Have any 2p russia & 2p Itlay general headcanons? I feel like im only being fed crumbs of my favs bc ive like read all of it in binge like fits
I hope that this is good since this is my first time writing about 2p Russia and 2p Italy. I know more about the Face family more than anyone else in hetalia.
2p Russia and 2p Italy General Headcanons
2p Russia!
His name is Viktor Braginski. He has three siblings;(Moldova, Belarus, and Ukraine). Ever since the Soviet Union he hasn’t been as close with his siblings. Viktor is always trying to improve their relationship, but sadly they’re all dysfunctional and mistrusting of one another.
Viktor is super tall. 6’5 and 220lbs. He’s built like a bear and if you saw him in the wild you’d be quivering.
He has dark coffee brown hair that can be easily mistaken for black. Viktor has deep callouses and scars on his hands from long days of manual labor. His eyes are a rich burgundy color and have dark circles under them.
He’s a very stoic guy and believe in following the rules of society and chivalry. Viktor’s poker face is unmatched by everyone besides maybe François.
2p Italy!
Luciano Vargas is the personification of 2p Northern Italy. He’s 5’7 and 140lbs.
He has shiny copper hair, tan skin, and cool magenta eyes. His body is lean and built to be agile and running.
Luci is a sadist at heart enjoying taking revenge on those that has wronged him.
Like a true mob boss he values loyalty over all else. When betrayed he won’t hesitate to torture the culprit in the most mind boggling ways possible.
He’s a suave guy and often uses his charm to manipulate others to his favor. Especially woman he could flirt his way into finding out nuclear launch codes if he so pleased.

The coins:
Gold are more valuable than silver, silver are more valuable than copper
Then it’s by size within the colours so larger gold is more valuable than smaller gold, larger copper more valuable than smaller copper.
Silver also has shape - straight sided coins are more valuable than round coins (50p is heptagon, 10p is circle)
So in pairs:
Gold £2 > £1
Silver (heptagons) 50p > 20p
Silver (circles) 10p > 5p
Copper 2p > 1p
I think I was to help people who can’t read or have difficulty identifying small details. Same reason our notes are different sizes and colours.
Hope this helps!
hi friend thank you for the explanation! i wasn't expecting one when i made that silly post but this actually does help a lot lmao might save myself the embarrassment of fumbling with coins while paying now, thank u again!

How does British currency work?
Is it decimal or is it still a bunch of different coin types with different values?
It's a decimal system, but it was changed to one within living memory (1971), and so you occasionally get references to the old coin types in figures of speech etc.
Bonus: The current denominations
Copper coins- 1p, 2p
Silver coins- 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p
Gold and silver coins- £1, £2
Notes- £5, £10, £20, £50 (fairly rare, a lot of places won't accept £50 notes)
In my lifetime, we've had the £1 coin switch from round and plain gold to hexagonal with a silver disc in the middle, and all notes switch from paper to polymer. I've also seen exactly one commemorative £5 coin (it was a really big silver coin, at least much larger than is practical to carry round in a pocket), and allegedly those are legal tender, but I can't imagine anywhere other than maybe a bank accepting them?

Hello what is the equivalent English expression for “you could bounce a dime off his ass”?
I feel like u guys don’t have dimes?? (= 10 cents… pence??)
🤣🤣🤣
No we don’t we just use the number and then P or pence at the end so 1p, 20p, 50p etc, much simpler is your ask me 😂
I’m not actually sure how common that phrase is over here, and whether we even change the word, I can’t recall a time where its been used in front of me
But I guess we’d say penny which is a nickname for our 1 pence coin, I guess you could also say copper which is what we use for our 1p and 2p coins due to their colour 😅 but then you do get the imagery of cop bouncing on an ass 😂

Somebody had smashed the phonebooth glass.
The shards lay like rough marbles across the concrete.
I stepped over them and climbed through the pane that
Was smashed through instead of the proper doorway.
And unhooked the phone from the box and listened –
To that robotic drone the other end …
The insides of the booth were all yammered with graffiti;
People’s nicknames with love hearts and sexual slander.
Leaving the booth I continued into the SPAR
With its zappy green and red sign dazzled in the sun.
The shopkeeper was forever depressed and never spoke.
I got a Freddo bar for 10p and a Coca Cola for 35p,
And left the shop with them into the sunshine again.
Whenever I clacked a can open I had a fear that I’d lose
The metal cap in the inside and I’d drink it and it’d get
Lodged in my throat and I’d choke to death with nobody
To see me suffocate.
I passed the flats and the little kids’ park and the short
Plain of grass that we used for football; albeit Jamie
Wasn’t around today and Hannah and Alex were off
In Spain somewhere so it was just me left to wander.
The sugar from the coke blasted my mind and sent this
Rash all across my mouth and battled with the gluey
Chocolate smeared around the gums.
Yonder down the path there were a bunch of bigger boys
Coming my way. There was no chance for me to run
Or divert pathways so I just kept going … They wore
These pristine new trainers of Nike and Adidas and Reebok
And they’d done their hair up in spikes and I could smell
The gel from them as I passed … and they all glared down
And I was too scared to look up and one said a snarly joke
And they all laughed and when I’d moved on a few paces,
This skittering clinging noise occurred around my feet
And I flinched. A coin. They’d thrown a 2p copper at me
And there it was rolling into the bushes and they all
Guffawed and I just kept going, hoping they wouldn’t chase.
When I got home I still had half of the coke left so I took
It upstairs – to my big brother’s room. He wasn’t in.
I wasn’t allowed to bring cans of any sort into his room
So I was super careful not to spill anybody as I went in.
His bedroom was choked full of CDs and he had this
Brute of a sound system which I was not allowed to touch.
(He had this habit of pushing my eyeballs in with his
Thumbs if I did something to annoy him so I was
Keen to avoid that punishment if I could.) But he did let
Me play the PlayStation if I wanted. As long as I didn’t
Scratch the discs. And he had the game Final Fantasy VII.
I put that in and turned it on and turned the TV on … this enormous
Black hulk of magic that droned and coughed and was forever
Dusty on the helm and when the screen panged alive it
Bristled with these ferocious black and white dots all raging
Together until I switched the settings to AV, with those lovely
Crimson and yellow capped wires plugged into the right holes.
I always watched the into to this videogame even though
I’d seen it a hundred times. It was always like walking into a
New room or going into a train tunnel or plugging up a curtain.
I selected NEW GAME … and was now in this new arena,
A soldier, now, jumping off a train with a big sword on my back.
And now these goons were coming to fight me, alongside
A lift of adrenaline under my tiny ribcage. And the music!
It spattered with electric drums and nervy edgy synths and
Wouldn’t relent but kept you going through these odd tunnels
And up and down these ladders in this odd world of steaming
Pipes and hanging chains and long staircases …
Made me forget who I was and nothing quite mattered.
Not even the summery gleam outside or the pull of sugar.

Drug fic with 2p France or china please!!!!!
Withdrawal
Tw: drugs
a/n: hope this is okay i wrote this pretty quickly. I'm not too familiar with chinese culture since im half japanese, but enjoy!
Dread, is the insatiable almost incomprehensible feeling of anxiety pounding in your chest, the miserable closure of knowing your everpending fate… That overwhelming feeling of dread bubbling inside of your chest. That feeling that rises up after a bad score, a friendship lost, or when you know that you’re about to hit rock bottom again…
The smell of garlic chili oil flooded into Zao’s nostrils, and the sounds of arguing in Cantonese surrounded him. The crowded stalls packed with people at the night market felt like a safe haven turned sour. His senses felt heightened; the jittery feeling after not having his fill in so long.
He arrived at the stall at the end of the line. Its dingy red curtains blew shakily in the humid wind. Zao reached out a shaky hand to pull back the curtains before entering. The soft aroma of herbal tea laced with cigarettes doing no good to calm his nerves. The round table at the edge of the small room sat a familiar head of dirty blonde hair. The pair of sunken in lilac eyes stared apathetically into Zao’s warm brown monolids.
“How pathetic are you,” François said as more of a statement than a question his tone remained more bored than anything, his pale hand holding out a small copper container.
Zao grabbed it silently and swiftly as he turned around. The sound of cards being shuffled roughly being heard as he pulled back the red curtains once again. Part of him felt nothing but disappointment in himself and fought to fight the temptation but the part of him suffering from a brutal withdrawal won the battle.
The faint chatter and scent of fresh food layed in the distance along with the night marker as Zao ventured out further. The humid night air leaving droplets of condensation along his exposed body. He pulls open the cool copper container and pulls out the contents. Zao sticks the tip of the sharp needle into the barrel, as he pulls it back out a steady pour of the liquid drip out. His impatience winning as he eagerly flicks the tip of the syringe carefully ensuring no air bubbles remain.
Pulling his belt tight around his upper arm as he jammed the needle into his vein. Zao leaned his head against the cold brick wall behind him as the endorphins flooded his body.

King Charles III new coins designed to help children to count

By Kevin Peachey
Cost of living correspondent
Large numbers on an entirely redesigned set of UK coins will help children to identify figures and learn to count, The Royal Mint has said.
The coins will enter circulation by the end of the year, marking the new reign of King Charles III and celebrating his love of the natural world.
The tails side of every coin from the 1p to the £2 will feature the country’s flora and fauna.
Old coins can still be used, with the new set struck in response to demand.
Rebecca Morgan, director at the Mint, told the BBC: “The large numbers will be very appealing to children who are learning to count and about the use of money.
“Also the animals and everything you see on these coins will appeal to children. They are great conversation starters.”
Animals ranging from the red squirrel to the capercaillie grouse are depicted on the new designs. The King’s now-familiar portrait will be on the front of each coin – many for the first time.
Although cash use – and especially the popularity of coins – has been in decline in recent years, the Mint says heritage and need mean this change is still required.
“We know a large proportion of the country are still heavily reliant on cash,” Ms Morgan said.
“It is also tradition to mark the moment of a monarch coming to the throne with a new set of coinage, so it is important that we carry on that tradition.”
Getty Images
The BBC was given an advance viewing of the new coins, the size and shape of which remain unchanged.
Although there have been commemorative coins circulating featuring King Charles, these new designs – officially known as definitives – mark the final chapter of the King’s transition onto coinage.
Definitive coins feature the standard designs seen on the majority of official currency. These designs stay the same for years or even decades.
The previous set featured a shield formation and was introduced under Queen Elizabeth II in 2008, and will still dominate the 29 billion coins in circulation in the UK for some time yet.
The reverse, or tails side, of the new coins will be the matter of most interest to collectors and for quizmasters. They are designed to show the importance, and precariousness, of the natural world:
1p: A hazel dormouse, which has seen its population halve since 2007
2p: A red squirrel, which is expected to blend into the colour of the copper coin
5p: An oak tree leaf, signifying its role as a rich habitat for biodiversity in woodland areas and an association with monarchy of the past
10p: The capercaillie – the world’s largest grouse – found in a small part of Scotland and threatened with extinction
20p: A puffin
50p: The Atlantic salmon, which is at threat from river pollution and habitat loss
£1: Bees
£2: National flowers – a rose for England, a daffodil for Wales, a thistle for Scotland and a shamrock for Northern Ireland
PA Media
Kevin Clancy, director of the Royal Mint Museum, said: “People who remember pre-decimal coins might recall the wren farthing, or the thrift design on the 12-sided thrupence, but it wasn’t lots of natural world.
“What is different about these coins is that they are all about the natural world.”
There are also links to history and the changing of the monarchy.
Cash payments rise for first time in 10 years
Charles joins first Easter coins ceremony as King
Three interlocking Cs feature on the coins, representing the third King Charles, and taking its inspiration from the cypher of Charles II.
The edge inscription of the new £2 coin was chosen by the new King Charles and reads: “In servitio omnium”, which means: “In the service of all”.
It was taken from his inaugural speech in September last year.
The coins follow centuries of tradition with the monarch now facing left – the opposite way to his predecessor. Profiles are alternated between left and right for successive monarchs. As with previous British kings, and unlike the Queen, he wears no crown.
The Royal Mint is based in Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taf in Wales.
New banknotes featuring the image of King Charles are being printed in their millions but will not enter circulation until the middle of next year – some months after the coins.
New notes will replace damaged or worn older ones, but their introduction is slow because machines such as self-service tills need to recognise the new image.

This week I have been trying to finalise my big sculpture - it has been a physically and emotionally exhausting but rewarding week.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I used the tools above to finish all the fine details I could put in. I tried using solid beeswax to make highlights to certain areas to draw attention, but after applying a small amount on an off-cut, it didn't create the effect I desired. When I asked Jon for advice on what to do, he said it would provide an effect similar to furniture polish and make it look too modern if I wanted to keep the worn rustic effect I have made, so I abandoned that idea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After taking a moment to appreciate how far I had come with my sculpture, I sketched out some rough ideas of where I wanted to put the coins I intended to hammer into the beard. Before I could do that however, I had to fashion a sharp tool to make the holes the coins could be hammered into. Jon and Andy the wood-shop technicians fashioned me a sharp tool using staff only tools to penetrate the oak so I could hammer in with ease. Again, always using an off-cut to experiment on first so as to not damage the sculpture. The shot above right shows - the experiment was a success.. on to the hammering...
Tumblr media
The above photo shows the positions of the coins I had hammered according to my design, and my reaction was that it looked far too sparsely coined. So...
Tumblr media
On the hoof, I hammered in many more to give off the impression of a beard filled with coinage. I was pleased with result and took another emotional moment to inspect my finished project. When Jon came over to ask if I was happy with what I made, I said that I was and was happy with the aged look I had created, I then joked that it was a shame I couldn't rust the coins to add to this in time for the exhibition. With that, Jon took me to talk to another student working around the corner and showed me her work. She had created a copper plate and appeared to have written in aged copper on the back of it - when Jon asked how she achieved this, she said "Miracle-Gro".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She had plenty left over and offered me the use of it - and within minutes we were experimenting to paint two coats of Miracle-Gro to see if it would work on my first off-cut hammered 2p. She informed me that she left hers overnight to have an effect. Given that this was last thing on the Friday before the Bank Holiday weekend, I am still waiting to see if it worked. If it did, I will paint the 2ps embedded in my sculpture and leave them to work their magic. When I came home I still had a meagre amount of energy left in me to experiment with how I want the drapery on my plinth to look when it comes to exhibit.
Tumblr media
Using an off-cut piece of linen I had at home, I experimented with how I wanted the fabric to hang from the plinth to make it look remotely like an early civilisations' shrine might look. I didn't want it to look as exuberant as modern altar cloth might look, so I have chosen linen as this would be a clean, readily available cloth in early civilisations. I was happy with the equal corners that the drapery from the above photo shows. I then went to go purchase a black linen in the correct measurements to fit the plinth I have ordered from the Falmouth stores. I want the sculpture to appear at eye height and having done the correct measurements, it should look exactly how I have planned. Here's on to the last working week of the IFY...

Wire copper enamelled 155-2P 0.56MM
Copper enamelled wire is a type of wire that has a thin insulating layer of enamel coating around the copper conductor. This enamel layer provides electrical insulation to the copper wire, which is essential in many electrical applications. In this blog, we will focus on a specific type of copper enamelled wire, the 155-2P 0.56MM wire.
The 155-2P 0.56MM wire is a copper enamelled wire that has a diameter of 0.56mm and a temperature rating of 155°C. This type of wire is commonly used in electrical and electronic equipment, including transformers, motors, and generators. It is also used in various other applications, such as solenoid valves, relays, and coils.
Tumblr media
The enamel coating on the 155-2P 0.56MM wire is made of a synthetic polymer material that provides excellent insulation properties. The insulation layer is applied to the copper wire through a process called enamelling, where the wire is passed through a bath of liquid enamel and then heated to cure the enamel layer. This process ensures that the insulation layer is uniform and tightly adhered to the copper conductor.
One of the key advantages of the 155-2P 0.56MM wire is its excellent thermal resistance. With a temperature rating of 155°C, this wire can withstand high temperatures without the risk of the insulation layer melting or deteriorating. This makes it ideal for use in applications where high temperatures are present, such as in transformers and motors.
Another advantage of the 155-2P 0.56MM wire is its excellent electrical conductivity. Copper is a highly conductive material, which means that this wire can transmit electrical signals efficiently. The enamel layer also ensures that there is no contact between the copper conductor and other materials, preventing any electrical shorts or leakage.
In terms of its physical properties, the 155-2P 0.56MM wire is relatively thin and lightweight. This makes it easy to handle and install, even in tight spaces. Its small diameter also allows for more wire to be wound in a given space, making it ideal for use in compact devices.
In conclusion, the 155-2P 0.56MM wire is a versatile and reliable copper enamelled wire that has excellent thermal resistance and electrical conductivity. Its thin diameter and lightweight design make it ideal for use in a wide range of electrical and electronic applications. Whether you're building a motor or a transformer, this wire is a great choice for ensuring reliable and efficient electrical performance.
You can go to see the enameled flat copper wire in lp industry.

Honestly, what masking did for me was make me an incredibly successful shoplifter. Pretty much exclusively Red Bull, which I would give to the homeless if they attempted to rob me (which they did), but still.
I wanna laugh because, honestly, mood. Like, I didn't shoplift in like a "imma steal clothing or stuff" kinda way. I literally just occasionally pilfered sweets from the corner shop by my house. And the owner knew. He literally let the kids on the local estate pinch a couple 20p sweets and didn't chase us for it. Mostly because we also used to feel bad about it, take twenty pence pieces or loads of copper coins like 1p and 2p pieces and dump them on the kiosk then flee. Because like... Oh no! We stole! Felt the giddy joy of not being caught doing a steal! And then oh no! Morals hit because he was a nice guy! And we had to apologise but didn't want to get told off! Oh! We know! Dump a couple hundred 1p pieces on his kiosk and then run off! That'll be okay!!!
Dude probably got like triple the price of what we pinched at a time which is also probably why he let us keep doing it lmao. Damn... Good times... Good times...
But yeah! Masking! When you learn how to mimic other behaviours, or how to act in a way to deflect attention/blend in with the herd, if definitely can help lend you anonymity which can help with... Less legal behaviours for sure.
I can lie exceptionally well and have no tells for it. But I just don't care to lie because "why lie tho? It doesn't make sense? I can lie, sure, but it's a lot of effort to lie about something when I can deflect, distract, or just tell the truth ya know?" I prefer being honest or, if I can't be honest for (insert reason here) then I'd rather just distract from the thing until I'm not asked about it anymore. And to do that, I shall mask my own feelings, behaviours, or even my self-soothing stim gestures until such point that I don't need to anymore and can rock and do the arm-flappy-motion to my hearts content. Ya know? Yeah.
