─「美沙夜」─  there weren’t many things that would give the CHERUBIM a peace of mind, however, stargazing seemed to be one of those rare things she had a specific penchant for. upon the hill just outside of the city, the magus laid herself upon the soft grass, staring up at the velvet sky decorated by the lights of countless stars. the moon was full and bright, too, as her crimson hues turned towards her servant.

                “ come here, lie down with me. ” she patted the empty spot next to her. “ or you can lay your head on my body, if you want. ”

─「美沙夜」─  the SURGE of magical power pouring out from the magic circle beneath her was to be expected. MARK OF CHERUBIM over the back of her neck made a brilliant glow as though signifying her status as the second master in this war, along with the heroic spirit she had managed to call forth.

                what she couldn’t foresee, however, was the IDENTITY of the servant she had summoned. the sight of familiar silver armor and fluttering azure cape made those sanguine optics widen. she’d recognize this set of garment anywhere, no matter if it had been EIGHT YEARS since the last time she had seen it. however, servants wouldn’t retain their memory of the past wars. so he wouldn’t remember ...

                fate sure had a way to mess with her, didn’t it ?

                “ reiroukan misaya, the cherubim. ” her voice was clear, as did the GLOWING SYMBOL of six wings appearing behind her form. “ i will be your master for this war. ”

─「美沙夜」─  “ what did you fight for ? ” while it wasn’t unexpected for the MASTER to ask their servant what was it that drive them forward in their battle, it probably came as a bit of a surprise to see the cherubim taking interest on this topic. it was, in a way, her own method of getting to know the very SERVANT she had summoned. his name in and out of itself didn’t ring much of a bell in terms of recognition and legends, but if he became a HEROIC SPIRIT then it meant he had completed a deed to have himself be called a hero.

                “ i meant when you were alive, what was it that you fought for ? ” she’d ask what his motivation to fight now was, but maybe later. for now, she should get herself familiarized on the way he was thinking, and what shaped him as a whole.

─「美沙夜」─  ‘ do you sense any trace of enemy servant nearby, saber ? ’ the CHERUBIM communicated over their linked minds, her form stood atop the abandoned building not too far from the SUBWAY she had sent her servant to investigate. there was a sudden surge of mana around this area a few hours earlier, so she took it upon herself to come and check the parameter in person. ‘ don’t draw any attention to yourself, however. we’ll be at disadvantage if we engage in a battle in public. ’

─「美沙夜」─  the sunlight streaming through the fluttering curtain reflected upon the CHESSBOARD sat atop a wooden desk. glass pieces were scattered about upon the BOARD itself, a total of seven pieces counting the ones being discarded aside. on the glassy surface itself stood FIVE individual designed. slender digits moved swiftly to grab the one resembling a bow-user before CARELESSLY tossing it aside in a cluttering sound echoed in the quiet room. crimson optics then spared one last glance at the board, now with four pieces left before spinning on her heels and headed for the door.

                BLACK WOLVES sleeping within the living room sprung to action the moment her presence was made known, hand placed itself atop one’s head, weaving through the dark fur before a jacket was put upon her form. the CHERUBIM lifted her head, staring out the window as her heels clicked against the floor. three wolves loyally followed behind her, surrounding the second master protectively as the silence was broken by her own words, speaking to an unseen figure within the room itself.

                “ i’m going to take them for a walk, and you’re coming with me. ”

─「美沙夜」─  the SECOND MASTER stood within the moonlit room, darkness had once again cloaked the city of tokyo along with the reiroukan manor she was residing in. it seemed that all servants had already been summoned, and the SECOND TOKYO HOLY GRAIL WAR had officially begun, as well as the ticking of a clock counting down her own demise.

              if you don’t get the grail, you’ll die — misaya.

                “ death is something i have come to terms with for quite some time now. ” the cherubim mused quietly, knowing that her servant had already glimpsed into her PAST and heard those words from her father’s lips when he was dying. a death from the BETRAYAL OF HIS OWN SERVANT. the curse that was placed at the back of her neck was spreading, how ironic that the mark of cherubim also appeared there. fingers traced themselves over the command seals. crimson hues then slowly shifted from the view outside the window to the figure lurking in the SHADOW behind her.

                “ do you have a wish for the grail, avenger ? ”

─「美沙夜」─  ‘ that’s far enough, berserker. ’ her voice was heard through their linked mind, as the NIGHT BREEZE caressed her form and the second master was seen atop the quiet hill in the forest just outside TOKYO. the moonlight shining down upon the lone figure as her fingers tread themselves through none of her WOLF FAMILIARS. she had sent a few of her wolves along with her servant to scout the area, and with a small investigation, she could sense the magic barrier not too far from here. having him being too far from her would prove a disadvantage if they were attacked given how close they were to enemy’s territory.

                ‘ you can come back now. don’t interact with any magical objects you might find on your way back. there are most likely a few traps laid out. ’
