One exquisite component that marks the personality of an individual is his or her body weight. Accordingly there is a body image perception in the mind of an individual. According to the body image perception, about oneself one frames in his or her mind, the individual follows specific exercise and dietary modifications for weight management. Weight management may involve loosing weight, maintaining weight, or a desire to gain weight. Targets for managing weight may involve loosing weight, maintaining weight, or gaining weight. An individual’s target for weight management may be further assessed and justified by body composition analysis. Moreover body composition analysis helps to assess the nutritional status of an individual. The present research study was a cross sectional study conducted to assess the body composition of females 18-30 years, 147 in number with reference to Body mass Index (BMI), fat mass per cent, fat free mass per cent and total body water per cent. Also a comparison of the above parameters was done among different groups of subjects namely conscious for weight but not managing weight (CNM), making attempts to loose weight (group I), making attempts to maintain weight (group II) and making attempts to gain weight (group III). An ANNOVA test was conducted to assess the difference in these parameters both within and between groups. The results of the study revealed that the difference in BMI, fat mass per cent, fat free mass per cent was highly significant both within and between subjects of various groups, while the difference in body water per cent was found to be significant both within and between subjects of various groups. Besides this the fat mass per cent values were found to be highest in subjects of group I (loose weight), while the values were found to be lowest in subjects of group III (gain weight). The fat free mass per cent values were highest in subjects of group III (gain weight) while the values were found to be lowest among subjects of group I (loose weight). Body water is a part of fat free mass. This was confirmed since subjects in group III (gain weight) had highest quantity of total body water per cent. With reference to BMI, majority of the subjects in group I (Loose weight) fell in the Overweight or Obese category, while majority of the subjects (66.66%) in group III (gain weight) fell into the category of being Underweight. Majority of the subjects in the conscious not managing category (48.48%) and 73.08% subjects in group II (maintain weight) were classified as Normal. The assessment results for body composition parameters justify the weight management targets by subjects and confirm the appropriate body image perception in the individuals also.

Taguchi Method is a statistical approach to optimize the process parameters and improve the quality of components that are manufactured. The objective of this work is to illustrate the procedure adopted in using Taguchi Method to a drilling operation. The OA , S N ratio, and the ANOVA are employed to study the performance of drilling operation. In this analysis, three factors namely speed feed and depth of cut were considered. Accordingly, a suitable orthogonal array was selected and experiments were conducted. After conducting the experiments the MRR and Surface roughness was measured and Signal to Noise ratio was calculated. With the help of graphs, optimum values were obtained and confirmation experiments were carried out. These results were compared with the results of previous work . It reports that research relating to improving performance measures, optimizing the process parameters. The published paper also discusses the future trend of research work in the same area.

In a victory for Gulf Coast communities, the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled Tuesday that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) failed to conduct an adequate analysis of the climate and environmental justice impacts of two fracked gas export terminals proposed for the lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas.

The ruling comes in response to a legal challenge filed by the Sierra Club, the city of Port Isabel, and "Vecinos para el Bienestar de la Comunidad Costera," a group of local residents from Laguna Heights, to FERC’s November approval of the Rio Grande LNG and Texas LNG facilities, as well as the now-canceled Annova LNG facility.

If built, these gas export facilities would threaten local tourism and fishing industries and put low-income Latinx residents in nearby neighborhoods at disproportionate risk of health problems from dangerous air pollution.

Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) attorney Jennifer Richards said the appellate ruling sends a strong message to regulators that they must consider the social and environmental costs of such developments.

“Before the Commission can say these projects are in the public interest, it needs to evaluate their environmental justice impacts on communities like Laguna Heights, where residents lack adequate access to healthcare and rely on local fishing and tourism economies for their livelihood,” Richards said. “The Court’s decision today will hopefully prompt FERC to do just that.” TRLA represents the Laguna Heights community fighting the terminals.

I woke up in the middle of the night again. I spent the rest of the early morning in my own thoughts. Then after dawn, I reached out to people who could help me study. I needed to get out of my head and interact with other people. Even if it was only to read through Statistics together.

Made milk tea.

Read The Master and Margarita. It has become a comfort read for me at this point.

Ate breakfast.

Watched chubbyemu on Youtube. Thanks to @baransblue.

Wrote some things on the blog.

Studied Statistics together with my friends through voice call.

Took a break. Had a little nap.

Grabbed a snack - pudding and dates.

Finished studying Statistics with my friends. We went through all the materials and only had trouble understanding a few scattered bits of information, like Annova.

Recruited another brainiac into the impromptu team of study buddies.

Daydreamed a bit afterwards.

Watered my plants.

I kind of want to study Plant Physiology again now, but I'll leave that for another day.

It felt good to finish reading all the materials for tomorrow's final exam in just a few hours. All that's left to do is to review what I've learnt again tomorrow and get the exam over with already.

Quality of product and process are mainly depends upon their process parameters and their levels selected for design and manufacturing. So, it is important to decide optimal levels of process parameters to get desired output variables. The study focuses on finding out optimal levels of process parameters in Resistance Spot Welding RSW and its effect on tensile strength and nugget diameter. The Response Surface Methodology RSM is employed for multi objective optimization of responses for maximizing tensile strength and minimizing nugget diameter. Response optimizer with desirability function is found for optimum results of response surface methodology. Analysis of variance ANOVA is carried out for analyzing contribution of each process parameter on the performance of RSW.

In what Indigenous and environmental activists hailed as a testament to the power of grassroots organizing, a leading U.S. fossil fuel company on Monday announced the cancellation of a planned fracked natural gas terminal in southern Texas.

Reuters reports liquefied natural gas developer Annova LNG said it will immediately discontinue work on the Brownsville export terminal "due to changes in the global LNG market." The company's facility would have been capable of exporting 6.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of liquefied natural gas. The project was one of three proposed fracked natural gas terminals in the Rio Grande Valley.

"If built, Annova LNG would have destroyed wetlands, blocked a wildlife corridor threatening the survival of endangered wildlife, and put communities needlessly at risk," said the Sierra Club in a statement Monday.

"Today's victory is the result of six years of tireless efforts of the Rio Grande Valley communities in South Texas who have written comments, attended hearings, protested banks, and more to protect their health, their precious coastline, and the climate from Annova LNG's proposed fracked gas project," said Sierra Club Gulf Coast Campaign representative Bekah Hinojosa.

"No LNG export terminal has any place in our communities or our energy future, and today's news is a step in the right direction to putting an end to exporting fracked gas across the world," she added.
