HEY! READ BEFORE SENDING IN AN ASK PLEASE!!

Hey everyone! Just a quick pinned post that explains the basic rules regarding asks and some other junk.

- You can roleplay as someone/something, just make sure to add a image! make sure the character that you're role-playing as doesn't have any sexual themes, racist themes, etc in their design! I am fine with somewhat suggestive clothing, but please refrain from role-playing as someone who's honkers are almost completely out, like where they look like they could just open air from one wrong move, so please be aware of the design if you were to roleplay as someone. (Also, make sure to add a picture of whoever you are role-playing as so I know how they look like, and if you don't, I won't draw your character you're role-playing as and will just answer it as I normally do, sorry!)

- PLEASE NO NSFW!! This askblog will contain absolutely NO NSFW! Keep your ask SFW please or I will not answer your ask and delete it.

- Please refrain from spamming the askbox! There will be times where I will not answer an ask and it can be for several reasons, but I will put down the basics. 1) Your ask was weird! 2) I may have forgotten about your ask (Sorry!) 3) Your ask didn't show up at all! (Double sorry!) 4) Your ask has said something that has already been answered. So please, refrain from spamming and be patient for an answer! (If you get one that is, please remember that!)

- Please be specific to who you're talking too If you send in an ask, please be specific on who you are talking to! If I can't figure out whoever you are asking, I will either not answer it or just answer myself! (I will most likely answer as myself but keep that in mind!) (NOTE: So far there are only two characters in the askblog, so don't worry to much about this until I finally add another character.)

- Please be patient with posts! I Do note that I struggle with finding motivation or inspiration with asks, so please bare with me and my dumb brain as we move forward! Forgot to mention that this askblog is only for practice and just for funsies, so if you wonder why the characters change so much whenever I post, do know that I'm just testing out new formats or even art styles!

That's pretty much it! This may be updated in the later future, but for now these are the rules for this askblog! If you cannot follow these rules I will delete your ask and continue answering others, but if you continue doing this I will sadly have to block you (I'm very sorry!) Here's what you can or can't do in this askblog, read carefully before asking.

You can: ✅

Ask a character a question: Ask them about anything you would like to know about them, it could be about their life, a specific topic, their friends, their feelings, anything.

Interact with them physically: Alongside your question, you can interact with a character such as giving them a pat on the shoulder, a hug or maybe a kiss. You name it. It could also be a negative interaction, like a slap. (u sure you wanna do that tho?)

Send them a gift: You can send them things like food, water, a plush, a stress toy, a pet maybe, etc.

Tell them something: Even if it's not a question, you can tell them what you wish. Maybe it's words of encouragement, an opinion about their behavior/experiences, your feelings about them, some scolding or an insult even.

Reblog chains: You can continue an ask or make a short story with reblog chains!

You can't: ❌

Nsfw: This one is kind of obvious, you can't ask something inappropriate. It doesn't have to be 100% family friendly (this comic is not) but don't go too far with it.

Repetitive/Overly simple asks: A "can I hug [char]" or "are you okay?"-like question is allowed but if you add something more to it. Very simple requests and asks might already been asked.

Something that goes against the plot: You can't make the characters do something that changes the plot. Like telling them to do something they refused to do/can't do in the comic itself. That also includes telling them something they don't know yet or killing them (you can hurt them yes but not kill them LMFAO)

Follow up asks: Don't make a full conversation with a character or reply to a past question in the inbox, it would clog it. Do that in reblog chains.

(This post is NOT in Sunny's POV. Future posts will continue as normal unless I specifically say so - as in, if you can't tell if it's me or Sunny, assume it's Sunny.)

Hello, I'm the moderator behind Faraway Sunshine/Ask Sunny From Omori. I realized I forgot anything like this in the intro for the sake of immersion so I thought I'd post about that here.

Nobody has actually asked me these questions, so I'm not going to lie and call this an FAQ, but I thought it was good information to put out there in that format.

So who are you anyway?

I'm just a fan of the game who enjoys creating things within fandoms and thinks the blog will be a bunch of fun :) I am a minor, so please keep messages appropriate as such. I also use He/Him pronouns, and I'm neurodivergent (diagnosed AuDHD).

What's with the timestamps?

In my personal headcanon of Omori, the game takes place June 2000. I thought it'd be fun to make this blog 'live'; as in, for "Sunny", the times he answers the asks are the same days and times as he is answering in real life. For instance, if I upload a Sunny post on 2 August 2024, it'd have taken place in Sunny's world on 2 August 2000.

The timestamps help me keep track, as I also live on the other side of the international date line as the place I headcanon Sunny living in.

What's with the outdated language?

In trying to keep it accurate to 2000, I might use some outdated terms regarding certain medical and mental health topics to reflect the times.

That being said, I am being careful and I do not plan to utilize slurs or offensive language that I, personally, cannot reclaim (even if Sunny himself in theory can). I probably won't use any at all, to be safe.

Please let me know if I have been offensive so I can edit or take down the post. I don't want to hurt anyone.

Is there shipping planned?

At this point, not directly, everyone needs more therapy first. Feel free to pry at Sunny's feelings, tease, or similar if it doesn't veer into explicit territory.

This may change in future, just to be clear, as I'm not fully sure about the direction. But I don't want the primary focus to become shipping, ever.

Any rules for asks?

Keep it SFW (some swears permitted).

No slurs or hate speech/bashing towards anyone.

Keep in mind that this blog takes place in the Good version of the Sunny ending (though Sunny may have awareness of what could have happened, where his thoughts could have led, and unexplored sections of Headspace).

If your ask isn't answered, it may be that I am saving it or spending time on a response. Please don't spam.

Don't worry about if a question has been asked before, as time passes Sunny may even have a different response!
