things i’m no longer doing for the rest of 2023

using inappropriate language this goes beyond just cursing; it also includes making dark jokes, making “seggsual” innuendos, self-deprecating humor, and verbal negativity (gossip and saying negative things about self, others, or future plans).
allowing men to take up my time without them giving any type of investment in me my time is valuable, and it’s hard to gain complete access to me, let alone a little bit of access to me. phone calls will be cut short, texts won’t be too lengthy, and if they want to see me, they need to schedule and confirm a date with me.
accepting the bare minimum from not only others, but myself also everything i do from this moment forward needs to be 110% my best. i show up, i work my best, and i leave knowing that i did everything i could in that given time. i’m not leaving any room for regrets this year.
drinking alcohol because of my job in the nightlife industry, i find myself to drink a lot more than i should to help me get through the night. i usually feel gross the next day, it adds to any mental hardships i face, and it’s just not good for my body overall. the only times i will drink this year is if it’s my birthday, new year’s eve, or any other special occasion like a holiday or a special person’s birthday— if so, i’m limiting myself to one glass of high quality wine or champagne. tequila and any other spirit is an absolute “no” for me.
not keeping promises to myself if i say that i’m going to do something, i’m going to do it. i need to build trust with myself and that will allow me to also have more positive thoughts about myself and trust that whatever it is i want in life, i’ll have it because i’m used to keeping promises to myself.

hey loves! today we are doing rory gilmore as our it girl as it’s coming up to winter exams and since it’s autumn, why wouldn’t we do our it girl who we associate most with autumn! (at least I do)
୨୧ looks ୨୧ rory has a very effortless look, probably because who cares if you’re pretty if you fail your finals! rory would adore the skincare as makeup trend, so to achieve her look definitely invest in some good serums and moisturisers to ensure to keep your gorgeous complexion perfect! another great component to ensure that you get the rory gilmore look is some brown macara, a lip balm that smells like autumn (i love vanilla) and a little bit of rosy blush to give you that extra flushed look! and for hair keep it natural and neat, wear it neatly down or in a ponytail with a bow.
୨୧ outfits ୨୧ when rory is not in her chilton uniform, she wears simple yet cute outfits. a knitted sweater is of course a staple and a good quality pair of blue jeans that go with everything is a must have. rory opts for lighter and more neutral colours. to achieve her look have very basic fitted shirts and t-shirts, a little black skirt, light cardigans and shoes like converse or doc martens are needed. rory keeps it simple yet effective, she believes that your success speaks louder than what you wear!
୨୧ personality ୨୧ rory has a very soft personality, she’s determined and detail oriented, almost to the point of being a perfectionist! she has her mind set on her goals and won’t rest until she gets them. she’s quiet and doesn’t need friends to keep her satisfied, she would gladly spend her lunches in the library to ensure her studies are kept her top priority! with the friends she does have, she’s reliable and loyal and she will do her best to be kind and helpful to the people most important to her in her life.
୨୧ lifestyle ୨୧ rory enjoys her alone time but keeps a balance of spending time with others. she enjoys going to luke’s after school and going to friday dinners at emily and richard’s but she also enjoys just reading and doing her homework. you wouldn’t catch her without a book or a cup of coffee in her hand (just like lorelai). she isn’t easily distracted by what her peers are doing, and this is noticed and she gets admired for it! she’s family and community orientated and doesn’t mind helping out at the stars hollow fate and talking to ms patty, her favourite activity is spending time with her best friend, her mom lorelai. like rory it’s important to keep a balance in your life.

how to organize your level up journey 🤍

1. take out a piece of paper (or type but it’s better to write things down on paper), and write down each life area (or the ones that you want to change). these include (but not limited to): and make sure you leave a lot of room under each one, probably taking one piece of paper for every life area instead of just using one sheet of paper.
school
work/career
finances
romantic relationships
family
friendships
religion/spirituality
health/fitness
physical appearance
recreational/bucket list
lifestyle
2. leave space under whichever “life areas” you want to level up in and then write your goals. i suggest 1-3 goals under each, but no more than 5. you don’t want to overwhelm yourself even more. an example of this could look like:
1. physical appearance
- i want to grow longer hair
- i want to clear my skin
- i want to master the perfect makeup look
3. under each one of your goals, write 1-2 habits you could do everyday to work on that goal. you can write more habits if you want to, but again, the goal is to not overwhelm you anymore than you already feel. an example of this could look like:
1. physical appearance
- i want to grow longer hair
• sleep on satin pillow case
• heatless hairstyles daily
4. then start working on those habits, slowly adding a few more into your routine whenever you feel comfortable. don’t get discouraged if you slip a lot during the beginning; that’s completely normal. just keep working on being consistent and it’ll eventually become second nature. then you add more habits and eventually, habits turn into successes.

hey loves! Im back with the final episode of my glow up series! This post I’ll be talking about how to glow up physically, before this I just want to preface that everyone (including you) is beautiful in their own way and you don’t need to change anything about yourself to know that but a glow up can just help the beauty that’s already there shine through more! So here I will share four of my tips to get yourself a glow up!
୨୧ be hygienic ୨୧ i cannot stress enough how important hygiene is, you could be the prettiest girl alive and if you were unhygienic and dirty people wouldn’t want to be around you! so make sure to take care of yourself! here are some tips on how to: body wash: everyday, hair wash: every 1-3 days, always wear deodorant, brush teeth and hair 2x a day and always smell a body mist or perfume to smell as sweet as you are!
୨୧ slim down your face ୨୧ the desire for a slimmer faces and defined jawlines are extremely common, as they are seen as conventionally attractive features. although this isn’t essential having a more toned and lifted face can help with a change in your looks. for best results drink a lot of water, cut down on salt and eat more potassium. what really helps to achieve a slimmer face though, is facial yoga. these are exercises that I recommend as they are working quite well for me already!

୨୧ find a good skincare routine ୨୧ skincare is a key way to having and maintaining clear skin. building a skincare routine is a must, and no you don’t need a 10 step one. all you really need is a cleanser, a serum, a moisturiser and a sunscreen. to build a skincare routine you can’t just buy whatever products you see on social media you need to determine what kind of skin you have and buy products based off of that. here is a helpful chart to find out your skin type, creds: healthyswami on pinterest <3

୨୧ get your hair done ୨୧ i’m not telling you to go to some fancy salon to get your hair done, but simply getting a trim at home can lead to a simple glow up! look for inspo on Pinterest of girls with a similar face shape to you and get your hair like theirs, i feel face framing layers and cutting off dead ends will look great on anyone!

2023 vision board. Visualize your dream 2023 and write down your goals!
Daily Hot girl walks. No excuses, babes; let's get moving!
Reflecting on 2022. Look back at what you've accomplished and what you could have done differently.
Make a Bucketlist. Write down places you want to visit and things you want to do.
Extended self-care. Take some time to yourself to recover from the stressful holidays and get back on track. <3
Buy a good SPF. Do some research and find something that works for you!
Start Investing in yourself. Money, time, and energy. Put yourself first!
Annual check-ups. Make a dentist appointment, go to the optometrist etc...
Buy a Silk pillowcase. Protect your skin and hair!
Set clear boundaries. And make sure that people respect them!
Less screen time. Self-explanatory.

Your daily habits play a huge role in your mood/life. Be mindful, and take care of yourself.

2022 has been such a life-changing year for me, not only personally but also regarding my social media! studying like rory gilmore

introduction:
not gonna lie, im not the biggest fan of gilmore girls, and while i do admire rory's studying habits i rlly don't like her as a character. but anyways, ik that in this space she's kinda an icon, and her academic habits are inspirational, so here are some tips on how to study like her, and some academic mistakes that you should avoid :)
things to do:
creating a study routine. have a go-to place that's not distracting, put away anything that can distract you and get to work. it's good to have a routine that you're consistent to. like spending 15 minutes after school reviewing what you learned.
take organized notes. highlight key terms and make sure that your notes are neat and make sense.
study with flashcards. rory uses flashcards to study which is a great method. you can do this on paper or use digital flashcards :)
always have a book to read. rory always has a book to read, and it's always good to have something prouctive to do after you finish your work early in class. i have a block schedule so classes take forever, and when i have nothing to do i like to read.
join extracurriculars. although i think it took rory a whole season to do this (not sure) make sure you join clubs! joining clubs and having leadership roles within them looks really good to colleges when you're applying and also just helps you make new friends.
if your stuck studying on one subject then go to another. rory talks about doing this in an episode and although it doesn't sound productive it is! if you're really stuck and frustrated while studying for one class, then go and do work for another on and then come back to what's making you frustrated.
things to avoid:
not being able to handle criticism. in the show rory is pretty bad at taking criticism or dealing with getting bad grades. she kinda views it as some sort of attack on her intelligence which is a horrible mentality to have. when you get bad grades learn from it, and learn from constructive criticism as well. i know it sucks when you do bad but ultimately that's how you learn what to do better.
conclusion:
you don't need to be like anyone else and just follow a routine that suits YOU! it's great to take inspiration from other people and from characters, but ultimately, just do what makes you feel the happiest and what makes you the most succesful.

Healthy and Productive Habits *2023 Glow Up*
Dos and don’ts that will help you form realistic habits and stick to them to level up your life:
Sleep 7/8 hours per night
Don’t : use your phone for at least half an hour before bedtime.
Do : stretch, meditate, read or journal to unwind before going to sleep. 
Eat Healthy 
Don’t : food restrictions, calories counting, too much processed food.
Do : eat everything with moderation, keep a food and symptoms journal, 80/20 rule, eat slowly, lots of greens.
Be Active 
Don’t : force yourself to do activities you don’t like.
Do : 10k steps, create 10 minutes routines of exercises you enjoy, morning+night stretch, introduce one or two resistance and strength building activities. 
Take care of your skin, hair and nails
Don’t : skin picking, face touching, nail-biting, hair on face. 
Do : be gentle with your skin, create a quick and easy to stick to morning and night skincare routine, do a self-care day once a week, use SPF daily, use a cotton cloth to dry your hair, use a glass file for your nails. 
Produce more than you consume
Don’t : too much social media and TV.
Do : choose wisely what you consume (books, listen to useful, educational and inspiring podcasts and vlogs, ...), reduce screen time, read more, do a creative activity (writing, photography, painting, ...). 
Hone your craft 
Don’t : fear of failure, perfectionism, self-doubt and self-criticism.
Do : strive for progress not perfection, enjoy the journey more than the result, take small consistent actions to improve each day in what you do, educate yourself on the subject. 
Be disciplined, be consistent and never give up!
