How to Keep Your Duvet Fluffy and Warm All Winter Long
Tumblr media
Winter is the time to snuggle up under a warm and fluffy duvet, enjoying cozy nights of restful sleep. However, over time, duvets can lose their loft and become less effective at providing insulation. To ensure that your duvet stays fluffy and warm throughout the winter season, we've gathered some top tips for maintaining its cozy qualities. Read on to discover how to keep your duvet in top shape all winter long.
Shake and Fluff Daily
Start your day by giving your 15 tog duvet  a good shake and fluff. This simple act helps redistribute the filling and restores its loft. Holding opposite corners of the duvet, give it a vigorous shake to loosen up the fibers. Then, gently fluff it up by patting and shaking it from the sides. This routine will prevent the filling from becoming flat and compressed, ensuring maximum warmth and coziness.
Air Out Your Duvet
Regularly airing out your cot bed duvet helps maintain freshness and keeps it fluffy. On a sunny day, take your duvet outside and hang it on a clothesline or lay it flat on a clean surface in a well-ventilated area. Allow it to bask in the sunlight and fresh air for a few hours. This process helps remove any trapped moisture, eliminates odors, and revitalizes the filling, resulting in a refreshed and lofty duvet.
Use a Duvet Cover
Invest in a high-quality duvet covers and use it consistently. A duvet cover not only protects your duvet from stains and dirt but also helps retain its fluffiness. Opt for a cover made of natural, breathable materials like cotton, as they promote airflow and prevent excess moisture buildup. Regularly wash the duvet cover to maintain cleanliness and prevent the accumulation of allergens.
Avoid Heavy Objects on Top
Avoid placing heavy objects, such as books or other items, on top of your duvet with firm pillow. The weight can compress the filling, causing it to flatten and lose its loft. Instead, lightly fold or roll your duvet when not in use. By protecting it from unnecessary weight and pressure, you'll ensure that it maintains its fluffy and warm qualities.
Follow Washing Instructions
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for washing your duvet. Most 3 tog duvet can be machine washed, but it's important to use a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach, as they can damage the filling. Be sure to thoroughly dry your duvet before using it, as dampness can lead to clumping and a loss of fluffiness.
Add Tennis Balls or Dryer Balls
When drying your duvet, add a few clean tennis balls or dryer balls to the dryer. As the duvet tumbles, these balls help fluff up the filling and prevent it from clumping together. The bouncing motion created by the balls restores the duvet's loft, resulting in a fluffy and cozy finish.
Avoid Overfilling the Bed
Avoid overfilling your bed with too many additional blankets or pillows. The weight and pressure can compress the duvet and diminish its fluffiness. Keep the layers on your bed to a comfortable minimum, allowing your duvet to maintain its fullness and insulation.
Rotate and Reverse
To ensure even wear and distribution of the filling, rotate and reverse your duvet periodically. This simple step prevents specific areas from becoming flattened or worn out faster than others. Switching the orientation of your babys cot duvet also helps maintain its shape and loft over time.
Professional Cleaning
For duvets with delicate fillings or those that require professional care, consider taking them to a reputable dry cleaner or laundry service. Professional cleaning can help maintain the quality and longevity of your winter tog duvet, ensuring it remains fluffy and warm for many winters to come.
Conclusion
By following these tips, you can keep your duvet fluffy and warm all winter long. With regular care and attention, your duvet will provide the cozy comfort you crave during those chilly nights. Embrace the warmth, snuggle up, and enjoy the winter season with your perfectly fluffed duvet! Just Visit and get the perfect bedding products at www.wowbedding.co.uk.

Reasons Why a Cotton Duvet is Best for Warm Nights
Tumblr media
Do you struggle to get a good night's sleep during hot summer nights? Are you tired of constantly waking up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat? Well, we have some good news for you! The solution to your problem is as simple as switching to cotton bedding. Not only is it comfortable and easy to care for, but it also provides numerous benefits that make it ideal for hot sleepers. In this article, we will explore why cotton bedding should be your go-to choice if you want to stay cool and comfortable all night long. So grab a cup of tea and keep reading!
What is cotton bedding duvet?
Cotton bedding is made from the natural fibers of the cotton plant and is a popular choice for many people due to its softness, breathability, and durability. The fabric is known for its ability to wick away moisture from your body, keeping you cool and dry throughout the night. One of the reasons why cotton bedding with duvet covers is so comfortable is because it has an open weave that allows air to circulate freely. This means that even on hot summer nights, you won't feel trapped under heavy layers of fabric. Additionally, cotton bedding comes in a variety of thread counts which can affect its overall texture and softness. Another benefit of using cotton bedding is that it's hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin. Unlike synthetic materials or other types of bedding like wool or down feathers, there are no harsh chemicals used in production which can cause irritation or allergic reactions. In addition to being comfortable and gentle on skin, cotton bedding also provides excellent value for money as it lasts longer than other fabrics such as microfiber or polyester. With proper care and maintenance, your cotton sheets will stand up well against years of use without losing their shape or color. If you're looking for a breathable yet durable option when shopping around for new bed linen - look no further than 100% pure Cotton Bedding!
Why is cotton bedding duvet ideal for hot sleepers?
Cotton bedding is a popular choice for hot sleepers because of its natural breathability. Unlike synthetic materials, cotton allows air to circulate freely, helping to regulate body temperature and prevent overheating during the night. This makes cotton bedding ideal for those who tend to sweat or feel too warm while sleeping. Another reason why cotton bedding is great for hot sleepers cot bed duvet is that it absorbs moisture well. Cotton can absorb up to 27 times its own weight in water, which means it can help wick away sweat from your skin as you sleep. This not only helps keep you cool but also prevents bacteria and odors from building up on your sheets. Cotton bedding also has a soft and lightweight texture that adds comfort without adding bulk or weight. Its smooth surface doesn't trap heat like other materials such as wool or flannel would do, making it an excellent option all year round. Furthermore, cotton is easy to care for and maintain compared to other fabrics used in beddings such as silk or linen. It's machine washable at high temperatures without losing its quality, which ensures that allergens are kept at bay. Choosing cotton bedding will provide you with maximum comfort regardless of the season by allowing proper airflow between your body and sheets while keeping you dry throughout the night – perfect conditions for any hot sleeper!
Cotton bedding benefits for hot sleepers
Cotton bedding is an excellent choice for hot sleepers as it offers various benefits that can help you have a sound and comfortable night's sleep. First, cotton is highly breathable, which means it allows air to circulate freely through the fabric. This helps regulate your body temperature by keeping you cool when it’s warm and warm when it’s cold. Moreover, cotton bedding with babys cot duvet is lightweight, soft and gentle on the skin. It doesn't trap heat like synthetic fabrics or wool do, making them perfect for those who tend to overheat during the night. Plus, cotton beddings are hypoallergenic and free from irritating chemicals making them safe for sensitive skin types. Choosing high-quality cotton sheets also translates into durability since they can withstand frequent washes without losing their softness or shape. Cotton bedding comes in various thread counts that affect its quality; however, a higher thread count doesn’t necessarily mean better quality if the type of cotton used isn’t good enough. In summary, choosing cotton bedding has numerous advantages for hot sleepers such as breathability to keep your temperature regulated throughout the night while providing comfort through its soft texture and durable nature even after multiple washes.
Cotton bedding vs. other beddings
When it comes to choosing beddings, cotton is the way to go for hot sleepers. But how does cotton bedding with 15 tog duvet compare to other types of beddings? Let's take a closer look. Firstly, let's consider silk bedding. Silk is often associated with luxury and its soft texture can be tempting for some sleepers. However, silk is not as breathable as cotton and can trap heat under the covers which can make sleeping uncomfortable for hot sleepers. Next up is bamboo bedding. Bamboo fabric has gained popularity as an eco-friendly alternative to cotton. While it is also breathable, bamboo fabric tends to hold onto moisture which makes it less desirable for hot sleepers who may sweat throughout the night. We have synthetic materials such as polyester or microfiber. These fabrics are cheaper than natural fibers like cotton but come at a cost in terms of breathability and comfort during warmer months. In summary, while there are many options available when it comes to choosing beddings, cotton remains the best choice for hot sleepers due to its breathability and ability to wick away moisture from the body keeping you cool all night long.
Conclusion
In summary, cotton bedding is the ideal choice for hot sleepers due to its ability to regulate temperature and promote breathability. It provides a comfortable and cozy sleeping environment that encourages uninterrupted sleep throughout the night.
Moreover, unlike other materials such as polyester or silk, cotton bedding offers numerous benefits that cater to hot sleepers' specific needs. From its moisture-wicking capabilities to its durability and hypoallergenic properties, it's clear why cotton remains the most popular choice for bedding worldwide.
So if you're a hot sleeper looking for a quality night's rest without breaking your budget, try switching out your current bedding with 100% cotton options like duvet covers or sets. Your body will thank you for it in more ways than one! Visit www.wowbedding.co.uk for your desirable products.

double duvet
A double duvet typically refers to a bedding item designed for a double-sized bed. In the United Kingdom, a double bed is also known as a "full-size bed" in the United States. The dimensions of a double duvet can vary slightly based on regional standards and manufacturers, but generally, it is designed to fit a mattress that is approximately 54 inches (137 cm) wide and 75 inches (190 cm) long.
When purchasing a double duvet, you'll want to consider factors such as the material, fill type, and warmth level, as well as personal preferences for comfort and style. Common materials for duvet covers include cotton, linen, and various blends. The fill of the duvet itself can be down, synthetic, or a combination of both.
It's also essential to pay attention to the duvet's tog rating, which indicates its warmth level. Tog ratings typically range from 1 to 15, with higher numbers indicating a warmer duvet. The appropriate tog rating depends on factors such as the climate of your location and your personal preferences for warmth while sleeping.
When selecting a double duvet, you may also want to consider getting a duvet cover to protect and decorate the duvet. Duvet covers come in various styles, colors, and patterns, allowing you to personalize your bedding.
Before making a purchase, be sure to check the specific measurements of the duvet and compare them to the dimensions of your mattress to ensure a proper fit. Additionally, consider any care instructions provided by the manufacturer to maintain the longevity and quality of your double duvet.

This means that when you choose cotton bedding, you're making a choice that's better for the environment. Not only is it biodegradable, but growing babys cot duvet cotton also has less impact on the environment compared to other crops. Cotton plants require less water than some other crops like alfalfa or corn and can even help prevent soil erosion in certain areas. Organic farms prioritize biodiversity and work with nature rather than against it. How to choose the right cotton bedding for you
Choosing the right firm pillow for you can be overwhelming with so many options available in the market. Here are some tips to help you make an informed decision. Firstly, consider the thread count of your bedding. A higher thread count means a softer and more durable fabric, but it may also trap heat during warmer months. If you tend to get hot at night, go for a lower thread count option. Next, think about the weave of your cotton bedding. Percale is lightweight and breathable while sateen has a smoother feel but may retain more heat. Jersey knit is stretchy and soft while flannel provides warmth in colder climates. You should also consider the type of cotton used in your bedding as different types have unique properties. Egyptian cotton is known for its luxurious feel while Pima cotton is strong and durable. Don't forget about sustainability when choosing your cotton bedding. Look for organic or fair trade certified options that prioritize environmental and social responsibility throughout their production process. By considering these factors, you can choose comfortable and sustainable cotton bedding that meets all your needs without compromising on quality or style!
Conclusion
After considering the many benefits of cotton bedding, it's clear that choosing this material for your bed is a smart choice. Not only does cotton provide comfort and breathability for a good night's sleep, but it's also a sustainable option that can help reduce waste and promote environmental stewardship. When shopping for cotton bedding, be sure to look for high-quality options made from organic or fair trade materials. How to Care for Your Cotton Bedding Duvet: Tips for Keeping It Soft and Fresh
Tumblr media
Are you tired of your cotton bedding feeling rough and scratchy? Do you want to know how to keep it soft and fresh for longer? Look no further! In this blog post, we'll give you all the tips and tricks on how to care for your cotton bedding. From cleaning to storing, we've got everything covered so that you can get the most out of your duvet covers, cot bed duvets, 3 tog duvets, baby's cot duvets, 15 tog duvets and even complete duvet sets. So sit back, relax and learn how to make your bed a haven of comfort with our simple yet effective advice.
What is a cotton bedding?
Cotton bedding 15 tog duvet is a type of bed linen made from cotton fibers. It's commonly used because it's breathable, comfortable and durable. Cotton sheets come in different colors, patterns and thread counts which are indicators of their quality. Thread count refers to the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric. The higher the thread count, the denser and softer the sheets will be. Egyptian cotton is considered to be one of the most luxurious types due to its long fibers that produce strong and soft fabrics. Cotton bedding comes in various styles like duvet covers, fitted sheets, flat sheets or pillowcases that can all be mixed and matched for a personalized look. Cotton bedding also has hypoallergenic properties making it an ideal choice for people with allergies or sensitive skin. Cotton bedding offers both style and comfort while being easy to care for compared to other materials such as silk or polyester blends. With proper maintenance and cleaning techniques, your cotton bedding can last you years without losing its softness or color vibrancy!
How to Clean Cotton Bedding
Taking care of your cot bed duvet is important to keep it soft and fresh. One of the most crucial steps in maintaining its quality is cleaning it regularly. Here are some tips on how to clean your cotton bedding properly. First, always read the care label instructions before washing your beddings. Some cotton materials may require specific washing conditions or temperatures that you need to follow. Wash your cotton bedding separately from colored items to prevent color bleeding. Use a mild detergent, as strong chemicals tend to break down fibers and damage the fabric's structure. When washing duvet covers, unzip them entirely and remove any inserts beforehand. This way, you'll ensure that every part of the cover gets cleaned thoroughly without damaging zippers or buttons. Use cold water when washing cotton sheets because hot water can shrink or damage fibers over time. Additionally, avoid using bleach as it can weaken the material and cause yellowing over time. Dry your cotton bedding on low heat settings or hang them out to air-dry naturally under shade away from direct sunlight exposure. Doing so will protect their delicate fibers while keeping them fresh-smelling!
How to Store Cotton Bedding
Properly storing your cotton bedding is just as important as cleaning it. Here are some tips for keeping your cotton bedding in top condition when not in use. First, make sure that your babys cot duvet is completely dry before storing it away. Any moisture left on the fabric can lead to mildew or mold growth, which will ruin the material and cause unpleasant odors. Next, fold your cotton bedding neatly and place it inside a breathable storage bag or container. Avoid using plastic bags or containers as they trap moisture and promote bacterial growth. It's also a good idea to store your cotton bedding in a cool, dry place that's out of direct sunlight. Heat and humidity can damage the fibers of the material over time, causing them to break down more quickly than normal wear and tear would do. Try to avoid stacking heavy items on top of stored cotton bedding as this can cause wrinkles and creases that are difficult to remove later on. By following these simple steps you'll be able to keep your cotton bedding fresh, clean, and ready for use whenever you need it!
Tips for Making Cotton Bedding More Comfortable
One of the best things about duvet covers is how comfortable it can be. However, sometimes even the softest cotton sheets and duvet covers need a little extra help to make them feel truly luxurious. Here are some tips for making your cotton bedding more comfortable: 1. Use natural fiber fabrics: Cotton blends might be cheaper, but they don't have the same softness and breathability as pure cotton or linen fabrics. 2. Wash before using: New bedding can have sizing or other chemicals that make them stiff and uncomfortable. So always wash your new sheets before using them to soften their fibers. 3. Use fabric conditioner: Fabric conditioners can help keep your cotton bedding soft over time by reducing friction between fibers during washing and drying cycles. 4. Avoid high heat settings when washing or drying: High heat settings may damage the delicate fibers in your bedding, leading to roughness or pilling over time. 5. Rotate your bedding frequently: Even with proper care, all materials wear out eventually so rotate different sets of sheets regularly so you won't get too attached to just one set! By following these simple tips, you'll enjoy a better night's sleep on softer and comfier cotton beddings!

We got a new bed and it's bigger than our old bed, so we need a new duvet
At the moment we are using a British duvet, and since there's size differences between British and German ones, we've had to order bedsheets from the UK until now. That's a pain with brexit import tax, so I thought it'd be easier to just buy a German one
Ok, so maybe it's cuz I'm Welsh and it's fucking cold all the time or maybe it's because I'm autistic but I NEED a big heavy fluffy blankey, I think the one we have right now is 13.5-15 tog
I'm tearing my HAIR out trying to find anything German that's even half that thick and the ones that are a bit closer cost like 150 euros compared to my huge snuggly 30 quid one
What is wrong with you. Do you like being cold. I ordered something labelled 'all seasons' and it's about as thick as a paper towel. I'm not angry. I'm a little angry.
