Hi, I'm EVO, a digital artist and NFT enthusiast from Curaçao.

Twitter appears to be self-imploding at the moment (thanks, Elon), so here I am, back on Tumblr... A humble crypto Twitter evacuee looking to build community on the best alternative social media platform for artists. Maybe that's a good thing. Tumblr was my jam back in the day, so let's have some fun while we're here.

A bit about myself I joined the Web3 space in January 2022 as a collector of NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. My first NFT was a 1/1 (unique edition) by fashion illustrator Viola Li. I loved the concepts of smart contract technology giving artists creative sovereignty over their work, and royalties, as well as the ability to show provenance (the full, on-chain history of an NFT). Soon thereafter, I became a holder of female-led PFP projects like Meta Angels, Eyes of Fashion, and World of Women (Galaxy).

I also became actively involved as an OG curator for The Hug, a curation and discovery platform for NFTs. I met a lot of incredible frens through the Hug (thanks to the founders Randi Zuckerberg and Debbie Soon!) who are all equally, if not more, passionate about empowering emerging artists and projects in the Web3 space. For a long time, it felt like home until the bear market set in, which is around the time I started minting my own 1/1 digital art NFTs.

My artistic journey Three, maybe four months ago I minted my first NFT on the Ethereum blockchain called "Lady Jade". Don't go looking for her on OpenSea because I burned my digital art pieces and moved them all over to the OBJKT marketplace on the Tezos blockchain within a matter of weeks. I made this decision because Tezos is the best blockchain for emerging artists and art forms; it is a counterculture movement to the commercialized vibe of Ethereum if you will. Transacting on Tezos will also cost you pennies on the dollar, compared to ETH where you can still lose much to put your work up for sale. It feels right to work on a chain that is efficient, easy to use, virtually scam-free, and complete with the most dedicated community of NFT artists and collectors in Web3, period.

Fast forward to this moment and I am what you would call a "multi-chain NFT artist", selling art on Tezos (for the culture) with occasional higher releases on Ethereum. My work includes original fashion photography taken over the years, digital art designed on Procreate, to AI art imagined by me and co-created with Midjourney (my newfound love and obsession).
