alan tudyk is just every background character that would be a recycled model. daniel exhausts his dialogue options and alan just repeats himself like four times. daniel walks away and someone else asks alan a question and he repeats himself again and is like 'wait you're someone else, hang on' and starts his dialogue tree over in the background

Andrew Koji plays sheik and Kristen Schaal claims he was her the whole time and Daniel's like, 'no it definitely wasn't' and she's like 'yeah it was, you just didn't recognize me because i put my hair up. i'm very clever.'

The Great Deku Tree is a puppet voiced by Sir Ian McKellan. Patrick Stewart plays Kepora Gebora. While Ian is trying to impart the legend, Patrick keeps interrupting him with corrections until the Deku tree up and dies in protest. Patrick takes this as a win. Daniel is horrified.

Will Ferrel plays the King of Hyrule. I have no guidance for this one it just feels right.

Kepora Gebora turns into Rauru and Rauru is played by Christopher Walken

Kumaildorf is just trying to get a teensy bit of world domination, as a treat, is that so much to ask

Next month is the annual exhibitor showcase Cinemacon where movie studios tout their wares for the very anxious theater owners.

It has already been announced that Sony is sitting this year out, so no info on VENOM 3: THE LAST DANCE, to be released October 25, 2024.

While I assume there will be some changes to the lineup, so far it is shaping up to be:

OPENING DAY: International Day features a screening of Universal 80s series remake THE FALL GUY starring Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Hannah Waddingham and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (who has said in a recent interview that it is a small role) ; directed by David Leitch (BULLET TRAIN, DEADPOOL 2)

DAY ONE: WB pulls up with their presentation "The Big Picture". It will be the first Cinemacon for James Gunn in his position as Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DC Studios.

I expect a song and dance from Gunn about how awesome sauce the new DC film universe will be

At long last the BALLERINA has pliete into the spotlight. This JOHN WICK spinoff stars Ana De Armas, with Anjelica Huston reprising her role from JOHN WICK 2. It's direct by Len Wiseman who directed the UNDERWORLD films starring his ex-wife Kate Beckinsale.

BORDERLANDS, an action-comedy based on the game, brought to the screen by Eli Roth. Starring Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, Haley Bennett and Édgar Ramírez, amongst others.

and WHITE BIRD, which is in the same universe as the excellent children geared film WONDER. It was due to come out in 2023 but was pushed back due to the actors strike.

UNIVERSAL / FOCUS FEATURES: I suspect teases for Dev Patel's directorial debut MONKEY MAN. The film was originally slated to go to Netflix but Jordan Peele, under his Monkey Paw shingle, bought it and took it to Universal so it could have a theatrical release. *Granted, Netflix does a theatrical release for most of their films in certain markets, but I get Peele's rationale.

Their Monsters Universe theatrical idea didn't work, but Universal has realized there is more than one way to skin a cat. They are creating a Universal Monsters themed area at their parks and their monster/horror film ABIGAIL is a re-imaging of DRACULA'S DAUGHTER. It stars Alisha Weir, Melissa Barrera and Dan Stevens and features Angus Cloud in one of his last roles.

THE FALL GUY most definitely will have a place. Same with THE BIKERIDERS (with Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Jodie Comer, Norman Reedus, Mike Faist, etc.), which was a 20th Century (Disney owned) Film, and even though it was the first major film out the gate ahead of Oscars/Golden Globes' FYC season with a screening and Q&A held in L.A., the studio purposely stalled the engine and towed it off their schedule. It will now be distributed by Focus Features in the U.S., and Universal, internationally.

Other possible teases? DESPICABLE ME 4, TWISTERS, the standalone sequel to the 90s film TWISTERS

Reverse Engineering the Gender Envy Bracket Seeding

I am very impressed by how accurate the BL brackets organizer's seeding has been so far! I reverse engineered the two seeded tournaments ('cause i'm a procrastinating dork), and in both the 1st seed won, the semifinals was between 1 and 2, and the bottom 16 lost in the first round. Otherwise it wasn't perfect (because that would be no fun) but it was pretty close!

I was inspired by their answer to this ask about how they did the seeding, and extrapolated the order from these brackets.

Below the cut is the seeding for Gender Envy, so you can see what it looks like. (Assuming I ordered them correctly!) The Best Kiss seeding (as reverse engineered by me) is in this post.

This tournament seemed at first to have less accurate seeding, because there were more upsets in the last four rounds, but the numbers shake out about the same. Congratulations to Tankhun for beating two higher seeded opponents, first Win (Between Us) and then Ink (Bad Buddy)! He's the only one to do so in either seeded tournament.

Of the 64 candidates, 9 did better than expected and 9 did worse, so 72% did exactly as expected every round. In 69% of the gender envy match-ups, the higher seed won. The Final 16 corresponded exactly to the first 16 seeds, and the bottom 16 all lost in the first round. The biggest upset, in terms of a difference of 25 positions in seeding, was 45th seed Alan (Moonlight Chicken) beating 20th seed Khai (Theory of Love). All other upsets had a position difference of 13 or less.

Top 5 films released so far this year

Here are my top 5 films released this year on either streaming or cinema release.

I have tried to foreground less obvious choices. As I enter the cinema I often enter a state of trance where I can fully immerse myself in the spectacle. My brain seems to switch to “wide open” mode where I feel a heightened emotional connection with the film. At home I try to recreate this by turning off all lights setting up my Monitor BX2 speakers and turning off my phone for the duration. Here are 5 films…my favourites so far for this year for Utter Sorcery my blog…

1. Perfect Days (Wim Wenders)…this extremely mellow and beautiful film portrays life as many of us live but without attaining the levels of zen like acceptance and calm Koji Yakusho manages in the course of the film. It’s beautifully shot and composed and the pacing is elegant too. A wonderful film and a way of life too. One for the collection.

2. All Of Us Strangers (Andrew Haigh)…to discuss what this melancholic and romantic drama is actually about maybe too much of a spoiler. However it boasts very astute and moving performances by Andrew Scott and Paul Mescale. It has a dreamy poetic sensibility with stunning cinematography from Jamie Ramsay. The emotional climax is worth every minute.

3. Late Night With The Devil (Cameron Cairnes/ Colin Cairnes) An unerving and ingenious horror using as it’s mechanism a gameshow that goes……well no spoilers. It’s good to see David Dasmalchian in a lead role as he is excellent as the down on his luck gameshow host. It’s almost like a nightmare version of Alan Partridge’s “This Time” where we are left questioning what is in fact reality. Every moment of this film blew my mind.

4. Abigail (Radio Silence) I’m a big fan of Radio Silence aka Matt Betinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Their irreverent and blackly humorous take on the horror genre is invigorating and almost anarchic. A team of criminals capture a young girl and take her to a remote mansion to wait until the morning. Needless to say……no spoilers…try not to watch the trailers for this one as there’s lots of big surprises. A potential cross-over classic.

5. Civil War (Alex Garland) a very matter of fact…unsentimental and coldly observed look at what really could happen in USA. It’s brutality and bleakness is almost shrouded in dreamy mystery. Contextless we follow a brilliant Kirsten Dunst and Wagner Moura though a land of danger and horror as they traverse the country. I was particularly impressed by Cailee Spaeny a young and ambitious photographer. This is close to the bone. And a devastating watch.

ʙʀᴀᴠᴇ ɴᴇᴡ ᴏʟʏᴍᴘᴜꜱ : ᴀ 21+ ᴍᴏᴅᴇʀɴ ɢʀᴇᴇᴋ ᴍʏᴛʜᴏʟᴏɢʏ ᴅɪꜱᴄᴏʀᴅ ʀᴏʟᴇᴘʟᴀʏ. athens, new york: an island city, all trees and marble, glass and steel and highrises set against an ocean skyline. bustling and loud, crowded, but not without a bizarre sense that it must have sprung up overnight, somehow, when surely it must have always been here, no? on a clear night, you might even be able to see the lights of its more famous cousin, new york city, across the water…if you squint hard enough. it may not get as much attention as the shiny apple across the hudson, but those not so blinded by the lights must certainly have been coming here for years. is there something in the water here, too? no one leaves, not in any meaningful way anyway. feels like it has a special way of pulling you back in, if you try. they, that is anyone who was anyone or paid even an iota of attention to the evening news, called him the minotaur. the media does love a catchy nom de guerre, doesn’t it? sells newspapers like hotcakes in the morning. ambrosia, whether it’s the latest designer drug trend or the latest pestilence sweeping the streets of athens, just depends on how tightly you clutch your pearls on sundays. must infuriate the police, don’t it? that without fail, by the time they arrive to any crime scene at all, all that’s left is the heap of little cream-coloured business cards, the red lines of a labyrinthine logo more taunting than they are helpful. between an epidemic of pearlescent powder, neatly parceled out in small plastic baggies, a tide of crimson bull graffiti, casinos and bordellos and the nightlife (oh my!), it’s no small wonder they call this an atlantic sin city. it’s a vice eat dog world, ain’t it? and anyone who calls athens home is just living in it. powerless, with no memory of their past lives, what's a god gotta do to survive?

If we include characters who have been in multiple brackets, 171 were from Thailand, 23 were from Japan, 19 were from China, 16 were from Taiwan, and 27 were from South Korea

58 of all unique characters have been in more than one poll (opposed to 47 before). The most amount of times a characters has been in a bracket is 5, which includes Pat (Bad Buddy), Prapai (Love in the Air), and Jang Jaeyoung (Semantic Error).

The drama with the most amount of characters is now Kinnporsche: The Series with 8 characters (Kinn, Kim, Pete, Porsche, Porchay, Tankhun, Tay, and Vegas). The drama with the second most amount of characters is Not Me: The Series with 7 characters (Black, Dan, Eugene, Sean, Todd, White, and Yok)

Gun Attaphan still has the most characters (3) (Black, White, Third), but First Kanaphan has now joined him with 3 characters as well (Akk, Alan, Yok). *that's based on what I've read in the propaganda and the tags, I'm not 100% certain if it's correct as I haven't gotten to watch either drama yet

Here Are The Winners Of The 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards

The 27th annual D.I.C.E. Awards took place yesterday. While it doesn’t have the mainstream flashiness of the Game Awards, D.I.C.E. is a more industry-focused (and arguably more prestigious) event that honors the best games and creators of the last year. It is hosted and judged by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), along with votes from over 30,000 industry experts, developers, and studios. 

You can view the full list of nominees here. The big winners were Baldur’s Gate 3, which won Game of the Year, among other accolades, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which walked away with six awards. Additionally, legendary Nintendo composer Koji Kondo was inducted into the AIAS Hall of Fame during the ceremony. Osnovni program za učitelja traje 6 mjeseci kroz koje vas aktivno pratim plus dodatnih 6 mjeseci podrške. Prva tri mjeseca se čujemo jednom tjedno, iduća tri jednom u dva tjedna, a narednih 6 mjeseci jednom mjesečno, osim ako se u određenom razdoblju pokaže potreba za intenzivnijim kontaktom. Potrebno je da prije početka nađete nekoliko “pokusnih kunića” koji su ozbiljno zainteresirani, posvećeni i s kojima ćete raditi bez naplate, s kojima ćete učiti i ispeći zanat 🙂

U svojoj potjeri za najboljim Wienerschnitzlom, danas sam, pročitavši jedan članak u Gastronomskom glasniku Austrije, potpuno spontano završio u Restoranu značajnog imena – Hannibal. Zanimljivo je da je restoran preuređena jedna od postaja nekad vrlo popularne “južne linije” (južno od Dunava) kojom je još sredinom 19. stoljeća saobraćala konjska željeznica, na relaciji Linz – Gmunden.
