a/n - second part!!! sorry for the cliffhanger that’s my favourite thing to do NOBODY COME AT ME. maybe third part/epilogue?? who knows. love y’all
The instrumental music that poured from the live band on the elevated stage came to a close, you and Spencer hovering on the opposite side of the expansive floors, discreetly keeping an eye on two large kitchen doors. The room erupted in applause, which you joined into, for the band, the man you assumed to be the main musician stood and bent at the hips with a sly smile - he knew he was good. The room quieted down to a small chatter from the abundance of people that filled the room. Women with large hats, velvet gloves, and bright lips cornered tall men in grey suits (or the other way around) and laughed like they’d known each other for many years. Men with peppering beards whispered to each other before letting out howls and pointing towards women who were not their wives. The wives stood silent.
Spencer cleared his throat, breaking you out of your trance, “He’s been in there for around 10 minutes now. I’m gonna call it in, in case they’ve already got the tracker on him.”
You nodded with a tight lipped smile, still recovering from the rollercoaster of emotions that dancing with Spencer had put you through. He glanced at you once more before holding down a button on his cuff and speaking out loud. You nodded along, in case anyone was watching - and also as a kind of self-soothing motion.
You didn’t drink - well, not often. So when a different waiter came up to you both every 10 minutes asking if you’d like a variety of alcohol, you had to kindly decline each time. And each time you became more irritated. People laughed loudly, people danced in quick blurs, people came up to you both and stared at your dress for a little too long.
Thankfully, Spencer took your hand (you’re still in love after all) and nodded with a smile that almost made you forget you were on a mission.
The two of you escaped onto a balcony with a cold breeze accompanying the faster music that both of you wanted to avoid. Your night was already over, just as it started. One dance. You scolded yourself for wanting more, a longer night, for Webley to continue manipulating people. But you’ve done your job, you’ve completed your mission, and now you have to go home and act like all of it never happened.
“Great job, the officers have been notified and we’ve got a tracker on him now. You two can leave whenever-“
“I think we’ll stay for a bit.” Spencer spoke up, and it shocked you. It must’ve shocked Morgan too as the line went dead quiet. “Right, Y/n?” He gulped and eyed you with pleads. His tie was slightly askew, the wind flapping his jacket lightly, his eyes reflecting the stars that now hung high in the sky.
“Y-yeah. This party’s actually…” You looked over the over-crowded floor, to your red and sore feet, to the bad alcohol standing on the waiter's trays. But then you looked over to Spencer. His eyes, his hair, his small smile, his red tie. “The party’s actually not that bad.” You say with a smile.
“Okay… don’t stay for too long. We don’t want everyone to be hung over for a flight home tomorrow.”
The balcony was made of white concrete pillars and marble floors, sconces of warm lights and vines of ivy that wrapped around the pillars and balcony like waves of seaweed. It was beautiful, just like the rest of the establishment, it was unfortunate its main use was to take advantage of innocent people. But you weren’t out there to think about that - at least that’s what you assumed. Spencer wouldn’t want to stay to talk about trafficking or crimes surely.
In that moment, even after watching his small smile of excitement that you agreed to stay with him, all you wanted to do was kick off your shoes and take a goddamn breath.
You walked over to the parapet of the balcony and was glad to see the top was a flat slab of concrete, just wide enough for you to pull yourself up and sit down.
You sighed in relief, taking off your heels and letting them fall onto the shiny marble.
Spencer followed your movements, standing next to you and looking out onto the view. City lights and stars blended in with each other from this angle.
“Are you okay?” He asked gently.
You smile, “That’s the third time you’ve asked me tonight. Do I look troubled?”
He stood for a moment before turning his head towards you, his hair sweeping across his eyebrows in the breeze. “You look like you’d rather be anywhere else.”
“Was it really that obvious?”
“To me, yes… I think that if I didn’t pretend to enjoy tonight people would’ve been suspicious of us.”
You frown slightly, “You didn’t enjoy the night?”
“I didn’t enjoy the reason, nor the location. I enjoyed the people though.” He sends you a smile that makes your heart flutter and your cheeks redden. You hope he doesn’t see it in the dim lighting.
Inside, the dance finishes and people clap, and you do too. Spencer glances at your hands and smirks slightly.
“You don’t think they’re suspicious now? We danced once, and now we’re out here watching them like weirdos.”
Spencer turned to lean on the balcony and look into the ballroom, shrugging.
“We’re two young people in love,” he turned to look at you, eyes warm and deep, “alone time is what we need.”
You bit the inside of your lip and stared at Spencer. His suit, his matching (skewed) tie, his hair and his eyes. He did the same to you, before gulping and looking down at the floor.
He bent and picked up your shoes, turning them in his hands and observing.
“These are too small for you.”
You laugh at the obvious fact, “They’re JJ’s. She’s got the tiniest feet I’ve ever seen.”
“You’re only one size above her.”
“She wears high heels much more often than I do.”
“You swap between sneakers and converse. You’ve only bought new shoes two times since I’ve known you. This is the second time I’ve seen you wear heels, and even then they were practically ballet shoes.” He smiled to himself like it was an inside joke.
“Oh…” You looked down at your feet and realised he was exactly right, “I’m surprised you’re not wearing your black converse right now.”
“Morgan didn’t let me. He said he was pressured to make me look good by all the girls.” He lifted a finger and turned fully towards you, “Did you know that sleeve buttons on suits were created to help doctors who worked in the war keep their sleeves up? Now, they’re a sign of intelligence and wealth. Also, a few weeks ago, you called me a grabologist because of my collection of ties, but did you know that the largest collection of suit ties is owned by a New Zealander woman called Irene Sparks. Now, I think I’d like to oppose that not with my own collection, but with Morgans.”
You smile at the memories of the girls dressing you up, fueling the sisterhood that the childhood version of you missed out on. You thought about Morgan, Hotch and maybe Rossi, and how they were probably dressing him up as well. It was truly a found family, something that you felt you belonged to.
They knew your habits, they knew when you were lying, they knew a good portion of your past. And you knew all the same for the rest of them.
But Spencer?
Mentally, without realising, you had been creating essays for him since the day you met him. You made journal entries for everyone else, but for Spencer it was books on books of mental notes and facts and aspects of him and his life that you kept in the back of your mind, ready at any point to bring out and use.
Why he wears mismatched socks, why he likes purple, why he can’t handle too many people talking at once, why he feels uncomfortable at hospitals, why he hasn’t contacted his father in years. And he knew no doubt even more about you. He had a talent for knowing your emotions and feelings like no one else could, and it made your heart palpitate every time he did it.
“I mean, you’ve seen my collection of ties but jeez, you’d think a guy who mainly wears t-shirts would keep his collection small. You’d like one of his, it's a green that matches that bedside table you painted once. Like those socks you got me last Christmas. But anyways, he somehow had a perfect red to match your… dress. Which by the way, I noticed a lot of people looking at you - and I don’t blame them. I think you look, um, I think you look incredible.” His rambling quietened down for a moment as he tried to avoid eye-contact with you, before he cleared his throat and continued on with his rambling (which mixed with compliments every second sentence).
And suddenly, you realised this was all an excuse. You were in denial, so badly, that you thought of him as a subject of your devotion without stepping back and seeing the real picture.
“Spencer…” You cut him off and he looked up with big eyes, surprised you spoke up. You were the only person that let him ramble, it may have been the only time you stopped him.
“Wh- You wanna go home?” He saw your eyes, you looked in pain, in shock, in…
“No, Spencer, I… Um.” You pressed your lips together and looked down - were you really going to say this? Were you really going to admit you loved the man in front of you without any evidence that he felt the same way? He was your coworker, your best friend. Everything could be ruined in just a few words. Suddenly, you wanted to take your train of thoughts back, to let him continue on with his rambling - it always calmed you down anyways.
Suddenly, his palm was held out in front of you with a small mint in the middle.
You looked up at him and his worried but genuine smile.
“Here,” he said softly.
You took the mint in your hand and simply stared at it. To be loved, is to be known.
“Um, Spencer. I…” His eyes were wanting, curious, they were so goddamn beautiful, “I… I love you.”
His mouth gaped slightly and his cheeks reddened. Spencer gulped and fiddled with his fingers before chuckling nervously, “I was supposed to say it first.”
“What?”
“I was supposed to say I love you first.”
You hopped down from the concrete railing, dress falling to cover your shins again. “I can take it back if you want.” You responded quickly.
“No, no don’t take it back, even if you did I don’t think I could mentally accept that you had taken it back.”
You covered your mouth with your hand and looked up at him in shock, “So you-”
“I love you, too.” He nodded and took your hands from your mouth, holding them in his, “I have since the third week you’ve worked with the BAU.”
“Oh, that’s great um…” You looked down at your intertwined hands and furrowed your eyebrows, “What do we do now?”
“We could go to the McDonalds that’s a 10 minutes walk away or, I could kiss you.” He stared into your glistening eyes and wanted to pinch himself to see if this was actually happening.
“I don’t-”
“You don’t like McDonalds, sorry, my brain is-”
“Just kiss me.” You replied exasperated.
“Okay.” He nodded and placed his hands on your waist.

Wait since Dev is/is turning into a full fairy does that mean he has/is going to get an anti-fairy? If he does that would actually help the others understand Dev so much more actually. I've seen people do anti-fairy versions of Dev before and a common trait between them is that his anti-fairy presents themselves as caring and nice but is actually mean to reflect how Dev often puts up a mask of uncaring and aggression, especially when he's hurt. Tbh I really love that masking part of Dev's personality and how it's often coupled with him wearing his sunglasses, cuz in the scenes where he's being more open he always either is looking over them or has them off. Anyway just really interested in how you would characterize an anti-fairy Dev if he had one!
Dev definitely has an anti-fairy! In fact, he's had an anti-fairy his whole life, he just hasn't known about it. After all, we've already seen from Peri and Irep that an anti-fairy doesn't develop as part of magical maturity, and instead when one fairy is born, the anti-fairy is born not long after.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that Dev isn't a typical fairy child. He didn't have parents, but was instead just formed from Fairy Council magic and a trinket from Dale. So unlike Irep, who was born to parents who were able to take care of him, Dev's anti-fairy (let's just call him Ved for simplicity's sake) just kind of. Appeared.
It's likely that Ved (along with any other gifted changeling anti-fairies, as I previously mentioned that the other kids who were imprisoned with Dale may have gotten one too) just showed up to the Anti-Fairy Council one day. Of course the Anti-Fairy Council would be suspicious, because fairies created in this fashion aren't an every day occurrence by any means. It wouldn't be hard for them to figure out that the Fairy Council wants to keep these new children a secret, as changelings are considered taboo, so I imagine they'd want to keep tabs on the children's anti-fairies, just in case they can use them to their advantage against the fairies some day.
I do love the idea of Ved being seemingly a big sweetheart, but in reality is just a massive jerk. While the Anti-Fairy Council probably kept an eye on him and any other similar kids, they most likely didn't actually do much to take care of them, meaning they would have pretty much had to fend for themselves. We saw from Irep that anti-fairy babies can be pretty smart and independent, so I don't think they would be fighting for their lives necessarily, but that doesn't mean life is easy in anyway either. I could see Ved being a sort of leader of this little ragtag group of anti-fairy misfits, who largely paint themselves as pitiful and helpless in order to lure suckers into a false sense of security before robbing them blind.
I'll have to try to draw a concept for Ved at some point! I can't right now, because I'm sitting in my car waiting for a doctor's appointment, lmao, but maybe sometime this week after work, or over the weekend!

Lesson Plans - Part 1
Summary: Biker Hal Carter and Sheriff Lee Bodecker compete for your affections. Who will you choose?
Warnings: Implied abuse, Mentions of a character's death, Teaching stress. Please let me know if I missed any!
Hal never thought he'd be living a semi-domestic life. As much as he'd once had the goal of getting a cushy office job and a pretty wife, joining the Snowpiercer biker gang had been life changing. He'd loved the camaraderie, yes, but his first time on a motorcycle was invigorating. He often compared it to flying and loved every moment of it.
But then his brother, Jefferson, called and told him his wife had passed away. With Curtis's blessing, Hal left the group and went to help Jefferson and his baby girl, Grace. He started working, unofficially, at Jefferson's coffee and tea shop so Jefferson could focus on taking care of Grace, and himself, without having to worry about the bills or groceries. He would also do fixes around the place, becoming a general handyman, so that Jefferson wouldn't have to sweat so many expenses.
It's been a few years and Hal's little family has reached a kind of normalcy. Jefferson still has his bad days, but Hal makes sure to help him through. Whether it's by giving him space and taking Grace for a walk or sitting with him and letting him go on about his late wife.
Hal was never sure he'd be one for settling down, but seeing how much love Jefferson still has for his wife makes him reconsider. Especially if it resulted in a baby as sweet and good as Grace. Hal flirts with pretty much every woman he sees but, between work and family, he just doesn't have time for dating. But he doesn't begrudge his brother and niece. He'd give the world for them. But now that Grace was going to be at school all day, maybe he'd have the time to start looking for something serious.
Lee often joked that he was "married to the job". The officers on his force would agree. The man was dedicated to his work, taking the role of "public servant" seriously. Whether it was taking care of people during an emergency, making sure people felt safe in their daily life, or taking down criminals.
Ever since he was a kid, Lee wanted nothing else but to be a sheriff. He worked his entire life towards that goal. His parents had hoped he'd set his goals elsewhere and tried to push him into a career that paid better and was a lot safer, but he wasn't having it. Lee was nothing if not driven.
The problem was, all he had in his life now was his job. He was grateful the people of the county continued to trust him and his record well enough to keep electing him. His competition always had an advantage on him in terms of being "family people". They always played at being relatable because they had spouses and children while all he had was his record. But apparently that was enough for the voters.
Still, there were a lot of lonely nights and poor eating. He never had time or energy to cook. Never had time or energy to put into a relationship. But this election cycle he was running unopposed. Maybe it would be a good time to start looking for fulfillment outside of work.
It's your first day on the job in a new town. You hated leaving your job in the city, there were so many good memories. Unfortunately, there were even more bad memories. Your ex-boyfriend, Colin, and his friend, Detective Diskant, made sure of it. Colin had been such a flirt, you should've seen the red flags, but he was so charming. At first. It didn't matter which officers you tried to report him to, Diskant made sure to intercept and nothing would happen.
So you packed up and moved out to the middle of nowhere. You had no savings left after your move, having spent every penny just getting the hell out. But you'd make do on a threadbare budget. You've done it before, pretty much every day since you started college. That's probably just how it will always be. Coupons and penny pinching forever.
But at least you can still have a good life. Starting over doesn't have to be a bad thing. You'll just focus on work, your students, and try your best to forget about men.

Yandere romantic hcs for Legoshi and Juno both fighting over a wolf darling please ^^
Sure! I haven't rewatched Beastars so I hope they're both accurate. I ran out of ideas for this near the end so I'm sorry it wasn't very intense or anticlimactic....
Yandere! Legoshi vs Juno with Wolf! Darling
Pairing: Romantic - Rivalry
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Possessive behavior, SFW Scent kink, Manipulation, Coercion, Stalking, Blood, Violence, Implied kidnapping, Forced relationship(s).
This is unnerving because, while you are a carnivore and the same species as them, the two can still take advantage of you.
For example, as a fellow wolf you'd think you can trust the two....
Legoshi may be socially awkward, but he's reliable.
Plus Juno is so sociable and nice!
Unfortunately, despite that, it doesn't seem like you can trust them in this....
Juno herself has been described as ambitious, manipulative, and jealous/possessive in canon.
This is shown in how she competes to be Beastar and her behavior towards Legoshi and Haru.
Legoshi is, surprisingly, more tame than Juno.
He's humble and polite, struggles socially, and tries to be gentle/patient.
Although, since he is still a wolf, he is capable of being imposing and assertive.
He doesn't like scaring people... yet his stature as a male wolf is naturally intimidating.
Out of the two, I feel Juno would be the one more forceful.
Legoshi spends a lot of his time trying to rationalize his feelings and comprehend them.
While Juno immediately thinks it's love at first sight and you must date.
There's a lot of manipulation in this rivalry.
The good thing is, you're not an herbivore.
Which should, in theory, put you on near equal footing with them as a wolf.
You see the two wolves during classes, in the hallways, during Biology Days...
You may even have drama club with them.
As a wolf you interact a lot and don't activate any sort of hunting instinct in them.
What you do ignite within them?
A need for companionship.
Juno used to feel such a way for Legoshi until she met you.
She loves your fur, your scent, your voice...
She loves it all!
It's funny, because the moment she finds a new crush?
Her old crush also shows signs of liking them.
Frustrating.
Wolves tend to be possessive of chosen mates.
So while Juno shows this a lot more, Legoshi's capable of it too.
You're close with them as friends and fellow wolves.
You even remember their scent and are capable of sensing them through that.
Which is why it unnerves you when you start sensing them more often than you should.
Juno is much more clingy, sociable, and touchy with you.
She's assertive and it seems like she's showing every animal around her that you two belong together.
It's like she's showing claim over you.
You notice and may try to distance yourself, but the other wolf follows you closely.
Why are you trying to avoid her?
Do you not like it when she holds you? Nuzzles you?
Don't you see her tail wagging when around you?
Legoshi is less into PDA....
He's shy around you and allows you your space and independence.
He's protective more than possessive, yet those desires still linger within his actions.
He blushes at close contact, stutters when speaking to you, and overall just likes to admire you from a distance.
He's the opposite of Juno... yet he feels jealous when he sees how Juno acts around you.
Legoshi can tell you aren't a big fan of Juno's clingy behavior.
Which he uses as an excuse to pull you away and distract you a bit.
Much to Juno's frustration.
Although, while Legoshi is protective and willing to help you away from Juno...
He can end up being suffocating too.
Legoshi is less manipulative and possessive than Juno at first.
Although, with how strong the other wolf is coming on, he may feel like he has to show claim over you.
It's no doubt in his instincts if he really does view you in a romantic way.
You probably don't even see either wolf in that kind of way.
Which is why it can be overwhelming when two wolves are suddenly not only trying to win you over... but compete.
They both act caring and attentive to you when it's just you and them alone.
Yet the moment the two are in a room with one another?
There's tension and glares.
Maybe a frustrated growl here or there.
Juno is the one who acts the most moody out of the two.
She's often arguing with Legoshi, blaming him for trying to sabotage her or how she just wants him to leave you and her alone.
Her heart is still recovering from their "break-up" (They were never together).
Now he's trying to take yours from her!?
Meanwhile Legoshi just wants to make sure you're okay and Juno isn't being too... much.
Legoshi's crush is gradual, so he starts just genuinely looking out for a fellow "pack member".
Although... Over time he wonders if he should pay attention to how his tail wags and how he blushes around you....
Would the two be violent with one another...?
No... I can't really see it.
Legoshi would want to physically hurt Juno.
Juno may threaten him, standing her ground and barking about how you're hers.
But she won't actually do anything... hopefully.
Legoshi is no doubt stronger than her as a male wolf, so she's cautious.
Even other wolves can sense the tension between these two.
Biology Day feels more stressful than it should be due to Juno and Legoshi avoiding one another.
Juno would try to spend more time with you by inviting you to gatherings or trips.
You don't seriously plan on spending all of your time in the dorms, right?
You'd rather do that than deal with their tension.
She'd drag you out to hang out with her, always having an arm around you as she walks.
Her tail would be wagging fast, while yours sways with insecurity.
Legoshi would be less forceful, merely offering for you to hang out with him... doing anything really.
Since he isn't as intense, you may actually go to him more often.
Right up until he admits he has feelings for you, another wolf, and asks if you'll be his?
He may be more considerate... but he's going to want this rivalry between him and Juno to end at some point.
One of them will have to claim you as theirs soon....
You don't seem at ease around Juno... but you're at ease around him, right?
Right?
It's worse when you're walking around the halls, only to catch sight or smell of them.
You know at least one wolf is watching you at all times.
As though they're waiting for the perfect move.
Kidnapping seems OOC for both of them... but hey...
Maybe one of them will trap you in their dorm so you have to make a decision?
This rivalry could go on for months.
It really pushes you and the two wolves to the brink.
You're aware the two stalk you.
You're aware they're pushy to date you because you're such a good looking and kind wolf...
Yet you wish they'd stop.
Even when you tell them you want nothing to do with either of them...
They only seem to press more.
Juno gets more possessive, Legoshi gets more protective...
You can't trust either of them anymore.
Plus, you may even grow more concerned when you start seeing blood on their fur.
With months of tension, the two may even fight more.
Wolves are territorial and violent when it comes to mates....
You can only hope the issue resolves soon.
Those wounds are beginning to concern you.
They can't hide the smell of blood from you.
Juno may be the one most likely to lock you in her dorm until you choose her.
Although, Legoshi may lure you to his dorm in an attempt to soothe you and protect you.
Both wolves are intense and only seem to have one goal in mind...
How long will it be before one of them snaps?
You may be a wolf, a carnivore just like them...
But between them you just feel like prey.

IT'S SCAR TIME BABAEYYYY HERE COME THE (head)CANONS
He's my favorite which means he suffers the most so this post is a little bit of a downer, not gonna lie. But there's silly stuff in there too I promise!!11!
Scar's full name is Scar Conn Goodtimes. You may be asking yourself: what kind of name is that? How is his middle name con? What kind of parent would do that to their child? WELL, the answer is BECAUSE I SAID SO. Idk I just thought it would be goofy if convex had the middle names "con" and "vex". Soooo yeah lol
As far as origins and backstory are concerned, Scar is half vex and half elf. His mother was a vex hybrid, and had two kids, Cub and Scar (I'll post about Cub tomorrow probably). They're technically half-brothers, but they don't really care enough to talk about the logistics of it. As far as they (and everyone else, atp) are concerned, they're just brothers. Plain and simple.
Scar and Cub grew up without their parents, and were primarily raised by their maternal grandmother, the only human in their family. She taught them anything she knew about their mother, their fathers, and their magic. Thus, Scar and Cub practiced with their vex magic until they were finally able to properly wield it. (Vex magic has many capabilities, especially among family members, but the primary way it manifests is by having a particular trait that it can amplify. Scar, for example, can amplify someone or something's strength.) Scar had a tougher time with it, and it often backfired on him. That, combined with him being incredibly accident-prone, is how he ended up suiting his name so well.
In his late teens, Scar sustained an injury that caused major nerve damage and hindered his ability to walk, but with his magic he was still able to walk with the help of mobility aids (such as canes and crutches, and after a few years, a wheelchair). He refused to believe that it was irreversible, and when Cub made him a set of magic-powered walking braces, he thought his problems were solved. But that is not how chronic pain/illness works, even in a world with magic. So, he still uses a variation of aids, but the braces have to be used sparingly, as they draw from his magic and tire him out more quickly. That's why he mostly uses them when he's HOTGUY YEAH THAT'S RIGHT THIS IS A SUPERHERO AU.
Hotguy was hired by King Ren to head the Royal Guard and protect the city (and the king) from "nefarious evildoers". Of course, he mostly uses it as an excuse to play superhero, to which Cub is unwittingly dragged into. He's Scar's "guy in the chair", and even though he mostly just complains about Scar taking unnecessary risks, they both know he loves it.
More fun facts:
Smells earthy, like grass & pine trees
Hybrid: elf & vex (mixed) ((I’m not projecting you are))
Street smart - Special knowledge of city layout, people-pleasing, manipulation tactics
Likes: coffee (only drinks black coffee on bad days, usually gets something sweet and fun, he's totally a pumpkin spice latte girly), bird-watching, movies, theme parks, cooking/baking
Dislikes: golf (he goes with Cub anyway), reading
Passions: justice/fairness, nature (landscaping, birds), Scarland
Habits/other details: skin-picks, eats water (with a spoon)
Active in his environment - takes advantage of being overlooked, sort of dejected/resigned to ableism against himself (but never others), not usually aggressive but might try to control situations in other ways, good at finding out information but doesn’t always think to do so
Special, plot-relevant skills: archery, charisma 500, magic = strength
Terrible sleep schedule, somehow a morning person
I love him dearly so I sometimes make bad things happen to him this is just the basic law of author projection <3
