Akari was born in Japan to her mother, Keiko Himura, and her father, Aris Kokkinos

Her father was the son of two Amazon women who prayed for a child

He was raised in secret but eventually found and banished after riling up some horses

He traveled around the world and in Japan he hooked up with Keiko

Aris left the country without knowing his daughter

One night stand turned lifetime of responsibility

Keiko did not like responsibility

Keiko moved them to Los Angeles when Akari was 12 to make it big as a movie star

It was the 80’s

Keiko spent most of her partying and sleeping with strangers, sometimes inviting dangerous people into their home

Akari developed a deep resentment for her mother and had a deep fascination with Amazon culture

Although she disliked her mother she loved her Japanese heritage

Her mom was a hippie and she became a rebel

She did poorly in school, not on purpose, she was actually very smart, she just had some problems reading everything

She had dyslexia and was learning English, cut her some slack

She started underage drinking and doing drugs

She worked at the antique shop under their house, her mother’s fallback career

When she was 18, her boyfriend of 4 years cheated on her with her mom

Keiko was drunk and thought he was one of her conquests in the dark

The death of a red lantern just prior to this made her a prime candidate for a red power ring

She became a part of the red lantern corps

She dangled her ex off a bridge and dropped him

He survived

Barely

Akari couldn’t bring herself to hurt her mother, but knew something bad would happen if she ever saw her again

She flew off into space

Became fast friends with Guy Gardner

They had a lot of things in common

During a battle she locked eyes with one of the blue lanterns on the battlefield

A few battles and some flirty/threatening banter later and they were dating

His name was Hugo

Hugo Ricardo Ramires

Hugo was born in Flores, Azores, Portugal

His father was Aurélio Ramires and his mother was Maiatocal

Guess which one’s Atlantean

His dad was a biologist

He is the youngest of 8 children and uma filhinho da mamãe

He had 6 sisters and 1 brother

To be clear boy, girl, twin girls, triplet girls, Hugo

His oldest sister, Estela, was his best friend

Did not get along with his brother not for lack of trying

His other sisters doted on him too much and it got annoying

He passes for human better than any of them, but his mom made home a glamour charm so he could study in the states

He moved to the USA to attend NYU

He had always been shy, artistic, and soft spoken

He got pushed around a lot in New York

He dreamt of creating great things

Monuments of hope to stir people's hearts

Then he was expelled from NYU

He had never been very good at paying attention

Undiagnosed ADHD does that

His falling grades had caught up to him

His first actual relationship had fallen apart when he tried to explain to his girlfriend he was half-fish

He had gone to too many frat parties with his new American friends and developed a coke addiction and alcoholism

He lost his job

Life just didn’t feel like it was going anywhere

He considered ending it all

Giving up hope

Then he thought of his family, his dreams

Then it hit him

Literally the blue power ring smashed straight through his apartment window and hit him in the head

A strange, little, blue man stood floating outside his window and told him to put it on

He did as he was told and they journeyed to the planet Odym where he was inducted into the blue lantern corps

Because of necessity he was partnered with John Stewart, Green Lantern of Earth

During a battle his eyes locked with a red lantern’s

He felt a spark of hope in her eyes

A few battles later they were dating

A few years later they had their first child

Then they got married

Then their second and third children

Then their fourth

Life was going great for them

They had beautiful children

His art career was finally taking off and Akari was about to go pro in women’s boxing

He was cleansed of his coke addiction and so was Akari

They were slowly working on their alcoholism

Things were starting to look up

They’re deaths

Then they got called in leaving their children with their closest relative, Keiko

Akari only agreed to it under the assumption it would be a couple of days tops

Aya was 3 months old

They had both been summoned to stop a Reach invasion in sector 1132

Hugo died after being stabbed in the back by a Reach Scarab while attempting to save the people of the planet Arden

He just had time to close the cargo doors before the scarab could enter

Before either of them knew it the ship was already two sectors away

John Stewart along with Green Lantern Meeno Monak destroyed the Reach Battleships and easily apprehended the scarab

John carried Hugo’s body to nearby planet Z’nang where Akari was fighting more Reach ships side by side Green Lantern Remnant Nod and new Green Lantern Guy Gardner

Akari saw Hugo’s dead body and flew into a fit of rage

She killed every Reach member and every scarab on Z’nang

She took down the Reach Warship single handedly

Unfortunately her rage did not end with the Reach

The loss of her husband disappeared any cognitive thought from her being as she attempted to attack the people of Z’nang

Without hesitation Remnant Nod shot her with a bolt of green energy

Killing her instantly

The other two green lanterns had to hold back an enraged Guy Gardner shouting at the top of his lungs with grief over the loss of the woman he saw as his sister

He screamed about her family

Her life

John and Guy brought their bodies back to Earth and left the others to fight the last minor battle on Cygnus IV

On Earth they were shocked to discover the death of Ren after a car accident

John had an okay time telling Mateu

The kid was 14 and could handle it better

Guy told Noa and couldn’t help but bawl along with her

Kid just lost her twin brother and now her parents were just gone

The night of the funeral sparked something else

The death of three people birthed the new life of the youngest Star Sapphire and third Queen of Zamaron

Could you tell us a little about your characters?

Y E S !

but due to me having at least over a thousand characters I’ll just give a quick summary of the 25 I manage to dig up over 3 sketchbooks.

Y’all can pick and choose which of them interest yall or who you wanna hear more about!

Also because I’m extra, I made sketch icons for the 25 characters, info under the cut

I’ll talk a bit more about my actual Original Characters first, starting with

Aiko! Otherwise known as Echo

- A marked individual in a steampunk world that gets mixed with magic, because I like both of those things

- Echo runs an underground lab that does helps the underground world with replacing body parts, illegal surgeries etc etc

- Even though she marked, which puts a bounty on her head already, she is well respected by the community for not cheating for your money, stealing your cash, or shanking/killing you mid-surgery

- however, Echo does long for adventure and sometimes do get bored in the lab

oh yeah,, Echo like stealing eyeballs, so if you’re low on cash and wouldn’t mind losing an eye, you know who to call!!

Bonus:

Here’s Echo’s boring, undeveloped sidekick!! I don’t like her and I don’t know how to make her better. Yes, she doesn’t have a name.

here’s my god playboy that left “heaven” due to having an early mid-life crisis, I call him God boi cause;

- He goes by many names! 

tbh, he’s probably the closest character I have to being genderfluid/-neutral? I’m not sure,,

- The god has many powers, from lightning to shapeshifting

- The shapeshifting part allows him to change every part of himself, allowing him to change depending on his situation.

- God boyo, or originally Aristide, is obsessed with the idea of perfection. A god should be perfect, if a god is out of line, he is no god. 

- Same goes for him, which means whenever something is wrong with him, it affects him, extremely

However, leaving the land of gods to live among humans aren’t all perks

- Aris isn’t immune to diseases or injuries. In fact, he actually fell down and died on impact when he came to earth, being reborn into another child immediately.

- He doesn’t gain his memories back automatically tho!! He has to have a major shock to the brain in order for him to remember his previous lives

- Sometimes the shock isn’t enough either, when you have a thousand over lives, you won’t remember every single one of them. So forgotten lovers coming back to haunt because your brain hates you? That’s everyday for him!

Up next we got Ayeka Himura! A japanese student going to a neighborhood, but still a pretty good, school living close to poverty due to her father’s constant spending habits and obsession with art supplies. With the household lacking a mother due to wacky shenanigans, Ayeka takes care of her two younger siblings and the house, all while maintaining a very well-paid job and slowly loosing interest in actually studying for a good, honest job.

She’s the group’s resident sweetheart and really does not want you to do stupid shit, stop doing stupid shit. She tutors my son up there ^^ even though he’s actually smart and just refuses to do his work properly. But she still deeply cares for him.

the last girl of the ching chong trio and the reason I had to switch up my son’s design is this girly over here! Her design was too business-y and formal so I enrolled all of them into college. A rich girl who doesn’t know how to deal with her g a y thoughts. Tried sending Li Shen some flowers once. She didn’t realize attaching her name would be a good idea and son got a good laugh.

anyways,, Alexzandra is one of the more older ocs I have that didnt get a big revamp. Only an au I develop to the point I forgot the actual shows and the original cast are a little different from the source haha what? Isamu Aena! a mp100 oc I made by accident cause idk,, I was thinking about lolita fashion and all of a sudden, the actual oc I was going to make turned into a mob psycho oc. im gonna ignore that and move onto Lillian Yi! Who, i swear i did not meant for it, is very close to lloyd. I mean,, none of the ninjas were with him after s3, who you think he’d meet. Lillian is a survivor from the Great Devourour and yes I’m still pissed LEGO stole my backstory for Lillian to use for Harumi. FUCK YOU LEGO, i still love both of em tho,, The event did leave a big scar and it made Lillian job jumping for a bit, ending at Chen’s Noodles in S6~, where ya know,, stuff got better. She was a medalist for gymnastics and continue the activity, even after her parents’ death, to please others. She was already lost at the time so staying in the sport would help, right? Needless to say, after being rejected at a cop academy for youths, or something similar, she gave up for a while but got back into the idea of saving people by using her skills she already had. It helped with the weight and feelings and meeting the green ninja was a very big bonus. Also Lloyd dubbed her the “mysterious stranger” when she refused to speak in fear of her identity, slight shame, and maybe a bit of being star struck. It helped Lloyd too in a sense where he had something to distract him from Zane’s passing.

 Their relationship was eventually formed, strong and almost unbreakable, except for harumi but uhh thats a different story. Throughout the seasons, they stayed close and lloyd was always comforted by Lillian went times get ruff.

Also Lillian is my most light-hearted characters and I think that says a lot

Then there’s Nite “I don’t want to be your dad”. A character that is supposed to be in the ninjago world but barely interacts with the main story and only stays in his self contained plot. He was supposed to get a bf but uhhh idk. He’s the master of shifting and streams that online, taking out small crimes, and is actually really shy and doesn’t like interacting with people.

One time, while working at the museum, I was taking care of a small garden we had with a few co-workers. That day I was watering the plants alone with a watering pot I had bought (those green plastic ones) and I guess I hadn’t realized that there was this plastic fragment that stuck out from the bottom, so while watering the plants my hand slips (cause the watering pot is wet and heavy). Next thing I know my hands is bleeding A LOT. Luckily it didn’t leave a scar or anything.

El Manga de Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido-hen será publicado el 4 de septiembre

Kenshin será el protagonista de la nueva serie de Nobuhiro Watsuki

La edición de septiembre de la revista Jump SQ de Shueisha ha anunciado que la próxima serie Manga de Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido-hen por Nobuhiro Watsuki, será publicada en la edición de octubre de la revista a la venta el 4 dde septiembre del 2017 en Japón. 

En el nuevo Manga, Kenshin será el protagonista, y la historia contará con cinco “arcos”.  

Watsuki y su esposa Kaoru Kurosaki publicaron dos capítulos prólogo titulados "Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido-hen Jomaku: Ashitarou Zenka Ari" (Rurouni Kenshin Historia Alternativa: El Criminal Ashitarou) en la revista Jump SQ en noviembre y diciembre del año pasado. El Manga cuenta con un nuevo protagonista llamado Ashitaroi.

El segundo capítulo del spinoff reveló que su verdadero titulo es: "Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido-hen Jomaku: Ashitarou Zenka Ari" (Rurouni Kenshin Prologo del Arco de Hokkaido: El Criminal Ashitaro).

El Manga spinoff cuenta la historia de un nuevo personaje llamado Ashitarou Hasegawa, que ha sido llevado a prisión en Tokio por cometer un cierto crimen. En la edición del mes de Septiembre de la Revista Jump SQ de Shueisha se ha revelado que el mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki estará lanzando "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan: Hokkaido-hen" el próximo 4 de Septiembre a través de la edición de Octubre de la publicación antes referida. Originalmente se había anunciado el proyecto para ser lanzado en el mes de Diciembre del año pasado pero se fue retrasando la fecha de salida. Por supuesto, Kenshin Himura protagonizará este manga que abarcará 5 nuevos arcos. Watsuki y su esposa Kaoru Kurosaki publicaron un capítulo prólogo de dos episodios titulado "Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido-hen Jomaku: Ashitaro Zenka Ari" en Noviembre y Diciembre del 2016 respectivamente, dándole el protagonismo a un nuevo personaje llamado Ashitaro. ¿Listos para ver las nuevas aventuras del samurai vagabundo?
