4x07: In their motel room, Dean stands next to Sam and says to Castiel, “So this is about your buddy Lucifer.” Uriel is facing out the window, across the room, and he responds, “Lucifer is no friend of ours.” Dean eyes him warily, and clarifies, “It’s just an expression.” Castiel walks back across the room, standing between Uriel and the Winchesters, and he says, “Lucifer cannot rise. The breaking of the seal must be prevented at all costs.” He glances between Sam and Dean as he says, “You, um. Both of you– You need to leave this town immediately.”

5x14: Sam moves from behind Castiel to between him and Dean, saying, “Dean, enough!” Also frustrated, Dean asks, “What?” Sam responds, “You just punched a cupid!” Dean says, “I punched a dick!” Sam glances back at Castiel, exasperated, and says, “Um?”

6x07: Dean has Sam tied to a chair after beating him, and asks angrily, “And it never occurred to you that there might be something off about that?” Castiel also watches Sam, and walks between them as Sam answers, “Of course it did, Dean, I– I just never told you.”

7x23: Castiel stands in his hospital scrubs and trenchcoat, saying, “Can we please just leave it at that?” He avoids eye contact, but Dean watches him and says, “No. No, we can’t. We can’t ‘leave it.’” Sam moves between them slightly, trying to interrupt, “Dean...” But Dean ignores him, continuing, “Nobody cares that you’re broken, Cas! Clean up your mess!”

8x10: Dean glares at Sam and Castiel, saying to Castiel, “I told you we didn’t need him.” Sam rolls his eyes and turns away, as Castiel straightens up, annoyed. Castiel says, “We need everything, Dean.” Then he addresses both of them, continuing, “And I need both of you, as you say... To stow your crap. Can you do that?”

9x10: Castiel stands in front of Sam on a bridge, Dean is on the other side behind him. Castiel tells Sam, “It’ll take time to fully heal you. We’ll have to do it in stages.” Sam nods a little, not making eye contact with either of them as Castiel speaks, then Dean approaches. He tells Sam, “Alright, let me hear it.” Castiel glances between them, concerned, but then turns to walk a bit away.

9x22: At Castiel’s angel headquarters, Dean yells at Castiel, “You did nothing but lie to me and Sam about it, the whole damn time!” Castiel looks at him, frustrated, and Sam interjects, “Can we, uh– Can we take this somewhere else, guys?” The three of them walk into Castiel’s office, and Sam says, annoyed, “Will you stow the baggage, Dean?”

13x23: Michael from apocalypse world walks confidently out of the gas station, saying, “Hey, fellas. Miss me?” Sam and Castiel get up, standing against the Impala.” Castiel slides his angel blade from his sleeve as if he will advance to fight Michael off, but Sam quickly grabs his arm to hold him back saying, “No, no, no, no, Cas! Don’t!” Michael calmly says, “No, Cas, do. Please.”

14x18: Castiel tells Dean, “I failed you. And I failed Jack.” He pauses and continues, upset, “and I failed–” Dean turns to him furious, interrupting, “No, no. Don’t even say it. Don’t even say her name!” Sam moves between them, putting out a hand, quietly saying, “Dean...”

i think perhaps one of the most evil things supernatural ever did was establish involuntary teleportation as a literal flight response for jack when they’re extremely distressed and then show his location flitting around the fucking globe on sam’s gps after he accidentally blew mary to kingdom come
