Rhea was a lucid dreamer who fell out of her dream into the dreaming kingdoms. She really genuinely wants to do good and be good, and as such struggles with the moral greyness of intentionally giving people nightmares. She works very hard to find a "perfect" resolution. Rhea wants very badly to make everyone happy and have people like her, sometimes to a fault. Rem is her best friend and she is very close to Puck and Raken personally as well outside of being Coworkers™️. Shes optimistic and has an intense, perfectionistic ambitious drive.

Rem is...not as evil as he looks but he's not as straightforward as "yaaay lets be good people!" he is incredibly prone to bad, impulse decisions, and often jumps to conclusions. He really loves the people close to him but is convinced they dislike him or need more from him constantly which makes things Complicated. Halfway through the series, something happens such that Rem kind of snaps and goes sicko mode, committing to this evil caricature and actively plays out what he assumes people think of him. Its a bad time for everyone. Raken wants to have a father/son relationship with him but Rem views it more as a divine figure/lowly servant vibe which is also a struggle. (also I mentioned this once but Rem almost never dresses like this, most of the time hes just in Regular Dude clothes)

Puck is a double agent between the dreaming and nightmare worlds. He is very close to the Nightmare Crew, but doesnt have full faith that they will be able to succeed against the dream queen and is worried about that inevitable outcome. In general he just wants to be "ok" but doesnt trust in his ability to actually achieve that. Hes deeply insecure and anxious all the time, but also arguably has the best heart and commits the least Atrocities out of anyone.

Raken is the struggling single father trying to wrangle all his henchmen. He is not a bad guy at all, he understands the role he has to play in the dreaming world and takes his responsibility seriously. He loves history and tradition, and values his mantle but does bemoan the inherent suffering he brings. he tries his best to do his job as carefully and conscientiously as possible. He views himself as a mentor figure for his henchmen and tries very hard to help them, but theyre A Lot and he can only do so much. in particular when Rem goes fully off his rocker all he could really do is be like "are you winnin' son"

Pete’s world revolves around the same broken-aching-tender point. And this is the part Macau knows even if he doesn’t know why, so for the first month? That’s where their dynamic lives.

And then Vegas is awake, and there’s a potential for happiness in him that simply was not there before, and it’s Pete. Pete can make Vegas better. That means it’s Macau’s job to help make sure Pete stays. And isn’t it fascinating that Macau goes straight for “in-law”? Straight for “family,” because in Macau and Vegas’s world family is the ultimate binding. Macau says in-law and means you’re part of us now. For better or for worse. For good.

(There is—not jealousy, but a niggling sense of personal insufficiency underneath. Macau’s world does revolve around Vegas. However miserable life gets, Macau has his big brother and that is enough to keep him living and pushing forward.

He sweats and laughs a lot when he’s drunk, and swallows disgusting herbal concoctions the next morning to deal with the hangover. When he notices Macau’s expectations for him and Vegas, he either smiles too wide or goes very quiet and still and Macau’s not sure which is worse. Sometimes he forgets to lock the bathroom door. Sometimes Macau dozes off on his shoulder during movie night and he doesn’t move until Macau stirs awake.

Sometimes he fucks up, the way people do.

And Macau realizes: maybe the only person who can keep someone on this earth is the person themselves. And maybe Vegas sometimes needs his brother, the one who made his crooked arms a cradle. I'm really, really fond of this book. I'm fond of all my book children, but this is the first book I've written where I felt like I was working WITH these characters instead of controlling them. Nick (the hot single dad) and Eli (the failed comedian who returns home) are my co-workers, not my kids, if that makes any sense. I used to think every story ever told could be put into one of two categories: 1) a stranger comes to town or 2) our hero journeys to an unknown land. This book is neither and I think I've grown as a writer because of it. It's also my first book that switches POV (third person) because, for this story, it was important to me to give both these guys equal weight in telling their side. There's a lot happening here: home, family, getting older, reckoning with your past. But at its core it's about two very silly dudes who still love each other after all this time.

A character to have her own arc... A character to have a solo fight with 2 main villains of this series... (Million times better written than Sakura and Hinata)

2. He wrote Konan, a secondary side character... Only woman Akatsuki member... Had a notable fight with the main villain of this series and almost killed him... (If only he wasn't an Uchiha... he would be dead already)... (She did more than what Hinata did in the entire series)

3. HE WROTE SAORI, A FEM VERSION OF SASUKE.

4. He never sexualized little girls... However he sexualized Sasuke and Sai though.

What are the odds that Stefania (and the dude who plays Ben) return to Grey's? I hate to think of them losing work when they can so easily just be back at Grey Sloan (I mean they had Miranda show up how many times?). And they can keep Marina alive by having Carina drop tidbits about her life. Maybe Danielle guest stars here and there. GA is a revolving door of returning cast members, so it doesn't seem so out of pocket. And the actors seem to love their roles. It would be stupid not to.

I think it's pretty likely that Ben will go back to Grey's. They can very easily make that his 'ending' on Station in the finale and his wife is already there so it's the obvious move. But with Stefania/Carina it's a little more tricky. I'm not sure how open ended the writers are going to leave the finale/storylines in case the show does happen to get picked up or saved by another network so I think it would depend on that too. I know a popular 'ending' for Marina is people wanting Maya to transfer to another station where she can actually be captain and Carina starts her own practice. Both are great but if the show actually does get saved, then what lol. And then it would make Stefania being on Grey's less likely.

And honestly, that show has way too many characters as is so if they were to bring Stefania back, what are the chances she would even get any kind of decent material to be working with? I find it very unlikely. She'd be a background character and she deserves better than that, she always did. Look at characters who are actual regulars on that show (Amelia, Teddy, Bailey, etc.) who are barely getting anything decent these days. It's not worth the risk of what they could do to Marina's endgame too. The more Carina/Stefania is on Grey's, the more it could effect Maya and Carina's situation if Maya isn't there with her. It's not that I want Stefania out of a job opportunity or anything like that but I think at this point Grey's wouldn't even give her anything of substance that would make it worth it anyway.

Yeah still want to believe that, they'll have to rescue her and her dad will finally have to come to the camp and take Nikki for once and for all, he wants to send her to a girls only school and thinks she needs to learn some manners and such before going, the episode ends with everyone thinking they'll never get to see Nikki again and her actually believing so, so they say their goodbyes

Next episode they come up with a plan to show Nikki is perfectly happy with camp Campbell and a fancy school will only kill her wild spirit, her father probably gives in since he only wants what's best for her

This man then gets married to a much better woman but Nikki has a hard time accepting this, the episode revolves around that and Nikki coming to terms with her stepmother, her dad could go to the camp to tell her personally and she'd insist he marries there, she probably thinks it's her parent's remarriage

Away from that mess

How about a new camper? The most normal, regular kid ever but with a twist, they're pretty cool, everyone seems to enjoy their company, everyone likes them, they're there temporarily while their parents fix the new house they just moved into, the campers show them around, Pikeman wants them to join his camp (regardless if this camper is a girl), the flowerscouts love them too, when they leave the 3 camps throw a goodbye party they all helped organize, this kid is just perfect, adapts well to the environment, to the various groups and no one is ready to see them leave, they promise to visit of course and then it cuts to the kid arriving home, going through some weird elevator and sitting at a table with this dude who's watching real time footage of the camp, congratulating the kid for a job well done

So this dude wants to destroy camp Campbell, but why? One of Campbell's old enemies? Daniel maybe? Or maybe Daniel is working for this guy now because he wants revenge on the campers and this dude is going to help him get that

But wait there's more! A camera on the flowerscout camp as well? And in the woodscouts camp? Wait does he want to destroy all camps of lake lilac? Perhaps he used to belong to camp Campbell and was friends with kids from the other camps, but something happened putting all camps and kids at risk, he lost his friends and the camp owners weren't even charged so now he's been plotting his revenge against the 3 owners, Campbell, miss Priss and whoever is watching over Pikeman and the others

And what if he was friends with this 3 instead, in some camp when they were all children, I don't have a plot for this one

Anyway more eps with the kid coming back and then the finale was the 3 camps coming together, a lot of character development and questions answered and we can close the series before it lives long enough to see itself become the villain

my problem with Yelan’s storyquest is that it doesn’t do any functions that good story quest is supposed to, which is:

give unexpected dimension to a character that lets you see them in a new, deeper light

provide a background information

give them an interesting conflict that highlights their core values

give an opportunity for character development. 

Itto’s and Raiden (part 2) quests are good, because they did all of these things. Yelan’s didn’t give us any new information on her that you couldn’t get from her trailer. like yeah, she’s competent and badass spy with an intelligence network, wow who could've thought.

her whole quest revolves around another NPC, which doesn’t have to be a problem by itself. Itto’s quest gave spotlight to blue oni to show him off as a foil to Itto’s principles. Venti’s quest was about exploring another character who turned out to be a mirror to Venti himself, and could spell out things that Venti would never admit out loud. but for Yelan, that dude was neither foil nor mirror, he didn’t connect to her in any personal way. What was even the point of him?

then halfway through I thought this quest is going to be about Yelan’s conflict between her personal interest in taking the position for herself and her integrity. like she would have to choose between admitting the dude is better for the job than she is. But no, first of all, he sucks, second, she never really wanted the job! What. Was. Even. THE POINT.

another option, which i assumed was going to happen for the title, was to show Yelan taking a gamble, making a risky move that seemed reckless, but ultimately you see that she was in control all along. The game was rigged from the start, etc. But she never risked anything in this quest. There was no gamble, like??

I like Yelan, and I certainly like her more than Childe, she’s a 150% a hotter and cooler hydro bow in my eyes, but I’ve gotta admit, from purely narrative perspective, Childe’s quest is better.

it not only gives him a new dimension, it also gives a background on him and his motivation, and also provides him a conflict between performing his job as Harbringer and keeping up a lie for his brother, where he unflinchingly chooses to make himself look stupid to keep up the lie to show his actual priorities. this quest also sets up the roots of an obvious trainwreck that is going to happen, that is already foreshadowed by the name choice. but even if you don’t know who Ajax and Teucer were, from this quest you can make a reasonable guess that like. telling your reckless little brother that you’re harmless toy salesman and letting him barge into your business, while you’re actually a KGB spy and de facto terrorist is just... eventually will backfire on your reckless brother. this is a proper quest that gives a deepened characterization, conflict and setup for the following development.

Yelan gets literally none of this, I’m so mad on her behalf tbh. like they are so focused on making her flawless and badass, they can’t even give her a conflict that would make player question her judgment for three seconds. she muscled out Xiao from spotlight in his own character arc and got her own story quest at the same time, and she still has less dimensions than some unplayable NPCs we see for one quest

My mom is making me read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil because the school I want to go to is in Savannah, and everything I read in that book just makes me even more convinced that the South is completely bonkers. To name just some of the weird shit that’s happened: 

Some dude flew a Nazi banner to piss off the crew of a historical film. Right across the street from a synagogue. 

Another dude tried to make glow-in-the-dark goldfish, but fed them too much and ended up just making their guts glow. 

A transgender drag queen quit her job in the most spectacularly over-the-top fashion by grabbing all her clothes out of her wardrobe and booking it down the street. 

The narrator and an old lady have drinks in a graveyard at one point. This book became famous enough IRL that people started bringing drinks to the actual graveyard. 

The book apparently revolves around a murder mystery, but I’m like six chapters and over 100 pages in and so far, no one’s died. 

There’s a male prostitute with a Confederate flag tattoo. That’s...that’s it, that’s my entire point. 

The guy with the Nazi banner is also an antiques dealer who keeps loaded antique pistols all over his house. His roommate is the aforementioned male prostitute. I think you can see where this is going. 

To be clear: the murder mystery part has still not happened. I got this info spoiled for me by the Wikipedia page.

bev deserves better. she deserved better than most of her plotlines lets be very real but her and picard dancing around each other was PART of why tng was Different and I genuinely love the episode where they get psychically linked and she realises that he's been in love with her for YEARS but is too Picard to do anything about it. Picard being bad with women is a plot thread I genuinely love, I find it very relatable, very unkirk about him. it is the subversion of the trope of spaceman with a lady on every planet!!! it is his hamartia! Apart from all his other flaws, which he has many!!!! because hes actually kind of a terrible person!!!!! but it is what makes him sad!!!!

no. a line must be drawn!!!!! this far and no further!!!!!! I really loved s1 of picard in all its flawed glory for painting a picture of a federation and a starfleet that was starting to buckle under the strain of bad decision making and its ideals when it bit off more than it could chew. the glory days are gone. there is rot there. the federation went headlong from the dominion war into saving the romulans and it ruined them, it ruined everything, and we SAW this, we saw it in the new characters, in good officers and heroes outside of the system who should not have been there, old threads picked up and pulled on and unravelled, it stretched itself too thin. now, as with modern trek they still managed to do TOO MUCH, but on the whole...yeah. it worked enough. but much like disco s1 (which had very similar problems but ultimately wasn't bad) they ruined it with season 2.

anyway we know from the trailer that there is going to be holodeck shenanigans and Lore and other UTTER BULLSHIT and we probably will not have the nice nuanced 'how the fuck did we get here' minimum 3 episodes, explaining howe 50-something beverley crusher has a fling with picard and it goes so badly that when she gets pregnant she...never mentions it, literally runs away, no one either of them knows ever mentions it, she drops off the face of the galaxy to go do what I assume Seven was doing??? does seven know?? did she know??? doesn't the federation have some kind of MSF type of shit that she should be RUNNING?? THE WOMAN IS NEARLY 80 SHE SHOULD BE RUNNING THIS SHIT BY NOW.

Castiel Novak is a fairly decent high school principal but fairly decent. Anything doesn't pay mortgages after your divorce, so this fairly decent high school principal moves into a new building.

Castiel knew with the divorce and relocation that it would take a bit to aclimate to his surroundings.

He wasn't expecting to acclaimate to a fourteen year old sitting on his couch eating the strawberries from his fridge.

Of course, at first, Castiel is appalled. He's ready to call the police and demand answers until he recognizes the Fourteen year as Sam Winchester, who is normally an above average student, then he remembers that Sam's father is gone a lot.

He knows he should question what's happening, but Sam is bothering anything, and at least they know each other to some degree.

"Sam," the teen turns his head to look back at Castiel, "Do you have any homework?"

And suddenly it becomes a routine.

Every other day, he finds Sam on his couch after school is out, homework spread out on his coffee table, and whatever fruit he'd bought that week being consumed.

It's almost a month later when Castiel hears a knock at the door and opens it thinking it would be the young man — only to see someone who is definitely not Fourteen year old Sam Winchester.

The green eyed stranger blinks at him for a beat, mouth open in surprise before he stutters out jumbled words and starts rubbing his neck.

"Excuse me?"

The stranger coughs, "Ah, well, I just found out where Sammy's been hanging when I'm at work — seriously, dude, I am so sorry. He's a good kid, but he'd got boundaries issues, and I, uh, well — yeah, sorry. I kinda owe you for you, know — anyway — here." An envelope is handed to him with a furtive goodbye and a, lack for a better phrase, cloud of dust.

It was two hundred dollars.

Castiel carefully slips the money into Sam's backpack the next day.

He finds a post-it note on his door that says, "Okay, fine." A frown face next to it with a quicker scrawl under saying,"Dean made me leave this"

Through careful questioning and two awkward dinners later, the principal finds out Sam's parental figure is his older brother , who is barely twenty-one, works two jobs, and takes care of their wheelchair bound Uncle ("grumpy old man won't let us move him out of that dump he has. It's safer. We're on the first floor here!")

After that, it happens even more. Sometimes, Sam is accompanied by Kevin Tran, who is two years younger than Sam but two grades above him and a redhead girl he's never seen before that introduced as Charlie. (Castiel finds out she lives with Sam and Dean on the weekends but goes to an all girl magnet school during the week. Castiel ignored the looks the three of them shared)

He sees more of Dean too.

They pass Sam back and forth and an unspoken agreement.

He learns more and more about Dean every day, if not from Sam and Charlie, then from the man himself, or Bobby, thsme uncle, when he's over, Jody the town sheriff, Miss Macleod who lives above them and their mailman Garth (Castiel didn't even ask the mailman. He saw Sam with him and just started talking. He's nice)

Four years.

For four years this becomes the unexpected norm in Castiel's life so when Sam gets into Stanford, the principal realizes just how much his life had become revolved around this off the wall crazy custody arrangement that he happened upon.

It also shows him how much he'd fallen in love with the Winchester family and that he'd be more than willingly to stay around longer — possibly.

"You could quit one of your jobs." Castiel says sheepishly as Dean tapes a box closed.

"You asking to move in together, Cas? I gotta tell ya this a little fast for my taste. You haven't even asked me out on a date yet."

Castiel sighs, "Dean, would you like to-"

"Shut up and come here —'been raising a teenager together for four years and I ain't even been kissed proper."

Castiel Novak is a fairly decent high school principal, but he's a pretty damn good kisser as well.

Spoilery thoughts on the new Indiana Jones movie under the cut.

First two thirds or so of the movie I felt were pretty rough stuff.

Not like, the worst movie you've ever seen. But not good.

It opens with CGI Young Harrison Ford, which was just a lot to swallow right off the bat.

Then after the CGI Young Indy portion is over, we kind of move into Elderly Indiana Jones being roped into one last caper. It's hitting the note pretty hard that he's past his prime and shouldn't really be doing this sort of stuff anymore, but it doesn't want to commit to the idea that Indiana Jones might not actually be capable of all the things he did as a young man anymore. He spends a lot of time overpowering younger people with his superior strength and fighting ability. He hasn't been involved in this scene in over twenty years but he's still the only one with contacts he can call upon to help him out with various jobs in various countries. So on and so forth.

A lot of it revolves around this arc with his godaughter, who's grown into a person of ill repute selling various historical relics to the highest bidder. All she cares about is the money, but over the course of the movie she becomes a heroic type like him, though it's not really clear why or what motivated this change of heart.

And like, the whole impetus is that he has to clear his name, because the baddies killed some dudes, and then he was the prime murder suspect, seemingly just because he was the main character and he was nearby when it happened. Again, not really clear what kind of case these guys have against him that he'd have to go through all this trouble to clear his name. There wasn't any like active attempt to frame him or anything that we saw.

But, major spoilers, there's a point in the movie where it gets revealed that this has all been a scheme to go back in time and kill hitler, and that's the point where it becomes a silly enough movie for me. Not gonna go into all the details, but it gets pretty crazy past that point, and is cheesy in a good way, rather than the not so good way it had been before that point. Really won me over in the end.

Villain: Kralvize, who Whispers to Tyrants

Beware the Green-Eyed Monster

Adventure Hooks:

After getting tangled up more than once in the borderline criminal schemes of the duchess regent, the party’s confrontation with this highborn harridan is undercut when she comes to them under cover of night to ask for their aid. The duchess only maintained power because her young nephew had not yet come of age to rule the territory,  and while she was looking forward to several more years of unquestioned authority during the boy’s adolescence, someone else has come along and ousted her from her position of influence. Though appearing a faltering accademic at first, the young duke’s tutor has quickly got the whole court wrapped around his finger, in no small part dude to his almost supernatural ability to ferret outs secrets. The duchess regent unnatural influence is afoot, as several of her well bribed lackeys have shut her out completely, despite the arsenal of blackmail she has against each of them. 

It’s said that if you follow the river you’ll find a statue of a beautiful young man reclining as he watches the flowers blooming by the bank. Rest in this peaceful spot, and if the stories are true, you’ll receive a dream which will lead you to your hearts desire. Deciding to take the dare, the party does indeed receive dreams relevant to their ongoing quests. Successive use of this statue makes the dreams more and more vivid, until the party is suddenly cut off from their prophetic wellspring with a final message of “If you want to know, Free me.” Digging, they’ll discover that the statue is infact  decoration atop a stone sarcophagus, apparently belonging to the bastard prince of a long passed royal family who someone cared enough for to intern with honors. The party may not trust the spirit locked within this tomb, but can they accomplish their goals without it? 

The party gets a shady but extremely high paying job through a number of intermediaries, asking them to break into a temple, access the vault below, and come away with a reliquary box containing the skull and crown of a long departed monarch. Whosever masterminding this heist seems to have extensive knowledge of the temple and it’s security measures, right down to which treasures/burial niches are warded against theft. When they manage to scramble back to their safe house, they discover half their expected payment waiting for them, and destructions to travel overland to deliver the crown to its intended recipient. The recipient happens to be a bandit chieftain with a massive bounty on their head, who’s just as surprised to see the party as they are to stumble into the outlaws’ camp. 

Setup: The power behind an ever revolving number of thrones throughout history, Kralvize is every wicked vizier and corrupt advisor trope one think of stuffed into a tattered robe. Made all the more sinister by the fact that he is a literal devil, this malign spirit nonetheless always seems to find some hapless heir or powerhungry upstart in need of his guidance. 

Once an ambitious duke of hell ruling over expansive realms, Kralvize’s expansion led him into conflict with a number of hell’s movers and shakers, who decided to move to shake him from his throne. Not content with simply usurping their neighbor, this alliance of infernal nobility worked a curse upon Kralvize that would destroy him if he ever claimed power for himself again.  Wandering the planes as little more than a shade for thousands of years, Kralvize eventually realized that influence and information didn’t count against the provisions of the curse, nor did wielding power on another’s behalf. So long as he acted as another’s toady, he could command armies and rule kingdoms, and that was enough wiggleroom to give the clever devil everything he wanted. 

Further Adventures: 

Kralvize’s MO is to haunt a kingdom on the verge of a great political upheaval or reshuffling of the social order until he finds someone with the potential for seizing power. He then presents himself in disguise as a sympathizer/would be ally, or as a helpful whisper that could be confused for an instinct. Perhaps one of the heroes has a noble or politics adjacent background, and was unknowingly scouted by Kralvize, pushed in one direction or another before being passed up for a more likely candidate. None the less this interaction shaped them deeply, which will be all the more shocking when they hear the devil’s voice coming out of some other stranger’s mouth. 

The green orb which the fiend always carries with him is called “ the wantful eye”, an artifact acquired shortly after his banishment from hell’s halls of power and key to his eventual return.  The orb secretly collects the wishful thoughts of those over a large region, allowing the devil to survey the schemes of his rivals while trawling the collective unconscious for gossip and potential victims.  What’s more, the orb is a sort of battery, charging up as it feeds on envy and ambition to allow Kralvize to work all manner of want based magics. Eventually the eye will be full enough that Kralvize will be able to wish himself free of the curse, Slaying the devil will give the party access to this orb and its divinatory capabilities, but Kralvize will soon enough regenerate and stop at nothing to reclaim it from the party. 

Once a patron accepts the devil’s aid Kralvize schemes to heap yet more power and problems upon their liege's lap, until the now hapless tyrant begs him to relieve them of the burdens of royalty. Like that, Kralvize’s grand design comes to fruition and he possesses his victim’s body, living out the rest of their life to spare them one more moment of having to worry about their responsibilities of governing.

Jonathan often did tutoring while at school and at university -- in spite of the fact he was doing a doctorate & rugby at the same time. He's just really nice like that and wants people to succeed!

If you watched the English dub of Jojo and wondered where Joseph's British accent went in part 3... get him drunk. It will slip so hard that it is almost shocking. He also still spells things in British English, so putting us in words like color/colour

Joseph snores SO. DAMN. LOUD. everyone thinks its something that just happened as he aged but NOPE - Erina & Speedwagon both say that Joseph snored so loud you could hear it from the next room when he was a baby

Jotaro is a dog lover. He prefers dogs to cats and often helps out at shelters and fosters dogs! I also imagine post-Egypt he got a therapy dog. He likes big, scary looking dogs, like pitbulls or mastiffs!

Jotaro is a fussy eater - his fave food is his mum's cooking and he possibly still eats dinosaur nuggets. Kakyoin & Polnareff tried to get him to try different foods during their Egypt adventure, but Jotaro always went back to ol reliable

Josuke is shockingly good at hair, makeup & nails. I imagine that following Diamond Is Unbreakable, he helps out at Cinderella (which is now owned by a friend or sibling of Aya) and is surprisingly good at his job!

Josuke gives the BEST hugs and he pulls them out at any moment -- feeling down? hug! we haven't seen each other in a while? hug! he hugs everyone, no matter the gender, bc he's secure in his sexuality

Giorno is that one bitch who cries at every Disney movie. Yes, even the ones that aren't sad. It's somewhat embarassing, but no one has the heart to tell him that because of the fact he didn't really have a childhood (well except for Abbacchio but that's bc he's a dick)

Giorno Giovanna is nonbinary. He doesn't really care about gender, more seeing it as just a construct or a waste of time. Besides, who in Passione is going to argue with the don walking into a meeting wearing a dress? Nobody, bc their Capo will shoot whoever even made an attempt to argue

Jolyne was really into skate culture, possibly as a result of being a child of the late 90s/early 00s. She had a thing for Tony Hawk and tried to teach herself how to skate! Jotaro once gave her Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for her birthday and she became the coolest kid on the playground for a moment

Jolyne is the opposite of her father with food, always trying weird shit. It started when she was a kid and she accidentally tried wasabi thinking it was guacamole, and its never stopped since

Johnny is surprisingly good with kids and has always wanted to be a parent. He also often used the spin to perform little magic tricks to entertain/calm down George II. This could be as a result of his douchebag dad, however, I also think that Johnny just loves the idea of being a parent/family man

Johnny's side of the family was where Holy, Kira and to a lesser extent Gappy's incredible direction measuring came from! He doesn't like to use it, even as a jockey, because he believes its cheating -- WHEN ITS NOT

Gappy is that motherfucker who can do complex math equations in his head. This one is more canon than the others, but I also imagine that he often just does it to screw with people, such as asking them a question and then immediately answering it 5 seconds after. Yasuho is impressed! and Joshu wants to drown him in a river :')

Gappy has vitiligo! Kira's skin was a lot paler than Josefumi's, so there's parts of his skin that are really pale and other parts that are more an olive color

Petition to change S4 of Nancy Drew to follow the actual seasons of the year instead of taking place in a ridiculously condensed and unrealistic timeframe.

Like the fact that the entirety of S3 took place over a roughly 2 week timeframe (not counting the 1 month time jump in the last 10 minutes of the finale) is just absurd.

Whatever reasons they originally had for operating the show on this timeline…I don’t think anyone in the audience is really on board with it, and I don’t see that it adds any value, so why bother?

Especially because they don’t play by their own rules and have major events happen in a timeline that should not happen (think about the fact that George and Nick got engaged and then fully broke up like a week and a half later).

What I’d love to see: Start S4 with a time jump to Summer.

Filming for the show typically starts in July anyway. Why not time the episodes to align with the natural weather patterns?

I think having roughly a week between each major supernatural interruption is a lot more believable than having one every 24-48 hours.

A time jump also gives the drew crew all time to settle a bit into their “new” jobs/lives on their own without having to show a lot of the natural separation that would come with that on screen.

It would be so painful (in a good angsty way) to find out that Nancy and Ace have had no/very little contact for months before they (and the rest of the crew) are drawn back together to work on the new mystery together. It would underscore just how hard Nancy is working to keep him safe and how she doesn’t trust herself to even be in his presence.

Bonus points if we find out that during those months, Ace has not stopped trying to research what is going on with her (since he obviously doesn’t believe Nancy). “Silence doesn’t mean he’s not thinking about you” would be a good way to think about this scenario.

The Drew Crew in summer clothes for a few eps 👀 …for…reasons….

Now, I recognize this probably won’t happen given the missing corpses cliffhanger (which sort of demands immediate attention) and the fact that Nick’s parents are going to be in town for a month (allowing him the ability to work through his trauma on screen and in Horseshoe Bay rather than in Florida).

Realistically, S4 will probably pick up immediately after S3. Its clear its going to revolve around the missing corpses as well as the artifact smuggling ring that was teased all throughout S3.

Related: Something I missed during the truth-serum scenes at the Long Night ball, but caught on a rewatch, was that Addy told Bess that the ore at the veil site was said to have healing powers (enough to heal the dead??). Also that the rich dude who was trying to get at the ore said he’d been collecting mystical artifacts for years… (note to writers- putting important plot information adjacent to romantic Nace content pretty much guarantees I’ll completely miss it on my first watch).

Anyway- the point is I don’t think a time jump will happen, but I still think it should! Haha.
