Surprisingly, I think Daena would be a okay stepmom to Aerys's kid(s) with Rhea.

Some reasons:

1. She knows if she wasn't, Aerys would never forgive her.

2. F&B doesn't mention Daemon being mean to the Strong boys, and so Daena (who seems to be, at least, a little bit better than Daemon as a person) wouldn't be mean to her own stepkids either.

3. She would focus on them being her Aerys's kids rather than being Rhea's as well, so let their similarities endear them to her.

4. I think Daena would love to replace Rhea's place in her kids hearts (Own the Bronze Bitch by being a good mother figure to her kids 💯)

5. Daena would probably see how the shitshow with Alicent's behavior with Leonyra and how it infuriates Aerys and she would steer clear from acting anything like the Green Queen.

So-So she hates the older two (Hubert & Jasper) because a) boys that she only had one of b) they’re older than Baelon by like 10 years so she’s afraid of what could happen there if she dies. however with Aemma & Hera she does her best to be kind and a proper mother to them.

Rhea actually likes Visenya even though she and Daena share a lot of traits Visenya is incredibly respectful of her roll as Lady Royce and looks up to her because of it. Daenys is fine but she’s Aerys’s baby to be honest. and Baelon is Daena’s.

Hubert & Jasper knew growing up that one of them (Jasper) would marry Jeyne and secure her position and Hubert would claim the Royce lands so they really don’t care for Daena’s opinion and loathing/apathy in their direction.

it’s a very mixed bag with a ton of double standards as is norm for westeros. ʕ⁎̯͡⁎ʔ༄
