af but also graceful ?? she was so luckily given free ballet lessons as a child which she used as an excuse to get away from home so when she’s dancing she’s a graceful bih and she’s rly always wanted to be a ballet dancer but just in real life ?? catch her trippin over herself and scraping her knees on the daily. always has random bruises she cant remember getting
very girly. wears a lot of pink all the time & loves anything sparkly or glittery or fluffy or anything girly and cute basically. 
tw: cocaine addiction !! she also has many addictions. cigarettes & nicotine being one, candy & sweets being another, and cocaine being the last. also disney movies tbh
she never rly got the chance to be a kid so she;s like....kind of catching up on that now while she feels free & safe
