BROPPY EGG AS A PLOT POINT????? <- for your thing with the eye villain
"I don't know you as much as I'd like," Branch starts, and Poppy has to fight down the ache in her chest at that. Whoever did this to him, whoever washed out Branch's color and took away his memory—Poppy doesn't even know what she'll do with them. Her paws itch with the urge to scrapbook through her frustration, but the urgency in Branch's movements holds the urge at bay.
Branch comes to a stop, and turns around to face her fully. Dull gray eyes meet Poppy's own. They're beneath a bulbous, crystalline overhang, water flowing up from somewhere below concealing them from any onlookers. It'd be pretty scenic if Branch wasn't as gray as the stone beneath their paws.
"You can sing." Branch says. "I've heard..." He shakes his head, and reaches up to his hair. "Tell anyone about this and you're dead." He parts his hair.
Poppy gasps.
Branch holds the egg carefully, gray paws matching a mostly gray shell with scattered patches of patterned pink and blue. If Poppy was more familiar with egg development, she might be able to identify how long ago it was formed—but she's only ever taught classes of children, not eggs.
But yet... Poppy can't imagine this washed-out Branch trusting anyone enough for an egg. Which means...
Poppy sits down hard.

i understand getting really deeply and personally attached to fictional characters (i do it all the time) but i think too many people fall into the trap of interpreting criticism (or honestly just differing opinions that aren’t even necessarily negative) of characters they love as personal attacks.
not every character or every piece of media is for everyone. some people are not going to like your Favorite Thing. and that is OK. it’s ok if you’re a little hurt by people saying they didn’t like your favorite character.
but what isn’t ok is taking that hurt out on the person who you disagree with. you don’t get to tell someone they’re a bad person for not liking your favorite show or for having a different favorite character.
don’t make me tap the sign.
yes, some people are just assholes and will call others dumb for liking a certain character. but if someone isn’t saying that? if they’re just sharing an opinion on the public opinion sharing website? maybe don’t go into their replies and tell them why they’re wrong for not having the same opinion as you. maybe you don’t need to tell them why they’re a terrible human being. maybe don’t put words in their mouth and interpret everything they say in poor faith.
maybe, just maybe, you can keep scrolling. if what the other person is saying is Just An Opinion and not spreading hate, maybe you don’t need to tell them every reason why they’re wrong.
sometimes people have different opinions than you. and most of the time, neither of you are right or wrong. most things we all have opinions on are not dichotomous, so we’re all bound to have varied thoughts on whatever the Thing at hand is. that’s just how it goes.
ALSO and this bit is specifically for the good omens fans in the audience: for the love of all that is holy do not go into Neil’s asks trying to get him to justify why your specific opinion or interpretation is “correct” and other people’s are “wrong.” i mean no one should be doing it with any creator but some of y’all are way too comfortable in Neil’s ask box.
YOU ARE TALKING TO REAL HUMAN PEOPLE.

still thinking about that last post hooooly shit ... I think the part that hurts the most about is is Murdoc is such a fucking weasel. like, he's told Ace he's a great actor and a good friend then turns around and shits all over him and can't even be happy for his success. THEN HE FUCKING, FRAMES HIM, Ace is none-the-wiser or whatever, still fucking trusts him with his life and wants to stay in contact....... like it's just sad, seeing Ace put everything into somebody that screwed him over so badly. he really has no idea and it sucks ESPECIALLY because he's had such trouble making friends all his life, he grew up with everyone but 4 people hating his fucking guts and the one person he put his trust in betrayed the fuck out of him... then Murdoc... hooooly shit

i do think its immensely funny that like. yukina's whole entire life was about doing everything she could for her brother and her brother only like. the entire reason she bothered trying to save the world was because it was the place mitsuo lived. she only cared abt helping the gods because if they lost their powers the power that sustained his immortality was also gone. and the moment she was finally starting to move past that, when they'd made peace with each other.... she was then executed while he condemned her
and after that she just couldn't care less. nothing mattered. she'd burn down the whole fucking world who gave a shit right. if even her brother thought she was irredeemable, then she was!
