Trophy
...is this a continuation? Yeah, sure, why not?
---
Wind is well aware that he's the youngest. He'd be the smallest, too, if Four wasn't so darn tiny. He's not the weakest, though, and he knows what it's like to protect those he loves.
He has bruised kidneys and can feel both a black eye and a purple jaw incoming, but he stands straight and steady. The magic thing happening on the other side of the grid of bars is making both Four and Hyrule sick, so it's up to Wind to keep his eyes open and fists ready. He'd all but forced them to take him, too, and he doesn't regret it.
The people out there don't even glance at Wind. He hasn't seen them so much of anything, really, but he heard them talk, and he knows they want to hurt Hyrule and Four. They sound excited. They want magic, the kind that floats around in solid glass orbs over on one of the shelves like awful trophies. Wind knows that he can't let that happen, and he's prepared to fight.
He may be the youngest, but he's going to protect those two with everything he's got. And 'everything he's got,' well, that's kind of a lot, if he does say so himself.

3sent: HH/CYM; sightseeing😊
Awww, thank you!!! 🥰🥰🥰
"Yiming are we... Are we lost?" Hou Hao asks, not masking his amusement and sounding rather unbothered about the possibility, but it's alright: Chen Yiming is worried for them both because this is his city, this is Shanghai and he should have no trouble navigating it, except he absolutely does.
"Not yet," he replies bravely, looking down at his phone, trying to make it cooperate with the sheer power of his glare - this city will not ruin this for him, Hou Hao wanted to see the chocolate sculptures and he will, no matter what, even if the new year's displays keep on changing the streets locations in this place somehow.
Chen Yiming should have remembered that he is cursed however, because the moment he believes he sees the GPS signal return, his phone tragically dies, leaving them both stuck in a small alley in Nanshi, with no idea where the shop is, but Hou Hao is laughing now and well, maybe it's not that bad.
Tumblr media
This is what they are looking for btw, and it's not hard to find, CYM is just cursed 😎

Can you do zuko and mai in the Hogwarts au pretty please?
I have no idea where I was going with this but I love Maiko so I just wrote until I stopped
Mai is really good at Quidditch.
She just had an eye for it.
She’d been playing Seeker on Azula’s team since they were kids. She was two years older than her friend, but she’d unfortunately been one of the only pureblood children born in her year, and her parents had shuffled her off to the younger kids. They, rather than her, had always carefully monitored her friends. Everyone she associated with had to have the proper pedigree.
Back then, they used to play against Azula’s brother Zuko and their other friend, Ty Lee. Ty Lee was in the middle of a gaggle of sisters, and she preened at the slightest attention that Azula gave her. She would throw games just as often as she would try to win them.
Nowadays, they still played against Zuko.
The boy, one year younger than Mai, had been horrified when, upon sitting on the stool in front of the entire hall, the Sorting Hat called out “GRYFFINDOR.”
His family had been horrified too. Zuko had been cast away, sent to live with his Uncle, an eccentric veteran of the Second Wizarding War who had changed sides halfway through. Mai was absolutely, 100% forbidden to see him.
Which did nothing to explain how she ever ended up in the Gryffindor locker room.
Or why she ended up there again.
And again.
And then why she met him inside a broom closet, and then why they were whispering across a table in the library, and then why they were holding hands in the Hogs Head.
It’s a blur of long repressed feelings and teenage hormones, hidden desperately from anyone who may tell their families. Especially his sister.
Zuko, unlike her, is not very good at Quidditch.
He didn’t make the Gryffindor team his first year, or his second. He practiced day in and day out, pushing himself until he finally managed to become Chaser in his fifth year. When he makes the team again his sixth year, he rushes to Mai and, in his excitement, they barely make it inside the broom closet before his warm mouth was on hers.
"Does Gryffindor really have no one better?" she drawls, her hands fisted in his robes. "We’re definitely winning the cup this year then."
He pulls her in for another kiss, laughing at her cruelty, and her heart melts a little.

Eldritch
The jingling noise that Legend's box of rings made often inspired him. He knew every ring in there, and each had a variety of applications. Well, except for a few, their uses too narrow to use them very creatively. He still enjoyed being able to pull out tools that fit the situation exactly.
The current monster they were tracking left a trail that wolf-Twilight could sniff out, but just barely. Legend fished one specific ring out, one made of dark steel and bright silver twisted and pressed together in a pretty pattern, one he didn't love using but would get the job done.
Whatever he saw with this on, he'd keep quiet. Probably.
With everyone watching him and similarly waiting to see if this would work the way they hoped, Legend slipped the ring on and opened his eyes. Someone commented about how they'd changed color. That made sense, the ring changed what and how he could see.
Yes, he could see the trail, it was fairly obvious now. Legend ignored the glow around Sky, the tiny spirit fires around Wild, even the silhouette around Time. But he froze when a dark shape in the corner of his eye shivered and stretched—Four's shadow, blooming into something truly eldritch that didn't seem to care at all about actually looking like the small Hero's shadow.
Legend forced his eyes away. He'd keep quiet. He'd keep very quiet. He'd just find an excuse sometime soon to throw the Master Sword that direction, just in case.
(definitely was thinking of @aeriona 's creature Shadow here, he's beautiful, go check out those arts!)

Wave
A wave of panic crashed over Warriors, and he let himself flounder for two seconds before the Captain took over. He stood taller under the bright, cold sun of an unfamiliar era.
"Sky and Legend," he snapped, not bothering to soften his voice, "talk to people. See what you can find. Twilight and Wild, see if you can pick up a trail somewhere, anywhere. Time and I will talk to law enforcement. We meet back here in two hours, exactly. We have three members missing, and one day to find them."
For once, nobody argued.

Patient
Here's the end! I'll stick these up on AO3 at some point probably
---
It's almost impossible for Wild to be patient as he watches Legend pick the lock. It's not a skill they need to call on often, since they usually either kick down doors or have Hyrule's magic key, but Wild is glad they have someone to do it now. His hands tighten on the shaft of the spear he's chosen to use, something versatile for the small rooms. He hops from foot to foot. His nervous energy is echoed in the five others around him, to different degrees.
The instant that Legend lets out a grunt of satisfaction, Twilight pushes into the room, Wild on his heels.
The room isn't exactly still, but it's certainly less busy than Wild had thought it would be. He sweeps his eyes over the tables and equipment and scattered papers, counting five bookish types and three muscle types laid out on the floor, most of them with minor head wounds.
"Guys!" Wind says, turning to grin at them charging in. He looks beaten up, but he's in relatively good spirits. "Great timing."
In short order, Wind gets fed a red potion and wrapped up in Warriors's arms, a sickly Hyrule gets a green potion and Legend's arm, and a half-unconscious Four gets Sky's sailcloth and support. Wild isn't sure what happened here, but he roams the room to try his hand at forensic investigation. He snatches a protocol book to look at later, half of his mind engaged with the idea of dinner.
He has some seafood leftover. Roasted porgy sounds good, perhaps in a stew. It's a comfort food for Wind, and as long as it isn't too spicy, Four will like it. And of course Hyrule eats everything, but Wild thinks he's partial to stews and soups. They all are, really.
Wind's babbling explanations and sound effects peter off in a matter of minutes. His head droops, and he's clearly fallen asleep. Wild smiles to himself and sets a bomb down in the corner for activation once they've gotten out of here.

Feral (but it's not allowed to be about Wild or Twilight)
How about Hyrule?
---
Wind picks his way over unconscious bodies to the shelf of glass. He doesn't know what to do with the little hand-sized orbs, but he doesn't want to leave them alone here. They feel too important. After a bit of thought, he ends up wrapping them in a cloak and shoving them inside a leather bag he nicks off of someone.
He keeps two of the orbs out, though—one appears empty, but sparkles with pinks and blues when he looks at it with a lantern behind it, and the other is so vibrantly, violently Four-colored that it feels strange to hold. Wind carefully wipes away the smear of blood that mars its surface.
With the bag over his shoulder and the orbs in his hands, Wind steals the keys and unlocks Hyrule's cell first. He's acting kind of like he did when they first met him, a little feral, but his eyes aren't focusing and his face is red. Wind doesn't give him an opportunity to bolt, though, and hands him the glittering orb. He doesn't know what to do with it—break it?—but Hyrule takes it, and his ragged breathing smooths, finally.
"Hyrule?"
"Wind? What…" Hyrule is back to himself, now, and his eyes fix on the mess behind Wind.
"I beat them up. But more are probably coming, so we should get out of here."
Hyrule nods and casts the now-empty sphere aside. "Four?"
"He's next." Wind hefts the bright orb. He's very relieved to have Hyrule back. He can do stuff on his own, obviously, but it helps to know someone's watching his back, even if that someone still appears rather sick.

YO! for your lil writing thing, vidow using the word: bird! Only if you want to of course lmao
Course I wanna :D An excuse to write Vidow in yet another unexplained, random AU??? Count me in.
Shadow had to hold his floppy hat onto his head as the wind tried to steal it away, rushing over his face and freezing the tips of his ears. He grinned into the clouds that parted before the airship, blown by the propellers and fading just enough to see the sparkling country below.
The door slid open, then shut, and Shadow held out his hand behind him. Vio's fingers laced through his in response, warm. Maybe a little too warm, actually.
"You're freezing," Vio said, speaking up to be heard over the rushing wind. He stepped in close so their shoulders pressed together. "It's a bit dangerous to be out here without a coat."
"Danger? Who cares about danger?" Shadow leaned just right, so his chin propped up on Vio's shoulder. He had to admit, the scratchy wool felt nice. Maybe he really should get a coat.
"I do," Vio answered, adjusting to make the position more comfortable for them both. "I don't want to lose you again."
Shadow scoffed. He didn't discredit Vio's worries, but he felt invincible now. He threw his free arm out to the sky like the wing of a bird taking flight. "You won't. We're free!"

For the sentence prompts, if you're taking more?
Shock
:) hey anyone else see the totk earlier today? (Not really spoilers, but this does reference the video.)
---
Hyrule had been the only one to climb a tree just now, so he's the only one not shocked by their missing brother falling from the sky with a shriek of joy. Everyone—once they get past their initial panic—promptly dogpiles Wild with hugs, Hyrule near the bottom of the pile. It's laughter and some tears all around.
"Oh, I missed you all," Wild says, sitting on the ground with Hyrule still trapped in his hold. Hyrule doesn't mind much. They'd received a few letters from Wild while he'd been gone, so they know about his arm, but it's their first time seeing it. There's a bit of magic involved, Hyrule can tell.
"We missed you too," Twilight assures him.
"Your hair is a mess," Warriors says, which is pretty much the same thing.
Wild still doesn't let go of Hyrule, but he pulls out a shield anyway and puts it on the ground. "I have so much to show you! I learned so much. Have you heard of puffshrooms?"
And they thought Wild was feral before. Hyrule can't wait to get into more trouble with him.

Gold, any
FS! 420 words blaze it
---
To nobody's surprise, Red starts crying long before they make it to the sanctuary. Green can tell he's trying not to be loud or annoying about it, but the atmosphere weighs heavily, soaking their boots and making it hard to breathe. Or maybe that's just the impending rain. It's fitting.
Zelda isn't with them. She'd respected their request to stay back, so she's waiting at the edge of the forest. She'll come if they're gone more than an hour, of course, and Green doesn't worry about that.
Five minutes into the silent walk, Green starts crying, but like the rest, he doesn't stop. Red holds his hand, and Green squeezes it back. He doesn't know when Blue's tears come, but by the time they reach the grove, only Vio's cheeks are dry.
Each of them holds their sword, sheathed, looking more out-of-place than they ever have. In the gray light and encroaching mist, the gold hilts look coppery and distinctly non-glimmery. Green almost wished they had lost one of them for good.
Vio's quiet, and as they approach the pedestal, he drifts closer and closer to Green's other side. Their steps align, all four of them, and Red's tears renew.
"I don't—" he says, and Green moves from holding his hand to wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "I don't want to say goodbye."
"It isn't really goodby-ye," Vio tries to explain, but his voice breaks on the last word, and he goes quiet instead of talking more.
Blue huffs, though it sounds wet. "We won't exist anymore. It's goodbye."
"The longer we talk," Green says, trying to be firm, "the harder it'll be. Come on. Let's just…" He's the first to pull the sheath off of his sword. It shines dully, and the first raindrops fall.
Vio's the second, and Blue is the third. Red hesitates, but follows, raindrops mixing with tears on his face. He hiccups. His emotions are making it difficult for Green to keep control of his own. It's probably the same for Blue and Vio, but nobody tells Red to be quiet.
They step up to the pedestal as one, swords held up. Is it Green's imagination, or do his brothers' swords flicker?
"See you later," Green says, a hurricane in his heart and his fingers clammy. He doesn't think, he just plunges the sword down into the stone.
—and it's pain—it's emotional turmoil—it's seeing the world from too many angles—it's being too big—it hurts—
And then there's just one of them.
…or is there?

for your writing thing, maybe delirious? (I have other ideas, but I've chosen my fave lol)
:) another continuation! There are two more after this one to conclude this lil series. "Tiny stories" I said. "Unconnected" I told myself. Uh huh.
---
"Me this time."
"You don't have magic," one of the bad people says flatly, staring at Wind through the bars. She's not as in-charge as she thinks she is, but she has enough power to choose which part of the cell to open.
"Sure I do," Wind shoots back. He makes a conscious effort to look as harmless as possible, keeping his arms to the sides and tilting his head to make himself seem younger. It's a useful skill. "See for yourself."
Please buy it please buy it come on
It's not that Wind's lying, not really. He does have a little magic, but nothing he actively uses. He just doesn't know if what he has counts to these people. If they open his cell, though, and take him out there…
Hyrule's feverish over in his own cell, shivering and quiet. Four's delirious. Wind shouted a lot earlier, all for nothing, so he made another quick plan he set into motion as soon as he found someone who might listen to him.
The woman considers him for a moment, then gives a nod and an order, laced with a threat. Wind just has to time this right.

Name
"And… what was the name again?" The girl tosses her hair.
Legend rolls his eyes, but at least Sky is immune to any girls that aren't already his girlfriend. Sky's patient as he tries to explain who they're looking for—three kids, or apparent kids, who sort of look like each other…
The girl has no idea, but tries to draw out the interaction anyway.
Annoyed, Legend turns his back to scan the rest of the market. It's getting dark, and he can feel his blood pressure rising with anxiety. He's worried for all three of their missing members, of course, Wind is prone to getting himself hurt and Four occasionally suffers from nasty migraines, but Legend feels a particular spark of fear for Hyrule. He's closer to that kid, of course, and knowing what he does about Hyrule's heritage…
Something shiny and rather out-of-place catches Legend's eye, and before the conversation with the girl even ends, he snatches Sky's sleeve and runs.

For the mini-fics: "dream" (Four Swords, any AU, maybe some Red/Blue if you feel like it? Only if you feel like it though, I do remember you mentioning it wasn't one of your ships, and I'm happy to read any interaction between the two <3)
It... it wasn't one of my ships. And then your writing, and then this, and uh. Anyway, I guess this is some kind of tragic fairytale AU. (it isn't long!)
---
"I don't like this," Blue muttered, shadowing Red as they stalked through the castle halls. His heels clicked on the polished floors, and glints of armor and a crown kept catching Red's eye in the mirrors.
"I, Red, the prince and heir of Hyrule, do solemnly invoke the sacred Wall of Thorns."
Red tried to ignore the warm presence at his shoulder. This was not the time or place for dreams, especially silly dreams like taking Blue's hand, or leaning against Blue's chest, or dragging him into one of the closets they passed and—
Army, approaching. Danger, imminent. Blue, bodyguard, not boyfriend. Not now, not ever. They'd run out of time. It hurt.
"This castle and all therin will be protected from harm by the Thorns of Nayru, caught in time just as their prince."
"Nobody likes it, Blue," Red answered. He hoped his voice didn't shake, or that Blue would take it to be fear of the coming storm rather than anything else. They slowed in front of the large door just ahead, decorated with wrought iron in the shape of thorny rosevines.
"I don't want to let you go through with this."
"But you will, because there's no other way. You agreed about that." Red unlocked the door, and Blue helped him to push it open. It felt heavy, in more than one way. His steps slowed as he approached the raised dais in the center of the dim, circular room.
"The land will be blessed and forgotten by all but its inhabitants until I may take possession of the throne once again."
It wasn't strictly tall enough for him to need help, but Red held his hand out anyway. "Help me up?"
Blue's hand was warm under the soft leather of the glove. After Red stepped up, Blue followed, and Red had to actively avoid his eyes, or he'd get lost. They didn't have the time to waste.
Red sat on the richly appointed bed and looked at his hand, still clutched in Blue's. "You don't have to be here right now."
"You're not going to keep me away."
"I know." He'd been so sure that he'd have time with Blue someday. But Blue couldn't be… he couldn't lift the spell of he was trapped inside it with the rest of the castle. With the rest of the kingdom.
"The spell will lift only when one who can be considered a soulmate bestows upon me true love's first kiss."
Red picked up the small book on the night table and lit the candle, all with one hand.
"This spell is irrevocable, impenetrable, and absolutely binding."
He'd been so sure. He started reading the spell's activation, even as hoofbeats sounded in the windows.
---
If I wrote out this whole thing, there would be a loophole or something where Blue doesn't actually fall asleep but ends up being captured by the enemy and has to fight his way out—or maybe Green and Vio show up and one of them could be considered a platonic soulmate—or magic blips and just Blue wakes up, minutes at a time every few years, watching the world out the windows change, battling with his feelings and taking a long time to get over himself. There are a lot of options!

peaches :)
this is a bit of an extra scene from the story incandescently happy (just after chapter 8!) Brief context: post-LU, Wild's Zelda is working on a way to time travel between the Links, who returned to their own times. She's managed to get letters and parcels between them, and this litrle scene follows the first test of sending a living creature across a lot of time—Georgiana the cucco briefly visited Sky, who fed her while she was there.
---
Though the clucking was soft, Zelda still jumped when the gem on her wiry contraption flashed. She immediately set down her work and ran over before Georgiana the wonder cucco could fall off the ledge and hurt herself. To Zelda's surprise, Georgiana didn't squawk or flap her wings in annoyance. In fact, she seemed downright content, nuzzling just a little into Zelda's hand.
Her unexpected demeanor was explained by the response to her note, wrapped around the metal-and-wire collar, written in a somewhat familiar, legible scrawl.
Zelda's heart leapt. She clapped her hands, and even that couldn't dispel Georgiana's good mood. "It worked! So, you like peaches, do you, girl?"
