As Alpha laid down the final plate, she took her leave which Kade immediately took notice of.
"Woah, I thought your fine lady friend was going to join us for dinner, but were those blue flames I saw coming outta her? She alright? If not, I can hose her down."
"Lady friend? You don't mean Alpha do you?"
"Alpha? Strange name, but I guess that's kinda hot."
"Hot? Alpha's no lady, she's our servo. A helper bot prototype, the first of her kind."
"Woah! So, what can she do?"
"Cleaning, fixing, cooking—"
"Nah, bruh, I mean really 𝘥𝘰."
"I don't think I underst—" but before Cam could finish his thought, a raucous had broken out at the other end of the table.
"If you're insinuating that I'm a drunk—" Anna started.
"No, of course not, no one is insinuating that at all, Anna." Dre tried to calm the situation.
"But couldn't she be a drunk, Mama, if she drinks a lot every day? How many did you have today Ms. Anna? One drink, two drinks, fifty drinks?"
"I—it was just, just one drink. They say you can have one, I had one is all. I'm a grown woman, mother, grandma. I just had one!"
"Soooo are we talking one cup or one bottle?" Millie prodded.
"Camille, hush." Andrea nudged her youngest daughter.
"Anna, we're not judging, no one is. Sometimes one drink on an empty stomach and with nerves involved it can—"
But then Anna broke down. "My Watcher, AM I DRUNK?"
There was no longer a one end of the table and the other end, the entire table came together and stood witness to Anna's breakdown.
"A drunk?! Which one of you fancy people just called my wife a drunk? She hasn't had a lick of alcohol all night! And now she's in tears?!"
"No one has called Anna a drunk! Except maybe Camille might've insinuated, and for that she will sincerely apologize because you, your wife, and Jai are guests in our home, and our family treats guests with the utmost respect, love, and care. Isn't that right, Camille?"
"All I did was ask questions, Mama. I didn't know it was wrong to be curious." Millie feigned innocence, but such an act would not work on Andrea.
"Camille." Dre said sternly in a tone all 4 children knew well.
"I guess I'm sorry Ms. Anna for asking if you were a sloppy drunk."
Dre let out a sigh. "I'm sorry, Anna. My children are usually much better behaved than this. If your family would rather leave now, we'd understand. But I do want to extend my deepest apologies"
With the option of leaving on the table, Kade shrugged at Anna. "Whadaya say, babe?"

Fic Idea- Murder She Wrote x 911
I'm on one of my many rewatches of the entire Murder She Wrote series. All the crossover ideas have started again.
Keeping Murder She Wrote mostly the same but just moving it up 30+ years.
During her time living in New York maybe Jessica helped catch an arsonist who destroyed a library or school. During that adventure she meets and becomes friends with the Strands.
She was unable to come to the wedding but sent a lovely gift.
Months pass and TK notices his mother-in-law is still struggling with grief. He wants to help but isn't sure how. He already feels like he isn't helping Carlos enough either.
Then he notices Andrea reading a JB Fletcher book. TK then discovers Jessica will be doing a book signing in El Paso in two weeks. He calls asking if she'd stop in Austin for a visit after. Explaining what happened just before his wedding.
Of course Jessica agrees and adds an Austin book signing to make her publisher happy. Being a widow after a long happy marriage Jessica is very equipped to be an understanding shoulder to Andrea.
Nobody is surprised how quickly they bond. Andrea ends up asking her to look at the case. Carlos is initially angry and against it. Conversation where both TK and Andrea tell Carlos how worried they are about his growing obsession with finding who killed Gabriel, including joining the Texas Rangers, changes his mind.
During the two weeks Jessica is visiting they do manage to solve the case with only one more additional body.

List 3 of your favorite sims from other simmers you enjoy and explain why (Send this to 10 other blogs 💖💖)
Thank you for the ask!
First off, I have Kyleigh and Elita from @helenofsimblr
Kyleigh's actions throughout the stories may have been problematic, but that makes her all the more real. Can't help but like her. And Elita is a certified badass.
Melody Pike and Andrea Fletcher from @obigem
These girls have been through a lot and I truly think they've come through their hurdles stronger than they were before.
Nadia Pierson from @storiesbyjes2g
She is a boss queen and no one better forget it. Especially not her kiddos! But for real, not everyone can become a better stepmother to a child than their own mother ever could be. And this lady did it.

Hii hope ya don’t mind but do you guys have any info on understudies/alternate casts in Rag Dolly?
we do!
each production of the show had slightly different casts, as some ensemble and minor characters were replaced between productions, but most of the major characters stayed the same! Ann, Andy, Baby, Camel, and Mommy/Witch were the same actors through every production (Ivy Austin, Scott Schafer, Carolyn Marble, Joel Aroeste, and Elizabeth Austin respectively). once the show was broadway-bound, about half the cast was replaced, likely because many of the actors in the original ESIPA productions were resident actors at ESIPA.
here's a history of the recasts of the major characters!
Marcella: Tricia Brooks (ESIPA 1984/85, Moscow 1986) -> Lisa Reiffel (Kennedy Center/Broadway 1986) (Tricia had aged out of the role, as she was 15 turning 16 in 1986. Lisa was 13 when she took on the role, just as Tricia had been when she first played the role in 1984)
Poppa: MacIntyre Dixon (ESIPA 1984) -> Gibby Brand (ESIPA 1985, Moscow 1986) -> Bob Morrisey (Kennedy Center/Broadway 1986)
Panda: Jeanne Vigliante (ESIPA 1984/85, Moscow 1986) -> Michelan Sisti (Kennedy Center/Broadway 1986)
General D: Paul Haggard (ESIPA 1984) -> David Schramm (ESIPA 1985, Moscow 1986) -> Leo Burmester (Kennedy Center/Broadway 1986) (Paul Haggard was battling cancer when he played General D, and unfortunately passed away less than 2 years after the 1984 ESIPA run)
Bat: Pamela Sousa (ESIPA 1984/85, Moscow 1986) -> Gail Benedict (Kennedy Center/Broadway 1986)
Wolf: Tom Pletto (ESIPA 1984/85, Moscow 1986) -> Gordon Weiss (Kennedy Center/Broadway 1986)
there was also a version of the show that was staged in 1983 that had a completely different script written by a different playwright and different songs by Joe Raposo (basically a completely different show). we don't have a full cast list, but we do know that Ivy Austin still played Ann, and Mark Baker (yes the Mark Baker from the movie) played Andy, with Scott Schafer as his understudy.
for the broadway production, the understudies are listed in the playbill (which is available online), and we have a scans of the kennedy center and moscow programs in our archives! the understudies are the same for broadway and kennedy center.
i'll put the lists under a cut, but most of the understudies are raggettes/ensemble.
the only one that i'd like to draw attention to is Gordon Weiss, who played Wolf, as he was the understudy for General D during the kennedy center and broadway runs. looking at Gordon's resume, it makes sense-- he's basically a professional understudy! but within the context of the show it makes a bit less sense lol. if Leo Burmester were to be out for a show, Gordon would be bumped up to General D, Joe Barrett would go on as Wolf, and Steve Owsley would leave the ensemble to take Joe's place as a doctor. there would be a lot less shuffling around of actors if General D's understudy were one of the doctors like previous productions.
Gordon would also be bit silly visually as General D because he is quite small. All of the General Ds were very tall, each over six feet. Gordon Weiss is not. in photos you can see Gordon only comes up to Leo's shoulder!
as far as we know, from our research and interviews with cast, none of the understudies ever had to go on.

"Cameron, why don't we just have Alphie serve. It'll be quicker that way." Dre suggested as Anna's state was becoming more and more obvious.
"Yes, of course. Alphie?" Cam motioned to Alpha who wasted not time slicing up the lamb leg and evenly distributing out roasted veg.
While Alpha served, the two families continued to converse among themselves. The conversation settled in a light tone as Cam pretended to understand all of Kade's jokes, but on the other end of the table, the conversation was starting in a more serious place.
"So, Anna, are you still doing OK?" Dre started cautiously.
"Oh, yesh, absoputely. Your home is sowy lovely."
"Right." Dre cleared her throat. "I only ask because, well." Dre lowered her voice so as not to draw attention. "You seem a little inebriated."
"Oh no. No, no, no, no, no. That's not right. My i-ron levels are vury reglar."
"Oh, no, not anemic, i𝘯𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥." That time Dre's words were loud enough for Millie to hear and her ears instantly perked.
"Did the Watcher just lay a golden egg in my lap?" Millie thought.
"Do you drink often?" Dre was careful to not have any judgment in her tone.
"Drink? I love drink! I drink water, milk, cola, lola, fola, tola." Anna giggled.
"I mean, well, spirits."
"Ghosts!"
"Liquor."
"Booze!" Anna gaspsed. "I barely touch tha stuff!"
"Is wicour a kinda ghost?" Droby asked.
"Mama said not ghost, so kind of monster?" Brick followed up.
"You're both wrong." Millie smirked. "Liquor is grown up people juice. Right, Mama? I heard people who drink lots become degenerate dopes who are a drain on our society."
"Now, Millie, that isn't true of everyone who drinks."
"Yes, but it's true of people who drink a lot. We can find out if Ms. Anna is one of those people by just asking her. So how much have you had to drink tonight, Ms. Anna?"
"Little girl, are you recusing me of something?"
