“Mrs. Presley was sitting directly behind Elvis, and I had turned sideways, facing her, so she could hear what I was saying. Elvis was constantly touching the inside of my knee, then walking his fingers up my thigh. He was keeping his eyes on the road, and his arm down, so that his mother couldn’t see what he was doing. I was stopping his walking fingers and trying to concentrate on what I was saying all at the same time. He was not only distracting me but enjoying every minute of it.
“Elvis, you leave June alone. I’m enjoying what she has to say. I don’t know what you’re doing, but I have a good idea,” Mrs. Presley scolded, slapping him on the back of his head with a folded magazine.”
