The article, written by Tom Laemlein for The Armory Life, discusses Japan's development and deployment of the Type 100 submachine gun during World War II. Initially, the Japanese military showed little interest in submachine guns in the 1930s, but began development late into the war. Influenced by European models like the Thompson submachine gun and the German MP 18, Japan's early experimentation led to the creation of the Type 100 by Nambu Arms, which was adopted by the military in 1942. Despite its practical design aimed at increased firepower in urban battles, the production was limited and delayed, resulting in only about 10,000 units by the end of the war and failing to significantly impact the Japanese military's capabilities. The Type 100 had notable variants including a folding stock model for paratroopers. However, with the lack of a powerful cartridge and production challenges, the Type 100 was ultimately considered inferior to other contemporary SMGs in terms of effectiveness and production ease. Despite this, it had a unique design and served a specialized role during its limited use in the war.

There's a lot of "Asriel revived the 6 fallen humans" things out there, mostly you guys wanting Clover back, which, I mean, totally fair.
I still wonder how that would work which bodies decaying and all that(even if they’re mummified they can still dehydrate). I know the AUs don't need to follow logic, but here's 3 ideas I had that still makes some sort of sense and I feel like have potential:
1. The Humans turned into Ghost Monsters
2. The Humans turned into Zombie Monsters
3. Asriel tried to restore the humans' bodies with magic and ended up creating human/monster mixes.
I like the 3rd one the best personally. And the 3rd can go multiple routes with "They're stuck with it for the rest of their lives", or "They turn into boss monsters", or even "as their human bodies recover the magic given to them slowly wears away so they're eventually fully human again". Or you can go angst and have the magic parts melt because determination and have the humans look kinda like the amalgamates in a way.
Honestly I'd do it myself but I cannot draw.
Edit:
4th idea! The human souls end up choosing a monster to fuse with.

Pirate and Pirate Hunter!England
I can't find my post about Pirate Hunter!England, so I'll just post about it again but this time longer. I talked about this on a Discord server, but I also want to share this here on Tumblr. Basically, I thought about England becoming a pirate hunter like Benjamin Hornigold towards the end of the Golden Age of Piracy after he got pardoned for his involvement in piracy. It would be much more interesting if he had recruited some of those he was hunting as pirates because it would then mean he was hunting them for something he caused in the first place. The scenario could be dark, especially if he was enjoying his new job as the pirate hunter and depending on why or how he became a pirate hunter. Did he surrender himself? Was he defeated in battle? Did he get captured? Did he get marooned or shipwrecked and his government officials find him?
Imagine if the officials who captured him didn't know his identity as the personification of their empire and sentenced him to death? Or when they killed him in battle or when they found him dead and yet he came back to life? His revival would reveal his true nature, but they might think he was a malevolent being and burn him at the stake if they didn't know the existence of personifications or Arthur Kirkland, personifying England or Great Britain. His king might have known his activities and ordered for him to be found, so there would be officials who would know about him. But they might not be certain that the person they found was Arthur Kirkland. I imagine he would use an alias and distinguish himself from his appearance and persona as Arthur Kirkland as much as possible. And there might be other pirates who matched the description of his appearance. Also, what if his pirate allies knew he died, either hearing about or witnessing it, and yet for an unknown reason, he was alive? They would be very surprised and horrified to see the man they thought was dead parading around as a pirate hunter, hunting them but not as a ghost. Also, imagine if he rescued some of them from death and yet here he was sending them to death from which he helped them escape. It's poetically ironic. And, if he was not captured by his officials after his temporary death and was taken by his fellow pirates, the other pirates might burn him at the stake because they didn't know and understand what kind of being he was, scaring them. If he managed to survive and they found him before he could escape, who knew what cruel stuff they would do to Arthur to be able to rid of him completely?
I also think someone was bound to notice how odd he was if he spent too much time as a pirate surrounded by the same people. He also probably assumed more than one identity so he could stay as a pirate for a long time. As a non-human being who aged slowly and couldn't die easily, he would step away from piracy long enough for those who knew him to die, retire, or forget him. Then he would come back with a new identity, but he might come across people who knew him as his past identity. To their surprise, he was alive (if he died), looked the same as before, or thought he looked eerily similar to someone they saw or met before. But the pirate from before couldn't possibly be him!
As someone who played Assassins' Creed: Black Flag and enjoyed it very much, I like to think of Woodes Rogers and his men being the ones who captured him in the scenario of his getting captured. Arthur might have or might have not played a part in Rogers' getting imprisoned in Debter's prison. But imagine if he was too stubborn to keep his identity a secret that they killed him to know whether or not he would revive and be revealed as the personification they were looking for. Or they might not even question him and proceed to kill him straight away.
I also thought of Arthur hiding his loot by burying them because he considered the possibility of his capture or his returning to his government's arms, knowing that piracy would not last forever. He didn't want his officials to get their hands on all of what he looted. Of course, he would return to where he hid his loot and not everything he looted was hidden. He might even be kind enough to share his loot with his captors. Or forced to. I also like to think that Arthur helped in establishing the Pirate Republic in Nassau.
I think Arthur would be careful when he was still beginning as a pirate to not bring too much attention to himself and to prevent his inhumane characteristics from being noticed. Like, he would not sought the position of captain at first or another high position among the pirates. But he was having too much fun as a pirate, with the freedom that it gave him, that he couldn't help but seek a higher ranking. As a pirate, he would probably also not avoid attacking ships that came from his empire because doing so could annoy his crew and give them a reason to mutiny against him. However, he could keep the pretence of being a privateer by not attacking British ships, and I read somewhere that Hornigold was reluctant to attack these ships, eventually leading to his facing mutiny from his crew.

HAMAS ANNOUNCES THREE HOSTAGES WERE KILLED IN ISRAELI RECOVERY OPERATION, INCLUDING AMERICAN CITIZEN
📹 A video published by the Hamas Palestinian resistance movement states that yesterday's operation to recover four Israeli hostages held the resistance actually killed three other captives, including an American citizen.
"Your Israeli government killed a number of your captives in order to save other captives," a caption from the video details.
"After the massacre that your army committed in Nuseirat Camp yesterday to rescue 4 captives."
The message continues by stating that "in exchange for them, your own army killed 3 of your own captives in the same attack; one of them holds a USA citizenship."
"Your captives will not be released unless our prisoners are freed," the resistance group added, referring to thousands of prisoners being held by "Israel", including hundreds of Palestinian children from across Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
"Time is running out." ⏱️

Israel Vows Retaliation After Houthi Missile Strike
Tumblr media
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that Yemen's Houthi forces will face severe repercussions after a missile fired by the group landed in central Israel. The missile, which struck an uninhabited area early Sunday, marks a significant escalation, as it is the first time a Houthi missile has reached such deep into Israeli territory.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the missile landed in central Israel after evading air defense systems. Shrapnel found at the scene indicated that Israeli efforts to intercept the missile were unsuccessful. The military is now investigating how the missile managed to reach so far, nearly 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles) from Yemen.
The Houthis, an armed group involved in Yemen’s civil war, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying they used a new type of hypersonic missile, which may explain the failure to intercept it. In a statement, the group declared that the strike was in solidarity with the Palestinian cause, and warned that Israel should expect further attacks ahead of the anniversary of the 7 October Hamas-led assault.
The missile caused minor damage at a railway station in Modiin and in open land near Tel Aviv’s main international airport. Israeli authorities believe the damage resulted from fragments of Israel’s own interceptor missiles.
Netanyahu framed the strike as part of a broader conflict with Iran’s so-called "axis of resistance," which includes the Houthis, Hamas, and other Iran-backed groups opposed to Israel and its allies.
"We are in a multi-front battle against Iran’s axis of evil that seeks to destroy us," Netanyahu stated. "The Houthis should have learned by now that we exact a heavy price for any attempt to harm us."
This incident follows previous Houthi attacks, including a drone strike in July that killed one person and injured eight in Tel Aviv. In response to Sunday’s missile strike, Israeli jets launched retaliatory strikes on Hodeidah in Yemen, targeting key infrastructure, including an oil storage facility, which was set ablaze.
Israel continues its military campaign against Hamas following the 7 October attacks, which left around 1,200 people dead and 251 hostages taken to Gaza. According to the Hamas-run health ministry, more than 41,206 people have died in Gaza since Israel launched retaliatory operations.

i really dont understand studying at all like genuinely i don't know what it is . i know about "taking notes" and "reading the textbook" and that's it . quizlet doesn't do shit for me because i don't know what to. do. with the cards. look at them ? am i supposed to just look at them . No one bothered teaching me actual skills bc i got good grades when i was 8 and now i am so hopelessly lost . why did no one think to teach me this for when stuff got harder than four plus three
#text#ive never understood flashcards . like what to do with them. how is that any more different or helpful than just like... writing a list on#paper of vocab terms or whatever#and like conceptually i know 'learning' is like. not only committing things to memory but also being able to engage with it which#is why teachers loveeeee group discussions and essays. but like. you read the text and then you go to class and Discuss but how do you#Learn what the text is saying like how do you . put it in your brain and udnerstand and remember it .#i think im missing something very simple because everyone else in the world seems to understand this fine#like where does the part where you go oh! i understand this and can explain it in my own words. Happen#how do u force it to happen if its not something ur autistic about#Like the only example i can think of rn of this is when i hyperfixated on hpa axis dysregulation + trauma a couple weeks ago#so i was learning stuff about it for Fun and not for school so no comprehension tests or notes or anything#and basically i'd just put on a webinar while i sorted seaglass or worked on sewing or whaever#and i can explain the concept fine. ur brain controls ur body so if it gets too scared ur body loses its shit basically.#but i dont remember most of the words. i still can barely define neurotransmitter#i can apply this to my own life but i confuse the hippocampus and the frontal lobe and the amygdala etc#and i couldnt point out any of them on a diagram#i dont get it . like i know a lot and simultaneously nothing at all abt it#how am i supposedto be remembering words and numbers AND understanding the concepts AND im supposed to do that between#reading the book and engaging in thoughtful conversation with my peers i dont understand

i started inquisition when i was like. fifteen i think. and even then i really didn't get the numerous fan posts about how annoying solas is / up his own ass when the game time & time again feeds us tidbits of a broken down shell of a man who's going on a suicide mission to fix what he thinks he broke when he cast the old gods out. yeah his attitude about the dalish at the start of the game is insufferable but if you play as a dalish inq regardless of your rs w him he clearly admits he's blinded by his own bias to have recognized that the dalish are trying their best to reach for something long gone, revered only in tales & tomes.
