Replacing physical buttons and controls with touchscreens also means removing accessibility features. Physical buttons can be textured or have Braille and can be located by touch and don't need to be pressed with a bare finger. Touchscreens usually require precise taps and hand-eye coordination for the same task.
Many point-of-sale machines now are essentially just a smartphone with a card reader attached and the interface. The control layout can change at a moment's notice and there are no physical boundaries between buttons. With a keypad-style machine, the buttons are always in the same place and can be located by touch, especially since the middle button has a raised ridge on it.
Buttons can also be located by touch without activating them, which enables a "locate then press" style of interaction which is not possible on touchscreens, where even light touches will register as presses and the buttons must be located visually rather than by touch.
When elevator or door controls are replaced by touch screens, will existing accessibility features be preserved, or will some people no longer be able to use those controls?
Who is allowed to control the physical world, and who is making that decision?

How to Use an Easy-To-Use Format to Create a ‘Microlearning Map’
Tumblr media
In the realm of modern education and training, the concept of microlearning has gained significant traction for its ability to deliver targeted knowledge in bite-sized chunks. However, effective implementation requires more than just breaking down content; it necessitates a strategic approach. One such approach involves creating a 'Microlearning Map,' a tool designed to streamline the process of structuring and delivering microlearning content in an easy-to-use format.
At its core, a Microlearning Map serves as a blueprint, guiding content creators through the development and organization of microlearning modules. By leveraging an easy-to-use format, creators can ensure that learners navigate through the material seamlessly, maximizing comprehension and retention.
To begin crafting a Microlearning Map, start by defining clear learning objectives. These objectives serve as the foundation upon which the microlearning modules will be built. By articulating what learners should know or be able to do after completing each module, creators can tailor content to meet specific learning outcomes.
Once learning objectives are established, the next step is to identify the key topics or concepts that align with each objective. Break down complex subjects into manageable units, ensuring that each module focuses on a single idea or skill. This segmentation is crucial for maintaining the microlearning format's effectiveness, as it allows learners to absorb information in digestible portions.
With topics identified, creators can then determine the most suitable delivery format for each module. While text-based content may suffice for some topics, others may benefit from multimedia elements such as videos, infographics, or interactive quizzes. By diversifying content formats, creators cater to different learning preferences and enhance engagement.
After selecting content formats, creators should outline the structure of each module. Start with a brief introduction to establish context and provide an overview of what learners can expect. Then, present the core content in a concise and structured manner, avoiding unnecessary detail or filler material. Finally, conclude each module with a summary or key takeaways to reinforce learning objectives.
As creators develop content for each module, it's essential to prioritize clarity and simplicity. Keep language straightforward and jargon-free, ensuring that learners can easily understand the material. Additionally, incorporate visual aids and examples to enhance comprehension and illustrate abstract concepts.
Once content creation is complete, creators can arrange modules into a cohesive Microlearning Map. Consider the logical flow of topics, arranging modules in a sequential order that facilitates progressive learning. Additionally, provide clear navigation options to allow learners to navigate between modules effortlessly.
As creators finalize the Microlearning Map, it's crucial to test its usability and effectiveness. Solicit feedback from learners or subject matter experts to identify any areas for improvement. Iteratively refine the map based on feedback, ensuring that it aligns with learners' needs and preferences.
With a well-crafted Microlearning Map in hand, creators can deploy microlearning modules with confidence, knowing that they provide a structured and effective learning experience. Whether used for employee training, educational courses, or skill development programs, the Microlearning Map serves as a versatile tool for delivering targeted knowledge in an easy-to-use format.
In conclusion, the adoption of microlearning methodologies continues to reshape the landscape of education and training. By embracing tools such as the Microlearning Map, creators can streamline the development and delivery of microlearning content, maximizing its impact and effectiveness. With its user-friendly format and structured approach, the Microlearning Map empowers creators to design engaging and impactful learning experiences for learners across diverse settings and industries.

i love when artists explicitly write/draw eddie and steve with very noticeable, maybe even deforming scars. i love when they dont fail to mention the repercussions the things they've been through have left on their bodies. because yes, we talk a lot about ptsd and horrible nightmares and all the psychoemotional issues, but we should totally talk more about the physical side of it.
eddie with a scar on his jaw that tugs when he smiles and aches after a long effusive rant. having to use mobility aides like a crutch or a walking stick because the muscles on his leg never fully recovered and the scars on his abdomen hurt if he tries to tighten his core too hard.
steve with awful migranes and early onset hearing loss and complex vision problems and slight trouble breathing because his head/face got fucked up one too many times. the scars on his back that got infected because no one gave them notice, that are now scars that twinge when he moves his arms and hurt after a day of running around with the kids. the scars on his abdomen that restrict his range of motion. that raspiness in his voice that never went away after a bat tried to crush his windpipe.
i don't know where i'm going with this i just... we constantly recognize their heroic deeds, but i think it's also important to remember that they are not heroes. they are just teenagers who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. they were doomed by the narrative, literally cannon fodder, and their bodies tell the history of that, and of how they're still here despite it all.

I was just now debating who should receive my therapy bills for the kiss scene in ep6...
Ofc there is David Tennant, full of desperation, grasping at straws. We cannot see his eyes, but we know damn well that they are watery and full of fear and awareness that this may be his last chance.
But then there is Michael Sheen whose conflicted attitude already prompted me to write a (not so) short analysis in my notes. Aziraphale whose yearning and longing for Crowley is so palpable, whose hands look for some sort of contact and embrace, whose pain we can see so clearly when he pushes Crowley away and whose entire body language is just filled with dilemmas, with antonyms, whose internal conflict is so tangible.
And then there is Neil, the mastermind. The one who is there pulling the strings. The one who made this scene a parallel of the scene from s1 where Crowley pushes Aziraphale to the wall, saying "I'm not nice", but this time he just wants him to understand, that Aziraphale is nice, more than nice, moreover that Crowley MAY BE nice, but they are just not fit for Heaven, they belong only in eachother. And the hurt after Aziraphale doesn't accept this unspoken but so clearly communicated argument...
In conclusion, they should just split it

Dc x dp 59
The nasty burger explosion goes off. The problem is Jack and Maddie put Vlad as their choice of guardian in the will.
Danny doesn’t manage to get away from Vlad quick enough. So he is stuck. Danny does manage to avoid the basement.
Vlad gets annoyed of Danny attempting to escape. All his current devices to restrict powers are temporary and need to be constantly re applied. So he comes up with a device that’s just cuts Danny completely off from his powers. Like the belt, just better and no shocking. In reality it basically doesn’t allow him to release his powers. Which is problematic for his core the power has no where to go.
Vlad thinks Danny had just accepted his fate and finally calmed down. Danny is just trying to keep his cool and not have his core explode or something.
They end up at a gala. Because of course they do. Regardless. Danny is in public.
It’s his time to act.
So while at the gala. He does what anyone who wants to get away would do. Danny manages to go up to you’ll never guess it. Bruce Wayne.
Going up to him asking him if he hypothetically punched him would he get kicked out. Just enough to hypothetically get away from a fruit loop trying to force him to be his son.
Obviously this leads to a punch and a getaway.
This then leads to a run in with a bat or bird. Someone gets to miss the last of the gala. By the end of the night Danny has full access to his powers and is away from Vlad.

I wish that the entirety of TSC by Cassandra Clare was more popular and well known. Don’t get me wrong, I know that it is an incredibly successful franchise and she has been hugely successful from them, but I hardly know anyone in my real life who loves those books like I do, or even know about them. Those who do know about the books only know it as “oh isn’t that that one series with the incest plot line?” and every time I hear that I want to SCREAAAAAAM because it’s SO much more than that and its so much more nuanced than that. sure it may be weird at times but I wish people could just see past surface level hate for it and give it a chance. These books are so lovely and well written, I just wish it got the same level of love as other series like ACOTAR or something. A series that also has weird ass moments sometimes but can still be well beloved.
