I remember I was looking at how they concieved rin and they said since katherine is "cool" and catherine is "hot", qatherine would be "cute"... well I already designated Noah as Katherine bc he can be cool... when hes not a dick also megane ❤. Raouls pink hair is more Rincoded + he can be sweet when he wants and Alan has had numerous relationships so hes more Catherinecoded buttttt. Raouls more of a crazy bitch like catherine and Alan is the sweetest out of all of them so he's more Rin...

PSA!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR DOG TO K-9 DIRECTION IN ARLINGTON, TX!!!

Imagine honeymooning in Paris and finding out (with the support and assistance of close friends ONLY) that your dog trainer/sitter killed your healthy and happy 3 y/o Bernedoodle (named Brooklyn) by leaving him locked in a car for over an hour in the SCORCHING Texas heat, and then misleading and lying to you about the well-being of your dog for an entire week after!! The trainer even tried to have their Good Boy cremated before they were (finally) made aware of his suspicious death to cover up his negligence while they were gone. The stuff of nightmares.

DO NOT SEND YOUR DOG TO K-9 DIRECTION IN ARLINGTON, TX. What Alan Brown (owner and operator of K-9 Direction) did to this Good Boy and his family is CRUEL AND CRIMINAL, and it’s apparently NOT the first time.

Please read Good Boy Brooklyn’s story and share with every dog lover you know in the area so that another family would not have to endure such heartbreak. This coward should never be allowed to “care” for another animal again and MUST be brought to justice. #JusticeForBrooklyn

Private Romeo (2011) directed by Alan Brown

The characters of Private Romeo, are not entirely Shakespeare’s creations, but young men in a military school who are assigned to read the play in class. However, after the bell rings the story spills out into their lives and gives them a literal script for how to express their feelings. Fortunately, these cadets do not die when the characters they are identified with are killed. Rather than being stabbed, Private Romeo's Mercutio, Josh (Hale Appleman), is sucker-punched during the "fatal brawl." Afterward Josh stands in front of a mirror. In this moment of literal and figurative reflection, Josh looks at the bruise under his ribs that would have been Mercutio's "mortal hurt" in the unfiltered play. His skin is unbroken, but the evidence of the blood beneath it is undeniable.

With this scene, this adaption grants Josh something his classical counterpart is never allowed-- a moment of solitary introspection. In the mirror Josh confronts himself-- his own vulnerability and what he truly feels. If the quiet and stillness of the scene did not feel irreproachable, it would feel as though Josh might begin a soliloquy-- but perhaps Hamlet's "O, that this too too solid flesh would melt" rather than something from Romeo and Juliet. This scene allows for a window into who Mercutio is outside of the narrative of a 400-year-old heterosexual love story that features but is not focused on him. As a person who loves Romeo and Juliet, especially Mercutio, and who has learned so much about myself and relationships because of this play-- this scene is a gift.

In the audio commentary, director Alan Brown said that originally this scene took place towards the end of film. This would have been shortly before Carlos comes into the room and struggles to wrap his cast that covers his own injury received during the fight. Josh then walks over to Carlos and gently helps him-- culminating their arcs. However, in the plotting of the final film, Josh does not entirely glean a sense of self-knowledge from the mirror scene. He still harasses and threatens Glenn. Though I would have preferred for the sake of Josh's arc that this scene had remained towards the end, I love that this scene exists at all. After the whiplash pivot from romance to tragedy, the film's viewers can process how Romeo's accusation, "He jests at scars that never felt a wound" heartbreakingly contrasts with Mercutio's declaration, "I am hurt." Having just experienced a kind of death, there is the unspoken question of how Josh will now go on living.

Sometimes I pause before suggesting Private Romeo to people who might not respect or appreciate its concept, but this scene is the reason I will always recommend it to anyone who has an interest in Shakespeare.

” In the summer of 1958, at an end-of-term party on the top floor of the college, Stuart met a first-year student of fashion design, Susan Williams: ‘I was very shy and so was Stuart, but we both loved dancing and he spent the evening teaching me to jive. When I said I had to leave to catch my train, he came downstairs with me and then asked if he could kiss me. We were both pretty nervous but I said he could - and so he did! Three weeks later, at another college party, Susan took his advice; and for the next five or six months she and Stuart were almost inseparable. He was still a devoted Elvis fan: ‘He had the “Teddy Bear” single and we played it all the time. In fact, I can’t remember him playing anything else.’”

“Susan remembers that his room in the Percy Street flat was permanently full of easels ‘borrowed’ from the college. She also recalls that he often worried about the ease and frequency with which he adopted others’ painting styles and ‘tricks’. His determination to dress stylishly was evidently undiminshed by his very limited budget: ‘I went round Lewis’s department store with him once in the search for red underpants - which were very hard to find in those days! His socks had to be red, too. And he had a pink striped jeans, which he used to wear with a short black T-shirt.’”

I realized that Alan Brown from the game MazM Hyde and seek has somethings in common with Charlie Bucket.

Both of them come from a poor family, and both of them would love to have some chocolate (Alan wanting to eat it by himself but would rather share it with his family and chew on tea leaves, and Charlie... everyone knows his story).

I don't know if I'm stupid and everyone already knew this, or smart and the first one to catch up on this.

"No it's fine! I'm not complaining-! How can I not smile when you're so kind to me today? Thank you, thank you! Please sit down and eat with me for a while! If you'd like that is- ah I'm sure you must be busy too! But there's nothing I can do to express my gratitude!"
