3, 13 if you like :))
3 ; Lost in the woods + 13 ; “Too bad there’s no such thing as Halloween mistletoe”
"These are the same rocks!" Steve repeats, throwing his arms up in exasperation.
"You don't know that. They might just- be like that. They might have fallen over."
Steve has to pause, take a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Eddie, I was one of those dumb teens that put the rocks in that weird pentagram. I know that those are the same rocks because I remember which ones I put down! They're the same ones!"
"Alright, alright, geez. So we're a little lost, you don't need to wig out, it's not my fault."
"You said there was a shortcut here!"
Eddie winces, flinching back a little. "Yeeaah, ok, it's a little my fault- and only a little! There really is a shortcut here! I just... I didn't think it would get dark so quick, ya know?"
"Sure, whatever..." Steve mutters. He eyes the rocks, circling them a few times. "I think... if we go this way, we might end up near the Byers house? Somewhere near there, anyway."
"Better than the woods," Eddie gestures for Steve to lead the way.
They walk in silence for a long moment. Eddie mostly sneaking glances at Steve, waiting for some of the tension to ease before trying to lighten the mood.
"Sorry for yelling," Steve eventually says, his smile looking a little sheepish. "I've been stressed all week but I shouldn't take that out on you."
"No, it's fine, really. I did get us lost, after all."
"Still, I shouldn't have lost my temper. So; I'm sorry."
"Well, you're forgiven," Eddie bumps their shoulders together, feeling a little giddy at the laugh the gesture still gets him. "Besides, having some alone time with Steve Harrington in a Danny Zuko costume? I am not going to be the one complaining, baby boy."
Steve giggles, fiddles with his sleeves. "My costume looks a little boring compared to yours though."
"Maybe a little," Eddie reluctantly agrees. He has gone all out with his twisted, bloodied Krampus look.
"It's a shame, really, to have such a good costume and so many.... wasted opportunities." Steve hesitates, feeling a little daring. "Too bad there’s no such thing as Halloween mistletoe. Guess I'll just have to make the naughty list instead."
Eddie makes a choked noise, head snapping round to look at Steve- who is still smirking at him, more flirty than usual, a little pink in the cheeks.
"Steve Harrington, are you hitting on me?"
"What if I am?" He leans a little closer. "Big boy?"
